Description

[0001] The invention relates to a heating attachment for a smoking head of a water pipe according to the preamble of patent claim 1. Such a heating attachment is known, for example, from US 2017 / 0065776 A1.

[0002] In a water pipe, also called a shisha, tobacco with different flavors is burned, creating vapor. This vapor is passed through a water-filled container, usually made of glass, and inhaled. Water pipes are commonly heated by coconut charcoal or other types of coal.

[0003] There are also corded devices with electric heating elements that heat the tobacco electrically. For example, Electric Shisha Inc. (www.electricshisha.de) offers an electric shisha bowl, which acts as a smoking bowl and is placed on the charcoal tray of the shisha after it has been filled with tobacco. It is then connected to a power outlet via a cable.

[0004] Such a mains-voltage-dependent device disadvantageously limits the usability of the hookah.

[0005] The invention is therefore based on the object of creating a portable heating attachment for a smoking head of a water pipe, which does not require a mains connection for operation.

[0006] This object is achieved by a heating attachment having the features of patent claim 1.

[0007] Such a heating attachment for a smoking head of a water pipe, in which the smoking head comprises a tobacco chamber for holding tobacco and the tobacco chamber can be heated by means of an electric heating element, is characterized according to the invention in that the heating attachment comprises a coil body-like bushing with a tubular middle part and a first and second flange part formed on the end of the tubular middle part, the electrical heating element is arranged in the tubular middle part of the coil body-like bushing, and the coil body-like bushing has an annular space between the flange parts, in which an exchangeable electrical energy store is arranged and electrically connected to the electrical heating element.

[0008] The advantage of this heating attachment is not only that the shisha can be operated without coal, but that the electrical energy storage device is replaceable, which preferably consists of at least one battery or at least one accumulator, wherein a battery or accumulator holder is provided for the at least one battery or the at least one accumulator.

[0009] According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the tubular central part has a bushing opening with a trumpet-shaped cross-section in the region of at least one flange element. This ensures a laminar flow of the air stream entering or exiting the tubular central part.

[0010] According to a further preferred embodiment of the invention, the electric heating element is designed as a linear heating coil adapted to the inner diameter of the central portion. Such a heating attachment with the heating coil arranged in the central portion of the coil-form socket results in a simple and therefore cost-effective design.

[0011] Preferably, the first flange part has a circular ring on the flange surface opposite the second flange part. When such a heating attachment is placed on a smoke column of a hookah's coal tray, the circular ring keeps the flange surface supporting the circular ring at a suitable distance from the coal tray, so that the resulting space can be used as a tobacco chamber for storing tobacco.

[0012] An alternative arrangement of the electric heating element is achieved by further developing the central part has a widening in the direction of the first flange part to form a heating chamber, and the heating element is arranged in the widening.

[0013] With such a heating chamber realized in this way in the area of the first flange part adjacent to the tobacco chamber, an even more effective heating of the air flow flowing to the tobacco chamber is achieved.

[0014] Preferably, with this arrangement of the electric heating element in a region of the central part that widens to form the heating chamber, the heating chamber is defined by the plane of the first flange part, with the widening resulting in an opening in the first flange part that is larger than the inner tube diameter of the central part. To prevent injury to the hookah user, this opening in the first flange part is covered by a mesh element.

[0015] In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the inner wall of the central part, extending from the second flange portion toward the first flange portion, is conically shaped to form a coil former-like bushing with a central portion widened to form the heating chamber. This conical shape of the tubular central portion has the advantage that sufficient air can quickly flow in and heats up evenly, thereby adequately heating the tobacco.

[0016] If the electric heating element in the heating chamber formed by the widening of the central part is designed as a ring-shaped spiral coil, it is advantageously achieved that the tobacco in the tobacco chamber is heated quickly and produces sufficient smoke.

[0017] Finally, a last preferred development of the invention improves the handling of the heating element by the electrical energy storage device comprises at least one replaceable battery or at least one accumulator, and the at least one replaceable battery or the at least one accumulator is arranged in a battery or accumulator receptacle.

[0018] The invention is described in detail below using exemplary embodiments with reference to the accompanying figures. They show: Figure 1 shows a sectional view of a heating attachment as a first embodiment with a schematically indicated tobacco chamber, Figure 2 shows a perspective view of a smoking head, which together with the heating attachment according to Figure 1 can be used for a water pipe, Figure 3 shows an exploded view of the heating attachment according to Figure 1 , Figure 4 a sectional view of a heating attachment as a second embodiment with a schematically indicated tobacco chamber, Figure 5 a perspective view of the coil body-like socket of the heating attachment according to Figure 4 , Figure 6 a partial view of the coil body-like socket according to Figure 5 in the area of the heating chamber in a perspective sectional view, and Figure 7 a perspective view of a smoking head, which together with the heating attachment according to Figure 4 can be used for a hookah.

[0019] A heating attachment 1 as a first embodiment of the invention is shown in the Figures 1 and 3, which consists of a coil former-like bushing 2 with a tubular central part 2.1, to which a first flange part 2.2 is formed at one axial end and a second flange part 2.3 at the opposite axial end. An electrical energy storage device 5, which is constructed from replaceable batteries or replaceable accumulators 5.0, is arranged in an annular space 2.4 between the two flange parts 2.2 and 2.3. This electrical energy storage device 5 is electrically connected to an electrical heating element 4 arranged in the tubular central part 2.1, which is designed as a straight heating coil and, with respect to the vertical direction (z-direction), is located in the lower part of the central part 2.1, i.e. directly adjacent to the first flange part 2.2. The diameter of this coil of the electrical heating element 4 is adapted to the inner diameter of the central part 2.1.

[0020] The course of the electrical connecting lines between the electrical heating element 4 and the batteries or accumulators 5.0 is Figure 1 visible.

[0021] The Figure 2 shows a smoking head 10 for a water pipe (not shown), which is only complete as a smoking head 10 when combined with the heating attachment 1 shown in Figures 1 and 3. This smoking head 10 consists of a smoke column 13 with a mounted coal plate 12, whereby this arrangement of smoke column 13 and coal plate 12 forms a central smoke chimney 14. On the coal plate 12 is a groove-shaped recess radially enclosing the smoke chimney 14 as a tobacco chamber 11. This tobacco chamber 11 contains the tobacco required for operating the water pipe.

[0022] The heating attachment 1 is placed with the lower first flange part 2.2 relative to a vertical direction (z-direction) on the coal plate 12 in such a way that the smoke chimney 14 of the arrangement of smoke column 13 and coal plate 12 is aligned with the sleeve opening 2.5.

[0023] In order to ensure both a safe and defined position of the heating attachment 1 on the carbon plate 12 and a defined distance between the first flange part 2.2 and the carbon plate 12, a circular ring 2.22 is arranged on the outer flange surface of the first flange part 2.2, the free end surface of which rests on the bottom surface of the carbon plate 12.

[0024] Once the shisha designed for the smoking head 10 with the attached heating attachment 1 is put into operation, an air stream L1 drawn in with a mouthpiece of the shisha is drawn into the sleeve opening 2.5 via an inlet opening 2.30 of the second flange part 2.3 and heated by the electric heating element 4. The heated air stream L2 exits the sleeve opening 2.5 via an outlet opening 2.20 of the first flange part 2.2. Due to the trumpet-shaped cross-section of the outlet opening 2.20, the exiting air stream L2 is directed onto the tobacco T in the tobacco chamber 11. The air stream L2 enriched with fragrances from the tobacco T is then directed further into the smoke column 13 and from there into the immersion tube of the shisha.

[0025] The fresh air flow L1 is sucked in through the inlet opening 2.30 with a trumpet-shaped cross-section.

[0026] The following describes in detail the structure of the heating attachment 1 according to the Figures 1 and3 explained.

[0027] The coil body-like sleeve 2 consists of a tubular central part 2.1 whose sleeve bore 2.5 has a constant inner diameter over the entire axial length.

[0028] At the lower end of the middle part 2.1 relative to the vertical direction (z-direction), the first flange part 2.2 with the trumpet-shaped outlet opening 2.20 and a bowl-shaped edge 2.21 is formed in the direction of the second flange element 2.3.

[0029] At the upper end of the middle part 2.1 relative to the vertical direction (z-direction), the second flange part 2.3 is formed with the trumpet-shaped inlet opening 2.30 and a bowl-shaped edge 2.31 bent in the direction of the second flange element 2.3.

[0030] As already explained above, batteries or accumulators 5.0 are exchangeably held by a battery or accumulator holder 6, wherein the batteries or accumulators 5.0 are cylindrical.

[0031] This battery or accumulator receptacle 6 is constructed in the shape of a coil former with a tubular center section 6.0 and flange sections 6.1 and 6.2 formed on the ends. The lower flange section 6.1, viewed in the vertical direction (z-direction), has a flange reinforcement 6.10, which is adapted to the contour of the first flange section 2.2 of the socket 2 with a thickness corresponding to the height of the edge 2.21 of the first flange section 2.2. Thus, the end face of the edge 2.21 forms a uniform surface with the inside of the flange reinforcement 6.10.

[0032] The coil former-like bushing 2 is made of metal, for example, a heat-resistant composite plastic with a heat resistance of greater than 500 degrees Celsius and low thermal conductivity. During operation of the electric heating element 4, the coil former-like bushing 2 is also heated, primarily in the area of the center section 2.1 and the first flange section 2.2. To minimize heat conduction toward the electrical energy storage device 5, the center section 6.0 and the flange reinforcement 6.10 are made of a heat-insulating material, such as a heat-resistant composite plastic.

[0033] As from Figure 3 As can be seen, the coil-formed socket 2 is made of two symmetrical socket halves 2.6 and 2.7, with the parting plane running in the axial direction of the socket 2. After the electrical heating element 4 has been installed, these two socket halves 2.6 and 2.7 are mechanically joined.

[0034] The battery or accumulator holder 6 also consists of Figure 3 of two symmetrical receiving halves 6.3 and 6.4, each of which encloses the middle part 2.1 of the socket 2 in a semi-circular manner.

[0035] The advantage of the heating attachment 1 according to the Figures 1 and 3 consists in the fact that the air flow L1 guided axially through the coil body-like bushing 2 is guided directly over the electrical heating element 4 and is heated quickly and directly before it is subsequently guided over the tobacco T.

[0036] A second embodiment of the heating attachment 1 according to the invention is shown in the Figures 4 , 5 and 6 .

[0037] This heating attachment also complies with the Figures 4 and 5consists of a coil former-like bushing 2 with a tubular central part 2.1, to which a first flange part 2.2 is formed at one axial end and a second flange part 2.3 at the opposite axial end. An electrical energy storage device 5, which is constructed from replaceable batteries or replaceable accumulators 5.0, is arranged in an annular space 2.4 between the two flange parts 2.2 and 2.3. This electrical energy storage device 5 is electrically connected to an electrical heating element 4 arranged in a heating chamber 3.0.

[0038] This heating chamber 3.0 is formed by an expansion 3 of the central section 2.1 of the bushing 2. This expansion 3 is located in the lower region of the central section 2.1 relative to the vertical direction (z-direction), i.e., directly adjacent to the first flange part 2.2. Starting from the central section 2.1, the central section 2.1 opens into the expansion 3 in a dome-shaped manner and ends in the plane of the first flange part 2.2 in an opening 2.23 that is larger than the inner tube diameter of the unexpanded central section 2.1 and is covered by a grid element 7.

[0039] The electric heating element 4 is according to Figure 6 as a ring-shaped spiral coil and is electrically connected to the batteries or accumulators 5.0 via connecting lines. The electrical connecting lines between the electrical heating element 4 and the batteries or accumulators 5.0 are Figure 4The supply lines are then routed out of the heat zone via the shortest route and connected to the accumulators using heat-resistant cables.

[0040] The Figure 7 shows a smoking head 10 for a water pipe (not shown), which is only used together with the Figure 4 The illustrated heating attachment 1 is complete as a smoke head 10. This smoke head 10 consists of a smoke column 13 with a coal plate 12 placed thereon, wherein the smoke column 13 continues into a chimney 13.1 standing vertically on the coal plate 12. Below the coal plate 12 is a tobacco chamber 11 which holds tobacco T and in which the chimney 13.1 ends. This arrangement of smoke column 13, tobacco chamber 11, and chimney 13.1 creates a centrally running smoke chimney.

[0041] The heating element 1 according to Figure 4is placed on the coal plate 12 with the lower first flange part 2.2 in relation to a vertical direction (z-direction), so that the chimney 13.1 extends through the grid element 7, through the heating chamber 3.0 and then through the middle part 2.1, wherein the chimney 13.1 is guided through the ring formed by the heating element 4.

[0042] This means that the heating element 1 is in accordance with Figure 4 with the outer surface of the first flange part 2.2 on the carbon plate 12.

[0043] Once the shisha designed for the smoke head 10 with the attached heating attachment 1 is put into operation, an air stream L1 drawn in with a mouthpiece of the shisha is drawn into the chimney 13.1 protruding through an inlet opening 2.30 of the second flange part 2.3 and indirectly heated by the electric heating element 4 surrounding the chimney 13.1. The thus heated air stream L2 exits the chimney 13.1 directly into the tobacco chamber 11 to heat the tobacco T stored there. Subsequently, the air stream L2 enriched with the fragrances of the tobacco T is directed further into the smoke column 13 and from there into the immersion tube of the shisha.

[0044] The fresh air flow L1 is sucked in through the inlet opening 2.30 with a trumpet-shaped cross-section.

[0045] The following describes in detail the structure of the heating attachment 1 according to the Figures 4 , 5 and 6 explained.

[0046] The coil body-like sleeve 2 consists of a tubular central part 2.1, the sleeve bore 2.5 of which widens conically over the axial length up to the widening 3, starting from the inlet opening 2.30 of the second flange part 2.3.

[0047] At the lower end of the central part 2.1 relative to the vertical direction (z-direction) is the widened portion 3 with the opening 2.23 of the first flange part 2.2, whose plane defines the lower boundary of the widened portion 3, i.e., the heating chamber 3.0 relative to the vertical direction (z-direction). The edge 2.21 of the first flange part 2.2 is bent in a bowl-shaped manner toward the second flange part 2.3.

[0048] At the upper end of the middle part 2.1 relative to the vertical direction (z-direction), the second flange part 2.3 is formed with the trumpet-shaped inlet opening 2.30 and a bowl-shaped edge 2.31 bent in the direction of the second flange element 2.3.

[0049] The coil body-like socket 2 is Figure 5 shown in perspective without the battery or accumulator holder 6.

[0050] As already explained above, the batteries or accumulators 5.0 are exchangeably held by a battery or accumulator holder 6, wherein the batteries or accumulators 5.0 are cylindrical.

[0051] The battery or accumulator holder 6 is in accordance with Figure 4 connected to the funnel-shaped housing in a coil body shape, whereby all accumulators are cast in an insulating compound in order to achieve heat shielding and stabilization.

[0052] The coil-forming socket 2 is made of metal, for example, a heat-resistant composite plastic. During operation of the electrical heating element 4, the coil-forming socket 2 is also heated, primarily in the area of the central part 2.1 and the first flange part 2.2. To minimize heat conduction toward the electrical energy storage device 5, a separating element 2.8 with low thermal conductivity is located between the central part 2.1 and the second flange part 2.3.

[0053] A further separating element 2.9 with low thermal conductivity has the first flange element 2.2, which is ring-shaped and encloses the opening 2.23 in the first flange part 2.2 in a frame-like manner.

[0054] The two separating elements 2.8 and 2.9 are made of a suitable plastic or ceramic, for example.

[0055] As from Figure 5As can be seen, the coil body-like socket 2 is made in one piece.

[0056] The battery or accumulator holder 6 is designed in accordance with Figure 3 also made up of two symmetrical receiving halves, each of which encloses the middle part 2.1 of the socket 2 in a semi-circular manner. List of reference symbols
