AI Technical Summary
Existing methods for producing aerosol generating substrate rods in heated cigarettes face issues such as low production efficiency, high defect rates, and poor aerosol release due to excessive adhesive use, leading to low porosity and uneven bonding of tobacco particles.
Aerosol generating substrate rods are prepared using a spray gluing method that applies adhesive only to the tops of tobacco particles, ensuring partial gluing without adhesive on sides or bottoms, combined with intermittent spraying and dropping to form short rod sections at ends and scattered sections in the middle, enhancing porosity and axial ventilation.
This method ensures high porosity and smoke release, reduces adhesive residue, and maintains structural integrity, improving the aerosol generating product's performance and simplifying its structure.
Description
TECHNICAL FIELD
[0001] The present invention relates to the technical field of heat-not-burning cigarettes, in particular to an aerosol generating product with a sectional aerosol generating substrate rod.BACKGROUND
[0002] With the increasing attention of consumers to health issues and the increasing demand for personalized experience of cigarette products, the tobacco industry continues to respond to consumer demand upgrades and develop various smoking products with reduced coke and harm. Heated cigarettes, due to their different cigarette heating modes from traditional cigarette products, can provide a healthier smoking experience while meeting the sensory demands of the consumers for the cigarette products.
[0003] A smoke producing material of particulate heated cigarettes is loose smoke producing particles. In the prior art, because the loose smoke producing particles cannot be fixed and must be loaded into an outer tube in a filling mode, and particles on two sides of a smoke producing particle section need to be fixed in a mode of sealing paper and a plugging part, production efficiency is low, and a defective rate is high.
[0004] Firstly, based on this, the present invention binds the loose smoke producing particles together through an adhesive to form a cylindrical aerosol generating substrate rod. Then, the aerosol generating substrate rod is wrapped with an outer tube, and is then used as a solid aerosol generating substrate rod separately. Then, the solid aerosol generating substrate rod is combined with other elements through a filling, rolling, or composite process to produce an aerosol generating product. Due to the fact that this kind of smoke producing section is already a whole cylindrical aerosol generating substrate rod, there will be no problem of falling and scattering of the smoke producing particles, so there is no need to arrange sealing films or plugging parts on both sides of the smoke producing section. In addition, it is not limited to combine the aerosol generating substrate rod with other elements to produce the aerosol generating product in the filling form.
[0005] At present, the method of preparing the cylindrical aerosol generating substrate rod by bonding the scattered smoke producing particles with the adhesive is to directly place the scattered tobacco particles in a mixer, add a large amount of adhesives to the mixer, stir and mix evenly, and then extrude and cool. The problems of the aerosol generating substrate rod prepared by this method are: 1, due to the addition of the large amount of adhesives in the stirring process, there is also a cooled adhesive in a gap between the adjacent tobacco particles in the aerosol generating substrate rod after cooling, which leads to low porosity and low axial permeability of the aerosol generating substrate rod; 2, if, in order to avoid the first problem, a small amount of adhesive is added directly in the stirring and mixing process, it will lead to uneven dispersion of the adhesive, and tobacco particles with no glue applied on the surfaces are adjacent, resulting in the inability to bond and the problem of scattering of the smoke producing particles; and 3, another more critical problem is that the addition of the large amount of adhesives may further lead to the application of a large amount of adhesives on the surface of each tobacco particle, seriously affecting the release of aerosol after the tobacco particles are heated. Essentially, the purpose of gluing is only to make scattered tobacco particles bond, but it is not desirable for places where the tobacco particles do not bond to be glued, which affects the aerosol release.
[0006] Therefore, how to ensure that there are the adhesives on the surfaces of the tobacco particles that are bonded to each other, while there is no adhesive on the surfaces of the tobacco particles that are not bonded, is the key to ensuring the porosity and the smoke amount of the aerosol generating substrate rod.
[0007] WO2020 / 089091A1 discloses an aerosol generating product in which the aerosol forming substrate is bonded together by a binder; in particular , this document shows and describes a product comprising the features mentioned in the preamble of the present claim 1. In WO2020 / 089091A1, there is still a problem with the presence of adhesives on the non-bonding surface of tobacco particles, which can affect the release of aerosols.
[0008] US1920708A discloses a tobacco stick with varying density, with a greater end density for easy cutting. The issue of binders remaining on the non-bonded surface of tobacco particles, which can affect the release of aerosols, is not addressed in US1920708A.
[0009] In order to solve the above problems, the present invention is proposed.SUMMARY

[0023] The present invention has a preparation method for the sectional aerosol generating substrate rod. A spray gluing method is used, and the adhesive is sprayed directly from a spray head at the tops of the tobacco particles to the tops of the tobacco particles evenly, which may ensure that the tobacco particles are only glued at the tops, and not glued on the bottom surfaces and the sides. On the basis of achieving bonding, release of aerosol after the tobacco particles are heated is ensured, and the amount of smoke, as well as an axial ventilation capacity and porosity of the aerosol generating substrate rod are ensured.
[0024] Furthermore, the spray gluing method of the present invention is intermittent spray gluing, so that the tobacco particles on the anti-seepage cigarette paper present interval arrangement of a glued region, an unglued region, and the glued region. Then, glued tobacco particles, unglued tobacco particles, and the glued tobacco particles are loaded into an outer tube in batches by using a dropping method, and after cooling, the sectional aerosol generating substrate rod with short rod sections formed by the bonding of the glued tobacco particles at two ends and a scattered particle section formed by the unglued tobacco particles in the middle is obtained. In this way, the short rod sections at the two ends may ensure that the unbound tobacco particles in the middle do not fall or scatter, while the unbound tobacco particles in the middle further ensures an axial ventilation capacity and porosity of the aerosol generating substrate rod.
[0025] A method for preparing a sectional aerosol generating substrate rod by using intermittent spraying includes the following steps: (1) taking anti-seepage cigarette paper, laying the anti-seepage cigarette paper flat on a conveyor belt, then taking tobacco particles, and laying the tobacco particles flat on the anti-seepage cigarette paper, so that the conveyor belt carries the anti-seepage cigarette paper and the tobacco particles at a fixed speed to run; (2) providing a spray head for spraying an adhesive on an upper portion of the conveyor belt, and intermittently spraying, by the spray head, the adhesive onto tops of the tobacco particles, so that the tobacco particles on the anti-seepage cigarette paper present interval arrangement of a glued region, an unglued region, and the glued region; and (3) providing a cigarette folding and rolling device at downstream in a running direction of the conveyor belt, as the conveyor belt runs, wrapping, by the cigarette folding and rolling device, the anti-seepage cigarette paper conveyed by the conveyor belt around the tobacco particles, rolling it to obtain a sectional aerosol generating substrate rod strip, and then cutting the sectional aerosol generating substrate rod strip according to the demand so as to obtain the sectional aerosol generating substrate rod for an aerosol generating product.
[0026] Preferably, a running speed of the conveyor belt in step (1) is in a range from 0.5 centimeter per second to 2.5 centimeters per second, and more preferably, the running speed of the conveyor belt in step (1) is 2 centimeters per second.
[0027] Preferably, a spraying procedure of the spray head in step (2) is to spray 0.5 second to 2 seconds every 1 second to 5 seconds, and more preferably, the spraying procedure of the spray head in step (2) is to spray 1 second every 5 seconds.
[0028] The anti-seepage / heat-conduction paper in the present invention has an anti-seepage / heat-conduction layer with an anti-seepage or heat conduction function, and the anti-seepage / heat-conduction layer includes a waterproof layer and / or an oil proof layer and / or a heat conduction layer; and the waterproof layer adopts a mixture of alkyl ketene dimer (AKD), cationic rosin size or iron-free aluminum sulfate and a paraffin material; and the oil proof layer adopts a mixture of carbon fluorine organic matter, modified starch, AKD and paraffin, and a mixture material of the AKD and the modified starch. The heat conduction layer is selected from, but is not limited to an aluminum foil layer, which is added to an inner wall of a cigarette paper tube in a pasting manner; and the aluminum foil layer may play a waterproof and / or oil proof role, and meanwhile, the aluminum foil layer further has heat conduction and heat preservation effects, so that a smoke producing material on inner walls of cigarettes is evenly heated.
[0029] Preferably, the inner wall of the cigarette paper tube is coated with the waterproof layer and / or the oil proof layer in a spraying manner.
[0030] In a storage process of the cigarettes, moisture inside the smoke producing material seeps into an outer side of the cigarette paper tube, causing yellow spots. Therefore, it is necessary to add the waterproof layer to the inner wall of the cigarette paper tube filled with the smoke producing material. The waterproof layer adopts the mixture of the alkyl ketene dimer (AKD), the cationic rosin size or the iron-free aluminum sulfate and the paraffin material, which can prevent the moisture inside the smoke producing material from seeping into the outer side of the cigarette paper tube.
[0031] Similarly, a smoke producing agent, essence and spices will be added to the smoke producing material. In a long-term placing process, the smoke producing agent in the smoke producing material will carry the essence and spices to seeping to the outer side of the paper tube, causing the yellow spots, which affects the appearance of the paper tube. Since the smoke producing agent is oily, it is necessary to add the oil proof layer on the inner wall of the cigarette paper tube filled with the smoke producing material. The oil proof layer adopts the mixture of the carbon fluorine organic matter, the modified starch, the AKD and the paraffin, and the mixture material of the AKD and the modified starch, which can prevent the smoke producing agent in the smoke producing material from carrying the essence and spices to seeping to the outer wall of the paper tube, and prevent generation of the yellow spots.
[0032] Compared to the prior art, the present invention has the following beneficial effects: 1. the aerosol generating product of the present invention includes and has the sectional aerosol generating substrate rod, the two ends of the sectional aerosol generating substrate rod are the short rod sections 11 formed by bonding of the glued tobacco particles, and the middle is the scattered particle section 12 formed by the non-glued tobacco particles. In this way, the short rod sections 11 at the two ends may ensure that the unbound tobacco particles in the middle do not fall or scatter, and there is no adhesive on the surfaces and the gaps of the unbound tobacco particles in the middle, which further ensures the axial ventilation capacity, the porosity, and a smoke release amount of the aerosol generating substrate rod. A smoke core with the high porosity can not only increase a smoke producing amount, but also simplify a structure of the aerosol generating product. 2. The preparation method of the smoke producing core material section 1 with the high porosity of the present invention is the intermittent spray type, and has the advantages that: 1), the present invention adopts the spray gluing method, the adhesive is sprayed directly from the spray head at the tops of the tobacco particles onto the top surfaces of the tobacco particles evenly, which may ensure that the tobacco particles are only glued at the tops, and are not glued on the bottom surfaces and the sides. The gluing area of the top surfaces of the tobacco particles accounts for 20-40% of the surface areas of the tobacco particles. After stirring evenly, part of the surface region of at least one of the two adjacent tobacco particles has the adhesive and can be bonded. Similarly, since the bottom surfaces and the sides of tobacco particles are not glued, which can well ensure the release of the aerosol from the tobacco particles after being heated, and ensure the smoke amount, as well as the axial ventilation capacity and the porosity of the aerosol generating substrate rod. 2), furthermore, the spray gluing method of the present invention is intermittent spray gluing, the tobacco particles of the present invention are directly laid flat on the conveyor belt, and there is only one layer of tobacco particles on the conveyor belt. The conveyor belt carries the tobacco particles at the fixed speed to run, the upper portion of the conveyor belt has the spray head for spraying the adhesive, and the spray head intermittently sprays the adhesive onto the top surfaces of the tobacco particles, so that the tobacco particles on the conveyor belt present interval arrangement of the glued region, the unglued region, and the glued region. Finally, the glued tobacco particles, the unglued tobacco particles, and the glued tobacco particles are loaded into the outer tube in batches by using a dropping method, and after cooling, the sectional aerosol generating substrate rod is obtained. The two ends of the sectional aerosol generating substrate rod are the short rod sections 11 formed by the bonding of the glued tobacco particles, while the middle is the scattered particle section 12 formed by the unglued tobacco particles. In this way, the short rod sections 11 at the two ends may ensure that the unbound tobacco particles in the middle do not fall or scatter, while the unbound tobacco particles in the middle further ensures the axial ventilation capacity and the porosity of the aerosol generating substrate rod.
[0033] In general, the present invention first adopts the spray gluing method to achieve partial gluing on the surfaces of tobacco particles, and ensure the release of the aerosol after the tobacco particles are heated. Furthermore, by combining intermittent spray gluing and dropping, the sectional aerosol generating substrate rod with the short rod sections 11 formed by the bonding of the glued tobacco particles at two ends and the scattered particle section 12 formed by the unglued tobacco particles in the middle may be prepared. In this way, the short rod sections 11 at the two ends may ensure that the unbound tobacco particles in the middle do not fall or scatter, while the unbound tobacco particles in the middle further ensures the axial ventilation capacity, porosity and the smoke amount of the aerosol generating substrate rod.BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
