Description

[0001] The invention relates to a mounting frame for ventilation components in a ceiling, in particular a drywall ceiling, grid ceiling or Odenwald ceiling.

[0002] From DE 20 2012 001 735 U1, a mounting frame for air vents is known, comprising a tubular element with a radially projecting collar at one end. In the installed state, the collar rests against the visible side of the ceiling, while the tubular element passes through a hole in the ceiling. On the back side of the ceiling, installation lines can be routed to the hole, and corresponding air vents can be installed in the mounting frame. The mounting frame can be screwed to the ceiling through holes in the collar or fastened to the ceiling using a self-tapping thread on the outside of the tubular element. The externally visible screws detract from the visual appearance. Using the self-tapping thread, which cuts radially around the perimeter of the ceiling, poses a risk of damaging the ceiling.

[0003] Further examples of state of the art include WO 2011 / 148646 A1, JP 2000 310436 A and DE 10 2019 113 400 A1.

[0004] The object of the invention is therefore to provide a mounting frame for ventilation components in a ceiling, which allows for improved installation, in particular installation that minimizes installation time.

[0005] The problem is solved according to the invention by a mounting frame for ventilation components in a ceiling with the features of claim 1.

[0006] Advantageous features and further training opportunities are specified in the dependent requirements.

[0007] The mounting frame according to the invention for ventilation components in a ceiling, in particular a drywall ceiling, suspended ceiling or Odenwald ceiling, comprises a first tubular element with a first end and a second end, wherein at least one first radially projecting collar element is arranged at the first end, and a second tubular element with a first end and a second end, wherein at least one second radially projecting collar element is arranged at the first end, the first element having a first axial section with an internal thread and the second element having a first axial section with an external thread. This makes it possible to position the first tubular element against a hole in the ceiling on the back side and to screw the second tubular element into the first tubular element from the visible side through the hole. The first collar element rests against the back of the ceiling, and the second collar element against the visible side, with the ceiling clamped between the two collar elements. This eliminates the need for drilling or radial cutting into the ceiling to the side of the hole.

[0008] According to the invention, the first tubular element comprises a first axial section with a first outer diameter and a second axial section with a second outer diameter, wherein the second outer diameter of the second axial section is smaller than the first outer diameter of the first axial section. In other words, the first tubular element tapers in a step-like manner towards the second axial section. This configuration allows a hose, for example an air supply or exhaust hose, to be slid onto the first tubular element from its second end. Alternatively, a connecting element, which is for example tubular in shape and can be inserted section by section into the second end of the first tubular element, can be arranged at the second end.A hose, for example an air supply or exhaust hose, can be attached to the connecting element, for example by pushing the hose onto a section of the connecting element that protrudes from the first tubular element.

[0009] According to the invention, the second axial section has a first inner diameter and the second tubular element has a second inner diameter, wherein the first and second inner diameters are of the same size. When the second tubular element is screwed into the first tubular element, this results in a substantially flat inner surface, which helps to avoid flow losses.

[0010] An advantageous embodiment of the invention provides that the second tubular element has a cutting edge at its second end. This allows for axial cutting into the ceiling.

[0011] Preferably, the first radially projecting collar element and / or the second radially projecting collar element is formed circumferentially. This allows for increased stability through the largest possible contact surface.

[0012] Advantageously, the first radially projecting collar element and / or the second radially projecting collar element has a knurled surface or one or more indentations on an outer edge. Such a design provides an improved grip when a user wants to screw in the first or second tubular element.

[0013] According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the first tubular element has an internal insertion chamfer at its first end. This can facilitate the insertion of the second tubular element into the first tubular element.

[0014] Preferably, the internal thread of the first tubular element has several axially extending smooth surfaces.

[0015] Advantageously, a sealing element is arranged between the first tubular element and the second tubular element. This design prevents flow losses.

[0016] According to a particularly preferred embodiment of the invention, the first tubular element and the second tubular element are manufactured by injection molding. This enables a particularly simple and cost-effective manufacturing process.

[0017] An embodiment of the invention is explained in detail with reference to the following figures. They show Fig. 1 a perspective view of an embodiment of a mounting frame according to the invention with a first tubular element and a second tubular element, Fig. 2 a perspective view of the first tubular element of the mounting frame according to Figure 1 , Fig. 3 another perspective view of the first tubular element according to Figure 2 , Fig. 4 a top view of the first tubular element according to Figure 2 , Fig. 5 a section along line AA in Figure 4 , Fig. 6 a section along line BB in Figure 4 , Fig. 7 a perspective view of the second tubular element of the mounting frame according to Figure 1 , Fig. 8 another perspective view of the second tubular element according to Figure 7 , Fig. 9 a top view of the second tubular element according to Figure 7 , Fig. 10 a section along line AA in Figure 9 , Fig. 11 a section along line BB in Figure 4and Fig. 12 an axial section through the mounting frame according to Figure 1 in a ceiling-mounted state.

[0018] Figure 1 Figure 1 shows a perspective view of an embodiment of a mounting frame 1 with a first tubular element 10 and a second tubular element 20; Figures 2 to 6 show different views of the first tubular element 10. Figures 7 to 11 Figures 1 and 2 show different views of the second tubular element 20, and Figure 13 shows an installation situation of the mounting frame 1 in a ceiling 30. For clarity, not all reference numerals are given in all figures.

[0019] The first tubular element 10 has a first end 10a and a second end 10b, which are each open. At least one first radially projecting collar element 11 is arranged at the first end 10a. The radially projecting collar element 11 can be circumferential. A ribbing or one or, as shown, several notches 12 or other structuring can be arranged on an outer edge 11a of the first radially projecting collar element 11 (see in particular the following). Figures 2 to 6 ). At its first end 10a, the first tubular element 10, in particular at the transition between the first collar element 11 and the tubular section, can have an internal insertion chamfer 18 (see in particular Figure 2 ).

[0020] The first element 10 has a first axial section 13 with an internal thread 15. The internal thread 15 can either be formed circumferentially over the entire inner circumference or, as shown in the exemplary embodiment, be interrupted by several axially extending smooth surfaces 16.

[0021] A second axial section 14, which has a second outer diameter AD2, can be connected to the first axial section 13, which has a first outer diameter AD1, wherein the second outer diameter AD2 of the second axial section 14 is smaller than the first outer diameter AD1 of the first axial section 13. The first tubular element 10 thus has a circumferential edge 17, particularly on its outer surface.

[0022] The second tubular element 20 has a first end 20a and a second end 20b, which are each open. At least one second radially projecting collar element 21 is arranged at the first end 20a. The radially projecting collar element 21 can be circumferential. Figures 7 to 11 ). At its second end 10b, the second tubular element 20 can have a cutting edge 27 (see in particular ). Figures 8, 10 and 11 ).

[0023] The second element 20 has a first axial section 23 with an external thread 25, which can be screwed into the internal thread 15 (cf. Figure 1 and 12A sealing element (not shown) can be arranged between the first tubular element 10 and the second tubular element 20.

[0024] The second axial section 14 has a first inner diameter ID1, and the second tubular element 20, in particular its first axial section 23, has a second inner diameter ID2. The first inner diameter ID1 and the second inner diameter ID2 can be of the same size.

[0025] The first tubular element 10 and the second tubular element 20 can be made of polyethylene. In particular, the first tubular element 10 and the second tubular element 20 can be manufactured by injection molding.

[0026] The assembly on the ceiling 30, which has a visible side 31 and a rear side 32, can be carried out as follows. A hole 33 is provided in the ceiling 30. The first tubular element 10 is positioned around the hole 33 at the rear side 32, with the first collar element 11 in particular bearing against the rear side 32. The second tubular element 20 is screwed into the first tubular element 10 from the visible side 31 through the hole 33, with the external thread 25 of the second tubular element 20 being screwed into the internal thread 15 of the first tubular element 10, in particular until the second collar element 21 of the second tubular element 20 bears against the visible side 31 of the ceiling 30.

[0027] A hose for supplying or extracting air can be pushed from the second end 10b of the first tubular element 10 over the outer surface of the first tubular element 10. Alternatively, a connecting element (not shown) can be arranged at the second end 10b of the first tubular element 10, to which a hose, for example an air supply or exhaust hose, can be attached, for example by sliding it on.

[0028] Ventilation components such as a ventilation valve, in particular a disc valve, can be inserted into the second tubular element 20.

[0029] Ceiling 30 could be a drywall ceiling, a grid ceiling or an Odenwald ceiling. Reference symbol list
