Abstract
Description
[0001] The present invention relates to a manufacturing method for a block bottom bag and a block bottom bag.
[0002] Block-bottom bags are popular for packaging a wide variety of items, especially food. Block-bottom bags are popular due to their ease of production and effectiveness.
[0003] Block-bottom bags reach their limits, for example, when presenting greasy and hot foods. While greaseproof paper is generally well-known, a block-bottom bag made of greaseproof paper has significant disadvantages because, when sealed, water vapor accumulates inside. For example, foods that are meant to be crispy lose this important property over time.
[0004] Known block-bottom bags of the prior art also have potential for improvement in terms of product presentation. For example, if the goods are to be visible to potential customers, the goods are usually only placed into the bag from a counter or similar device when a customer actually orders the goods.
[0005] The object of the invention is therefore to expand the field of application of block bottom bags, in particular with regard to hot and greasy goods and / or the presentation of goods.
[0006] This object is achieved by a manufacturing method having the features of claim 1, wherein a sheet is perforated along a longitudinal direction in a first surface area, the sheet is punched along the longitudinal direction next to the first surface area in a second surface area, the sheet is partially provided with a transparent film overlapping the second surface area so that a viewing window is created in the second surface area, and the sheet is processed into a block bottom bag by folding and / or gluing.
[0007] With regard to the block bottom bag, the object is achieved by the features of claim 9 in that the block bottom bag has a sheet which is perforated in a first surface area and has a viewing window formed by a transparent film in a second surface area.
[0008] According to the invention, a viewing window allows the goods to be displayed inside the block-bottom bag while remaining visible to potential customers. This also works with hot and greasy goods, as the perforation, whose function is not hindered by the partially transparent film, allows water vapor to escape from the interior of the block-bottom bag. This effectively prevents unwanted condensation of water on the goods (sweating) or on the viewing window (fogging).
[0009] According to intensive tests by the applicant, preferred embodiments of block bottom bags according to the invention can withstand temperatures of +80°C to +85°C for 3 to 4 hours in the closed state and in the heated state and / or in the heated counter.
[0010] In particularly preferred embodiments, the sheet is processed as part of a sheet web in continuous production.
[0011] The perforation of the sheet can be done before or after the punching of the sheet, in terms of time and / or in the sense of continuous processing.
[0012] The partial application of the transparent film in the second surface area of the sheet can be done before or after the sheet is punched, both in terms of time and / or in terms of continuous processing.
[0013] It should be noted that, for the purposes of the invention, a surface area is understood to be a partial surface (truly two-dimensional) of the sheet. In the case of the first surface area, the individual holes in the first surface area can be evenly distributed or, for example, have different distributions in two different directions.
[0014] For the purposes of the invention, the fact that the sheet is provided with the transparent film over part of its surface and overlaps the second surface area can be understood to mean that the film does not extend over the entire surface of the sheet used to produce the block bottom bag. In other words, the transparent film has a smaller surface area than the sheet used to produce the block bottom bag. At the same time, the film should cover essentially the entire area of the cutout, so that the viewing window does not open the interior of the block bottom bag to the environment. Smaller openings created in this way, which only insignificantly influence the heat balance inside the block bottom bag, can nevertheless be provided.
[0015] The block bottom bag according to the invention can be used, for example, as packaging for grilled chicken, French fries, chicken wings and / or chicken nuggets.
[0016] The transparent film can be made of a plastic, for example. Oriented polypropylene (OPP) is particularly preferred. Alternatively, or in addition, a film based on cellulose acetate can be used.
[0017] Certain transparent papers can also be used.
[0018] The transparent film can optionally be provided with a so-called anti-fog coating (i.e. a coating to prevent condensate, especially water vapor condensate, on the film).
[0019] Block bottom bags are sometimes also called block bottom bags.
[0020] Preferred developments of the invention are defined in the dependent claims.
[0021] The first surface area can preferably be divided and preferably the second surface area can be arranged between partial areas of the first surface area, viewed transversely to the longitudinal direction.
[0022] A fiber material, in particular a greaseproof paper (e.g., "Kraft Greaseproof Paper," e.g., brown), can be used for the sheet, and / or the sheet can be laminated from multiple layers. At least one additional layer can also be laminated to the sheet at a later time, as long as the punching according to the invention in the second surface area and the perforation in the first surface area are not disrupted.
[0023] In other words, the sheet may contain a fiber material, in particular a greaseproof paper (e.g. "Kraft Greaseproof Paper", e.g. brown), and / or the sheet may consist of several laminated layers.
[0024] When laminating multiple layers, an adhesive or similar material can be applied between the layers, either over the entire surface or partially over the entire surface. By applying partial lamination, for example, by means of isolated bonding points, the amount of adhesive or similar material can be kept to a minimum, which can be advantageous from an environmental perspective. If maximum bond strength is desired, full-surface lamination can, of course, also be used.
[0025] The sheet can be part of a sheet web that is continuously processed along the lengthwise direction (i.e., as mentioned above, in continuous processing). The sheet can then be separated from the sheet web by a cutting operation and subsequently processed into a block-bottom bag.
[0026] In particularly preferred embodiments, the feed direction of the continuous processing corresponds to the longitudinal direction of the sheet.
[0027] The perforation in the first surface area can be created using at least one perforating roller. Optionally, a counterpressure roller can be provided, which generates counterpressure so that the perforation can be reliably introduced into the sheet. The counterpressure roller can also be designed to introduce part of the perforation.
[0028] Alternatively or additionally, the first surface area can also be perforated using a laser.
[0029] The sheet can be printed and / or provided with a primer for gluing, preferably before the first surface area is perforated and / or the sheet is punched in the second surface area (in terms of time and / or in terms of continuous processing).
[0030] The sheet can be provided with a creasing and / or a line perforation and / or an adhesive surface, preferably after the first surface area is perforated and / or the sheet is provided with the transparent film overlapping with the second surface area (in terms of time and / or in the sense of continuous processing).
[0031] The perforation can be a microperforation or a needling.
[0032] For example, individual holes in the perforation can have a diameter between 0.5 mm and 1.5 mm in the first surface area.
[0033] A cup can preferably be placed inside the block-bottom bag. This cup can be used to collect liquids that leak from the contents of the block-bottom bag.
[0034] Additionally (or alternatively) an absorbent pad can be provided.
[0035] An upper side of the block bottom bag according to the invention can be serrated to minimize the risk of injury from cutting on the sheet edge.
[0036] It may be provided: An adhesive label for easy closure (peel off the paper and fold twice; the bag is closed) and / or a groove for easy closure by folding over the top edge of the block-bottom bag and / or a label surface for easy placement of price labels (for example, conventional labels do not stick to greaseproof paper)
[0037] Further advantages and details of the invention are apparent from the figures and the accompanying description. These show: Fig. 1a to 1 schematically show individual steps of an embodiment of a manufacturing method according to the invention, Fig. 2 a flow chart for the manufacturing method according to the Fig. 1a bis 1i , Fig. 3a to 3h schematically show individual steps of a further embodiment of a manufacturing method according to the invention, and Fig. 4 shows a flow chart for the manufacturing method according to the Fig. 3a bis 3h .
[0038] In Fig. 1a In the process step shown, a sheet web 10 containing the sheets 2 is first processed along a longitudinal direction 3 in a manner known per se in continuous processing.
[0039] In Fig. 1a the sheet path 10 is provided with a print 16.
[0040] In Fig. 1b In the process step shown, the sheet web 10 - and thus of course also the sheets 2 - is provided with a perforation in the first surface area 4.
[0041] In this exemplary embodiment, the first surface area 4 is divided into two sub-areas 8, although more than two sub-areas 8 could naturally also be provided. Viewed transversely to the longitudinal direction 3, this division creates a perforation-free area between the sub-areas 8 of the first surface area 4.
[0042] In this perforation-free area, the viewing window 7 is subsequently manufactured. The second surface area 5 provided for this purpose is in Fig. 1b already identified.
[0043] Perforation according to Fig. 1b is done using a perforating roller 11 and a counter-pressure roller 17.
[0044] In Fig. 1c In the method step illustrated, a substantially rectangular part of the sheet 2 is punched out in the aforementioned second surface area 5 by means of a punching tool 18. It goes without saying that other punching shapes can also be used to realize other shapes of the viewing window 7.
[0045] Overlapping the second surface area 5, a transparent film 6 is applied to the sheet 2 and is attached there, for example by gluing, to the edge area of the second surface area 5, whereby the viewing window 7 is created in the sheet 2.
[0046] The transparent film 6 can be cut from a roll to the desired format of the viewing window 7.
[0047] The transparent film 6 can then be placed on the sheet using another roller or a handling robot.
[0048] According to the invention, the sheet 2 is partially covered with the transparent film 6, specifically in such a way that the perforation remains free in the first surface area 4. The function of the perforation is not impaired thereby.
[0049] Subsequently, the sheet 2 is separated from the sheet path 10 by one or more cutting operations in a manner known per se.
[0050] Then sheet 2 is folded and glued in a known manner to form a Figuren 1d bis 1f shown block bottom bag 1.
[0051] In Fig. 1g In the process step shown, the block bottom bag 1 is provided with a linear groove by means of a grooving tool 19, which facilitates the folding of the block bottom bag 1 at this point.
[0052] Please note that the block bottom bag 1 in Fig. 1g , 1h und 1i is shown from the back compared to the previous figures.
[0053] It is also shown that the sheet 2 is provided with a primer 12, wherein the primer 12 has the function of making the sheet 2 susceptible to an adhesive, for example for sticking on a label.
[0054] In Fig. 1h In the process step shown, the block-bottom bag 1 was provided with an adhesive surface 15. This adhesive surface 15 is further provided with a cover strip 20.
[0055] The finished block bottom bag 1 is in Fig. 1i It is, of course, conceivable to further modify the block-bottom bag 1. For example, additional printing or cutting could be performed. Furthermore, the block-bottom bag 1 can, of course, be filled.
[0056] The block bottom bag 1 according to the embodiment according to Fig. 1i For example, it can have the format 220 x 140 x 280 mm or the format 160 x 130 x 243 mm.
[0057] Fig. 2 shows a flow chart for the embodiment from the Fig. 1a bis 1i with process steps numbered 1 to 7. It should be noted that the chronological sequence and / or the sequence along the processing direction could, of course, be changed within the limits of what is physically possible. For example, punching could also be performed before perforating.
[0058] In Fig. 3a In the process step shown, a sheet web 10 containing the sheets 2 is first processed along a longitudinal direction 3 in a manner known per se in continuous processing.
[0059] In Fig. 3a the sheet path 10 is provided with a print 16.
[0060] In Fig. 3b In the process step shown, a further layer (in the picture from below) is laminated onto the sheet web 10, so that the entire laminate subsequently forms the sheet web 10.
[0061] In Fig. 3c In the method step illustrated, a substantially rectangular part of the sheet 2 is punched out in the aforementioned second surface area 5 by means of a punching tool 18. It goes without saying that other punching shapes can also be used to realize other shapes of the viewing window 7.
[0062] Overlapping the second surface area 5, a transparent film 6 is applied to the sheet 2 and is attached there, for example by gluing, to the edge area of the second surface area 5, whereby the viewing window 7 is created in the sheet 2.
[0063] The transparent film 6 can be cut from a roll to the desired format of the viewing window 7.
[0064] The transparent film 6 can then be placed on the sheet by means of another roller or a handling robot.
[0065] According to the invention, the sheet 2 is partially covered with the transparent film 6, specifically in such a way that the perforation remains free in the first surface area 4. The function of the perforation is not impaired thereby.
[0066] In Fig. 3d In the process step shown, the sheet web 10 - and thus of course also the sheets 2 - is provided with a perforation in the first surface area 4.
[0067] In this example the perforation is interrupted, see Fig. 3d , namely in the area that will later become the bottom of the bag. This is not provided for in the other embodiment, because a cup is used there.
[0068] The perforation can preferably be in the side fold of the bag, but can basically be placed anywhere on the bag - except of course on the viewing window.
[0069] In this exemplary embodiment, the first surface area 4 is divided into two sub-areas 8, although more than two sub-areas 8 could naturally also be provided. Viewed transversely to the longitudinal direction 3, this division creates a perforation-free area between the sub-areas 8 of the first surface area 4.
[0070] In this perforation-free area, the viewing window 7 is subsequently manufactured. The second surface area 5 provided for this purpose is in Fig. 1b already identified.
[0071] Perforation according to Fig. 3d is done using a perforating roller 11 and a counter-pressure roller 17.
[0072] Subsequently, the sheet 2 is separated from the sheet path 10 by one or more cutting operations in a manner known per se.
[0073] Then sheet 2 is folded and glued in a known manner to form a Figuren 3d and 3f shown block bottom bag 1.
[0074] In Fig. 3g In the process step shown, the block-bottom bag 1 is provided with a line perforation 14 by means of a line perforation tool 21, which facilitates folding of the block-bottom bag 1 at this point. The line perforation 14 could also be referred to as a tear-open perforation, through which the block-bottom bag 1 can be easily opened.
[0075] The line perforation or tear perforation can be set mechanically or by hand.
[0076] The finished block bottom bag 1 is in Fig. 3h It is, of course, conceivable to further modify the block-bottom bag 1. For example, additional printing or cutting could be performed. Furthermore, the block-bottom bag 1 can, of course, be filled.
[0077] The block bottom bag 1 according to the embodiment according to Fig. 3h For example, the format is 120 x 70 x 250 mm.
[0078] Fig. 4 shows a flow chart for the embodiment from the Fig. 1a bis 1i with process steps numbered 1 to 7. It should be noted that the chronological sequence and / or the sequence along the processing direction could, of course, also be changed within the limits of what is physically possible.
[0079] In the present embodiments, this involves a microperforation with very small individual holes that are not visible to the naked eye or are difficult to see. This means that the first surface area 4 is indicated symbolically in the figures.
[0080] There may be a distance between the first surface area 4 and the second surface area 5 (see Fig. 1d bis 1i and 3e bis 3h ) or the first surface area 4 can reach the second surface area 5 (see Fig. 1b and 3d ).
[0081] If a distance is provided between the first surface area 4 and the second surface area 5, this can be designed so that the perforation is only present in the area of the side fold of the block bottom bag 1. Legende to the reference numbers:
