AI Technical Summary
Bathtubs with splash guards and side panels often create visually and functionally unsatisfactory situations due to divided edges and steps, making cleaning difficult and prone to dirt accumulation.
A holding profile is attached to the bathtub, securing a splash guard and apron to form a flush outer wall that extends above and below the bathtub edge, simplifying cleaning and providing a visually appealing, easy-to-clean surface.
The flush outer wall design allows easy access and cleaning, eliminating dirt accumulation and creating a visually appealing, seamless surface.
Description
[0001] The present invention relates to a bathtub with a splash guard wall, wherein at least one side surface of the bathtub is at least partially covered with an apron and the apron extends in height up to a region of a bathtub rim of the bathtub.
[0002] It is well known that bathtubs can be paneled on one side for aesthetic reasons to create a flat side surface. For this purpose, aprons are often used, which are attached to the sides of a support structure in which the bathtub is inserted. The side paneling is often flush with the tub edge. The apron can also be designed as a tile support, onto which a tile covering or other visible covering is applied after the bathtub is installed. In this case, the outer surface of the tiles is often flush with the tub edge.
[0003] Glass splash guards are also known, which sit at the top of the bathtub and extend a certain distance along the edge. The splash guard can be attached to a wall at one end and can also be pivoted, even partially, to make it easier to enter the bathtub.
[0004] Combining a bathtub's side panel with a glass apron and splash guard results in a visually and functionally unsatisfactory situation. The splash guard essentially divides the upper edge of the bathtub into an inner and an outer section. This makes cleaning the bathtub more difficult. Furthermore, the outer part of the bathtub rim creates a step on the outside of the bathtub. However, dirt easily accumulates on such a step and is also visually unattractive.
[0005] Similar problems arise with shower cubicles comprising a shower tray with a side panel and adjoining shower walls. DE 7619213 U1, for example, shows the arrangement of retaining profiles on the edge of the shower tray, with one retaining profile holding the shower wall and the other holding profile holding an apron. The joint between the retaining profiles is covered with a flat strip screwed to a retaining profile. This also results in numerous edges and projections on which dirt can accumulate and which are difficult to clean. In DE 9305281 U1, the edge of a shower tray is designed as a retaining profile into which a cubicle wall is inserted. This gives rise to the same problems as with a splash guard mounted on the edge of a bathtub. US 5,671,488 A shows a one-piece, outwardly flush glass panel as a splash guard, which is placed on the floor and supported by the floor. The transition between the glass panel and the shower tray is sealed with a sealing profile. However, such an arrangement is not suitable for a bathtub, as bathtubs are usually placed on an uneven subfloor with very inaccurate tolerances.
[0006] It is therefore an object of the invention to solve these problems in a bathtub with a splash guard.
[0007] This task is solved by arranging a holding profile on the bathtub and the holding profile holding the splash guard and the splash guard and the apron forming a flush outer wall, wherein the outer wall adjoins the side of the bathtub edge and at least partially covers the bathtub edge and extends a certain height above the bathtub edge and a certain height below the bathtub edge.
[0008] Because the exterior wall is now attached to the side of the bathtub, the splash guard no longer sits on top of the bathtub's edge as before. This makes the bathtub's edge easily accessible for cleaning. Furthermore, a continuous, flush exterior wall is created, which is not only visually appealing but also easy to clean.
[0009] Advantageously, the retaining profile is attached to the edge of the bathtub, or the bathtub is mounted on a support structure and the retaining profile is attached to the support structure. This allows for a simple yet secure attachment of the retaining profile to the bathtub.
[0010] Attaching the splash guard is simplified if the support profile has a longitudinal groove and the splash guard is positioned in the longitudinal groove. The splash guard can be positioned directly in the longitudinal groove. Alternatively, a fastener with a hook-shaped projection can be attached to the splash guard at the correct location, and the hook-shaped projection engages the longitudinal groove to hold the splash guard to the bathtub.
[0011] The usability of the bathtub can be improved by providing a recess on one of the side walls to create an entryway. This makes access to the bathtub, which can also be used as a shower, much easier. In this case, it is advantageous to provide an entry lock that can be positioned in the entryway to close the entryway and also allow the bathtub to function. The entry lock can be designed as a pivoting door or a bulkhead.
[0012] Particularly advantageous is a design with a bathtub with sealing surfaces in the entry area on the inner surfaces of the bathtub and on a floor surface of the bathtub, and with a bulkhead with a bulkhead seal on an outer peripheral surface facing the inner surfaces of the bathtub and the floor surface. When the bulkhead is used to close the entry, the bulkhead seal rests against the sealing surfaces of the bathtub. This design enables flush-to-floor entry.
[0013] The seal of the bulkhead can be improved if the inner surfaces of the bathtub, which form the sealing surfaces, are designed to taper towards the floor, and the bulkhead is designed to be tapered in the opposite direction. This allows the seal to be easily pre-tensioned.
[0014] Advantageously, the entry closure is provided with a locking part that can be activated and deactivated by a locking mechanism. A locking counterpart is provided on the bathtub, which, when activated, interacts with the locking part to secure the entry closure to the entry. In this way, the entry closure can be locked in the entry as needed to prevent accidental opening of the entry.
[0015] The operational safety of a bathtub with a drain and an entry can be improved if the drain can be opened and closed using a drain control, and the activated locking part is blocked by a mechanism that interacts with the drain's drain control when the drain is closed. This prevents the entry lock from being accidentally deactivated when the drain is closed. Likewise, operational safety can be improved if the drain cannot be closed using the drain control when the locking part is deactivated, using a mechanism that interacts with the drain's drain control. This prevents the drain from being accidentally closed without the entry lock at the entry being locked.
[0016] The present invention is described below with reference to the Figuren 1 bis 17 which show exemplary, schematic and non-limiting advantageous embodiments of the invention. Fig.1 a bathtub according to the invention with splash guard, Fig.2 bis Fig.7 possible designs for attaching the splash guard, Fig.8 an assembly process for mounting the outer wall on a bathtub, Fig.9 a version with a one-piece outer wall, Fig.10 the design of the bathtub with an entry on one side wall of the bathtub, Fig.11 and 12 the design of an entry lock as a swing door, Fig.13 the design of an access closure as a bulkhead, Fig.14 the design of the bathtub with a floor-level entry, Fig.15 a design of a bulkhead with locking and locking operation and the Fig.16 und 17 the use of a bulkhead with locking and locking mechanism at the entrance of a bathtub.
[0017] Fig.1 shows a bathtub 1 according to the invention with a splash guard 2. The splash guard 2 is provided on one side of the bathtub 1, here the longer side, and in the embodiment shown extends over the entire length of this side. However, the splash guard 2 can also extend only along part of the length of one side of the bathtub 1 and can also be arranged on the shorter side of the bathtub 1. The bathtub 1 is laterally lined with an apron 3 in the area between the bathtub edge 4 and the floor, in the embodiment shown on all free sides of the bathtub 1. However, it is fundamentally possible for the bathtub 1 to be at least partially lined with an apron 3 only on one side of the bathtub 1, in particular on the side on which the splash guard 2 is also arranged. However, the apron does not necessarily have to cover the entire area between the bathtub edge 4 and the floor.
[0018] The splash guard 2 and the apron 3 form a flush outer wall 7, as described in detail below.
[0019] "Flush" means that the outer wall 7, i.e. the splash guard 2 and the apron 3, forms a substantially continuous surface on the outer surface opposite the bathtub 1, except for a possible joint between the splash guard 2 and the apron 3. This should also include the apron 3 being constructed in several parts with an apron base body 21 and a visible covering 22 (as described below with reference to the Fig.7 explained). The apron base body 21 is set back laterally in the direction of the bathtub 1 compared to the splash guard 2. A visible covering 22 is applied to the apron base body 21, for example a tile covering or a glass plate or similar. The apron base body 21 with the visible covering 22 arranged thereon then forms the apron 3. The apron base body 21 with the visible covering 22 arranged thereon essentially forms a continuous surface, except for a possible joint between the splash guard 2 and the apron 3. The visible covering 22 can be applied to the apron base body 21 and the apron 3 formed in this way can be arranged on the bathtub 1. Or the apron base body 21 is arranged on the bathtub 1 and only then is the visible covering 22 applied to the apron base body 21. In these cases, too, the splash guard 2 and the apron 3 are arranged flush.
[0020] The outer wall 7 adjoins the bathtub edge 4 at the side and at least partially covers the bathtub edge 4 and the height of the bathtub 1. The bathtub 1 is thus arranged laterally next to the outer wall 7, or in other words, the outer wall 7 is arranged laterally next to the bathtub 1. The outer wall 7 extends a certain height beyond the bathtub edge 4 and also extends below the bathtub edge 4, preferably to the floor 8 on which the bathtub 1 is arranged. The outer wall 7 thus at least partially separates the bathtub 1 from the surroundings.
[0021] For stability reasons, a known bracket 5 can be arranged at the upper end of the splash guard 2, which is attached to a wall 6 when the bathtub 1 is in use. Additionally or alternatively, one side of the splash guard 2, which faces a wall 6 when in use, can also be attached to the wall, for example via suitable wall profiles or brackets (in Fig.1 not shown, as it is well known).
[0022] The splash guard 2 is preferably made of glass or plastic and can also be printed or covered with a film for aesthetic reasons. An apron 3 can also be made of glass, but can also be made of ceramic, a metal (such as aluminum), or a plastic. Composite materials are also conceivable for the splash guard 2 and the apron 3. The apron 3 can be designed as an apron base body 21 with a visible covering 22 applied thereto.
[0023] Fig.2 shows a section of a cross-section through the bathtub 1 in the area of a bathtub edge 4, where the splash guard 2 and the apron 3 are provided. A supporting structure 11 on which the bathtub 1 is arranged can be seen.
[0024] The design of the support structure 11 is irrelevant to the invention. However, the support structure 11 is usually arranged on the floor 8, sometimes not on a finished floor, but also on an unfinished floor, such as a screed or concrete floor.
[0025] A retaining profile 10 is arranged in the area of the bathtub edge 4. The retaining profile 10 extends at least partially along the bathtub edge 4, preferably corresponding to the length of the splash guard 2. The retaining profile 10 can be attached to the support structure 11, as in Fig.2 , or attached to the bathtub 1, for example to the bathtub edge 4. The attachment can be made, for example, by means of screws (as in Fig.2 indicated) or gluing, or any other suitable fastening technique.
[0026] The splash guard 2 is held by the retaining profile 10, so that the splash guard 2 connects laterally to the bathtub edge 4. "Holding" means that the retaining profile 10 supports the splash guard 2 and fixes the splash guard 2, at least in the area of the retaining profile 10.
[0027] The splash guard 2 does not have to be directly adjacent to the side of the bathtub rim 4 and touch the bathtub rim 4, but can also be slightly spaced from it. However, the lateral distance is preferably no greater than that required for the arrangement of the retaining profile 10 on the bathtub 1 and the arrangement of a seal 12 between the bathtub rim 4 and the splash guard 2.
[0028] In the design according to Fig.2 The retaining profile 10 protrudes laterally from the bathtub edge 4. In the laterally protruding part of the retaining profile 10, a longitudinal groove 13 is provided, aligned in the longitudinal direction of the retaining profile 10, in which the splash guard 2 is arranged. The longitudinal groove 13 is L-shaped. The web of the L-shaped longitudinal groove 13, which extends in the direction of the planar extent of the splash guard 2, is arranged between the splash guard 2 and the bathtub edge 4. The longitudinal groove 13 extends at least partially along the bathtub edge 4, preferably corresponding to the length of the splash guard 2.
[0029] The apron 3 is arranged below the splash guard 2, for example on the support structure 11, so that the flush outer wall 7 is created.
[0030] Based on the Fig.3 A further embodiment of the bathtub 1 according to the invention with an outer wall 7 is described. In this embodiment, a retaining profile 10 is again provided on the bathtub 1. The retaining profile 10 is again attached to a support structure 11, here by means of screws 14. The retaining profile 10 has a longitudinal groove 13 to which the splash guard 2 is held.
[0031] For this purpose, a fastening part 15 is arranged at the lower end of the splash guard 2, for example by means of an adhesive connection 16. A hook-shaped projection 17 projects from the fastening part 15 in the direction of the bathtub 1. After the splash guard 2 has been installed, this hook-shaped projection 17 interacts with the longitudinal groove 13 on the support profile 10, so that the hook-shaped projection 17 engages in the longitudinal groove 13 and rests against it. The splash guard 2 is thus held in the longitudinal groove 13 in the direction of gravity. The hook-shaped projection 17, which is hooked into the longitudinal groove 13, prevents the splash guard 2 from being moved away from the bathtub 1 perpendicular to gravity.
[0032] In this embodiment, a sealing profile nose 18 protruding in the direction of the splash guard 2 is provided on the support profile 10. However, the sealing profile nose 18 is arranged at a distance from the splash guard 2, so that a seal 12 can be arranged in the gap between the sealing profile nose 18 and the splash guard 2.
[0033] The apron 3 is again arranged below the splash guard 2, for example on the support structure 11, so that the flush outer wall 7 is created.
[0034] A further design will be based on the Fig.4 explained. In this embodiment, the retaining profile 10 is attached to the bathtub 1, specifically to the bathtub edge 4, for example by means of screws 14, whereby the screw 14 passes through the bathtub edge 4 and is also screwed into the support structure 11. Otherwise, this embodiment corresponds to the embodiment according to Fig.3 .
[0035] Fig.5 shows a design with a holding profile 10 on the bathtub 1, similar to Fig.3 or Fig.4 . However, the longitudinal groove 13 is laterally next to the bathtub edge 4 and not below the bathtub edge 4. At the lower end of the splash guard 2, a fastening part 15 with a hook-shaped projection 17 is attached, for example by means of an adhesive connection 16. The hook-shaped projection 17 in this embodiment does not protrude from the fastening part 15 in the direction of the bathtub 1. This means that the joint between the splash guard 2 and the apron 3 can also be provided laterally next to the bathtub edge 4, without the outer wall 7 having to be spaced too far laterally from the bathtub edge 4. In the embodiment according to Fig.6 Due to the design of the retaining profile 10, the joint is arranged above the bathtub edge 4.
[0036] Fig.7 shows a design of the bathtub 1 with an apron 3 in the form of a base body 21, on which a visible covering 22 is applied. The visible covering 22 consists, for example, of tiles, which can be made of ceramic or another material. Tiles can be applied to the base body 21 in any size and in any pattern, even in the form of a single tile. Otherwise, the Fig.7 according to the execution Fig.3 . The outer wall 7 consisting of splash guard 2 and apron 3, in the form of an apron base body 21 with visible covering 22, again forms an essentially continuous surface, except for a possible joint between splash guard 2 and apron 3.
[0037] Fig.8 shows an exemplary assembly process of a flush exterior wall 7 using the example of the design according to Fig.3 .
[0038] The image top left shows that the holding profile 10 is first attached to the support structure 11, here screwed to it with screws 14. The splash guard 2 was prepared by attaching the fastening part 15 to its lower end, here using an adhesive connection 16. In the image to the right, the splash guard 2 was moved towards the bathtub edge 4 until it rests against it laterally. The image to the right shows that the splash guard 2 is lowered in this position until the hook-shaped projection 17 engages in the longitudinal groove 13 and comes to rest on it. The image bottom left shows that in this fully lowered position of the splash guard 2, the seal 12 can be attached, as shown in the image to the right. Finally, the apron 3 can be attached, for example to the support structure 11, as shown in the image bottom right.
[0039] The apron 3 can generally, in all embodiments, be magnetically attached to the support structure 11, or also by another suitable attachment method, for example by means of an adhesive connection. For this purpose, a holding magnet 19 is provided on the support structure 11, preferably laterally adjustable (indicated by a double arrow), for example by means of a thread. A magnetic component 20, for example a steel plate, is arranged on the apron 3, which, when in use, cooperates with the holding magnet 19 to magnetically hold the apron 3 to the bathtub 1. In this way, the apron 3 can be easily adjusted laterally to create the flush outer wall 7. The magnetic attachment of the apron 3 to the support structure 11 is also possible in Fig.3 shown.
[0040] The apron 3 can generally also be constructed in multiple parts. In this case, an apron base body 21 would be provided, which is arranged on the support structure 11. A visible covering 22, for example a glass plate, could then be arranged on this apron base body 21, again before or after the apron base body 21 is mounted on the support structure 11. A suitable fastening method can also be selected for this.
[0041] Fig.9 shows a further possible embodiment of the bathtub 1 according to the invention with a splash guard 2. In this embodiment, the splash guard 2 and the apron 3, or the visible covering of the apron 3, are designed as one part. Therefore, there is no interruption in the flush outer wall 7 due to the joint between the separate splash guard 2 and the apron 3. This embodiment is achieved by means of a fastening as in Fig.4 explained described.
[0042] A one-piece outer wall 7 can of course also be designed according to Fig.3 be provided. Also in Fig.2 , 5 oder 6 This would be possible if the holding profile 10 is designed without a longitudinal groove 13 and the splash guard 2 is glued to the holding profile 10.
[0043] In the execution according to Fig.9 the fastening part 15 is not arranged at the lower end of the splash guard 2, but at the corresponding height of the one-piece outer wall 7 with splash guard 2 and apron 3.
[0044] For stabilization, the part below the bathtub edge 4 can also be used in the one-piece design of the outer wall 7 according to Fig.9 be arranged on a support structure 11, for example magnetically.
[0045] The flush-mounted outer wall 7 arranged laterally on the bathtub edge 4 allows the bathtub 1 to be easily cleaned despite the splash guard 2. This is because dirt can practically only accumulate on the bathtub edge 4, but this edge adjoins the inner side 7a of the outer wall 7 facing the bathtub 1 and is not divided by the splash guard 2, which considerably simplifies cleaning. On the outer side 7b of the outer wall 7 facing away from the bathtub 1, there is a continuous flush-mounted side surface that is also easy to clean and visually appealing.
[0046] The bathtub 1 with a flush outer wall 7 on at least one side can advantageously be combined with an entry 30 on a bathtub side wall 31, as in Fig.10 illustrated using an embodiment.
[0047] The entry 30 is preferably provided on a bathtub side wall 31 on which no splash guard 2 is arranged. However, if the splash guard 2 does not extend over the entire length of a bathtub side wall 31, the entry 30 and the splash guard 2 can also be provided on the same bathtub side wall 31.
[0048] In the execution according to Fig.10 The flush-fitting (if necessary also single-piece) outer wall 7, consisting of the splash guard 2 and the apron 3 (if necessary also multi-piece), is arranged on the free long side of the bathtub 1 over the entire side length. A recess is provided on the free short bathtub side wall 31, which forms the entry 30. Due to the entry 30, it is not necessary to step over the bathtub edge 4 to enter the bathtub 1.
[0049] For showering, the entry 30 would not need to be closed. However, to use the bathtub 1 as a bathtub, i.e., to fill the bathtub with water, the entry 30 can be sealed watertight using an entry closure 32. Various designs of an entry closure 32 are conceivable for this purpose.
[0050] Fig.11 and Fig.12 show an entry closure 32 in the form of a pivoting door 29, which is hinged on the inside of the short bathtub side wall 31 and which opens inwards into the bathtub 1. On the side of the bathtub 1 to which the pivoting door 29 is hinged, in this embodiment a recess 33 is provided on the inner surface of the bathtub 1, into which recess the pivoting door 29 pivots in the open position in order to create a flush bathtub inner surface 34 in the open position. The hinges required for pivoting the pivoting door 29 are not shown for reasons of clarity of illustration. However, this is not absolutely necessary. The pivoting door 29 can be made of the same material as the bathtub 1, but can also be made of glass or another material.
[0051] In the design according to Fig.13 The entry closure 32 is designed in the form of a bulkhead 44. The bulkhead 44 can be arranged in front of the entry 30, preferably on the inside of the bathtub 1, so that the bulkhead 44 is pressed against the bathtub 1 by the water pressure to close the entry. When not in use, the bulkhead 44 can simply be stored in a suitable location.
[0052] The design of the entry according to the Figuren 10 bis 13 have the disadvantage that there is no floor-level entry 30, but a small step remains at the entry 30.
[0053] With the Figuren 14 bis 17 a particularly advantageous floor-flush entry 30 with a bulkhead 44 as entry closure 32 is described.
[0054] A flush-floor entry 30 means that the floor surface 35 of the bathtub 1 in the area of the entry 30 is flush with the floor 8 on which the bathtub 1 is arranged. To realize such a flush-floor entry 30, the sealing surfaces 39 on the bathtub 1 in the area of the bulkhead 44 must be provided on the two bathtub inner surfaces 34 that laterally border the entry 30 and the floor surface 35. The bulkhead seal 40 on the bulkhead 44 must be arranged on the outer peripheral surfaces 41 of the bulkhead 44 facing the two bathtub inner surfaces 34 and the floor surface 35 of the bathtub 1. A bulkhead seal 40 is arranged on the outer circumferential surfaces 41, preferably a bulkhead seal 40 that runs continuously along the circumferential surface 41. When the entry 30 is closed with the bulkhead 44 as an entry closure 32, the bulkhead seal 40 comes into contact with the sealing surfaces 39 of the bathtub 1.
[0055] The design of the bulkhead 44 with the bulkhead seal 40 on the outer peripheral surface 41 and corresponding sealing surfaces 39 on the inside of the bathtub 1 can of course also be provided if the entry 30 is not flush with the floor.
[0056] The bathtub's inner surfaces 34 are preferably designed to taper slightly toward the bottom surface 35, preferably with a cone angle of 2° to 10°. Likewise, the bulkhead 44 is designed to taper slightly conically toward the opposite side, with slightly conical lateral peripheral surfaces 41. The cone facilitates the sealing of the bathtub 1 with the access closure 32. In particular, it allows the bulkhead seal 40 to be better pressed against the sealing surfaces on the bathtub 1.
[0057] The bulkhead 44 ( Fig.15 ) preferably has a locking part 42 with which the bulkhead can be locked in use in the entry 30 of the bathtub 1 in order to fix the bulkhead 44 in the entry 30. It can also be provided that the locking part simultaneously causes a pre-tension of the bulkhead seal 40 against the sealing surfaces on the bathtub 1, for example by the bulkhead 4 being pressed downwards by the locking part 42 when locked, whereby the bulkhead seal 40 is pre-tensioned against the sealing surfaces 39.
[0058] A locking actuator 43 is also provided on the bulkhead 44, with which the locking part 42 can be actuated, i.e., activated or deactivated, as needed. In the embodiment shown, the locking actuator 43 is designed as a pivotable lever 45, which actuates the locking part 42 via a suitable mechanism. The lever 45 can assume two positions: a first in which the locking part 42 is deactivated and a second in which the locking part 42 is activated.
[0059] A locking counterpart 46 is provided on the bathtub 1, with which the locking part 42 of the bulkhead 44 cooperates in use and during locking in order to fix the bulkhead 44 in the entry 30.
[0060] Fig.16 shows the bulkhead 44 in use on the bathtub 1. The bulkhead 44 has already been arranged in the entry, but not yet locked. In Fig.17 the locking part 42 is shown extended, for example with the lever 45 folded over in this embodiment. This extended locking part 42 would engage in the locking counterpart 46 to lock the bulkhead 44 in the entry 30 and preferably simultaneously press the bulkhead 44 downwards.
[0061] It is self-evident that the locking part 42, the locking actuation 43 or also the locking counterpart 46 could also be designed differently than shown in the exemplary embodiment.
[0062] It is also already known to functionally couple the locking of an access closure 32 at an entry 30 of a bathtub 1 to the actuation of a drain 36 of the bathtub 1. Each bathtub 1 has a drain 36 that can be opened or closed by means of a drain actuation 37. It is obvious that opening of the access closure 32 (bulkhead 44 or pivoting door) when the drain 36 is closed, which indicates a filled bathtub 1, should be avoided. Therefore, it can be provided that the activated locking part 42 of the access closure 32 is blocked by the drain actuation 37 when the drain 36 is in the closed position. Thus, the access closure 32 cannot be opened by deactivating the locking part 42 when the drain 36 is in the closed position. This can be implemented by suitable mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic mechanisms.Due to the blockage, for example, mechanical, the locking part 42 cannot be deactivated, and the access closure 32 cannot be opened. Likewise, it is possible to prevent the drain 36 from being closed by the drain actuator 37 if the locking part 42 is deactivated when the access closure 32 is used. This ensures that the drain can only be closed if the access closure 32 has previously been arranged in the access 30 and locked via the locking actuator 43 and the locking part 42. This can also be achieved using suitable mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic mechanisms.
[0063] In Fig.14It can also be seen that, for safety reasons, guide parts 38 can be provided on the inside of the bathtub 1, for example, protruding inwards from the bathtub inner surface 34, preferably in the lower region of the bathtub 1, in order to guide and hold the bulkhead 44 as an entry closure 32 when in use. Advantageously, at least one guide part 38 is provided on at least one of the bathtub inner surfaces 34. This can prevent incorrect insertion of the bulkhead 44 in the entry 30. In addition, the guide parts 38 for the bulkhead 44 also serve as a counterbearing against the acting water pressure when the bathtub 1 is filled.
