Description

[0001] The present invention relates to comfort equipment for a public transport vehicle, comprising a cantilevered table.

[0002] Such a cantilevered table is shaped so that a free space, defined under this table, is free of table legs, in particular to allow a person with reduced mobility to sit at this table comfortably, in particular without a table leg getting in the way of a wheelchair or the person's legs.

[0003] Such cantilevered tables are already known in the state of the art. However, such tables are generally not satisfactory, in that they include, in order to provide good mechanical strength, an arched lateral leg which reduces the volume of free space under the table. Documents DE102019209658, EP3456603 and US2016039524 disclose tables and tables for vehicles.

[0004] The invention aims in particular to improve the situation by proposing comfort equipment comprising a cantilevered table, the volume of the free space defined under the table of which is optimized.

[0005] To this end, the invention relates in particular to comfort equipment according to claim 1.

[0006] The first upright, initially intended to carry the support bar, is fixed to the fixing plate above the support crosspiece, so that the mechanical strength of the table is improved. This mechanical strength is then satisfactory for normal use of the comfort equipment, and this without requiring an arched side leg.

[0007] It is thus possible to use a side leg which is less bulky than in the state of the art, or even not to use a leg at all, and thus free up more free space under the table.

[0008] Comfort equipment according to the invention may also have one or more of the following characteristics, taken alone or in any technically conceivable combination. The comfort equipment comprises an intermediate fixing plate, intended to be fixed to the structural element of the passenger room, each first upper fixing member intended to be fixed to the intermediate plate, so that the first upright is fixed indirectly to the structural element, via the intermediate fixing plate. The comfort equipment comprises at least one second fixing member for fixing the intermediate fixing plate to the structural element of the passenger room, at least one of this at least one second fixing member being a second upper fixing member arranged above the grip bar in the vertical direction. The comfort equipment comprises at least five second fastening members, in particular two second lower fastening members arranged near the support crossbar, two second intermediate fastening members arranged in the vertical direction between the support crossbar and the first upper fastening member, and the second upper fastening member. The first upright comprises at least one first lower fastening member arranged under the support crossbar in the vertical direction Z, preferably two first lower fastening members, advantageously arranged at substantially the same height in the vertical direction, for direct or indirect fastening to the structural element. The comfort equipment comprises two first upper fastening members, advantageously arranged at substantially the same height in the vertical direction. Each first upper fixing member is arranged, in the vertical direction, closer to the gripping bar than to the support crossbar. The comfort equipment is devoid, when fixed to the structural element, of any element in a vertically defined free space between the support crossbar and a floor of the passenger hall, the free space extending, in the transverse direction, over at least 85% of the dimension of the support frame in this transverse direction. The comfort equipment comprises a support foot, intended to be fixed to the structural element of the hall, and carrying the support frame at its connecting end, at a height lower than that of this support frame in the vertical direction. The support frame carries at least one table board, preferably two table boards, each table board preferably being connected to the support crosspiece in a fixed manner or by a pivot connection, and each table board preferably being formed by two panels hinged together so as to be movable between a position folded over each other and a position deployed one in line with the other.

[0009] The invention also relates to a public transport vehicle, in particular a railway vehicle, comprising at least one passenger room comprising at least one structural element, characterized in that it comprises at least one comfort element as defined above fixed to the structural element.

[0010] Various aspects and advantages of the invention will be described in more detail in the following description, given solely as an illustrative and non-limiting example, and made with reference to the appended figures, among which: [ Fig 1 ] There figure 1 is a perspective view of comfort equipment according to an exemplary embodiment of the invention, equipping a public transport vehicle, [ Fig 2 ] There figure 2 is a front view of the comfort equipment of the figure 1 , [ Fig 3 ] There figure 3 is a perspective view of the comfort element of the figure 1 , shown in more detail, [ Fig 4 ] There figure 4 is a perspective view of the comfort element of the figure 1 , shown from another angle.

[0011] The figures show comfort equipment 10 intended to equip a passenger room of a public transport vehicle, for example a railway vehicle.

[0012] In this description, a vertical direction Z will be defined. The terms “above”, “below”, “upper”, and “lower” have their usual meaning in this vertical direction Z.

[0013] The passenger room comprises at least one structural element 12, in particular a side structural wall 12. By “structural element” is meant an element participating in the structure of the vehicle, that is to say having sufficient mechanical strength to carry various other elements without deforming.

[0014] The comfort element 10 is intended to be carried by the side structural wall 12.

[0015] The comfort element 10 comprises a table support frame 14, extending in particular parallel to a transverse direction Y perpendicular to the vertical direction Z, between a connecting end 14a intended to be connected to the lateral structural wall 12, and a free end 14b.

[0016] The support frame 14 comprises a support cross member 15 extending parallel to the transverse direction Y, a first upright 22 connected to the support cross member 15 at the connecting end 14a, and preferably a second upright 24 connected to the support cross member 15 at the free end 14b. The first 22 and second 24 uprights extend in particular parallel to the vertical direction Z.

[0017] Thus, the support crosspiece 15 extends between the first 22 and second 24 uprights, near lower ends of these first 22 and second 24 uprights.

[0018] The support frame 14 further comprises a gripping bar 26 extending parallel to the transverse direction Y between the first 22 and second 24 uprights, above the support crosspiece 15. The gripping bar 26 is preferably connected to upper ends of the first 22 and second 24 uprights.

[0019] The connecting end 14a of the support frame 14 is fixed to the side structural wall 12, either directly or via an intermediate fixing plate 16 and a support leg 18. The support leg 18 extends, parallel to the vertical direction Z, above a floor of the passenger hall.

[0020] The first upright 22 is arranged above the support foot 18, in the continuity of this support foot 18 in the vertical direction Z.

[0021] The intermediate fixing plate 16 has, in the example described, a generally flat shape, extending in a plane perpendicular to the transverse direction Y.

[0022] Alternatively, the intermediate fixing plate 16 could have at least one non-planar part, or could have several planar parts, parallel or not, separated by shoulders.

[0023] The intermediate fixing plate 16 is made of a material sufficiently rigid and robust to hold the support frame 14, for example steel.

[0024] The support foot 18 comprises a structural part 18a, visible on the figure 1 , pressed against the structural wall 12, and fixed, in its lower part, to a fixing rail 20 itself fixed to the structural wall 12. The fixing of such a support foot 18 by means of a fixing rail is known per se.

[0025] The support leg 18 also includes a trim portion 18b covering the structural portion 18a to conceal it. The trim portion 18b may, in an alternative embodiment, include a waste bin.

[0026] As is notably represented on the figure 3 , the support foot 18, more particularly its structural part 18a, is fixed to the first upright 22, below the support crosspiece 15, for example by screwing.

[0027] The first upright 22 is fixed to the intermediate plate 16 by means of at least one first fixing member 28a, 28b. More particularly, in the example described, the first upright 22 is fixed to the intermediate plate 16 by means of at least one first upper fixing member 28a and at least one first lower fixing member 28b.

[0028] Each first fixing member 28a, 28b is for example a screw comprising a threaded rod intended to be received in a tapped bore.

[0029] Each first upper fixing member 28a is arranged, in the vertical direction Z, between the support crosspiece 15 and the gripping bar 26. In the example described, the support frame 14 comprises two first upper fixing members 28a, arranged substantially at the same height in the vertical direction Z, preferably close to the upper end of the first support 22.

[0030] Each first upper fixing member 28a is advantageously, in the vertical direction Z, closer to the gripping bar 26 than to the support crosspiece 15.

[0031] The first upper fixing member(s) 28a make it possible, by fixing the first support 22 in its upper part, to effectively maintain the support frame 14. The lower fixing member(s) 28b make it possible to reinforce the effectiveness of this maintenance of the support frame 14.

[0032] It will be noted that the comfort equipment 10 could alternatively comprise more first upper 28a and lower 28b fixing members.

[0033] Furthermore, each first lower fixing member 28b is arranged, in the vertical direction Z, below the support crosspiece 15. In the example described, the support frame 14 comprises two first lower fixing members 28b, arranged substantially at the same height in the vertical direction Z, preferably close to the lower end of the first support 22.

[0034] The intermediate fixing plate 16 is furthermore fixed to the structural side wall 12, by means of at least one second fixing member 30a, 30b, 30c.

[0035] Each second fixing member 30a, 30b, 30c is for example a screw comprising a threaded rod intended to be received in a tapped bore.

[0036] More particularly, in the example described, the comfort equipment 10 comprises at least one second upper fixing member 30a, arranged, in the vertical direction Z, above each first upper fixing member 28a. Preferably, each second upper fixing member 30a is arranged, in the vertical direction Z, at a height greater than that of the gripping bar 26.

[0037] The comfort equipment 10 further comprises at least one second intermediate fixing member 30b, arranged, in the vertical direction 2, between the support crosspiece 25 and each first upper fixing member 28a. For example, the comfort equipment 10 comprises two intermediate fixing members 30b, arranged substantially at the same height in the vertical direction Z, or at close heights. Preferably, each second intermediate fixing member 30b is arranged, in the vertical direction Z, at a height close to that of the support crosspiece 15.

[0038] The comfort equipment 10 also comprises at least one second lower fixing member 30c, arranged, in the vertical direction 2, below the support crosspiece 15. For example, the comfort equipment 10 comprises two lower fixing members 30c arranged substantially at the same height in the vertical direction Z, or at close heights.

[0039] The invention makes it possible, by using the first support 22 initially intended to carry the gripping bar 26, to fix the comfort equipment 10 at a height thanks to the first 28a and second 30a upper fixing members. These additional fixing points make it possible to ensure the mechanical hold of the comfort equipment 10, without requiring an additional support foot. Furthermore, thanks to the invention, the support foot 18 does not need to have an arcuate shape extending under the support crosspiece 25.

[0040] As a result, the comfort equipment 10 is devoid of any element in a free space 32 defined vertically between the support crosspiece 25 and the floor of the passenger room. This free space 32 extends, in the transverse direction, over at least 85% of the dimension of the support frame 14 in this transverse direction Y, that is to say of the distance, in the transverse direction Y, between the connecting end 14a and the free end 14b. In other words, the comfort equipment 10 extends cantilevered from the structural wall 12, above the floor. In the case where the comfort equipment 10 is devoid of a support leg 18, the free space 32 extends over 100% of the dimension of the support frame 14 in the transverse direction Y.

[0041] It should be noted that the support frame 14 conventionally carries at least one table board 34, preferably two table boards 34.

[0042] Each table board is preferably connected to the support crosspiece 15 by a pivot connection, and each table board is preferably formed by two panels hinged together so as to be movable between a folded position on top of each other and a deployed position one in line with the other. Alternatively, the table board is formed by one or more fixed horizontal boards. Such a table board formed by folding panels or by one or more fixed horizontal boards are known per se.

[0043] Thus, the comfort element 10 forms a table when the table boards 34 are deployed, or fixedly mounted.

[0044] It will be noted that the invention is not limited to the embodiment previously described, but could have various complementary variants.
