Abstract

The invention relates to a cushion attachment (5) for a headboard (2) of a bed (1), comprising a substantially L-shaped cushion body (6) which forms a holding part (8) and a cushion part (9), and a cover (7) for the cushion body (6), wherein the cushion attachment (5) further comprises a fragrance bag (10) for receiving a fragrance carrier material, wherein the fragrance carrier material is preferably a sleep-promoting fragrance carrier material, in particular chamomile, lavender or stone pine, wherein a pocket (50) is present between the cover (7) and the cushion body (6), in which pocket the fragrance bag (10) can be arranged, wherein the cover (7) has an outer pocket wall (51) present in the region of the pocket (50) for releasing a fragrance of the fragrance carrier material to the outside.

Description

[0001] The invention relates to an upholstery attachment for a headboard of a bed, comprising a substantially L-shaped upholstery body forming a holding part and a upholstery part, and a cover for the upholstery body.

[0002] It's well known that good sleep is one of the most important factors for good health. It's also widely accepted that the sense of smell also influences sleep. For example, aromatherapy with certain scents can promote better sleep, make waking up easier in the morning, and even encourage more positive dreams.

[0003] Common methods for delivering fragrance to sleeping people in a room as aromatherapy include the indirect inhalation method, in which fragrances are mixed with air. Typically, fragrance-infused oil is heated in a diffuser unit to vaporize and then diffuse throughout the room. Heating is usually provided by heat sources such as candles or electric heaters. However, heat sources can be dangerous, especially for sleeping people, so such devices are usually turned off before going to bed.

If the cushion attachment 5 is viewed as a whole, the pockets 50 and the means for suspending are located on opposite sides of the cushion attachment 5. This also applies if the pockets 50 are arranged as shown in the Figures 6 , 8, 9, 10 The pocket 50 could also be designed as in Figure 7 In general, all the embodiments explained above are also Figure 11applicable. However, the cushion body 6 here does not comprise a holding part 8, but only the cushion part 7 and thus also has only the inner side I2, the outer side A2, and two opposite narrow sides, of which one narrow side S2 is present horizontally on the underside of the cushion body 6 in use, and the other is present horizontally on the upper side of the cushion body 6. The inner side I2 and the outer side A2 are each present vertically in use.

[0060] The rigid hooks H are designed to accommodate the headboard 2 between the upholstered part and an extension of the hook H, so that the headboard 2 is clamped between these two elements, preventing the upholstered part 5 from falling toward the mattress 4. One, two, or more hooks H could be provided. As an alternative to the rigid hooks H, one or more flexible straps could also be provided, by means of which the upholstered body is hung on the headboard 2.

Claims

1. Upholstery attachment (5) for a headboard (2) of a bed (1), comprising an upholstery body (6), a cover (7) for the upholstery body (6) and means for suspending the upholstery body (6) on the headboard (2), characterized in that the cushion attachment (5) further comprises a fragrance bag (10) for receiving a fragrance carrier material, wherein the fragrance carrier material is preferably a sleep-promoting fragrance carrier material, in particular chamomile, lavender or stone pine, wherein between the cover (7) and the cushion body (6) there is a pocket (50) in which the fragrance bag (10) can be arranged, wherein the cover (7) has a pocket outer wall (51) for releasing a fragrance of the fragrance carrier material to the outside.

2. Cushion attachment (5) according to claim 1, wherein the pocket outer wall (51) is arranged on a narrow side (S1, S2) of the cushion body (6) in the region of the cushion part (9).

3. Cushion attachment (5) according to claim 1, wherein the pocket outer wall (51) is arranged on an outer side (A1, A2) of the cushion body (6) in the region of the cushion part (7).

4. Cushion attachment (5) according to claim 3, wherein the pocket outer wall (51) occupies a maximum of 20% or a maximum of 10% of said outer side (A1, A2).

5. Cushion attachment (5) according to claim 1, wherein the cushion body (6) has a recess on an inner side (I1, I2) in the region of the cushion part (9) and the pocket outer wall (A1, A2) is arranged on an inner side (I1, I2) of the cushion body (6) in the region of the recess.

6. Cushion attachment (5) according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the pocket outer wall (51) is designed as a net.

7. Cushion attachment (5) according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the cover (7) in all areas outside the outer pocket wall (51) is made of a different material than on the outer pocket wall (51), preferably with an air-impermeable material such as artificial leather or real leather.

8. Cushion attachment (5) according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the cushion body (6) is manufactured as a one-piece foam part.

9. Cushion attachment (5) according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the pocket (50) is spaced from the pocket outer wall (51) and within the cushion part (9) there is at least one air distribution channel (53) which connects the pocket (50) to the pocket outer wall (51).

10. Cushion attachment (5) according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the fragrance bag (10) is designed to be openable and closable for changing the fragrance carrier material, preferably by means of a zipper.

11. Cushion attachment (5) according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the cover (7) has a pocket opening (52) via which the pocket (50) can be opened and closed for changing the fragrance bag (10), wherein the pocket opening (52) is preferably formed by a zipper.

12. Upholstery attachment (5) according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the means for suspending the upholstery body (6) on the head part (2) are formed in that the upholstery body (6) is substantially L-shaped and forms a holding part (8) and a upholstery part (9).

13. Cushion attachment (5) according to claim 12, further comprising at least one safety element, wherein the cushion part (9) and the safety element are provided on opposite sides of the holding part (8) in order to receive the head part (2) between the cushion part (9) and the safety element.

14. Upholstery attachment (5) according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the means for suspending the upholstery body (6) on the headboard (2) are formed by rigid hooks or flexible straps which are attached to an upper side of the upholstery body (6) or cover (7).

15. Bed (1) comprising a bed frame and an upholstered attachment (5) according to one of claims 1 to 14, wherein the bed frame comprises the headboard (2) which has an upper side (O) and a preferably flat front side (V), wherein the upholstered attachment (5) is fastened to the bed frame in such a way that the means for suspending the upholstered body (6) comes to lie on the upper side (O) of the headboard (2) and the upholstered body (6) or a upholstered part (9) of the upholstered body (6) comes to lie on a front side (V) of the headboard (2).
