Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to a prefabricated building element comprising a window reveal or a window frame.
[0002] Prefabricated building elements are components that are manufactured in advance rather than directly on site. Prefabricated building elements are produced in factories or workshops and then transported to the construction site for assembly or installation. This can shorten construction time and increase efficiency. One example is a prefabricated wall that has a window reveal. However, there are also window reveals that are prefabricated building elements. Such window reveals can - like the walls mentioned above - be made of wood, concrete, steel, or composite materials. Window reveals that are manufactured as prefabricated building elements can also be made of Styrofoam or plastic. Such window reveals are produced in standardized sizes and shapes to facilitate installation. The use of such prefabricated building elements can save time and labor costs in construction projects.Because walls, for example, already contain many necessary components, including window reveals, construction processes can be accelerated and simplified.
[0003] In addition to the window reveals themselves and the walls that contain them, windows are also prefabricated building elements. Windows have a window frame, which is first installed in a window reveal. The window element containing the glazing, usually a window sash, is then mounted to the window frame.
[0004] WO 2009 / 132907 A1 discloses a window frame in which a sealing strip made of an elastic, optionally delayed-recovery foam is pre-mounted on the outside. The foam is held in compressed form on the window frame by means of a holding part, wherein the pre-compression can be released by destructive action on the holding part, which is arranged elastically pre-tensioned in its direction of extension or consists of a brittle material. The disadvantage of this design is that the holding part must be destroyed to release the sealing strip. Depending on the type of destruction, the sealing strip may be damaged. Reuse of the holding part is impossible. In addition, the construction site is contaminated by the fragments flying around when the holding part is destroyed, so that time-consuming cleanup follows the destruction.Furthermore, fragments of the retaining part may disadvantageously remain in the joint and under the retaining part's counter-holders described in WO 2009 / 132907 A1 after the sealing tape has expanded, which can impair the function of the sealing tape. In particular, mold formation on the remaining fragments cannot be ruled out if the retaining part is made of a biodegradable material, as provided for in WO 2009 / 132907 A1.
[0005] Based on this prior art, the invention is based on the object of improving the degree of prefabrication of prefabricated building elements comprising a window reveal or a window frame.
[0006] This object is achieved by a prefabricated component having the features of claim 1. Further developments and advantageous embodiments of the invention emerge from the subclaims.
[0007] The prefabricated building element according to the invention comprises a window reveal or a window frame, wherein a preferably circumferential joint sealing strip held in a compressed state by means of at least one holding means is provided on the inner circumference of the window reveal, or wherein a preferably circumferential joint sealing strip held in a compressed state by means of at least one holding means is provided on the outer circumference of the window frame, wherein the holding means can be removed non-destructively at a predetermined time during the installation process of a window frame in the window reveal or during the installation process of the window frame in a window reveal in order to release the joint sealing strip.
[0008] This allows prefabricated building elements that have a window reveal or window frame to achieve a higher degree of prefabrication. This is particularly important for prefabricated buildings. The retaining element keeps the joint sealing tape compressed in the window reveal before the actual installation of the window frame.
[0009] The invention also eliminates the need for a specially trained specialist, which was previously required to correctly and precisely connect and position the joint sealing tapes on-site, i.e., at the construction site. Due to the non-destructive removal of the retaining element, there is no risk of the joint sealing tape being negatively affected while still in its compressed state. The work can be carried out quickly and easily, thus reducing labor costs.
[0010] Since the conditions in a factory or workshop are typically much better than on a construction site, there's no risk of sealing errors when applying the joint sealing tape. For example, the surface to which the joint sealing tape is applied can be kept cleaner in a factory or workshop than on a construction site.
[0011] It has proven particularly advantageous if the prefabricated building element according to the invention is one that has a window reveal. Since such a prefabricated building element is moved very little on site, error-free installation of the window is more likely than with a prefabricated building element according to the invention that includes a window frame. Such a window frame is moved more frequently on site during assembly, making damage to the joint sealing tape more likely.
[0012] The prefabricated building elements according to the invention can save costs, avoid errors, and reduce the working hours of fitters on site. Furthermore, the quality of the seal is improved because no sealing errors occur when connecting the joint sealing strips to the window reveal or window frame. Since the conditions, such as the working environment, in the factory or workshop are significantly better than on the construction site, the time required for assembly can also be monitored, controlled, and reduced. Quality control is also much easier to carry out in a factory or workshop than on a construction site. The use of the prefabricated building elements according to the invention on site and the associated installation of the windows on site is less demanding, meaning that the windows can be installed by less trained personnel.
[0013] Suitable joint sealing tapes are generally known to those skilled in the art. They comprise a resilient foam, preferably impregnated for delayed recovery, and are inserted into a joint in a compressed state to reset and seal the joint. According to the invention, the term "joint sealing tapes" also includes so-called multifunctional tapes. The guideline RAL-GZ 711 "Joint Sealing Components and Systems" describes joint sealing tapes and multifunctional tapes that can be used according to the invention.
[0014] Joint sealing tapes are made of foam, usually laminated with a one-sided self-adhesive film. The foam is usually pre-compressed and impregnated for delayed recovery. The material typically used is a flexible polyurethane foam. Characteristic features of such joint sealing tapes are their wind- and driving rain-tight, yet vapor-permeable sealing, their UV resistance, and their durability. Multifunctional tapes are also made of foam, usually laminated with a one-sided self-adhesive film. The foam can be pre-compressed or impregnated for delayed recovery, among other things. The material typically used is a flexible polyurethane foam. Characteristic features of multifunctional tapes are their air- and driving rain-tight, yet thermally insulating properties.Other characteristics of multifunctional tapes include their vapor-permeable sealing properties based on the principle of "tighter on the inside than on the outside," UV resistance, and durability.
[0015] It can be advantageous to provide positioning means that hold the holding means in a predetermined position. This ensures that the joint sealing tape of the prefabricated building element, in its compressed state, is transported safely from the place of manufacture, in particular from a factory or workshop, to the construction site. In certain cases, the positioning means can be designed such that they remain in the prefabricated component after the holding means have been removed. In other cases, the positioning means can be designed such that they have to be removed in order to enable non-destructive removal of the holding means. The positioning means are preferably separate means, i.e. means that are not part of the holding means, not part of the window reveal and / or not part of the window frame. If the positioning devices are designed in such a way that they have to be removed, it may be advantageous if they are reusable.
[0016] It can be advantageous if the holding means comprises a strip which at least predominantly covers or even covers the joint sealing tape provided in a compressed state on the window reveal or the window frame, and which can be held in a predetermined position by means of suitable positioning means. A strip is understood in particular to be an elongated, flat and usually rectangular component. The width of the strip is selected at least such that the joint sealing tape is held completely in the compressed state. It can therefore be useful if the strip protrudes beyond the width of the joint sealing tape in the compressed state. The strip itself can have a smooth surface. To save weight, however, the strip can also have recesses, as long as the joint sealing tape is held in the desired compressed state.Furthermore, the bar can advantageously have stiffening ribs in order to make the bar as flat as possible with low weight and still ensure the required stiffness and strength.
[0017] It can be advantageous if parts of a click-in system, in which a window frame is clicked into a window reveal, can be used as positioning means, wherein the click-in system has components arranged on the window reveal on one side and components arranged on the window frame on the other side, which are coordinated with one another and interlock to create a connection, wherein either the components provided on one side or the components provided on the other side can be used as positioning means.
[0018] This ensures that no additional components are required as positioning means, but rather uses those components that are already required or available for the click-in system. According to the invention, the aforementioned components are attached to the window reveal after the joint sealing tape has been connected to the window reveal of the prefabricated building element, or to the window frame after the joint sealing tape has been connected to the window frame of the prefabricated building element. Typically, the components penetrate the joint sealing tape at the attachment points. The non-destructively removable retaining means, preferably a strip, is arranged between the compressed joint sealing tape and the components during or after the retaining means are attached.
[0019] Click-in systems are known, for example, from WO2016 / 175691 A1.
[0020] It can be advantageous if the components arranged on one side of the window reveal are screws which are screwed into the window reveal at predetermined locations to a predetermined depth through the compressed joint sealing tape previously connected to the window reveal, wherein the strip has longitudinal slots open on one side, such that the strip can be arranged between the joint sealing tape and the screw heads of the screws to cover the joint sealing tape and to hold it in a compressed state, wherein the shaft of the screws is guided through the longitudinal slots and the screw head rests on the strip.
[0021] Since the compressed joint sealing tape tends to expand, the strip is clamped between the joint sealing tape and the screw head. The joint sealing tape is held in a compressed state. To remove the retaining device, it is removed after the components of the window frame have been clicked into the components (in this case screws) of the window reveal by pulling the retaining device sideways out of the joint. The screws slide into place, remaining in position, from the longitudinal slots. After the retaining device has been non-destructively removed, the joint sealing tape is released and expands in the joint. A huge advantage of using a strip is that the strip protects the joint sealing tape from damage when the window frame is clicked into the window reveal. The component of the click-in system provided on the window frame does not come into contact with the joint sealing tape when it is clicked in.It is not possible to damage or shift the joint sealing tape.
[0022] It can be advantageous if the positioning device is a clamp. Such a positioning device is advantageously removable without causing damage and reusable.
[0023] It may be advantageous if the positioning means is a clamping element, preferably a spring clamp, with the spring clamp preferably having a predetermined clamping force. This allows the holding means to be securely held in position. Such a positioning means is advantageously removable without causing damage and reusable.
[0024] It can be advantageous if the positioning device is a clamp or screw clamp, with a predetermined clamping force preferably adjustable via a screw. This allows the holding device to be securely held in position. Such a positioning device is advantageously removable without causing damage and reusable.
[0025] It can be advantageous if the positioning device is adhesive tape. This is a particularly cost-effective alternative for holding the holding device in position.
[0026] It may be advantageous if the positioning means is a Velcro fastener or a cable tie, whereby the cable tie can preferably only be tightened up to a predetermined point.
[0027] It may be advantageous if the holding means has one or more elements, preferably connected in one piece, with which the holding means can be clipped onto the window frame, or if the positioning means are designed as clips in such a way that the holding means can be clipped onto the window frame with or by means of these.
[0028] It may be advantageous if the positioning means are designed as holders fastened to the outer circumference of the window frame, preferably in undercuts of the window frame, preferably as screwless, in particular by clamping or clipping, holders to which the holding means can be detachably fastened.
[0029] It may be advantageous if the holders are designed with a tubular extension, wherein the tubular extension penetrates the joint sealing strip in a compressed state and coincides with a bore of the holding means arranged on the joint sealing strip, such that a pin having a shaft and a head, preferably a plastic pin, as part of the positioning means, can be inserted with the preferably grooved shaft through the bore of the holding means into the tubular extension, such that the holding means is clamped between the head of the pin and the tubular extension and holds the joint sealing strip in the compressed state. The grooves of the shaft ensure improved adhesion between the shaft and thus the pin and the inner wall of the tubular extension and thus the holder.
[0030] It may be advantageous if the holding means consists of a material which has such high strength and high rigidity that the contact pressure of the joint sealing tape held in a compressed state does not deform the holding material.
[0031] It may be advantageous if the holding means consists of metal, preferably of aluminum or steel, of a composite material or plastic, preferably of polyethylene or HDPE, of a polycarbonate or PC, of a polymer blend of polycarbonate or PC and acrylonitrile butadiene styrene or ABS or of a polyvinyl chloride or PVC.
[0032] As already noted above, it may be advantageous if the retaining means comprises stiffening elements, preferably longitudinally extending struts, ribs, and / or recesses, for example, narrow longitudinal grooves. This makes it possible to design the retaining means, in particular the aforementioned strip, in a weight-saving manner.
[0033] It may be advantageous if the holding means has a handling element, for example a grooved surface, a recess and / or a projection, for example in the form of a web or at least a projecting edge, which can be easily gripped by hand or a tool.
[0034] It can be advantageous if a separating layer, which facilitates the removal of the holding means, is provided between the joint sealing tape held in the compressed state and the holding means, preferably a paper or a film which is siliconized on at least one side, which is also removable after the removal of the holding means, and / or that the holding means itself consists of a material which facilitates the removal of the holding means, preferably a material with a highly porous surface, or has a coating which facilitates the removal of the holding means, preferably a non-stick coating, silicone coating or wax coating.
[0035] Further advantageous embodiments of the invention will become apparent from the drawings in conjunction with their description, wherein the invention is explained below with reference to exemplary embodiments illustrated in the drawings. In these: Fig. 1 schematically shows in plan view a section of a prefabricated building element comprising a window reveal on which a joint sealing tape is held in a compressed state by means of a holding means in the form of a strip, wherein the strip remains in position by means of positioning means in the form of screws which are arranged in longitudinal slots open on one side of the strip and are screwed through the joint sealing tape, , Fig. 2 schematically shows in cross section a section of a prefabricated building element according to Fig. 1 , Fig. 3 schematically shows in longitudinal section a section of a prefabricated component according to Fig. 1 , Fig. 4 schematically shows in longitudinal section a section of a prefabricated building element comprising a window reveal on which a joint sealing strip is held in a compressed state by means of a holding means in the form of a strip, wherein the strip remains in position by means of a positioning means in the form of a tensioning element which tensions the strip against the joint sealing strip, , Fig. 5 schematically shows in cross section a section of a prefabricated building element according to Fig. 4 , Fig. 6 schematically shows in cross section a section of a prefabricated building element comprising a window frame on which a joint sealing strip is held in a compressed state by means of a holding means in the form of a strip, wherein the strip remains in position by means of positioning means in the form of screws which are arranged in longitudinal slots open on one side of the strip and are screwed through the joint sealing strip, , Fig. 7 schematically shows in plan view a section of a prefabricated building element according to Fig. 6 , Fig. 8 schematically shows in cross section a section of a prefabricated building element comprising a window frame on which a joint sealing strip is held in a compressed state by means of a holding means in the form of a strip, wherein the strip remains in position by means of positioning means in the form of a tensioning element which tensions the strip against the joint sealing strip, , Fig. 9 schematically shows in plan view a section of a prefabricated building element according to Fig. 8 , Fig. 10 schematically shows in cross section a section of a prefabricated building element comprising a window frame on which a joint sealing strip is held in a compressed state by means of a holding means in the form of a strip, wherein the strip is tensioned against the joint sealing strip and remains in position by means of positioning means in the form of clips, each of which engages with one end on the holding element and with the other end on the window frame, and Fig. 11 schematically shows in cross section a section of a prefabricated building element comprising a window frame on which a joint sealing strip is held in a compressed state by means of a holding means in the form of a strip, wherein the strip presses against the joint sealing strip and remains in position by means of positioning means in the form of holders arranged on the outer circumference of the window frame, to which the strip is fastened without screws.
[0036] The drawings illustrate and explain the features essential to understanding the invention. Where the same reference numerals are used in the figures, they indicate the same parts.
[0037] Fig. 1-3 show schematically, in various views, a section of a prefabricated building element 10 comprising a window reveal 12, on which a joint sealing strip 16 is held in a compressed state by means of a retaining means 14 in the form of a strip. The retaining means 14 is held in position by means of positioning means 18 in the form of screws. These screws are screwed through the joint sealing strip 16 and are located in longitudinal slots 20 in the strip that are open on one side. The joint sealing strip 16, in the compressed state, tends to expand and presses the retaining means 14 against the underside of the screw heads, whereby the retaining means 14 is virtually clamped. Fig. 1 shows a section of the prefabricated building element 10, which comprises a window reveal 12, wherein the circumferential joint sealing strip 16 is provided on the inner circumference of the window reveal 12 and is held in a compressed state by at least one holding means 14. The present holding means 14 is in the form of a strip with longitudinal slots 20 and is designed such that it can be removed without damage at a predetermined time during the installation process of a window frame in the window reveal 12. For this purpose, the holding means 14 is laterally, according to Fig. 1 to the left, out of the joint located between the window frame and the window reveal 12, whereby the positioning means 18, i.e. the screws, remain in their position and slide out of the longitudinal slots 18 which are open on one side.
[0038] The holding means 14, i.e. the strip, previously covers the joint sealing strip 16, which is in a compressed state on the window reveal 12, over the entire width, protrudes in this case - as can be seen in Fig. 2 can be seen - even beyond the joint sealing tape 16 in order to keep the joint sealing tape 16 completely in a compressed state.
[0039] Preferably, the screws present as positioning means 18 are parts of a click-in system, in which the window frame is clicked into the window reveal 12. The screws serve on the one hand as spacers and determine the exact distance between the window frame and the window reveal 12 and on the other hand as a permanent fastening means for the window frame. The screws form one part of the click-in system. The other part is formed by clips located on the outer circumference of the window frame, with screws and clips being matched to one another and interlocking to create a connection. When the screws are clipped or clicked into the clips, i.e. when the window frame is inserted into the window reveal 12, the holding means 14, i.e. the strip, serves as protection for the joint sealing strip 12. The strip is clipped or clicked in.The clip is pressed against the compressed joint sealing strip 12 so that the screw head clicks into the clip. The clip thus does not come into contact with the joint sealing strip 16, preventing it from being damaged or displaced. After the non-destructive removal of the retaining device, the released joint sealing strip 16 expands and adheres to the outer perimeter of the window frame.
[0040] The retaining means 14 is preferably made of a material that has such high strength and rigidity that the contact pressure of the joint sealing strip 16 held in a compressed state does not deform the retaining means 14. The retaining means 14 is preferably reusable.
[0041] Between the joint sealing tape 16, which is held in a compressed state, and the retaining means 14, a separating layer (not shown here) in the form of siliconized paper is advantageously provided, which facilitates the removal or lateral withdrawal of the retaining means 14. This is particularly useful if the joint sealing tape is impregnated, among other things, for delayed recovery, which gives it a certain stickiness. After removing the retaining means 14, the separating layer is also removed by peeling it off the joint sealing tape 16. If the separating layer is bonded to the retaining means 14, this further step is advantageously omitted.
[0042] In order to facilitate removal or withdrawal of the holding means 14, it may also be advantageous if the holding means 14 has a handling element, for example a grooved surface, a recess and / or a projection, for example in the form of a web or at least a projecting edge 22, which can be easily gripped by hand.
[0043] In order to save weight and to ensure that the holding means 14, which is designed as a strip in the present case, still has the required rigidity, stiffening elements 34 in the form of struts running in the longitudinal direction are advantageously provided.
[0044] Fig. 4 und 5 show schematically in various views a section of a prefabricated building element 10, which comprises a window reveal 12, on which a joint sealing strip 16 is held in a compressed state by means of a holding means 14 in the form of a strip. The strip is held in position by means of a positioning means 18 in the form of a tensioning element, which tensions the strip against the joint sealing strip 16. In contrast to the Fig. 1-3 In the embodiment shown, the tensioning element is removed shortly before the window frame is installed in the window reveal 12. This also releases the strip, which can then be removed without damage. Both the strip and the tensioning element are reusable. After the compressed joint sealing tape has been released, it expands, preferably with a delay due to impregnation. Meanwhile, the window frame is installed in the window reveal in the conventional manner. Since the positioning means 18 is completely removed, longitudinal slots in the strip - as in the Fig. 1-3 shown - can be omitted.
[0045] Fig. 6 and 7show schematically in various views a section of a prefabricated building element 10, which comprises a window frame 13, on which a joint sealing strip 16 is held in a compressed state by means of a holding means 14 in the form of a strip. The holding means 14 is held in position by means of positioning means 18 in the form of screws. These screws are screwed through the joint sealing strip 16 into the window frame 13 and are located in longitudinal slots 20 of the strip that are open on one side. The joint sealing strip 16, in the compressed state, tends to expand and presses the holding means 14 against the underside of the screw heads, whereby the holding means 14 is virtually clamped. Fig. 6 and 7show a section of the prefabricated building element 10, which comprises a window frame 13, wherein the peripheral joint sealing strip 16 is provided on the outer circumference of the window frame 13 and is held in a compressed state by at least one holding means 14. The present holding means 14 is in the form of a strip with longitudinal slots 20 and is designed such that it can be removed without damage at a predetermined time during the installation process of the window frame 13 in a window reveal. For this purpose, the holding means 14 is laterally, according to Fig. 7 to the left, out of the joint located between the window frame 13 and the window reveal, whereby the positioning means 18, i.e. the screws, remain in their position and virtually slide out of the longitudinal slots 18 open on one side. Since the screws do not interfere, they can remain in the window frame 13. If necessary, the joint sealing tape 16 is cut in the area of the screws to ensure improved expansion of the joint sealing tape 16 in the area of the screws.
[0046] The holding means 14, i.e. the strip, previously covers the joint sealing strip 16, which is in a compressed state on the window frame 13, over the entire width, protrudes in this case - as can be seen in Fig. 6 can be seen - even beyond the joint sealing tape 16, in order to keep the joint sealing tape 16 completely compressed. After the non-destructive removal of the holding means 14, the released joint sealing tape 16 expands and adheres to the inner perimeter of the window reveal.
[0047] The retaining means 14 is preferably made of a material that has such high strength and rigidity that the contact pressure of the joint sealing strip 16 held in a compressed state does not deform the retaining means 14. The retaining means 14 is preferably reusable.
[0048] Between the joint sealing tape 16, which is held in a compressed state, and the retaining means 14, a separating layer (not shown here) in the form of siliconized paper is advantageously provided, which facilitates the removal or lateral withdrawal of the retaining means 14.
[0049] In order to facilitate removal or withdrawal of the holding means 14, it may also be advantageous if the holding means 14 has a handling element, for example a grooved surface, a recess and / or a projection, for example in the form of a web or at least a projecting edge 22, which can be easily gripped by hand.
[0050] Fig. 8 and 9 show schematically in various views a section of a prefabricated building element 10, which comprises a window frame 13, on which a joint sealing strip 16 is held in a compressed state by means of a holding means 14 in the form of a strip. The strip is held in position by means of a positioning means 18 in the form of a tensioning element, in this case a spring clamp, with a predetermined clamping force, which tensions the strip against the joint sealing strip 16. In contrast to the Fig. 6 and 7In the embodiment shown, the tensioning element is removed shortly before the window frame is installed in the window reveal 12. This also releases the strip, which can then be removed without damage. Both the strip and the tensioning element are reusable. After the compressed joint sealing tape has been released, it expands, preferably with a delay due to impregnation. Meanwhile, the window frame 13 is installed in the window reveal in the conventional manner. Since the positioning means 18 is completely removed, longitudinal slots in the strip - as in the Fig. 6 and 7 shown - can be omitted.
[0051] Fig. 10 shows a schematic cross-sectional view of a section of a prefabricated building element 10 comprising a window frame 13, on which a joint sealing strip 16 is held in a compressed state by means of a holding means 14 in the form of a strip, wherein the strip is tensioned against the joint sealing strip 16 by means of positioning means 18 in the form of clips, each of which engages with one end on the holding element 14 and with the other end on the window frame 13. The strip is held in position by the clips and the joint sealing strip 16 is held in a compressed state. During or shortly before installation of the window frame 13, the clips can be easily removed, releasing the strip, which can then be removed without causing any damage. The joint sealing strip 16 then returns to its original position, as intended.
[0052] Fig. 11 shows schematically in cross-section a section of a prefabricated building element 10, which comprises a window frame 13, on which a joint sealing strip 16 is held in a compressed state by means of a holding means 14 in the form of a strip, wherein the strip remains in position by means of positioning means 18 in the form of holders 24 arranged on the outer circumference of the window frame 13, to which the strip is fastened without screws. The positioning means 18 are designed as holders 24 fastened on the outer circumference of the window frame 13 in undercuts of the window frame 13 as screwless clamping for positioning and fastening the holding means 14.
[0053] The brackets 24 are formed with a tubular extension 26, wherein the tubular extension 26 penetrates the joint sealing strip 16 in a compressed state and then coincides with a bore of the holding means 14 arranged on the joint sealing strip 16, so that a pin 32 having a shaft 28 and a head 30, preferably a plastic pin, as part of the positioning means 18 with the grooved shaft 28 is inserted through the bore of the holding means 14 into the tubular extension 26, so that the holding means 14 is clamped between the head 30 of the pin 32 and the tubular extension 26. During or shortly before installation of the window frame 13, the heads 30 of the pins 32 can be easily removed, for example by snapping or cutting off, so that the strip is released, which can then be removed non-destructively. The joint sealing tape 16 then returns to its original position. Bezugszeichenliste (is part of the description)
