Backpack comprising an outer enclosure separate from the main pocket

Abstract

The invention relates to a backpack (1) comprising at least one strap (3) intended for the backpack (1) to be carried (1) by a user. The backpack (1) comprises: - a main pocket (5) connected to the at least one strap (3) and comprising a frame (7), the main pocket (5) comprising an inner surface internally defining a first compartment; - an outer enclosure (11) forming a part which is separate from the main pocket (5), and comprising an inner surface; - a fastening system (9) configured such that the backpack (1) can assume a separation configuration wherein the outer enclosure (11) is completely separated from the main pocket (5) and a fastening configuration wherein the frame (7) is rigidly attached to all or a portion of an edge of the outer enclosure (11). The inner surface of the outer enclosure (11) and the outer surface of the main pocket (5) internally define therebetween, when the backpack (1) is in the fastening configuration, a second compartment separate from the first compartment.

Description

Technical field of the invention

[0001] The present invention relates to a backpack comprising at least one shoulder strap intended for carrying the backpack by a user, a main pocket formed from a flexible material, and an outer casing formed from a flexible material. State of the art

[0002] Regardless of the field of application in which they are used, backpacks are generally configured to carry loads inserted into compartments of the backpack and carried thereby on the back of the backpack user.

[0003] However, depending on the volume of the total load carried, it may be advantageous to offer a backpack with a modular volume capacity.

[0004] Known from the state of the art is document DE102018100143A1 which discloses a backpack system, in particular for use on a two-wheeler. The backpack comprises an outer envelope onto which additional envelopes can be attached so as to increase the capacity of the backpack if necessary. This solution is satisfactory in that it makes it possible to offer a backpack with a modular volume capacity depending on the user's needs.

[0005] However, this type of system has the disadvantage of being attached to the external face of the outer envelope, which contributes to unbalancing the balance of loads in the backpack. This is particularly inconvenient when the loads carried are heavy, and it can cause back or lumbar pain for the backpack wearer. Furthermore, existing solutions do not offer additional envelopes allowing the volume to be increased with a capacity substantially equal to or greater than that of the main pocket.

[0008] This goal can be achieved by implementing a backpack comprising at least one strap intended for carrying the backpack by a user, the backpack comprising: a main pocket formed from a flexible material, connected to said at least one strap and comprising a frame, said main pocket comprising an internal surface internally delimiting a first compartment located on the side opposite said at least one strap relative to the frame; an external envelope formed from a flexible material and constituting a part independent of the main pocket, the external envelope comprising an internal surface; a fastening system configured so that the backpack can occupy a separation configuration in which the external envelope is completely separated from the main pocket and a fastening configuration in which the frame is secured to all or part of a contour of the external envelope, the internal surface of the external envelope and the external surface of the main pocket internally delimiting between them, when the backpack is in the fixing configuration, a second compartment distinct from the first compartment, the second compartment being arranged on the side opposite the frame relative to the first compartment.

[0009] The previously described arrangements allow, according to the user's needs, to modulate the capacity of the backpack. Advantageously, the fastening system is positioned at the frame of the main pocket. Thus, this allows a mass contained in the second compartment to be transferred directly to the frame, itself supported by the at least one shoulder strap, which contributes to improving the lateral support of the entire backpack, while increasing the volume capacity of the backpack. A backpack (1) comprising at least one shoulder strap (3) intended for carrying the backpack (1) by a user, the backpack (1) comprising: - a main pocket (5) made of a flexible material, connected to said at least one shoulder strap (3) and comprising a frame (7), said main pocket (5) comprising an internal surface internally delimiting a first compartment located on the side opposite said at least one shoulder strap (3) relative to the frame (7); - an outer shell (11) made of a flexible material and constituting a part independent of the main pocket (5), the outer shell (11) comprising an internal surface; - a fastening system (9) configured so that the backpack (1) can occupy a separation configuration in which the outer shell (11) is completely separated from the main pocket (5) and a fastening configuration in which the frame (7) is secured to all or part of a contour of the outer shell (11), the internal surface of the outer shell (11) and the external surface of the main pocket (5) internally delimiting between them, when the backpack (1) is in the fastening configuration, a second compartment distinct from the first compartment, the second compartment being arranged on the side opposite the frame (7) with respect to the first compartment.

2. The backpack (1) according to claim 1, wherein the second compartment has a volume substantially equal to or greater than the volume of the first compartment.

3. The backpack (1) according to any one of claims 1 or 2, wherein the internal surface of the outer shell (11) and the frame (7) internally delimit between them, in the fastening configuration, a total volume in which the first compartment is fully contained.

4. The backpack (1) according to any one of claims 1 to 3, wherein the frame (7) is arranged at an external surface of the main pocket (5) intended to face the user's back.

5. The backpack (1) according to any one of claims 1 to 4, wherein the frame (7) is made of at least one metal or an alloy of said at least one metal.

6. The backpack (1) according to any one of claims 1 to 5, wherein the fastening system (9) comprises a zipper.

7. The backpack (1) according to any one of claims 1 to 6, wherein the fastening system (9) comprises at least one adhesive element with reversible attachment.

8. The backpack (1) according to any one of claims 1 to 7, wherein the fastening system (9) comprises at least one snap fastener.

9. The backpack (1) according to any one of claims 1 to 8, comprising a belt and two shoulder straps (3).

10. The backpack (1) according to any one of claims 1 to 9, wherein the outer shell (11) is configured to fold back on itself, in particular in the separation configuration.

The backpack (1) according to any one of claims 1 to 10, wherein the outer shell (11) comprises an opening system (13) configured to reversibly provide, in the fastening configuration, a passage through the outer shell (11) giving access to the second compartment from the outside of the backpack (1).
