Description
[0001] The invention relates to a door with a flush door leaf and a frame, to which at least one sealing strip is attached for sealing a gap between the door leaf and the frame. The invention also relates to the use of a sealing strip for such a door.

[0003] Glazing systems are known from [4] to [6] in which a glass pane is held against a glazing frame, with a static seal in the form of a sealing strip provided between the glass pane and a glass-holding area of the glazing frame. In the glazing system known from [4], an outer area of the static sealing strip is white to match a white glazing frame, while an inner area of the sealing strip, visible from the other side through the glass pane, is black so that dirt accumulating there is less visible against the black background. In [5] it is disclosed to co-extrude the elastomer seal with a remaining area of the glazing frame made of plastomer so that the plastomer-formed members of the glazing frame can be welded together.In [6], in addition to the static seal with differently colored sections already mentioned above and also disclosed in [4], a dynamic seal with differently colored sections is also provided between a frame and a movable sash of the glazing designed as a window or door. While the plastic frame is white, the visible area of the dynamic seal is black to provide visual feedback as to whether the seal is present and intact.

[0005] As can be seen from [1], p. 79, the most commonly used types of doors are hinged doors (also called swing doors), which have a door leaf, here called a door leaf, mounted around a vertical axis on a door frame, usually by hinges. For this purpose, a light color, such as a white or light gray tone, is often desired for the surface of the door—and, in accordance with the desired uniform flush appearance, for both the door leaf and the frame.In keeping with the high-quality, uniform appearance, a correspondingly uniform light color is also desired across the entire visible surface of the frame, which also carries the door seal, usually in the form of a sealing strip.
[0007] In practice, even perfectly installed and adjusted doors of this type are often criticized for not being completely lightproof, especially when used as bedroom doors. Light from adjacent rooms can still shine through the gap despite the perfect fit of the sealing strips and the usual step in the frame where the sealing strip is mounted and against which the door leaf abuts.
[0008] Such translucency is not considered a defect in a door according to current standards, meaning that a customer surprised by this effect is not entitled to free rectification. Therefore, it is currently advisable to inform customers of this potential drawback when ordering such a door. Existing solutions to eliminate this effect include choosing a rebated door or a dark door seal; however, both of these result in the destruction or at least impairment of the desired high-quality appearance.

Claims
1. Door (10) designed as a flush-closing pivot door in the form of a room door for use as a bedroom door, with a flush door leaf (16) formed from a continuous, jointless, and light-tight panel, and a frame (14) to which at least one sealing strip (22) is attached for sealing a door gap (42) between the door leaf (16) and the frame, wherein the frame (14) has a light color on a surface that is visible at least when the door (10) is open, characterized in that a first section (24) of the sealing strip (22) extending along the sealing strip (22), which forms a visible surface (25) of the sealing strip (22) visible from the outside, is formed from a first material (28), and a second section (28) of the sealing strip (22) extending along the sealing strip (22) is formed from a second material (30), wherein the first material (26) has a higher light reflection factor and a lower light absorption factor than the second material (30).
