Abstract
Description
[0001] Fitting of a sanitary facility and sanitary facility
[0002] The present invention relates to a fitting for a sanitary facility and a sanitary device. The fitting is, for example, a thermostatic mixer tap with which mixed water at a desired mixed water temperature can be provided, particularly at washbasins, sinks, showers, and / or bathtubs.
[0003] In particular, the fitting has two connections via which the fitting can be connected to liquid lines located outside the fitting.
[0004] Thermostatic mixer taps typically feature a thermostatic mixer for mixing cold and hot water to produce a blended water at a desired temperature. This tap is connected, for example, to a cold water and a hot water line.
[0005] The fluid lines laid in a wall, for example, have a specific spacing (also referred to as "pitch") between them. This spacing may be subject to certain tolerances, so that a connection to the fitting connections may be difficult or the connection can only be made by bracing the fluid lines. In addition, different countries define their own standard dimensions for these fluid line spacings, so that a fitting must be dimensioned accordingly with regard to the respective standard. The object of the invention is therefore to at least partially solve the problems described with reference to the prior art and, in particular, to propose a fitting that can be used in particular for different standard dimensions of the spacing or pitch.
[0006] These objects are achieved with a fitting according to the features of the independent patent claim. Further advantageous embodiments of the invention are specified in the dependent patent claims. It should be noted that the features listed individually in the dependent patent claims can be combined with one another in any technologically expedient manner and define further embodiments of the invention. Furthermore, the features listed in the patent claims are further specified and explained in the description, with further preferred embodiments of the invention being presented.
[0007] A fitting for a sanitary facility having at least a first fluid channel and a second fluid channel is proposed, wherein the first fluid channel is fluidically connectable via a first connection of the fitting to a permanently installed first fluid line arranged outside the fitting, and the second fluid channel is fluidically connectable via a second connection of the fitting to a permanently installed second fluid line arranged outside the fitting. The fitting has at least one first receptacle for a first adapter element. The first adapter element forms the first connection and can be arranged in the first receptacle at least in a first position and in a second position. A first distance between the first connection arranged in the first position and the second connection and a second distance between the first connection arranged in the second position and the second connection are different from one another. The fitting is, in particular, a thermostatic mixer. A thermostatic mixer is used, in particular, to provide mixed water as needed to a washbasin, sink, shower, or bathtub. For this purpose, the thermostatic mixer can have a thermostatic mixer through which cold water at a cold water temperature and hot water at a hot water temperature can be mixed to produce mixed water at a desired mixed water temperature. The mixed water temperature can be regulated, in particular, by a control element of the thermostatic mixer, for example, in the form of an expansion element.
[0008] The fitting can be used to mix fluids from different pipes (liquid pipes, e.g. hot water, cold water, domestic water, grey water, etc.) and then pass them on as a mixed fluid to a dispensing device, e.g. a shower head, a hand shower, etc.
[0009] The cold water temperature is in particular a maximum of 25 °C (Celsius), preferably 1 °C to 25 °C, particularly preferably 5 °C to 20 °C and / or the hot water temperature is in particular a maximum of 90 °C, preferably 25 °C to 90 °C, particularly preferably 55 °C to 65 °C.
[0010] The fitting can be attached, in particular, to a support, such as a wall. The fitting can, in particular, be made at least partially of plastic and / or metal, such as brass.
[0011] A connector typically includes a threaded connection between the connector and the fluid line. However, plug-in connections or similar connections (bayonet lock, clip connection, etc.) are also possible. The connector is typically round.
[0012] The distance refers specifically to the respective center of the respective line (i.e., the fluid line or fluid channel) in a cross-section of the connection (perpendicular to the line path). The distance is also referred to as "pitch" in technical circles.
[0013] With the connection designed as an adapter element, a fitting can be used for various spacings. If necessary, adapter elements of different designs can be arranged in the respective receptacle, allowing a wide variety of connection dimensions (spacings) to be realized on the fitting. This allows a fitting to be designed for a large number of different countries or to be identical for all countries, whereby the different spacing standards can be accommodated by a variety of differently designed adapter elements.
[0014] In particular, the first distance and the second distance differ from each other by at least five millimeters, preferably by at least ten millimeters, particularly preferably by at least 15 millimeters.
[0015] In particular, the fitting has a second receptacle for a second adapter element, wherein the second adapter element forms the second connection and can be arranged in the second receptacle at least in a first position and in a second position. When both adapter elements are arranged in the first position, the distance is minimal, and when both adapter elements are arranged in the second position, the distance is maximum. One spacer element can also be arranged in the first position and the other spacer element in the second position, so that at least three different distances can be realized using just two adapter elements.
[0016] In particular, the adapter element can only be arranged in two positions in the holder.
[0017] In particular, the adapter element can only be inserted into the receptacle along one axial direction and can be secured in the receptacle by a positive connection with respect to the axial direction. The fixation can be achieved, for example, by a wire clip that can be inserted into the receptacle through an opening in the fitting. The wire clip then engages, in particular, in a groove on the adapter element, so that the adapter element can be secured in the receptacle with respect to the axial direction. If the wire clip is removed again, the adapter element can be pulled out of the receptacle.
[0018] In particular, the adapter element or the receptacle has a sealing element, e.g. an O-ring, by means of which a fluid-tight connection between the adapter element and the receptacle can be realized.
[0019] In particular, the positive connection is detachable and the adapter element can be removed from the holder.
[0020] In particular, the connection has an external thread or an internal thread for connection to the fluid line. Furthermore, a sanitary device is proposed, at least comprising the described fitting as well as a first fluid line and a second fluid line. The fluid lines are arranged at a fixed distance from one another, e.g., in a wall. The at least one first adapter element is arranged in the first receptacle such that the distance between the connections of the fitting essentially corresponds to the (fixed) distance between the fluid lines. In particular, this provides a connection between the fitting and the fluid lines that is as stress-free as possible.
[0021] In particular, the at least one adapter element can be selected such that the distance between the connections essentially corresponds to the distance between the fluid lines ("best fit").
[0022] As a precaution, it should be noted that the numerals used here ("first", "second", ...) primarily serve (only) to distinguish between several similar objects, quantities, or processes, and therefore do not necessarily prescribe any interdependence and / or sequence of these objects, quantities, or processes. Should a dependence and / or sequence be necessary, this is explicitly stated here or will be obvious to the person skilled in the art upon studying the specifically described embodiment. To the extent that a component can occur multiple times ("at least one"), the description of one of these components can apply equally to all or part of the majority of these components, but this is not mandatory. The invention and the technical environment are explained in more detail below with reference to the accompanying figures. It should be noted that the invention is not intended to be limited by the exemplary embodiments cited. It should be noted that the figures, and in particular the proportions depicted, are only schematic. In the fitting 1, the differently tempered fluids are mixed to form mixed water with a desired mixed water temperature. The connections 5, 7 are spaced at a fixed distance 13.
[0030] Fig. 2 shows a perspective view of a sanitary facility 2. Reference is made to the explanations for Fig. 1.
[0031] The sanitary device 2 comprises a fitting 1 and a first fluid line 6 and a second fluid line 8. The fluid lines 6, 8 are arranged at a fixed distance 13 from one another, e.g. in a wall.
[0032] The fitting 1 has a first fluid channel 3 and a second fluid channel 4, wherein the first fluid channel 3 is fluidically connectable via a first connection 5 of the fitting 1 to the permanently installed first fluid line 6 arranged outside the fitting 1, and the second fluid channel 4 is fluidically connectable via a second connection 7 of the fitting 1 to the permanently installed second fluid line 8 arranged outside the fitting 1. The fitting 1 has a first receptacle 9 for a first adapter element 10. The first adapter element 10 forms the first connection 5 and can be arranged in a first position 11 and in a second position 12 in the first receptacle 9. A first distance 13 between the first connection 5 arranged in the first position 11 and the second connection 7 and a second distance 14 between the first connection 5 arranged in the second position 12 and the second connection 7 are different from one another.
[0033] The first adapter element 10 is arranged in the first receptacle 9 such that the distance 13 between the connections 5, 7 of the fitting 1 essentially corresponds to the (fixed) first distance 13 of the fluid lines 6, 8. Each connection 5, 7 comprises a threaded connection between the connection 5,
[0034] 7 and the liquid line 6, 8. Each connection 5, 7 is round.
[0035] The distance 13, 14 refers to the respective center of the respective line (i.e., the fluid line 6, 8 or the fluid channel 3, 4) in a cross-section of the connection 5, 7 (perpendicular to the path of the lines 3, 4, 6, 8). This distance is also referred to as the "pitch" in technical circles.
[0036] The fitting 1 has a second receptacle 15 for a second adapter element 16, wherein the second adapter element 16 forms the second connection 7 and can be arranged in the second receptacle 15 at least in a first position 11 and in a second position 12.
[0037] Each adapter element 10, 16 can only be arranged in two positions 11, 12 in the holder 9, 15.
[0038] The adapter elements 10, 16 can only be inserted into the receptacle 9, 15 along an axial direction 17 and can be fixed in the receptacle 9, 15 by a positive connection 18 with respect to the axial direction 17. The fixation is achieved by a wire clip 19, which can be inserted into the receptacle 9, 15 through an opening 20 in the fitting 1. The wire clip 19 then engages in a groove 21 on the adapter element 10, 16, so that the adapter element 10, 16 can be fixed in the receptacle 9, 15 with respect to the axial direction 17. If the wire clip 19 is removed again, the adapter element 10, 16 can be pulled out of the receptacle 9, 15. The adapter element 10, 16 has a sealing element 22 (O-ring) through which a fluid-tight connection between the adapter element 10, 16 and the receptacle 9, 15 is realized.
[0039] Fig. 3 shows two adapter elements 10, 16, each arranged in a second position 12. Fig. 4 shows two adapter elements 10, 16, each arranged in a first position 11. Figs. 3 and 4 are described together below. Reference is made to the explanations for Fig. 2.
[0040] When both adapter elements 10, 16 are arranged in the first position 11, the first distance 13 is minimal, and when both adapter elements 10, 16 are arranged in the second position 12, the second distance 14 is maximal. One adapter element 10 can also be arranged in the first position 11 and the other adapter element 16 in the second position 12, so that at least three different distances 13, 14 can be realized with just two adapter elements 10, 16.
[0041] Fig. 5 shows an adapter element 10 with an external thread as connection geometry.
