Abstract

Disclosed are methods and apparatus for reducing sounding reference signal switching interruptions. A terminal device in a communication network may comprise at least one processor and at least one memory having computer program code stored thereon and configured, with the at least one processor, cause the terminal device to perform: receiving, an uplink positioning reference signal configuration associated with a second base station for the terminal device, wherein the terminal device is in a radio resource control inactive state and being located under coverage of a first base station; and activating the uplink positioning reference signal configuration associated with the second base station when a first event is triggered.
