Abstract
Description
[0001] System for generating energy
[0002] The invention relates to a system for generating energy.
[0003] Energy is required to operate mechanical and electrical systems. This energy is provided by energy conversion processes that convert energy into mechanical energy. This mechanical energy can then be converted into electrical energy using generators.
[0004] For example, it is known to operate generators using solar radiation, hydropower, wind power, or the heating of liquids or gases. For solar radiation, wind power, and hydropower, continuous operation of the generators requires sunlight, wind currents, or water currents as primary energy. Heating liquids or gases requires heat sources powered by fuel.
[0005] The object of the invention is to provide a system for generating energy which provides an unlimited amount of energy at low cost without the consumption of fuels and / or a continuously available primary energy source.
[0006] The problem is solved by the features of the independent claims. Advantageous further developments are the subject of the dependent claims and the following description.
[0007] In a first aspect, the invention comprises a system for generating energy comprising at least one rocking device with a foot section and a head section, wherein the foot section has at least one curved surface element on which the rocking device is mounted so as to be rockable in a first direction and a second direction; and at least one closed container partially filled with liquid, which extends along a longitudinal axis and which is mounted on the head section centrally to the longitudinal axis so as to be pivotable about a first pivot axis, wherein the first pivot axis is oriented transversely to the first and second directions; and at least one base device which has at least two lever arms, each having a rolling surface, wherein the first lever arm is pivotally mounted about a second pivot axis that is fixed relative to the system, and the second lever arm is pivotally mounted about a third pivot axis that is fixed relative to the system, wherein the second pivot axis and the third pivot axis are arranged parallel to one another in two different regions of the base device and the lever arms point in opposite directions; and at least two vertical guide rails, wherein one guide rail is arranged in each of the two different regions, wherein each guide rail has a carriage element that is movably mounted on the guide rail, wherein each carriage element has a horizontally aligned driver and is motion-coupled to the lever arm arranged in the other region in such a way that upon a downward movement of the lever arm, the carriage element slides downwards along the guide rail, wherein the rocking device is mounted with the at least one surface element on the lever arms so as to be able to roll along the rolling surface, wherein the head section and the foot section are arranged between the second and third pivot axes in a rest position of the rocking device, wherein the rocking device is designed to carry out a rocking movement on the lever arms when deflected from the rest position via the at least one surface element, wherein the rocking device is further designed to be moved back and forth between the lever arms during the rocking movement and to press the lever arms alternately downwards, wherein the container, after the head section passes one of the guide rails from the rest position, is pivoted by the driver of the carriage element arranged on the other guide rail, wherein the liquid in the container is displaced by pivoting in the direction of this carriage element in such a way that the rocking movement is reversed.,
[0008] The invention provides a system in which the rocking device is set into a rocking motion by the displacement of the liquid in the partially filled container. During the rocking motion, the rocking device moves back and forth like a pendulum between a first direction and a second direction which is opposite to the first direction. This movement can be referred to below as the rocking motion. As a result of this rocking motion, the rocking device on the base device presses the lever arms alternately downwards. The lever arms are arranged in two different areas of the base device and can also be referred to as pedals. Furthermore, in each area one of the guide rails is arranged with the respective slide element. The lever arm of one area is motion-coupled to the slide element of the other area.Pivoting the lever arm downwards causes the slide element in the other area to also move downwards. The movement of the lever arms moves the slide elements on the base device in such a way that when the container rocks in the first direction, it tilts against the first direction in the second direction and the liquid flows into another part of the container which is oriented in the second direction. This shifts the center of mass of the rocking device in the second direction so that the rocking device reverses its rocking motion. The rocking device is accelerated by the rearrangement of the liquid in the container. The rocking device preferably has a mass element on the base section which increases the inertia of the rocking device and thus also increases the kinetic energy stored in the rocking device. In this way, according to the applicant's opinion, the swing device drives itself and has an energy surplus which can be fed to a generator, for example by means of a connecting rod which can be attached to the swing device.
[0009] The lever arms can, for example, be mounted on compression springs that are compressed by the weight of the rocking mechanism when the lever arm is moved downward. When the weight is no longer on the lever arms, the compression springs can push the respective lever arm upward again.
[0010] According to one example, the guide track can be designed as a toothed rail and the at least one curved surface element can have a plurality of teeth, wherein at least a portion of the plurality of teeth engages in the toothed rail.
[0011] The interlocking of the teeth between the curved surface element and the guide track prevents the swing device from slipping during the swinging movement.
[0012] According to a further example, the rocking device can have three curved surface elements which are formed on parallel arranged runner elements of the rocking device, and the base device can comprise two guide tracks, wherein two of the three runner elements are each mounted so as to be able to roll on a guide track.
[0013] The runners provide stable components at the base section, securely supporting the swing. Furthermore, the swinging motion can be achieved in a simple and material-saving manner by rolling the runners along the guide track.
[0014] In another example, the rocking device may comprise at least one support element, preferably two support elements, wherein the support element extends between the head section and the foot section and is preferably designed as a telescopic arm for changing the distance between the head section and the foot section. Preferably, the rocking device comprises at least two support elements. The at least two support elements may be arranged on two sides of the container, so that the storage of the container is stabilized.
[0015] The support element allows the distance between the container containing the liquid and the base section to be adjusted. The rocking motion of the rocking device can be adjusted by adjusting the distance between the container and the curved surface element.
[0016] Furthermore, the carriage elements can be coupled in movement to the lever arms, for example by means of a cable pull mechanism, wherein the cable pull mechanism preferably has at least one pulley and / or a curved rack with a gear wheel which is coupled to a winding roller.
[0017] The cable-pull mechanism transmits the force and movement of the lever arms between the lever arms and the slide elements in a simple, easy-to-manufacture manner. This mechanism also simplifies maintenance and can be adjusted without great effort.
[0018] In another example, the cable pull mechanism may include a gear for translating the movement of the lever arms to the carriage members.
[0019] The gear allows the force and movement to be transmitted between the lever arms and the slide elements in an alternative and simple way.
[0020] According to a further example, the rocking device may comprise at least one stop element for limiting pivoting of the container, wherein the stop element preferably comprises a buffer element and further preferably a compression spring.
[0021] Limiting the container's tilt ensures that when the liquid is moved, the container is tilted only far enough to reverse the direction of the rocking motion. Furthermore, free, uncontrolled swinging of the container during the rocking motion is prevented.
[0022] When the container rests on a compression spring, the compression spring is under tension. When the liquid in the container is transferred to another part of the container, the container's pivoting motion is assisted by the relaxation of the compression spring.
[0023] The at least one guide track can, for example, have upwardly bent end regions.
[0024] The upwardly curved end sections of the guide track limit the swinging motion of the swing mechanism to a maximum angle in both directions. This prevents the swing mechanism from tipping over.
[0025] Furthermore, the swing device can, for example, have a movably mounted connecting rod for driving an electric generator.
[0026] The connecting rod may, for example, be a connecting rod connected at one end to, for example, the base section of the swing device. The opposite end of the connecting rod may be eccentrically connected to a generator axle to drive it.
[0027] The invention relates to the use of the system according to the preceding description for generating energy, wherein the system drives an electrical generator and the energy generation is started by deflecting the rocking device from the rest position.
[0028] Advantages and effects, as well as further developments of use, arise from the advantages and effects, as well as further developments of the system described above. To avoid repetition, reference is made to the previous description in this regard.
[0029] The invention is described below using an exemplary embodiment with the aid of the accompanying drawings. They show:
[0030] Figures 1a and 1b show a schematic representation of a system for generating energy in a cross-sectional view (a) and a front view (b);
[0031] Figure 2 is a schematic representation of the system in a first rocking state; and
[0032] Figure 3 is a schematic representation of the system in a second rocking state.
[0033] The system is hereinafter designated in its entirety by the reference numeral 10 , as shown in Figure 1a .
[0034] The system 10 comprises a rocking device 12 and a base device 14.
[0035] The rocking device 12 has a foot section 18 and a head section 20. The foot section 18 further has at least one curved surface element 76 on which the rocking device 12 is mounted so as to be rockable in a first direction 72 and in a second direction 74. Furthermore, the foot section 18 can have three runner elements 24, 26, as shown in Figure 1b. Each runner element 24, 26 can have a surface element 76. Each surface element 76 can have a plurality of teeth 25.
[0036] At least one mass element 22 can be arranged on the foot section 18, so that the center of gravity of the swing device 12 is arranged on the foot section 18. The mass element 22 increases the inertia of the swing device 12, so that the kinetic energy that can be stored by the swing device 12 is increased.
[0037] A support element 16 can extend between the foot section 18 and the head section 20. The support element 16 can be designed as a telescopic arm, so that the distance between the foot section 18 and the head section 20 can be varied. The telescopic arm can be adjustable in several stages. Alternatively, the telescopic arm can be continuously adjustable.
[0038] A closed container 28 is arranged on the head section 20. The container 28 extends along a 32. Centrally to the longitudinal axis 32, the container 28 is pivotally mounted on the head section 20 about a first pivot axis 34. The first pivot axis 34 can be arranged at an end section of the support element 16. During a pivoting movement, the longitudinal axis of the container 28 is rotated about the first pivot axis 34.
[0039] The container 28 can also be supported by two support elements 16.
[0040] A joint or bearing attached to the head portion 20 may have the first pivot axis 34.
[0041] The first pivot axis 34 is oriented transversely to the first and second directions 72, 74. The term "transverse" can be understood as orthogonal. Furthermore, the first pivot axis 34 extends in a horizontal plane. During a rocking motion of the rocking device 12, the pivot axis 34 is not tilted, but merely displaced in its horizontal and vertical position.
[0042] Furthermore, the container 28 is partially filled with liquid 30. The liquid 30 can comprise water, an oil, or another liquid. The fill level of the container 28 is selected such that, when the container 28 is not in a horizontal position, the liquid 30 collects at one end portion of the container 28. The liquid 30 can flow freely within the container 28 and from one end portion of the container 28 to the other.
[0043] By shifting the liquid 30 from one end portion to the other end portion of the container 28, the container 28 is pivoted about the first pivot axis 34. In doing so, the center of gravity of the rocking device 12 is also shifted in the direction in which the end portion of the container 28 filled with the liquid 30 points.
[0044] When the center of gravity of the rocking device 12 is shifted in the first direction 72, the rocking device 12 tilts in the first direction 72 due to the mounting of the rocking device 12 on the at least one curved surface element 76. Conversely, the rocking device 12 tilts in the second direction 74 when the liquid 30 is shifted in the second direction 74 by correspondingly pivoting the container 28.
[0045] To limit the pivoting angle of the pivoting movement of the container 28, the rocking device 12 can have stop elements 68. The pivoting angle can be limited to a predefined value by two stop elements 68 in each direction of the pivoting movement. When the container 28 performs a rocking movement, it contacts one of the stop elements 68 starting at the predefined value of the pivoting angle. This stops the pivoting movement of the container 28.
[0046] The stop elements 68 can, for example, be attached to the support element 16.
[0047] Furthermore, the stop elements 68 can comprise a buffer element and a compression spring. The compression spring is tensioned when the container 28 strikes the stop element 68. When the container 28 pivots away from the stop element 68, the relaxation of the compression spring supports the movement of the container 28.
[0048] The rocking device 12 is mounted on the base device 14 via the at least one surface element 76 so that it can be rocked.
[0049] The base device 14 has two lever arms 44, 46. The lever arm 44 extends from a second pivot axis 38, and the second lever arm 46 extends from a third pivot axis 42. The second pivot axis 38 and the third pivot axis 42 are fixedly attached to the base device 14. Like the first pivot axis 34, the second and third pivot axes 38, 42 are oriented transversely to the first and second directions 72, 74.
[0050] The second and third pivot axes 38, 44 are arranged in different areas of the base device 14. In Figure 1, the second pivot axis 38 is arranged in the right-hand area of the base device 14 and the third pivot axis 42 is arranged in the left-hand area of the base device 14. The lever arm 44 extends from the second pivot axis 38 into the left-hand area. The lever arm 44 is therefore arranged in the left-hand area. The lever arm 46 extends from the third pivot axis 42 into the right-hand area. The lever arm 46 is therefore arranged in the right-hand area. The lever arms 44, 46 each have a rolling surface 40. The rocking device 12 is mounted with at least one of the curved surface elements 76 on at least one of the rolling surfaces 40. The rolling surfaces 40 of the lever arms 44, 46 enclose an angle that is less than 180°.
[0051] During a rocking movement, the weight of the rocking device 12 shifts alternately from one lever arm 44, 46 to the other.
[0052] The respective lever arm 44, 46, which supports the weight of the rocking device 12, is pressed downward. This lever arm 44, 46 pivots about its associated pivot axis 38, 42.
[0053] Compression springs 59, 61 can be arranged beneath the lever arms 44, 46. When no weight is pushing the lever arms 44, 46 downward, the respective compression springs relax and push the respective lever arm 44, 46 upward.
[0054] The further curved surface elements 76 can be mounted on guideways 36, which guide a rolling movement of the curved surface elements 36 in the first direction 72 or in the second direction 74.
[0055] The guideways 36 can have upwardly curved end portions 37. The upwardly curved end portions 37 can limit tilting of the swing device 12 in the first or second direction 72, 74. This can reduce the risk of the swing device 12 tipping over.
[0056] Furthermore, the guide tracks 36 can be designed as toothed rails, wherein the teeth 25 of the surface elements 76 can engage with the toothed rails. The lever arms 44, 46 can also be designed as toothed rails. Two vertical guide rails 48 are arranged in the area of the lever arms 44, 46. The guide rails 48 can be attached to the base device 14 or to the floor. Furthermore, each area of the base device 14 has a guide rail 48. For example, in Figure 1, one guide rail 48 is arranged in the left area and one in the right area of the base device 14.
[0057] Each of the vertical guide rails 48 has a carriage element 50, 51. The carriage elements 50, 51 can be designed, for example, as trolleys. Furthermore, the carriage elements 50, 51 are movably mounted along the guide rails 48. The carriage elements
[0058] 50, 51 can thus be moved upwards or downwards along the guide rails 48.
[0059] The movement of the slide elements 50, 51 is coupled to the movement of the lever arms 44, 46. When the lever arm 44 is pivoted downward, the slide element 51 moves downward along the guide rail 48. When the lever arm 46 is pivoted downward, the slide element 50 moves downward along the guide rail 48.
[0060] Each lever arm 44, 46 is thus coupled in motion to the slide element 50, 51 from the other area.
[0061] The movement can be coupled via a cable mechanism 54. Cables 60, 66 connect the lever arms 44, 46 with the slide elements 50, 51. Cable 60 connects lever arm 46 with slide element 50. Cable 66 connects lever arm 44 with cable
[0062] 51.
[0063] The lever arms 44, 46 can further have, for example, curved toothed rails 41, 43 which are directed downwards and actuate winding rollers 55, 57. The winding rollers 55, 57 can be designed to wind up the cables 60, 62. Winding roller 55 is designed to wind up the cable 66 and winding roller 57 is designed to wind up the cable 60. When the lever arms 44, 46 move downwards, the curved toothed rails 41, 43 also move downwards and rotate the winding rollers 55, 57 such that the cables 60, 66 connected to them are wound up. By guiding the cables 60, 66, the carriage element 50, 51 fastened to the respective cable 60, 66 is pulled downwards.
[0064] The cable pull 56 is attached to the top of the slide element 50. The other end of the cable pull 56 is attached to a counterweight 47. For this purpose, the cable pull 56 is guided along the guide rail 48 via a deflection pulley 58. If the slide element 50 is not pulled down or held in position by the lever arm 46, the slide element 50 is pulled back up by the counterweight 47.
[0065] The cable pull 62 is attached to the top of the slide element 51. The other end of the cable pull 62 is attached to a counterweight 49. For this purpose, the cable pull 62 is guided along the guide rail 48 via a deflection pulley 64. If the slide element 51 is not pulled down or held in position by the lever arm 44, the slide element 51 is pulled back up by the counterweight 49.
[0066] The cable pull mechanism 54 shown in this example can also be designed differently. Furthermore, the cable pull mechanism 54 can include pulley components to translate the movement of the lever arms 44, 46 with respect to the carriage elements 50, 51.
[0067] Alternatively or additionally, the lever arms 44, 46 can be coupled in motion to the slide elements 50, 51 via a gear 70.
[0068] The gear 70 or the cable pull mechanism 54 can be arranged at least partially in a housing 78. The housing 78 can support the base device 14. Alternatively, the housing 78 can be arranged laterally on the base device 14.
[0069] The slide elements 50 , 51 have drivers 52 , 53 . Drivers
[0070] 52 is attached to the slide element 50 and driver 53 is attached to the slide element 51 .
[0071] When the carriage elements 50, 51 move along the guide rails 48, the drivers 52, 53 cross the movement path of the container 28. The container 28 is below the drivers 52,
[0072] 53 are arranged so that the drivers 52, 53 contact the container 28 from above during a movement from top to bottom and pivot the respective contacted container part downwards.
[0073] Figures 1a and 1b show the rocking device 12 in the rest position, in which the container 28 is arranged horizontally. The liquid 30 in the container is accordingly evenly distributed in the container 28.
[0074] Figure 2 shows a first pivoting position of the rocking device 12, which serves only to illustrate the system. It should be noted that the figure is a purely schematic representation and only partially shows the actual scales between the individual components.
[0075] In the first pivoting position, the rocking device 12 is in the rest position with the exception of the container 28. The container 28 is pivoted downwards with the end section 31 in the first pivoting position. The container 28 is pivoted such that the end section 31 is arranged lower than the opposite end section 29 of the container 28. The liquid 30 is therefore arranged in the container 28 at the end section 31. Its weight exerts a force on the rocking device 12 in the second direction 74. The rocking device 12 is therefore accelerated in the second direction 74.
[0076] As soon as the rocking device 12 is pivoted in the second direction 74, it pushes the lever arm 44 downward. This causes the slide element 51 to move downward. Furthermore, the movement of the lever arm 44 tensions the compression spring 59.
[0077] The lever arm 46 and thus also the slide element 50 remain in the rest position.
[0078] As a result of the pivoting movement, the head section 20 of the rocking device 12 is moved past the guide rails 48. As soon as the first pivot axis 34 on the head section 20 has passed both guide rails 48, the carriage element 51 in the right-hand area has been moved downwards so far that the driver 53 contacts the end section 29 of the container 28, as shown in Figure 3. This position can be referred to as the second pivoting position. When the carriage element 51 moves further downwards, the end section 29 of the container 28 is also pivoted downwards via the driver 53. The downward movement of the carriage element 51 is brought about by the pivoting movement of the rocking device 12 and the resulting pressure on the lever arm 44.
[0079] The downward movement of the slide element 51 occurs during the pivoting movement of the rocking device 12 in the second direction 74. The container 28 is pivoted until the end section 29 rests on the stop element 68 in the right-hand area of the base device 14.
[0080] As soon as the end section 29 is positioned lower than the end section 31, the liquid 30 flows into the end section 29. This shifts the center of gravity of the rocking device 12 in the first direction 72, so that the rocking device 12 is accelerated in the first direction 72. The processes described above for the slide element 51 then apply analogously to the slide element 50.
[0081] In order to extract energy from the system 10 described above, a connecting rod (not shown) can be pivotally attached to the rocking device 12, e.g., to a skid element 24, 26 or to the mass element 22. This connecting rod can further be eccentrically connected to a generator axis. The connecting rod can thus convert the rocking motion of the rocking device 12 into a rotary motion for operating the generator. In this way, the system 10 can be used to generate energy.
[0082] The energy generation is started by deflecting the container 28 from the rest position shown in Figure 1a.
[0083] The example described above does not limit the invention in any way. Rather, the invention can be modified in many ways. All of the features of the invention described above can be essential to the invention, either alone or in combination with one another.
