Description

[0001] The present invention relates to a passenger transport vehicle.

[0002] The invention lies in the field of improving passenger transport vehicles, particularly railway vehicles, by adding new functionalities.

[0003] In passenger vehicles, there are spaces provided for displaying information, whether it is information relating to the transport network, for example, such as a route map, or advertising information.

[0004] For example, printed adhesive panels can be used to display such information. Such a method does not allow for easy and dynamic modification of the displayed information, as a change of the adhesive panel is necessary to modify the displayed information.

[0005] More recently, display screen systems, for example LCD display screens, have been proposed, in which at least one screen is positioned in the passenger compartment. However, such a system necessarily adds additional space to a passenger compartment, which is generally undesirable. In addition, maintaining or upgrading such systems to more efficient versions is complex and expensive. Moreover, if in addition to the information function, a passenger entertainment function is also desired, for example the projection of videos, the surface area of the LCD screens must be sufficient, and their number must also be sufficient. This is both expensive and cumbersome.

[0006] Video projection systems are presented in WO 2013 / 174632 A1 showing the preamble of claim 1, DE 298 12 007 U1, WO 2008 / 095909 A1 and WO 2011 / 090312 A2.

[0007] The invention aims to remedy the drawbacks of the state of the art.

[0008] For this purpose, the invention provides a passenger transport vehicle with the features of claim 1.

[0009] The passenger transport vehicle according to the invention may also have one or more of the characteristics below, taken independently or in any technically conceivable combination.

[0010] The curved portion comprises a transparent opening, the video projector being fixed opposite said transparent opening so as to project a projection beam through said transparent opening towards the projection surface formed by the micro-perforated film.

[0011] The transparent opening is an opening passing through the said curved portion of the interior ceiling, covered with a transparent material.

[0012] The vehicle also has a device for ventilating the space between the roof and the interior ceiling.

[0013] The video projector is an interactive video projector, adapted to detect and interpret a command made by a user on an area of the projection surface.

[0014] The compartment comprises opposite side walls, each of said side walls comprising a plurality of windows, each window being partially covered with a micro-perforated film forming a projection surface, the vehicle comprising at least one video projector per window.

[0015] The vehicle is a railway vehicle.

[0016] The invention finds particular application in the field of railway vehicles, for example trains, metros, trams.

[0017] Other characteristics and advantages of the invention will emerge from the description given below, for information purposes only and in no way limiting, with reference to the appended figures, among which: [ Fig 1 ] there figure 1 is a first schematic sectional view of a passenger transport vehicle according to one embodiment; [ Fig 2 ] there figure 2 is a second schematic sectional view of a passenger transport vehicle according to one embodiment.

[0018] The invention will be described below in its application to a passenger transport vehicle which is a railway vehicle.

[0019] The invention nevertheless applies to other types of passenger transport vehicles, for example buses, cars, boats.

[0020] There figure 1 is a first schematic view of a portion of a passenger transport compartment 4 of a passenger transport vehicle 2, in a longitudinal section, along a plane (X, Z) in an orthogonal three-dimensional reference frame (X, Y, Z).

[0021] Compartment 4 comprises seats 6, which in the illustrated example are seats fixed to boxes 8. The seats 6 are for example arranged by two seats side by side, grouped into islands of groups of two seats positioned opposite each other.

[0022] Of course, this is an example; any other seating arrangement is possible.

[0023] The compartment 4 comprises walls, of which a side wall 10 is illustrated. The side wall comprises bays in which transparent panes 12 are inserted. For example, the compartment 4 comprises two side walls positioned opposite each other, extending in the longitudinal direction X, each side wall comprising glazed bays, positioned symmetrically.

[0024] The windows 12 are made of transparent material, for example glass or plexiglass.

[0025] In the example illustrated, the seats 6 are positioned so that the transparent windows 12 are placed to the side relative to the passenger seat.

[0026] Compartment 4 further comprises an outer roof 14, and an inner ceiling 16, a space 18 being provided between the roof 14 and the inner ceiling 16.

[0027] At least some of the windows 12 are at least partially covered, on their inner face, located inside the compartment 4, with a micro-perforated film 20, for example an adhesive micro-perforated film which is fixed to the inner face of the window by gluing.

[0028] For example, the micro-perforated film 20 is a film comprising circular micro-perforations with a diameter of between 1 and 5 mm.

[0029] Advantageously, light passes through the perforations, in particular external light enters compartment 4.

[0030] The micro-perforated film 20 partially or completely covers the interior surface 22 of the window 12.

[0031] In the example illustrated, the micro-perforated film 20 partially covers a rectangular surface of dimensions chosen relative to the surface 22 of the window 12. For example, the length L of the rectangular surface is substantially equal to the width b' of the surface of the window 22, and the width l of the rectangular surface is equal to approximately 20% of the height H of the surface 22 of the window 12.

[0032] The micro-perforated film 20 forms a projection surface, visible from inside the compartment 4, onto which images are projected, which are still images or videos, from a video projector 26 visible on the figure 2 .

[0033] There figure 2 is a schematic sectional view of a compartment 4 of a passenger transport vehicle 2, along a transverse sectional plane or plane (Y, Z) in the orthogonal reference frame (X, Y, Z), which is orthogonal to the sectional plane (X, Z) of the figure 1 .

[0034] The video projector 26 is positioned so as to illuminate the projection surface formed by the film 20 with a projection beam 28.

[0035] Preferably, the video projector is positioned on a curved portion 30 of the interior ceiling 16, also called voussoir 30.

[0036] In the illustrated embodiment, the interior ceiling 16 comprises two curved portions, symmetrical with respect to a longitudinal central axis, each curved portion extending towards a corresponding side wall 10.

[0037] An opening 32 is made in the voussoir 30, in order to allow the projection beam 28 to pass through. The opening 32 is a hole of a shape adapted relative to the video projector. In one embodiment, the opening 32 is covered with a transparent material, for example glass or plexiglass.

[0038] The micro-perforated film and the video projector form a video projection system.

[0039] Preferably, the video projector 26 is an interactive type video projector, adapted to detect and interpret a command carried out by a user on an area of the projection surface. For example, the command is carried out by pointing, for example by means of a finger, towards an area of the projection surface in which a selectable graphic object is displayed, for example a control menu or simply an icon representative of a selectable object or functionality.

[0040] Thus, advantageously, functionality similar to that obtained by a touch screen can be obtained, without however requiring the installation of a touch screen.

[0041] Advantageously, a user, for example a passenger, can interact with the displayed content. This makes it possible, for example, to offer an interactive line map for a public transport network, as well as the dynamic display, on command, of information relating to the state of traffic, for example the expected arrival time at a selected station.

[0042] In one embodiment, the compartment 4 further comprises a device for ventilating the space 18 provided between the roof and the interior ceiling, which is for example a fan or an air conditioning system generating a flow of air circulating in the space 18.

[0043] In one embodiment, a video projector of the type described above is provided for each window of a passenger transport compartment.

[0044] Alternatively, a greater number of projectors than the number of windows is provided, for example when each side wall is equipped with a large bay window. For example, the number of projectors is chosen based on the number of islands formed by groups of seats.

[0045] Advantageously, the positioning of the video projector in space 18, on a voussoir 30, makes it possible to project images / videos without adding bulk to the passenger transport compartment.

[0046] Furthermore, advantageously, the projection beam from the video projector is not crossed by passengers moving around in the compartment, which ensures that content is projected in all circumstances.

[0047] Advantageously, in a passenger transport vehicle as described above, the video projection system providing the functionality of displaying images and / or videos, allowing both informational display or entertainment display, is achieved without adding additional bulk in the passenger transport compartment.

[0048] Advantageously, maintenance is easier, as is the installation of updated versions of the video projector, compared to a system with cabling and LCD screens.
