AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

Existing methods for selectively opening vehicle entrances are complex, time-consuming, and prone to errors due to the need for detailed movement trajectory determination, which affects reliability and user convenience.

Method used

The method employs a directional vector to predict the user's movement direction, extending it to determine if the user is approaching a vehicle entrance, allowing for simplified and reliable selective opening by intersecting the vector with trigger zones, thereby unlocking the corresponding entrance.

Benefits of technology

This approach simplifies the process, increases reliability, and enhances user comfort by automatically accounting for natural movement deviations, ensuring only the intended entrance is opened while others remain closed.

Abstract

The present invention relates to a method for the selective opening of at least access (2) of a vehicle (1) by means of an ID transmitter (3) that has an authorisation ID for the vehicle access. A simplified and more precise selective opening is achieved in that for at least one of the at least one accesses (2) of the vehicle, an associated trigger zone (100) on the vehicle (1) is specified and a vector (101) reproducing a movement direction of the ID transmitter (3) is determined, wherein an access (2) is opened if a straight line (102) that extends the vector (101) hits the trigger zone (100) associated with the access (2). The invention also relates to a computer program product designed to carry out the method.

Claims

Patent claims Method for selectively opening at least one access (2) of a vehicle (1) by means of an ID transmitter (3) which has an authorization ID for vehicle access, - wherein for at least one of the at least one access points (2) of the vehicle (1), an associated trigger zone (100) is specified in the region of a handle of the access point (2) on an outer shell (6) of the vehicle (1), - wherein a vector (101) representing a direction of movement of the ID Gerber (3) is determined, - wherein the vector (101) is extended by a straight line (102), - wherein an impact area (103) of the extended line (102) on the vehicle (1) is determined, - wherein, in the event of an overlap of the impact area (103) with at least one of the at least one trigger zone (100), the access (2) associated with the at least one trigger zone (100) is opened. Method according to claim 1, characterized in that it is recognized on the basis of the vector (101) whether the ID transmitter (3) is located near the Vehicle (1) approaches and the line (102) is only determined when the ID transmitter (3) approaches the vehicle (1). Method according to claim 2, characterized in that an angle (a) of the vector (101) relative to a direction extending transversely to the Z-axis (AZ) of the vehicle (1), in particular to the X-axis (AX) of the vehicle (1), and based on the angle (a) it is detected whether the ID transmitter (3) approaching the vehicle (1). Method according to claim 2 or 3, characterized in that the vector (101) is used to detect whether the ID transmitter (3) is moving away from at least one access (2), and at least the at least one access (2) is closed when the ID transmitter (3) is moving away from the at least one access (2). Method according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that - that the relative position (104) of the ID transmitter (3) to the vehicle (1) is regularly determined, - that the vector (101) is determined from the last relative positions (104). Method according to claim 5, characterized in that the vector (101) is determined by interpolating the last determined relative positions (104). Method according to claim 5 or 6, characterized in that the relative position (104) of the ID transmitter (3) to the vehicle (1) is determined using ultra-broadband. Method according to one of claims 1 to 7, characterized in that the overlap is determined by triangulation. Method according to one of claims 1 to 8, characterized in that at least one of the at least one access points (2) is opened if, in addition, a distance (106) between the tip (105) of the vector (101) and the associated trigger zone (100) falls below a predetermined threshold value (107). Method according to claim 9, characterized in that the threshold value (107) corresponds to a radius (108) emanating from a center point arranged on the outer shell (6) of the vehicle (1). Method according to one of claims 1 to 10, characterized in that - that the trigger zones (100) of two accesses (2) overlap in an overlap area (109), - that when the line (102) intersects the overlap region (109), both access points (2) are opened. Method according to one of claims 1 to 11, characterized in that the at least one trigger zone (100), the vector (101), and the line (102) are specified and determined only two-dimensionally in a plane extending transversely or inclined to the Z-axis (AZ), preferably transversely to the Z-axis (AZ), of the vehicle (1). A computer program product configured to carry out the method according to one of claims 1 to 12.
