Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to an assembly aid for a sash of a window, a French window or the like which is to be rotatably mounted on a frame, wherein the window has a lower corner bearing and an upper scissor bearing, via which the sash is mounted on the frame in the assembled state so that it can rotate about a vertical axis and tilt about a horizontal axis, wherein during assembly of the window a hinge part fixed to the frame and a hinge part fixed to the sash of the corner bearing are inserted into one another, wherein the assembly aid has a guide body which can be detachably mounted on the hinge part.
[0002] Such a mounting aid is known, for example, from EP 1 041 231 A2. This mounting aid allows two hinges to be mounted simultaneously on heavy doors. For this purpose, a guide body, which is removably attached to a fixed hinge part, has a guide track for a movable hinge part. However, this mounting aid is only suitable for hinge parts that are firmly connected to the leaf and frame.
[0003] However, in windows or French doors, a corner bearing located at the bottom, as known, for example, from DE 27 13 011 A1, has a pivoting bearing pin that allows the sash to move into a tilted position. This creates two problems when installing the sash on the frame: first, the intended alignment of the sash to the frame, and second, the alignment of the partially movable hinge parts.
[0004] WO 2014 / 026942 A1 discloses a corner bearing for a window in which a corner bearing pin has a rotation lock. However, this leads to high manufacturing costs for the bearing. Furthermore, this rotation lock does not help with aligning the sash with the frame.
[0005] DE 20 2018 000 723 U1 discloses an assembly aid with a sleeve that is applied to the bearing pin and has dimensions that overlap a mounting lug and cover the mounting lug's through-holes. This protects the hinge part from contamination with construction dust. The sleeve is removed to assemble the leaf.
[0006] The invention is based on the problem of developing an assembly aid of the type mentioned at the outset in such a way that it enables simultaneous alignment of the sash with respect to the frame and the connection of the hinge parts.
[0007] This problem is solved according to the invention in that the guide body has a base body with a shape adapted to the frame and has a holding element for supporting a bearing pin of a corner bearing, for holding the bearing pin in position during assembly of the sash and in that the base body is designed for guiding the sash and temporarily fixing the bearing pin for use in a lower corner area between the sash and frame and has a guide track for guiding the sash.
[0008] This design allows the base body to align the sash relative to the frame thanks to its appropriate shape. The retaining element enables the connection of the hinge parts of the corner bearing. The mounting aid thus enables particularly easy installation of a sash that can be moved into a tilt position using the hinge parts. The base body preferably has a counter-profile on its side facing the frame that corresponds to the frame, allowing it to be easily and temporarily fixed to the frame. Due to its shape adapted to the frame, the mounting aid remains reliably in position when the sash is connected to the frame. The base body is preferably made of plastic.According to another advantageous development of the invention, the installation aid combines sash guidance with temporary fixation of the corner hinge bearing pin, because the base body is designed for use in a lower corner area between the sash and frame and has a guide track for guiding the sash. Preferably, the base body has a ramp at its free end that merges into the guide track. This facilitates the insertion of the sash into the frame.
[0009] According to another advantageous development of the invention, the weight of the sash can be easily absorbed by the assembly aid if the base body has a stop for supporting the sash at the intended height relative to the frame.
[0010] According to another advantageous development of the invention, the assembly aid can be manufactured particularly cost-effectively if the base body is designed in an angular manner and has the guide track on a vertical leg and the stop on a horizontal leg.
[0011] Components of a connecting rod fitting, such as protruding locking pins, corner deflectors, or the like, are often located in the area of the corner bearing on the sash. According to another advantageous development of the invention, interference with the position of the mounting aid caused by components of the connecting rod fitting can be easily avoided if the base body has a recess on its side facing the sash for accommodating the sash's hardware components. The recess can, for example, be groove-shaped, so that the guide track or stop of the base body comes into contact with the sash laterally next to the components of the connecting rod fitting.
[0012] According to another advantageous development of the invention, damage to the holding element can be largely avoided if the holding element is designed to be resilient.
[0013] According to another advantageous development of the invention, the bearing pin of the corner bearing is reliably guided if the holding element is U-shaped for laterally enclosing the bearing pin.
[0014] According to another advantageous development of the invention, the holding element can be manufactured particularly cost-effectively if the holding element is at least partially made of spring sheet metal.
[0015] According to another advantageous development of the invention, the retaining element can be easily replaced if it is connected to the base body via a bolt. The interchangeability of the retaining element allows the mounting aid to be adapted to different dimensions of the bearing bolt. Furthermore, the bolt allows for a slight rotational movement of the retaining element, thus allowing easy installation and removal of the mounting aid on the frame.
[0016] The assembly aid enables particularly easy assembly of the sash in a tilted position if the holding element is arranged on a web that is angled from the base body.
[0017] According to another advantageous development of the invention, further simplifying the installation of the sash to the frame is achieved by providing an auxiliary body for use in a second lower corner area between the sash and frame that is designed as a mirror image of the guide body. This design makes the auxiliary body similar to the base body, but with a mirror-image web for the retaining element. This allows the installation aid to be easily used with right- and left-hinged sashes.
[0018] The invention permits numerous embodiments. To further clarify its basic principle, one of them is shown in the drawing and is described below. This shows in Fig. 1a window during the installation of a sash on a frame with a mounting aid, Fig. 2a guide body of the mounting aid made of Figure 1in an enlarged perspective view, Fig.3 a further view of the guide body from Figure 2 , Fig.4 an auxiliary body of the assembly aid Figure 1 in an enlarged perspective view.
[0019] Figure 1 shows a window with a frame 1 and a sash 2 during installation on the frame 1. The window also has a lower corner bearing 3 and an upper scissor bearing 4 via which the sash 2, in the installed state, is mounted on the frame 1 so that it can rotate about a vertical axis 5 and tilt about a horizontal axis 6. The sash 2 is in a slightly tilted position and is aligned relative to the frame 1 during installation. In addition, a frame-fixed hinge part 7 and a sash-fixed hinge part 8 of the corner bearing 3 are inserted into one another during installation. For this purpose, an installation aid 9 with a guide body 10 and an auxiliary body 11 is detachably attached to the frame 1.
[0020] Figure 2 shows an enlarged view of the guide body 10 of the assembly aid 9 from Figure 1with the frame-side hinge part 7 of the corner bearing 3. The frame-side hinge part 7 of the corner bearing 3 has a bearing pin 12 for the vertical axis 5 and a tilt bearing 13 for the horizontal axis 6. The guide body 10 has an angular base body 14 with a guide track 15 for the sash 2 to slide along and a stop 16 for supporting the sash 2. The guide track 15 is arranged on one leg 17 and the stop on another leg 18 of the angular base body 14. At its free end, the leg 17 having the guide track 15 has a ramp 19. The base body 14 has a profiling 20 corresponding to the profile of the frame 1 on its side facing away from the sash 2. The guide body 10 is thus reliably held in position when the sash 2 is mounted on the frame 1. On its side facing the wing 2, the guide body 10 has a groove-like recess 21.Components of a window's espagnolette fitting (not shown) can penetrate this recess 21. Furthermore, the guide body 10 has a web 22 angled from the base body 14, to which a retaining element 23 is attached. The retaining element 23 holds the bearing pin 12 of the corner bearing 3 in position during assembly of the sash 2.
[0021] Figure 3 shows the guide body 10 from Figure 2 in a further perspective view. It can be seen that the retaining element 23 is U-shaped and made of spring steel and is attached to the web 22 via a bolt 24. The U-shaped design of the retaining element 23 allows for easy insertion and removal of the bearing bolt 12.
[0022] Figure 4 shows the auxiliary body 11 of the assembly aid 9 from Figure 1in an enlarged perspective view. The auxiliary body 11 is constructed in a mirror image of the guide body 10 and also has a web 25. This allows the mounting aid 9 to be converted from a left-hinged window to a right-hinged window by simply swapping the holding element 23 from the guide body 10 to the auxiliary body 11.
[0023] To install the window, the installation aid 9 is first placed on the frame 1, and the bearing pin 12 is held in position by the retaining element 23. The sash 2 is then inserted into the frame 1 and aligned by the guide track 15 of the guide body 10 and the corresponding design of the auxiliary body 11. This causes the hinge parts 7, 8 of the corner bearing 3 to mesh. Rotating the sash 2 around the vertical axis 5 allows the guide body 10 and the auxiliary body 11 to be freely accessible and removed from the frame 1.
