Abstract
Description
[0001] The present invention relates to a preferably portable and transportable or mobile training device for gymnastic exercises, in particular pulling exercises against a particularly elastic resistance.
[0002] To train physical fitness and flexibility through gymnastic exercises, or for preventative or aftercare purposes, people visit fitness studios, clubs, or rehabilitation facilities. These are usually equipped with specialized stationary training equipment for performing a range of different gymnastic exercises to train specific body parts. Such specialized training equipment is expensive and not easily transportable, and therefore is usually only available at the respective facilities. Such training equipment is known, for example, from DE 6 938 234 U and US 2018 / 140 887 A1.
[0003] Also well known, particularly under the registered trademark "Theraband," are very simple, mobile aids such as elastic exercise bands ("gymnastic bands") or so-called loops, tubing, and power bands of various lengths, strengths, and elasticities, with and without handles, for performing gymnastic pulling exercises against elastic resistance. While these aids are relatively inexpensive and very mobile, they require a certain degree of skill and basic mobility during use. Numerous exercises also require the attachment of the aids to fixed anchor points, which are not always available in the required spatial location, strength, and structure.
[0004] To expand the exercise and training options available with these aids while seated, especially for older people and those with mobility impairments, there is a fitness device ("Gymstick Chair Gym") that is used in conjunction with a four-legged chair. Exercise bands can be attached to each leg of the chair via a shoe-like element. A series of muscle strengthening and mobility exercises using pulling exercises against the elastic resistance can be performed while sitting or standing with the chair equipped in this way. One disadvantage of this solution is the need for a suitable and stable chair. Furthermore, a chair typically has only one seat height, which significantly limits the number of possible exercises. Depending on the model, it is either not easy to transport or not sufficiently stable.
[0005] WO 2017 / 165 763 A1 discloses an exercise chair in the form of an office chair, which is equipped with button-like anchoring positions for elastic resistance bands at several positions on the side panels of a seat and backrest, as well as on the arms of a base frame. A disadvantage of this solution is that it is limited to seated exercises and the bulky, not easily transportable basic structure of the chair.
[0006] Aufgabe The invention is to provide a preferably portable and mobile training device for gymnastic exercises, in particular pulling exercises against a preferably elastic resistance, which is expanded with regard to the possible exercise variations while maintaining transportability.
[0007] To solve this problem, the invention proposes a training device for gymnastic exercises with the features of claim 1. Preferred embodiments are specified in the dependent claims.
[0008] The invention accordingly relates to a training device for gymnastic exercises, in particular pulling exercises against a particularly elastic resistance, with a seat frame comprising a base frame for resting on a standing surface and a seat frame which is or can be connected to the base frame via a plurality of struts in order to arrange the seat frame in a sitting position, preferably in at least two sitting positions arranged at different heights; stabilizers which are or can be attached to the base frame in order to project over the base frame in the manner of a cantilever and to selectively increase the size of the support area of the base frame; a seat plate which can be arranged optionally on the seat frame or on the stabilizers, so that a person standing or sitting on the seat plate arranged on the stabilizers loads the training device with their weight against the standing surface;and at least one fastening device, preferably a ring or an eyelet, for attaching an elastic aid for the pulling exercises to the seat frame and preferably at least one deflection on the seat frame for changing the pulling direction of the elastic aid for the pulling exercises attached to the seat frame.;
[0009] The training device enables numerous multifunctional exercises for strength training, conditioning training, fitness training, and coordination training, particularly based on pulling exercises against elastic resistance using familiar aids such as elastic exercise bands ("gymnastic bands") or loops, tubing, and power bands of various lengths, strengths, and elasticities, with or without handles, independent of other stationary or stable objects. It is suitable for both rehabilitation measures and mobilization training.
[0010] All exercises on or with the training device are based on movement sequences using your own body weight, the weight of the device, or, in particular, a flexible, force-differentiating traction device attached or attachable to the training device. In addition to seated pulling exercises, pulling exercises can also be performed reliably and safely while standing, because the entire body weight can be used to secure the training device to the base extended by the stabilizers.
[0011] The multifunctionality is achieved by the fact that the training device consists of only a few basic components, which can be customized to specific training needs using different levels of complexity. The pulling force of the traction devices can also be adjusted, preferably via different contact points on the device.
[0012] The training device is particularly characterized by its overall portability, as well as its compact, stable, and self-supporting design, allowing it to be disassembled and assembled anywhere within a small footprint. Due to its easy portability, the training device can be taken on vacation, to the office, on business trips, or even for home visits.
[0013] The attachment device enables the secure attachment of an external traction device in the known variants described above, thereby achieving a high degree of variability in terms of available force and traction configurations, possibly using handles or leg loops. The preferably provided deflection for the traction device serves as an aid for variable control of the traction force and direction.
[0014] Preferably, the struts are adjustable in length, in particular telescopic, and / or interchangeable with (similar) struts of a different length, allowing the seat frame to be positioned at different heights in at least two seating positions. This design allows the number of exercises to be significantly expanded in a simple manner and / or the training device to be adapted to different body sizes.
[0015] Preferably, the struts are connected to the base frame and the seat frame in a detachable, particularly pluggable, and preferably mechanically lockable manner. This allows the training device to be easily disassembled into its smaller basic components and stored and transported as a whole, for example, in a carrying bag, while still being safe to use in the assembled operating state thanks to the mechanical locks.
[0016] Preferably, the seat plate is connected to the seat frame and stabilizers in a detachable, mechanically lockable manner. This design also facilitates the disassembly and transportability of the training device while simultaneously increasing operational safety and stability.
[0017] Preferably, the at least one deflection device for the elastic aid, which can in particular be in the form of an elastic band, has a rotatably mounted roller, which (when the training device is set up on a base) is arranged at a height below the at least one fastening device. The deflection device expands the range of possible exercise variations with the traction device and serves as an aid for variable control of the pulling force and pulling direction, both when using the training device in a sitting and standing position. The use of a roller reduces the friction between the traction device / band and the deflection device and allows for more precise control of the pulling force.
[0018] Preferably, the training device includes several fastening devices, preferably in the form of rings or eyelets, and several deflections, preferably in the form of rotatable rollers, arranged symmetrically on the seat frame with respect to a sitting position. This symmetrical arrangement allows for even loading of both halves of the body around the midline.
[0019] Preferably, several fastening devices, preferably rings or eyelets, for traction devices are attached or attachable to the base frame and / or the seat frame at different positions, and several deflections are attached or attachable to the struts at different positions. This increases the number of variations for the gymnastic exercises with regard to the pulling directions and the possible usable traction devices, and provides defined, secure attachment points for the traction devices.
[0020] The base frame preferably has two receptacles spaced apart in a transverse direction, into each of which an elongated stabilizer can be inserted such that it can be moved perpendicular to the transverse direction in order to selectively project in a cantilever manner on opposite sides of the base frame. The receptacles enable the training device to be easily converted to different configurations and, thanks to the moveability of the cantilevered stabilizers, they also allow, for example, the training device to be arranged close to or directly in front of a wall in order to use this as a support or backrest when a person is sitting on the seat plate. For this positioning of the training device, the stabilizers can be moved so far towards the front that they no longer protrude at the back and collide with the wall.
[0021] The training device preferably comprises an elastic aid, particularly in the form of a band, which is detachably attached or attachable to the at least one fastening device, preferably a ring or eyelet, on the seat frame for the pulling exercises. In this configuration, the training device is immediately functional for exercises using one's own body weight, the weight of the device, and for pulling exercises.
[0022] The invention is explained below using a preferred embodiment with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which: Fig. 1 a perspective overall view of the training device according to the embodiment (without a traction device) in a basic assembly stage for use in a sitting position; Fig. 2 a front view of the training device of Fig. 1 ; Fig.3 a view from behind of the training device from Fig. 1 ; Fig.4 a side view of the training device from Fig. 1 ; Fig.5 a top view of the training device from Fig. 1 ; Fig.6 a view from below of the training device from Fig. 1 ; and Fig.7 a view of the training device from Fig. 1 in a construction stage in which the seat plate is arranged on the stabilizers.
[0023] The training device 1 for gymnastic exercises shown in the figures according to an exemplary embodiment of the invention consists of a few basic components that are assembled to form a stool-like seat frame. These basic components include a lower, self-supporting and dimensionally stable base frame 1.1 for stable, free-standing support on a standing surface / floor and an upper, self-supporting and dimensionally stable seat frame 1.2, which is connected or connectable to the base frame 1.1 via several vertical front and rear struts 2, 3 in order to arrange the seat frame 1.2 in a fixed and defined sitting position at a first height above the base frame 1.1.
[0024] The base frame 1.1 and the seat frame 1.2 are identical in terms of their rectangular frame shape and size when viewed from above. Connected to the four corners of each of these frames are four receiving sleeves 1.3 and 1.4, respectively. These sleeves are hollow in cross-section, at least in some areas. They protrude from the plane of the frame shape and allow the ends of the vertical front and rear struts 2, 3, which correspond in cross-section, to be inserted into the hollow cross-sectional area, thus securely connecting them to the base frame and the seat frame.
[0025] When assembled, the seat frame of the training device thus has a cuboid, angular basic shape with a greater transverse width than its depth and a height approximately corresponding to the width. Cross-sectionally identical square profiles, preferably made of metal, form the base frame, the seat frame, and the struts, and thus the edges of the cuboid basic shape. To enable the ends of the struts 2, 3 to be inserted into the hollow cross-sectional areas of the receiving sleeves 1.3, 1.4, the latter can be slightly compressed, drawn in, or narrowed in cross-section, even if they are made entirely of the same profiles as the latter. The base area of the base frame 1.1 is, for example, 0.25 m².
[0026] However, the profiles can also have different shapes from one another, deviating from the square cross-section, with a round or polygonal cross-section. The basic shape of the assembled seat frame is not limited to the cuboid shape shown, but can be cylindrical (round or oval, or in an organic shape when viewed from above). The base frame 1.1 and the seat frame 1.2 can also be formed, for example injection-molded, as separate but integral components, for example made of plastic, possibly with reinforcing inserts in the sections subject to particular stress. It is essential, however, that the seat frame has the necessary stability to support a removable seat plate 5 (hereinafter also referred to as the sitting / standing plate to clarify the possible uses) on the seat frame 1.2 to position at a desired seat height and to support the expected weight of a person while sitting and standing.
[0027] However, one advantage of using the same, stable metal profiles to manufacture the basic structural components is the reduction of raw materials to a few types and their general availability as semi-finished products of different dimensions and materiality, and the ability to produce them even in small series using well-known, simple metalworking processes (cutting to length, welding).
[0028] Three rings or eyelets (e.g., eyebolts or eyenuts) 7.1 are attached at intervals to the base frame 1.1 on the front side of the seat frame in the transverse direction on the upper side of a longitudinal profile so that they project upwards. Three rings or eyelets (e.g., also eyebolts) 7.2 are attached at intervals to the seat frame 1.2 on the rear side of a longitudinal profile in the transverse direction so that they project backwards in the depth direction. The rings or eyelets serve as fastening devices, to be described later, for attaching elastic aids for pulling exercises to the seat frame. Other forms of fastening devices can also be provided, with eyebolts or eyenuts being readily available as standard components. The fastening devices for attaching elastic aids for pulling exercises can also be provided in other positions and in different orientations from the arrangement shown.
[0029] The rear receiving sleeves 1.3 on the base frame 1.1 can have holes that can be used to lock the inserted struts using a mechanical safety connector, for example a plug-in or spring pin or bolt. The front sleeves 1.4 can have tension locks 8 instead of the holes, as shown here, which Fig. 4 are indicated and can engage with a locking hook in holes of a row of holes on the respective inserted struts 2 at different height positions. The tension locks and holes for mechanical safety connectors on the base frame are shown merely as examples of detachable mechanical connectors for fixing and securing the assembled state of two basic components and can be varied and provided on the base and / or the seat frame. As a further example of a detachable mechanical connector between the profiles, spring-loaded locking balls or clamping clips can be used, which are, for example, elastically fixed inside the struts 2, 3 and engage in holes or recesses in the receiving sleeves at a defined plug-in position. The arrangement of the components of such detachable mechanical locking connections can also be swapped between receiving sleeves and struts.A longitudinal screw connection between the struts and the base or seat frame is also conceivable. In this case, the receiving sleeves 1.3, 1.4 can be replaced by threaded bolts projecting perpendicularly from the plane of the base and seat frame, while matching nuts are fixed in the axial end sections of the struts.
[0030] Within the scope of the invention, a rigid and fixed or non-detachable connection of all or some of the basic components is also possible and envisaged, without the possibility of disassembly for the purpose of easier transport.
[0031] Preferably, the detachable connections of the basic components and the mechanical safety connectors are designed such that they can be used without additional aids, in particular without tools, for assembling or disassembling the training device.
[0032] To secure the training device against tipping movements, particularly in the transverse direction, stabilizers 4.1, 4.2 are attached or attachable to the base frame 1.1 in order to protrude over the base frame 1.1 in the manner of a cantilever and to selectively increase the size of the effective support area of the base frame 1.1. In the illustrated embodiment, the stabilizers 4.1, 4.2 are designed as elongated profiles, like the other profiles of the seat frame, with a square, but somewhat smaller cross-section. Such that they can be inserted into two square hollow profiles of the base frame 1.1, which are spaced apart in the transverse direction of the base frame and open at the ends and serve as receptacles 4.3 for the stabilizers 4.1, 4.2. They can be moved perpendicular to the transverse direction (i.e., in the direction of the depth of the seat frame) in order to selectively protrude on opposite sides of the base frame 1.1.This allows the stabilizers to absorb a tipping moment forwards or backwards.
[0033] In this way, the stabilizers 4.1, 4.2 can be adjusted continuously or in defined steps, depending on their function. Defined locking points (not shown) can be provided at several positions in the longitudinal direction, for example, in the form of spring-loaded locking balls or locking hooks on one of the stabilizers or the mounts, which releasably engage in corresponding holes on the other of the stabilizers or mounts.
[0034] In the described embodiment, the stabilizers 4.1, 4.2 are complementary to the inner cross-section of the lateral profiles of the base frame, which thus serve as the mounts 4.3. However, the mounts can also be attached to the base frame as separate elements. In particular, the cross-section of the stabilizers can also be different from the rectangular cross-section, provided that the mounts are complementary and enable displacement and attachment in the depth direction for the purpose of selectively enlarging the effective support area of the training device and the attachment of the seat / stand plate 5 to them as described below.
[0035] As indicated in the figures, open axial ends of the hollow profiles of the frame parts and / or the stabilizers can be closed by frame plugs in a manner known per se in order to improve aesthetics and avoid injuries.
[0036] The seat plate or seat / standing plate 5 is designed to be removable so that it can be mounted on the seat frame 1.2 (as shown in the Fig. 1 shown) or on the stabilizers 4.1,4.2 in a position projecting out of the supports 4.3 at the front or rear of the seat frame (as shown in Fig. 7 shown). In this arrangement on the stabilizers 4.1, 4.2, a person standing or sitting on the seat plate 5 loads the seat frame of the training device 1 with their weight against the standing surface and prevents the training device from tipping over, even if a tensile force is exerted on the traction devices attached to the seat frame, which are described below. In this position, a defined second sitting position is also created (in addition to the one in Fig. 1 shown sitting position) at a different height of the seat frame for gymnastic exercises while sitting.
[0037] The sitting / standing plate 5 can be formed from a solid or rigid and dimensionally stable base material 5.1 and a padded support 5.2, for example a foam plate, preferably removable, arranged thereon. The two can be firmly but detachably connected to each other, for example, via a type of hook-and-loop connection. This allows the padded support 5.2 to be replaced for cleaning or when it becomes worn.
[0038] The seat / standing plate 5 has semi-circular pockets or recesses 9 on both sides in the transverse direction to allow manual access to the frame above or below the seat / standing plate 5 (see Fig. 1 and 5 ). This allows further gymnastic exercises to be performed, especially without the use of traction equipment, based solely on physical strength and body weight.
[0039] At the Fig. 6Two securing rods 10 are attached to the rear and underside of the seat / standing plate 5, which are spaced apart in the depth direction and extend in the transverse direction. These securing rods are designed to releasably and mechanically fix the seat / standing plate 5 precisely and positively both in the transverse direction and in the depth direction between the profiles on the seat frame 1.2 and to prevent displacement in these directions. The securing rods 10 also fix the seat / standing plate 5 to the stabilizers 4.1, 4.2 in the transverse direction. In addition, guide pins 14 are attached to one side of the seat / standing plate 5, which engage in holes provided for this purpose when the seat / standing plate 5 is placed on the seat frame 1.2. Corresponding holes can also be provided in the stabilizers 4.1, 4.2 to fix the position of the seat / standing plate 5 in the depth direction as well.
[0040] The securing rods 10 and the guide pins 14 are an example of a detachable, mechanically lockable connection of the seat / standing plate 5 to the seat frame 1.2 and the stabilizers 4.1, 4.2. However, other or additional mechanical locking devices can also be used for this purpose.
[0041] The training device preferably further comprises at least one deflection device 6.1, 6.2 on the seat frame for changing the pulling direction of the elastic aid / device attached to the seat frame for the pulling exercises. In the embodiment shown, the deflections device 6.1, 6.2 for the elastic aid, which may in particular be in the form of an elastic band, each comprise a rotatably mounted roller, which is attached to the seat frame at a height between the fastening devices 7.1, 7.2, i.e., below or above the respective fastening devices 7.1, 7.2, in the form of rings / eyelets in different orientations and preferably symmetrically in the transverse direction, i.e., symmetrically with respect to a sitting position.
[0042] In this specific example, two rollers 6.1, 6.2 are each mounted on the front struts 2, offset by 90 degrees, so that they can guide the traction mechanism in the transverse and depth directions and deflect it in the vertical direction. However, additional rollers and / or other deflection mechanisms can also be arranged at other positions on the seat frame.
[0043] The struts 2, 3 for connecting the base frame 1.1 to the seat frame 1.2 are preferably adjustable in length, in particular telescopic, and / or interchangeable with struts of a different length that are similar to the connection to the base and seat frames, in order to arrange the seat frame 1.2 at different heights in at least two seating positions. The alternative struts of a shorter length can essentially be reduced to connector profiles (not shown) that are connected to the receiving sleeves 1.3, 1.4 of the two frames 1.1, 1.2, connecting them to one another at the smallest possible distance and without any deflections.
[0044] If the receiving sleeves 1.3, 1.4 are designed to complement each other, they can also be connected directly to each other without an additional connector if the struts (which can then also be designed to complement the receiving sleeves 1.3, 1.4 at their ends) are removed.
[0045] Although the training device according to the invention can be used solely for performing gymnastic exercises without any further aids, it is specially equipped to be used together with a preferably elastic aid which can be detachably attached to the fastening devices 7.1, 7.2 and the deflections 6.1, 6.2 and the seat plate 5 which can be exchanged between the arrangement on the base frame and on the stabilizers for the pulling exercises on the seat frame at the fastening devices 7.1, 7.2.
[0046] The detachable attachment of such elastic aids or traction means, which may in particular be in the form of one or more elastic bands or stretchable springs ("expanders"), to the rings or eyelets is achieved easily, quickly and safely, for example by means of a hook means, for example in the form of a snap hook.
[0047] The use of external traction devices and multiple fastening devices at different positions and orientations on the seat frame enables a high degree of variability by means of various traction arrangements or different elasticity modules, if necessary using handles or leg loops.
