Abstract

The invention relates to an umbrella comprising a weight (1) filled with a filling material for weighting the umbrella, an umbrella shaft (2) attached to the weight (1), an umbrella canopy (3) supported by the umbrella shaft (2), and a pocket (4) provided for receiving at least the umbrella canopy (3), wherein the pocket (4) filled with the filling material forms the weight (1). According to the invention, the pocket (4) is tubular in shape.

Description

[0001] The invention relates to an umbrella according to the preamble of claim 1.

[0002] An umbrella of the type mentioned above is known from document US 5,427,346 A. Such an umbrella consists of a weight filled with a filling material (for example, sand) to weigh down the umbrella, an umbrella pole attached to the weight, a canopy supported by the umbrella pole, and a pocket provided to accommodate at least the canopy, the pocket filled with the filling material forming the weight.

[0003] The invention is based on the object of further improving an umbrella of the type mentioned above. In particular, the aim is to create an umbrella that is even more useful and practical.

Claims

1. An umbrella, comprising a weight (1) filled with a filling material to weigh down the umbrella, an umbrella pole (2) attached to the weight (1), an umbrella roof (3) supported by the umbrella pole (2) and a pouch (4), wherein the pouch (4) forms the weight (1) filled with filling material, wherein the pouch (4) has a tubular form, characterized in that when not filled with filling material, the pouch (4) is intended to accommodate at least the umbrella roof (3), that the pouch (4) filled with filling material is constructed to assume a U-shape in its function as weight (1), and that the pouch (4) in the U-shaped form has two free legs (4.3), wherein the umbrella pole (2) is arranged in the region between the two legs (4.3).

2. The umbrella according to claim 1, characterized in that the tubular pouch (4) is closed at one of its ends (4.1) and is designed to be closable at its other end (4.2).

3. The umbrella according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that optionally sand and / or stones are intended as filling material.

4. The umbrella according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that a connecting element (5) connected to the pouch (4) is provided on the umbrella pole (2).

7. The umbrella according to claims 4 to 6, characterized in that a first through-opening (5.1) is provided in the centre of the connecting element (5) for the umbrella pole (2), and one second through-opening (5.2) for the connector (7) is provided respectively on each side.
