Air treatment device (1) comprising: - a casing (2) of predetermined length, width and depth, having a plurality of sides defining a volume (20); - a hood module (3) comprising first suction means (31) to suck in cooking fumes; - a purifier module (4) comprising first filtering means (41) for filtering air from an environment surrounding the device (1) and second suction means (42) for drawing said air from the environment surrounding the device (1), said hood module (3) and said purifier module (4) being housed in said volume (20) of said casing (2); - a first inlet opening (5) provided in a first side (211) of said plurality of sides of said casing (2), said hood module (3) comprising a first suction inlet (310) of said cooking fumes in fluid communication with said first inlet opening (5); - second filtering means (6) arranged at said first inlet opening (5); - a second inlet opening (7) which is provided in a second side (212) of said casing (2) distinct from said first side (211); said purifier module (4) comprising a second suction inlet (410) of said air in fluid communication with said second inlet opening (7), said first filtering means (41) being arranged between said second inlet opening (7) and said second suction inlet (410); characterised in that said first side (211) and said second side (212) are opposed to each other.

2. Device (1) according to claim 1, wherein: - said hood module (3) comprises a first ejection outlet (320) in fluid communication with a first outlet opening (8) arranged in one of the sides of said plurality of sides of said casing (2) distinct from said first side (211), - said purifier module (4) comprises a second ejection outlet (420) in fluid communication with a second outlet opening (9) arranged in one of the sides of said plurality of sides of said casing (2) distinct from said first side (211).

3. Device (1) according to claim 2, wherein said first outlet opening (8) and said second outlet opening (9) are arranged on the same side (212) of said plurality of sides of said casing (2) distinct from said first side (211).

Device (1) according to claim 1, comprising a partition septum (10) arranged within said volume (20), said partition septum (10) being configured to subdivide said volume (20) into two hermetically separated portions (11, 12), a first portion (11) being dimensioned to house said hood module (3) and a second portion (12) being dimensioned to house said purifier module (4).

5. Device (1) according to claim 4, wherein said hood module (3), said purifier module (4) and said partition septum (10) are mechanically constrained to the casing (2) at least at said second side (212).

Device (1) according to claim 1, comprising: - an electronic unit (13) configured to control the operation of the hood module (3) and of the purifier module (4), said electronic unit (13) being housed in said volume (20); - a control panel (14) associated with said casing (2) externally to said volume (20), said control panel (14) being configured to control said electronic unit (13).

7. Device (1) according to claims 4 and 6, wherein said electronic unit (13) is housed in said first portion (11) of said volume (20).

8. Device (1) according to claim 6, wherein said control panel (14) and / or said electronic unit (13) are configured to alternatively activate the hood module (3) and the purifier module (4).

9. Device (1) according to claim 1, wherein said purifier module (4) comprises third filtering means (43) arranged between said second ejection outlet (420) and said second outlet opening (9).

10. Device (1) according to claim 1, wherein said second inlet opening (7) defines an opening surface (71) such as to allow the extraction, through said opening surface (71), of said first filtering means (41) of said purifier module (4).

11. Device (1) according to claim 1, wherein said hood module (3) comprises fourth filtering means (32) arranged between said first ejection outlet (320) and said first outlet opening (8).

12. Device (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein said first filtering means (41) comprise a HEPA filter, said second filtering means (6) comprise a grease filter, and said third filtering means (43) and fourth filtering means (32) comprise an activated carbon filter.
