Abstract
Description
[0001] The present invention relates to a removable pushing device for opening a door by pushing, capable of exerting a thrust on the vertical surface of the door and pushing it in. The present invention also relates to a method for exerting a thrust preferably of at least 50 kN on a door or any other vertical flat surface from external support points.
[0002] More particularly, the invention relates to a device for opening, as quickly as possible from a set of at least 3 parts ready to be assembled, by force, without shock and silently, any type of door for residential, industrial or other premises.
[0003] These devices are intended to be used primarily by emergency services such as firefighters or civil protection, or by special police or gendarmerie brigades or even special army units, and are intended in particular to open the doors of armoured houses.
[0004] Already known in FR 2 825 354 and FR 2 944 709 is a device for exerting a thrust on the vertical surface of a door to open said door by pushing it in. These devices are perfectly suited to opening doors that open by pushing or pulling, from the face of said door where the thrust or pull must be exerted on said door to open it. These devices operate by pushing on the door thanks to supports at three levels, namely on the ground, on the central part of the door panel, where the door is pushed in, and on the upper part or lintels of the door retaining and stop frame, where the direct thrust is exerted by a jack.
[0005] These earlier devices include: a lower support bar consisting of a preferably hydraulic cylinder, an intermediate sole and an upper support bar, said cylinder comprising a cylinder body one end of which is fixed in an articulated manner, preferably removably, to a lower sole supporting the ground, and a movable rod one end of which is fixed in an articulated manner, preferably removably, to said intermediate sole supporting the door, and said upper support bar being fixed in an articulated manner, more preferably removably, at one of its ends to said intermediate sole.
[0006] The articulation of the end of the movable rod of said jack on said intermediate sole plate allows it to be arranged at an inclination preferably of 20 to 35° relative to the vertical, so as to be able to exert a thrust preferably of at least 50 kN on said intermediate sole plate when said intermediate sole plate is applied in support on said door or vertical flat surface and said jack is in support on a lower external support point, preferably on the ground.
[0007] Likewise, the articulation of said upper support bar on said intermediate sole plate makes it possible to arrange said bar substantially vertically so as to be able to apply its free end directly in support on an upper external support point preferably constituted by the frame of said door or a ceiling, or a horizontal flat surface situated above said vertical flat surface. Here, the term "free end" means the end of said bar which is not fixed to said intermediate sole plate.
[0008] The device of FR 2 825 354 is perfectly suited for opening doors that open by pushing on the side where the pushing device is located on the door, i.e. so-called "push" doors that open towards the inside of the room from the outside of which it is sought to be opened. In practice, the device works on push doors thanks to its supports at three levels, namely: on the ground, on the door and, on the upper part or lintel of the retaining and stop frame of the door.
[0009] In fact, the upper end of the upper support bar abuts below and against the part of the lintel of the door frame projecting from the vertical plane of the door surface and against which the upper end of the door abuts. This part of the lintel located lower than the upper end of the door ensures that the door is held in its frame when the door is closed by pulling it.
[0010] FR 2 944 709 provides a device for pushing on a door with a vertical flat surface suitable for a pulling door, i.e. one which is intended to open from the outside, the retaining belt of the door frame being located on the inside. This device for opening by pushing a door, capable of exerting a push on the vertical surface of the door and pushing it in, when the device is positioned against the door on the side where it opens by pulling it, comprises an upper support device fixed in an articulated manner, preferably in a removable manner, to the upper end of said upper support bar, said upper support device comprising at least one wedging and blocking part capable of allowing the rotational articulation of said wedging and blocking part relative to the upper end of said upper support bar.Said wedging and blocking device thus fulfils the same technical effect as the part of the lintel projecting from the vertical plane of the door serving as a stop, in a door opening device without this blocking and wedging device at the upper end of the upper support bar, when the door opening device is located on the side where the door opens by pushing.
[0011] It is understood that the terms "upper" / "lower" and "above" / "below" refer to the two opposite directions in the longitudinal direction of the support bars, when the device is in position to exert a thrust on a vertical surface.
[0012] The jack is intended to rest on the ground, but could also rest on a lower external support point. Similarly, the intermediate sole is intended to rest on the door, but could rest on a middle external support point.
[0013] Here, "articulatedly" means that the two parts fixed to each other can pivot relative to each other at least around a horizontal axis when the longitudinal directions of said lower support bar and upper support bar are located in the same vertical plane.
[0014] Other thrust devices are known from GB 2 236 803 A, WO 2010 / 125263 A1 and FR 2 983 736 A1.
[0015] The devices described in these known documents are not optimally adapted for easy transport and implementation, in particular because the upper support bar and lower support bar are each made of a single piece and therefore of a relatively long length. In its current configuration, the device is bulky, complicated to carry, particularly during interventions on the upper floors of a building, leading to risks of impact on the walls as well as the handrails of the stairwells, and not easy to install on the door or remove after implementation. This bulkiness also affects its packaging and transport for carrying over long distances, because currently the device can only be separated into two very long elements comprising (a) the lower support bar with the jack and the lower sole and (b) the upper support bar with the intermediate sole and the upper support device.
[0016] The aim of the present invention is to provide a device that overcomes these drawbacks. To this end, the present invention provides a door opening device that can be dismantled into at least 3 parts manually and without any tools, which allows for easier carrying because it can be shared between several people if necessary, and without the risk of shock in stairwells when carrying it up and down the floors of a building, and finally it can be assembled in a few seconds on the door in question. It can also be packaged in a much smaller carrying case than the one currently used, which can be carried by a single person.
[0017] The present invention, defined in claim 1, provides a door opening push device which can be mounted from a ready-to-assemble assembly of at least 3 parts by reversible fixing devices which can be activated and deactivated manually, and which are capable of maintaining in rectilinear alignment lower and upper parts of the lower and upper support bars.
[0018] The present invention provides a pushing device for exerting a push on a door or any other vertical flat surface such as a partition, comprising a lower support bar, an intermediate support sole and an upper support bar, and preferably a lower support sole, each of said lower support bar and respectively upper support bar being capable of being actuated in telescopic extension in which the pushing device is capable of being assembled from a ready-to-assemble assembly of at least 3 parts comprising two reversible fixing devices which can be activated and deactivated manually, capable of carrying out the reversible fixing of the lower and upper parts of each of said lower support bar and respectively upper support bar and capable of maintaining said lower support bar and upper support bar in rectilinear alignment when they are actuated in said telescopic extension.,
[0019] The present invention provides a pushing device in which: said lower support bar comprises a lower part comprising a cylinder, preferably a hydraulic cylinder, said cylinder comprising a cylinder body, the lower end of which is preferably fixed in an articulated manner in rotation on said lower support sole, and a first cylinder rod, and an upper part of the lower support bar being fixed or capable of being fixed in an articulated manner in rotation on said intermediate sole, and said upper support bar comprises a lower part fixed or capable of being fixed in an articulated manner in rotation on and relative to said intermediate sole, and an upper part of the upper support bar preferably comprising an upper support device, said upper support bar being operable in extension in a telescopic manner to vary the distance between said lower part and upper part of the upper support bar, characterized in that: said first cylinder rod is fixed or capable of being fixed reversibly via a first reversible fixing device to said upper part of the lower support bar, the telescopic actuation of said first cylinder rod being capable of varying the distance between said cylinder body and said upper part of the lower support bar, said first reversible fixing device when activated being capable of maintaining said upper part of the lower support bar in rectilinear alignment with said first cylinder rod to which it is fixed during the telescopic actuation of said first cylinder rod, said upper support bar comprises or cooperates with a second rod extending at least partly inside said upper support bar, said second rod being manually or electrically actuable in said telescopic extension to vary said distance between said lower part and upper part of the upper support bar, said second rod being fixed or capable of being fixed reversibly via a second reversible fixing device to said upper part of the upper support bar, said second fixing device when activated being capable of maintaining said lower part and said upper part of the upper support bar, fixed to each other in rectilinear alignment with each other during telescopic actuation of said second rod.
[0020] By "varying the distance between said lower part and upper part of the upper support bar" is meant that it is a question of varying the ends of said lower part and upper part of the upper support bar fixed or capable of being fixed on said intermediate sole and respectively said upper support sole, and by "fixed in an articulated manner in rotation on said sole fixed in an articulated manner in rotation on and relative to said sole.." is meant that it is an articulation in rotation relative to said sole concerned.
[0021] We understand that: said second rod extends partly inside a tubular wall of the upper end of said lower part and partly outside said upper part of the upper support bar when it is in said telescopic extension; and the fixing of said upper part of the lower support bar in rectilinear alignment with said first movable rod of the jack allows a variation of the distance between said upper part of the lower support bar and said jack body of the jack during telescopic actuation of said first jack rod, and the fixing of said second rod in rectilinear alignment with said upper part of the upper support bar,via said second reversible attachment allows a variation of the distance between said intermediate sole to which the lower part of the upper support bar bar is fixed by rotational articulation and said upper part of the upper support bar bar, during telescopic actuation of said second rod, and when said first cylinder rod is detached from said upper part of the lower support bar by deactivation of said first reversible attachment device, and said second rod is detached from said upper part of the upper support bar bar by deactivation of said second reversible attachment device, said pushing device is capable of being stored in at least 3 independent parts, preferably of substantially the same length comprising, said upper part of the lower support bar and said lower part of the upper support bar remaining fixed to a said intermediate sole, able to fold against each other longitudinally, detached from said jack and respectively from said upper part of the upper support bar, preferably having substantially the same length.
