Description
[0001] The invention relates to a cooking appliance with a cooking chamber of the type mentioned in the preamble of claim 1.
[0002] Such cooking appliances with cooking chambers are already known in the art in a multitude of embodiments and comprise a housing with a cooking chamber arranged in the housing to form a cooking chamber, wherein the cooking chamber has two mounting tabs for a positive-locking connection with a mounting wall of the housing and the respective positive-locking connection is formed by means of at least one chamber mounting element engaging in a mounting hole in the mounting wall and in the respective mounting tab. In an operating state of the cooking appliance, the cooking chamber heats up, causing it to expand and thus move relative to the housing.Undesirable mechanical stresses can occur between the cooking appliance's muffle and the appliance's housing, potentially impairing the proper functioning of the appliance or even damaging the appliance itself, specifically the muffle and / or the housing. For example, an enameled muffle can develop unwanted flaking enamel. The invention provides a remedy for this problem.
[0003] The following prior art documents show various arrangements with which the thermal expansion of the muffle can be taken into account: DE 10314589 B4, EP 1464895 B1, DE 10314500 A1 and EP 4006429 A1.
[0004] The invention thus addresses the problem of improving a cooking appliance with a housing and a cooking chamber arranged in the housing to form a cooking chamber. According to the invention, this problem is solved by a cooking appliance with the features of claim 1, characterized in that the mounting hole arranged in each of the mounting tabs is designed as an elongated hole, wherein a longitudinal axis of the elongated hole extends in a depth dimension of the cooking appliance extending from a front face of the housing towards the mounting wall, and wherein the respective corresponding elongated holes, mounting holes, and chamber mounting elements are designed to be coordinated such that the respective chamber mounting element is positioned away from both ends of the elongated hole that define the depth dimension, both in a non-use state of the cooking appliance and in every use state of the cooking appliance. Each of the mounting tabs can thus be force-transmittingly connected to the mounting wall by means of a single muffle mounting element or with a plurality of muffle mounting elements, wherein each muffle mounting element corresponds to a mounting hole in the mounting wall and to a mounting hole designed as an elongated hole in the mounting tab assigned to this muffle mounting element. Advantageous embodiments and further developments of the invention are set forth in the following dependent claims.
[0005] The advantage achievable with the invention lies particularly in the fact that a cooking appliance with a housing and a cooking chamber arranged in the housing to form a cooking chamber is improved. Due to the cooking appliance according to the invention, it is possible for the cooking chamber to expand along the depth dimension of the cooking appliance in every operating state without this leading to undesirable and detrimental mechanical stress between the cooking chamber on one side and the housing, i.e., the mounting wall, on the other. This is because the mounting holes, each designed as an elongated hole in the mounting tabs, allow the cooking chamber to be mounted in a floating manner relative to the housing along the depth dimension of the cooking appliance according to the invention. Accordingly, for example, the enamel chipping of an enamelled cooking chamber described above is effectively prevented. The cooking appliance muffle of the cooking appliance according to the invention can therefore be sufficiently attached to the housing along the depth dimension without impairing the proper function of the cooking appliance according to the invention due to mechanical stresses, either in the non-use state or in any of the use states.
[0006] In principle, the cooking appliance according to the invention can be freely selected within wide suitable limits with regard to type, function, material, and dimensions. For example, the cooking appliance according to the invention can be designed as an oven, a steam cooker, a microwave oven, or as a combination appliance with a plurality of different heating methods. Furthermore, the cooking appliance according to the invention can be designed as a household appliance as well as a commercial cooking appliance, i.e., a cooking appliance for professional use. The design of, for example, the cooking appliance's combustion chamber can be correspondingly diverse, so that the combustion chamber does not necessarily have to be enamelled. Stainless steel combustion chambers are mentioned here as a purely illustrative example.
[0007] An advantageous embodiment of the cooking device according to the invention provides that the two mounting tabs are each arranged on one side of the cooking device's muffle, and the mounting wall has correspondingly designed side tabs. Preferably, the side tabs are each formed as a flange of the mounting wall that includes the mounting hole. Particularly preferably, a groove containing the mounting hole is formed in the respective flange of the mounting wall. This allows the invention to be implemented in a particularly simple and therefore cost-effective manner from a design and manufacturing perspective. This applies in particular to embodiments of the cooking device according to the invention in which the housing is assembled, for example, by means of separate mounting walls, housing tops, and housing bottoms, since here the joining of the individual aforementioned housing parts on the one hand and the attachment of the cooking device muffle to the mounting wall of the housing on the other hand do not compete with each other, for example, due to space constraints or the like. The preferred embodiment of this further development also has the additional advantage that, for example, side tabs designed as separate side panels do not need to be connected to a remainder of the mounting wall. Instead, the side panels are formed from the mounting wall itself. The particularly preferred embodiment of this further development has the additional advantage that the bead stiffens the respective bend and, at the same time, brings the bend closer to the corresponding mounting tab with its elongated mounting hole in the area of the bend's mounting hole. Due to the reduced distance between the bend on one side and the mounting tab on the other, achieved in the aforementioned manner, the use of shorter and therefore more cost-effective muffle fastening elements is possible. Furthermore, the bend with the bead and the corresponding muffle fastening element can be designed to be coordinated such that a free surface of the bend facing away from the corresponding mounting tab rises above a free end of the muffle fastening element corresponding to the bend. The muffle fastening element is thus recessed in the bend by means of the groove.
[0008] The mounting wall is preferably a wall-like structure of the housing and is arranged behind the cooking appliance muffle in the depth direction of the cooking appliance muffle with respect to a loading opening of the cooking appliance muffle, in particular the mounting wall is arranged between a housing rear wall of the housing and the cooking appliance muffle.
[0009] According to an alternative design, the mounting wall forms the rear wall of the housing.
[0010] One aspect is that the mounting wall is a flat, disc-like, and wall-shaped body, which is preferably arranged perpendicular to a housing top or bottom.
[0011] One aspect is that the mounting wall is arranged perpendicular to the plane of the loading opening of the cooking appliance muffle, or perpendicular to the rear wall of the cooking appliance muffle. A further advantageous embodiment of the cooking appliance according to the invention provides that the respective mounting tab is positively and / or materially bonded to a portion of the cooking appliance muffle. In this way, a reliable and therefore robust force-transmitting connection between the cooking appliance muffle and the two mounting tabs is achieved. The positive connection could, for example, be effected by means of at least one mounting bolt and / or at least one mounting screw. For the aforementioned materially bonded connection, welding or bonding of the mounting tabs to the cooking appliance muffle is conceivable, for example. The person skilled in the art will select the appropriate connection technology depending on the requirements of the individual case.
[0012] Another advantageous embodiment of the cooking device according to the invention provides that the respective muffle fastening element is designed as a fastening bolt or a fastening screw, preferably that, on the one hand, the respective fastening hole in the mounting wall is designed as a circular fastening hole corresponding to an outer diameter of a shaft of the muffle fastening element, and, on the other hand, the respective fastening hole in the fastening tab has a width of this elongated hole corresponding to the aforementioned outer diameter, particularly preferably that the respective muffle fastening element is designed to be suitable for blind mounting. This ensures that the respective corresponding components, namely the fastening hole in the mounting wall, the elongated fastening hole in the fastening tab, and the muffle fastening element, are designed in a particularly useful and suitable manner. This applies particularly to the preferred and especially the particularly preferred embodiment of this further development. With this further development, heat conduction from the cooking appliance muffle towards the mounting wall is significantly reduced as desired, since the respective muffle mounting element only contacts the mounting wall and the corresponding mounting tab via a very small contact area. Regardless of the further development described in this paragraph, the mounting hole in the mounting wall can, for example, be designed as a bore or a punched hole, while the mounting hole in the mounting tab, designed as an elongated hole, can, for example, be a through-hole. However, other configurations of the mounting holes known to those skilled in the art and suitable for the respective individual case are also conceivable.
[0013] A particularly advantageous embodiment of the cooking device according to the invention provides that the respective mounting tab, in addition to the mounting hole formed therein, has a plurality of further holes to reduce heat conduction from the cooking appliance's interior towards the mounting wall. Preferably, the further holes are arranged at least partially along an axis perpendicular to the depth dimension; more preferably, all further holes are arranged along the aforementioned axis. In this way, the heat conduction from the cooking appliance's interior towards the mounting wall is further reduced as desired. This applies particularly to the preferred and especially to the particularly preferred embodiment of this embodiment. These further holes can be designed and manufactured analogously to the mounting holes mentioned above.
[0014] A further particularly advantageous embodiment of the cooking device according to the invention provides that the respective mounting tab has a raised edge, preferably that the raised edge is arranged at least partially in an overlap area of the mounting tab with the mounting wall such that the mounting wall rests against the mounting tab only by means of the raised edge or not at all. This significantly improves the stiffness of the respective mounting tab in a structurally and manufacturably simple manner. For example, the raised edge can be formed as a chamfer of the respective mounting tab. The first variant of the preferred embodiment of this further development has the additional advantage that, firstly, the force transmission between the respective mounting tab on one side and the mounting wall on the other side is improved by means of the aforementioned overlap area.Secondly, the contact area required between the respective mounting tab and the mounting wall is very small, so that heat conduction from the cooking appliance muffle towards the mounting wall, corresponding to this contact area, is very limited. In contrast, the second variant of the preferred embodiment of this further development has the advantage that, due to the aforementioned overlap, no heat conduction takes place between the cooking appliance muffle and the mounting wall.
[0015] Another advantageous embodiment of the cooking appliance according to the invention provides that the cooking appliance has a blower arranged on a muffle rear wall of the cooking appliance muffle, as well as a blower motor, wherein blower mounting elements for attaching the blower to the muffle rear wall and the mounting wall are designed to be coordinated such that the blower mounting elements are positioned freely relative to the mounting wall in the non-use state and in every use state of the cooking appliance. Blowers are very frequently used in cooking appliances with cooking chambers for a wide variety of operational reasons.By means of the present further development, the fastening of the blower motor to the cooking appliance muffle by means of the blower fastening elements is mechanically and thermally decoupled from the mounting wall, so that this blower fastening cannot have any adverse effect with regard to unwanted mechanical stresses or with regard to unwanted thermal bridges between the cooking appliance muffle and the mounting wall.
[0016] When using a blower as in the present embodiment of the invention, it is particularly advantageous that the two mounting tabs are each arranged on one side of the cooking appliance's muffle and that the mounting wall has correspondingly designed side tabs. This is because, in this case, the mounting tabs are not located in the immediate area of effect of the blower, so that heat transported in an airflow of the blower is not undesirably transferred to the mounting wall via the mounting tabs. Accordingly, the energy consumption of this cooking appliance according to the invention is reduced compared to a comparable cooking appliance according to the invention in which the mounting tabs are arranged in the aforementioned airflow of the blower.
[0017] The blower is located inside the cooking appliance cavity. The blower motor is typically positioned outside the cooking appliance cavity. In particular, the blower motor is located on the side of the mounting wall facing away from the cooking appliance cavity.
[0018] An advantageous further development of the aforementioned embodiment of the cooking appliance according to the invention provides that holes corresponding to the fan mounting elements are arranged in the mounting wall, preferably that these holes are each formed as a cutout in the mounting wall. In this way, the aforementioned mechanical and thermal decoupling of the cooking appliance muffle from the mounting wall is achieved in a very simple manner from both a design and manufacturing perspective. This applies particularly to the preferred embodiment of this further development. However, the aforementioned holes can be manufactured in any suitable and practical way. See also the above descriptions of the mounting holes and other holes.
[0019] One aspect is that at least one of the blower mounting elements penetrates the plane of the mounting wall, especially the corresponding plane of the holes, thus providing easier mounting of a fan motor.
[0020] A further advantageous embodiment of the cooking device according to the invention provides that the cooking appliance muffle is held to the front of the housing in such a form-fitting manner that the cooking appliance muffle is only attached to the housing by means of the interaction of this holder with the aforementioned form-fitting connection of the cooking appliance muffle to the mounting wall. This enables a particularly simple design and manufacture of the cooking device according to the invention.
[0021] Furthermore, another advantageous embodiment of the cooking device according to the invention provides that the housing is designed as a multi-part housing, preferably that the housing, in a disassembled position of the cooking device, has a separate housing front frame and / or a separate mounting wall and / or a separate housing base and / or a separate housing top, and particularly preferably that the housing has at least one housing cover for cladding the housing. In this way, the manufacture of the cooking device according to the invention is significantly simplified. This applies in particular to the preferred embodiment of this embodiment. The particularly preferred embodiment of this embodiment also has the further advantage that, on the one hand, the aforementioned housing parts can be designed, manufactured, and joined together independently of any desired overall aesthetic appearance of the cooking device according to the invention.Furthermore, the housing cladding enables an overall aesthetic appearance of the cooking appliance according to the invention that is independent of the aforementioned housing parts.
[0022] An embodiment of the invention is shown schematically in the drawings and is described in more detail below. It shows: Figure 1 shows an embodiment of the cooking device according to the invention in a partial side view; Figure 2 shows the embodiment in a partial rear view; Figure 3 shows the embodiment in a partial detailed cross-section in the area of a mounting tab; Figure 4 shows the embodiment in a partial perspective detail view in the area of one of the mounting tabs; Figure 5 shows one of the mounting tabs of the embodiment in a partial close-up view, in a side view; Figure 6 shows a sectional view of a mounting wall.
[0023] In the Figs. 1 to 5An embodiment of the cooking device according to the invention is shown purely as an example.
[0024] The cooking appliance 2, designed as a household oven, comprises a housing 4 with a cooking appliance muffle 6 arranged in the housing 4 to form a cooking chamber (not shown), wherein the cooking appliance muffle 6 has two mounting tabs 8 for a positive-locking connection with a mounting wall 10 of the housing 4, and the respective positive-locking connection is formed by means of a muffle mounting element 14 engaging in a mounting hole 12 in the mounting wall 10 and in the respective mounting tab 8. Figs. 1 to 5 Only one of the two fastening tabs 8 is shown in each case, with these being located in the Figs. 1 to 5The mounting tab 8 shown also serves as an example for the mounting tab not shown. The same applies to its interaction with a different part of the cooking appliance muffle 6 and the mounting wall 10. Accordingly, the following explanations apply equally to both mounting tabs 8. The two mounting tabs 8 are identical in design.
[0025] According to the invention, a fastening hole 16 arranged in each of the fastening tabs 8 is each designed as an elongated hole, wherein a longitudinal axis of the elongated hole is oriented in a direction that differs from one in the plane of the image. Fig. 1 The front side of housing 4, shown on the left, points towards the side in the image plane. Fig. 1the depth dimension of the cooking appliance 2 extends to the mounting wall 10 shown on the right, and wherein the respective corresponding mounting holes 16, mounting holes 12 and muffle mounting elements 14 are designed such that the respective muffle mounting element 14 is positioned away from both ends of the elongated hole, i.e. the mounting hole 16, in the depth dimension in a non-use state of the cooking appliance 2 and in every use state of the cooking appliance 2.
[0026] The two mounting tabs 8 are each arranged on one side of the cooking appliance muffle 6, and the mounting wall 10 has correspondingly designed side tabs 18, wherein the side tabs 18 are each formed as a flange of the mounting wall 10 having a mounting hole 12, namely such that a groove 20 having a mounting hole 12 is formed in the respective flange of the mounting wall 10. The aforementioned sides of the cooking appliance muffle 6 extend in the Fig. 1 each parallel to the image plane, whereby in the Fig. 1 only one of the two sides of the cooking appliance skeptic 6, namely the one in the image plane of the Fig. 1 The lying side is visible. The other side of the cooking appliance 6 is located behind the image plane of the Fig. 1 . In the Fig. 2 The two sides of the cooking appliance muffle 6 are arranged on the left and right in the image plane.
[0027] In the present embodiment, the respective fastening tab 8 is materially bonded to a remaining portion of the cooking appliance muffle 6 by spot welding. See also, for example, the illustration in the Fig. 4 Points shown: 22.
[0028] The respective muffle fastening element 14 is designed here as a fastening screw, wherein, on the one hand, the respective fastening hole 12 in the mounting wall 10 is designed as a circular fastening hole corresponding to the outer diameter of a shaft of the respective muffle fastening element 14, and, on the other hand, the respective fastening hole 16 in the fastening tab 8 has a width of the elongated hole corresponding to the aforementioned outer diameter. Furthermore, the respective muffle fastening element 14 is designed for blind mounting, for example as a self-tapping sheet metal screw. Alternatively, other types of muffle fastening elements suitable for the respective individual case, such as fastening bolts, are of course also conceivable in principle. Rivets or the like are mentioned here as purely examples.
[0029] In addition to the mounting hole 16 formed therein, each mounting tab 8 has a plurality of further holes 24 for reducing heat conduction from the cooking appliance muffle 6 towards the mounting wall 10, wherein the further holes 24 are arranged at least partially along an axis perpendicular to the depth dimension. In other embodiments of the invention, it may also be provided that all further holes are arranged along the aforementioned axis.
[0030] For the purpose of stiffening the mounting tab 8, each mounting tab 8 has a raised edge 26, wherein the edge 26 does not abut the mounting wall 10 in an overlap area of the mounting tab 8 with the mounting wall 10. In other embodiments of the invention, however, it may be provided that the raised edge is at least partially arranged in an overlap area of the mounting tab with the mounting wall such that the mounting wall abuts the mounting tab only by means of the raised edge.
[0031] The cooking appliance 2, designed as a household oven, has a blower 30 arranged in the usual manner on a muffle rear wall 28 of the cooking appliance muffle 6. A total of three blower mounting elements 32, designed as mounting brackets, are designed to attach the blower motor 31 to the muffle rear wall 28 and the mounting wall 10. These mounting elements are coordinated such that the blower mounting elements 32 are positioned freely relative to the mounting wall 10 in both the non-use state and in every use state of the cooking appliance 2. For this purpose, corresponding holes 34 are arranged in the mounting wall 10, such that each of these holes 34 is designed as a cutout in the mounting wall. See in particular the Fig. 2 .
[0032] In the present embodiment, the cooking appliance muffle 6 is held in a form-fitting manner on the front of the housing 4 such that the cooking appliance muffle 6 is only attached to the housing 4 by means of an interaction of this holder with the aforementioned form-fitting connection of the cooking appliance muffle 6 with the mounting wall 10.
[0033] Furthermore, the housing 4 is designed here as a multi-part housing, wherein, in a disassembly position of the cooking appliance 2, the housing 4 has a housing front frame (not shown) and the mounting wall 10 as a separate mounting wall 10, a separate housing base 36, and a separate housing top 38. At the end of the manufacturing process of the cooking appliance 2, the housing 4 is covered by means of at least one housing cover (not shown).
[0034] The following describes the functioning of the cooking device according to the invention, as illustrated in the present embodiment: Figs. 1 to 5explained in more detail.
[0035] Initially, the cooking appliance 2 is in a disassembled state, which is not shown.
[0036] For the purpose of manufacturing the cooking appliance 2, the aforementioned components of the cooking appliance 2 are manufactured and joined together in a manner known to those skilled in the art. See also the relevant explanations in the introductory description.
[0037] After assembling these components, the cooking appliance 2 is located in the space formed by the Figs. 1 to 4visible assembly state. As explained above, the cooking appliance muffle 6 is held in a form-fitting manner on the front of the housing 4 such that the attachment of the cooking appliance muffle 6 to the housing 4 only occurs through the interaction of this holder with the aforementioned form-fitting connection of the cooking appliance muffle 6 to the mounting wall 10. The respective muffle fastening element 14 is positioned, both in the non-use state of the cooking appliance 2 and in every use state of the cooking appliance 2, at a distance from both ends of the elongated mounting hole 16 that limit its depth dimension.
[0038] In the aforementioned operating conditions of the cooking appliance 4, the cooking appliance muffle 6 heats up, causing it to expand and move relative to the housing 4. In the prior art, this can lead to undesirable mechanical stresses between the cooking appliance muffle and the housing, potentially impairing the proper functioning of the cooking appliance or even damaging the cooking appliance, i.e., the cooking appliance muffle and / or the housing. For example, an enameled cooking appliance muffle may experience undesirable flaking of the enamel. The invention, according to the present embodiment, provides a remedy for this problem.
[0039] Due to the inventive design of the cooking appliance 2, the cooking appliance muffle 6 can expand along the depth dimension of the cooking appliance 2 in every operating state without causing undesirable and detrimental mechanical stress between the cooking appliance muffle 6 on one side and the housing 4, namely the mounting wall 10, on the other. This is because the mounting holes 16, each designed as an elongated hole in the mounting tabs 8, allow the cooking appliance muffle 6 to float relative to the housing 4 along the depth dimension of the cooking appliance 2. Accordingly, the enamel chipping of an enamelled cooking appliance muffle described above, for example, is effectively prevented. The cooking chamber 6 of the cooking appliance 2 can therefore be sufficiently attached to the housing 4 along its depth dimension without impairing the proper function of the cooking appliance 2 according to the invention due to mechanical stresses, either in the non-use state or in any of the use states. Furthermore, the inherently undesirable heat conduction from the cooking chamber 6 towards the mounting wall 10 is greatly reduced by the design of the cooking appliance 2 described above, so that any associated undesirable heat dissipation from the cooking chamber 6 is effectively prevented. Accordingly, the cooking appliance 2 also achieves a higher energy efficiency compared to the prior art. This is particularly due to the fact that the mounting tabs 8 and the corresponding side tabs 18 are arranged laterally to the cooking chamber 6 and thus outside of an airflow (not shown) generated by the fan 30.
[0040] However, the invention is not limited to the present embodiment.
[0041] See the relevant explanations regarding the alternative or optional features of the invention in the introductory description as well as in the description of the specific embodiment.
[0042] Accordingly, the invention can also be advantageously applied to other types of cooking appliances. Furthermore, the mounting holes, additional holes, and the holes corresponding to the fan mounting elements in the mounting wall 10 can be freely selected within wide suitable limits with regard to type, manufacture, dimensions, and number. The same applies to the muffle mounting elements and the other connections mentioned above. Thus, the person skilled in the art can select the appropriate technical solution depending on the requirements of the specific case.
[0043] Figure 5Figure 1 shows the arrangement of the mounting wall 10 as part of the housing 4. The housing base 36 and the housing rear wall 37 are shown here. In the embodiment shown, the mounting wall 10 is arranged behind the cooking appliance muffle 6, specifically between the muffle rear wall 28 and the housing rear wall 37.
[0044] According to an embodiment of the invention not shown here, the rear housing wall 37 is designed as a mounting wall 10.
[0045] Analogous to the Figure 2 is in the sectional view of the Figure 6 It is clearly visible that a blower 30 is arranged on the rear wall 28 of the cooking appliance 2, which is designed as a household oven. A total of three blower mounting elements 32, designed as mounting brackets, are provided on the blower 30 for attaching the blower motor 31 to the blower 30 and thus to the rear wall 28 of the muffle.
[0046] In the embodiment shown, the blower motor 31 is arranged on a different side of the mounting wall 10 than the cooking appliance muffle 6.
[0047] The mounting wall 10 and the fan mounting elements 32 are designed to be compatible such that the fan mounting elements 32 are positioned freely relative to the mounting wall 10 in both the non-use state and in every use state of the cooking appliance 2. For this purpose, corresponding holes 34 are arranged in the mounting wall 10 for the fan mounting elements 32, such that each of these holes 34 is designed as a cutout in the mounting wall. See also the Fig. 2 .
[0048] One aspect is that, for example, one or more of the blower mounting elements 32 penetrates the corresponding hole 32 in the mounting wall 10. This makes mounting the blower motor 31 to the blower mounting elements 32 particularly easy.
