Description

[0001] Storage goods carrier insert, storage goods carrier and storage rack

[0002] The invention relates to a load carrier insert for an automated storage rack, a load carrier, and an automated storage rack. The automated storage rack has a plurality of storage locations for the load carriers, which can be delivered to and removed from the storage locations by means of a transport device.

[0003] In automated storage racks, particularly vertical lifts, the storage carriers are delivered to or removed from the storage locations provided in the storage rack by means of the automated transport device. Such storage carriers are also referred to as containers or trays. The transport device is usually arranged between the spaced-apart storage towers of the storage rack and has an extractor for feeding and removing the storage carriers to and from the storage locations. An operator can remove or place goods stored on the storage carrier via the access opening. Such an automated storage rack is known, for example, from EP 1 934 120 A1 or EP 0722894 B1.

[0004] To subdivide storage carriers, they can also be equipped with partition walls. The provision of partition walls as such is known, for example, from DE 20 2018 107 171 U1.

[0005] In the case of storage carriers for automated storage racks, the partition walls are typically welded to the base of a storage carrier using spot welding pliers. However, manufacturing using spot welding pliers is associated with a high level of production complexity. Furthermore, due to the welding process, this production step is usually performed in the storage carrier's manufacturing plant. The finished storage carriers are then delivered fully assembled. The object of the invention is to create a storage carrier insert, a storage carrier, and a storage rack that can be assembled using a simple manufacturing process and easily transported.

[0006] This object is achieved by a storage goods carrier insert having the features of claim 1, a storage goods carrier according to claim 8 and a storage rack according to claim 11.

[0007] Advantageous embodiments are the subject of the dependent claims.

[0008] The storage goods carrier insert according to the invention for an automated storage rack, in particular a vertical lift, comprises a base plate and a side wall profile. At least one first coupling element is provided on the base plate. The side wall profile has a wall section and a base section connected to the wall section. At least one second coupling element is provided on the base section. The first coupling element and the second coupling element are detachably connected to one another. This allows the side wall profile to be fixed to the base plate when arranged in the storage goods carrier.

[0009] It is particularly advantageous that the storage carrier insert can be put together by hand and then inserted into the storage carrier. Furthermore, the storage carrier insert can also be put apart again after it has been removed from the storage carrier. The storage carrier insert according to the invention can therefore be assembled and disassembled on site at the customer's premises without the use of a welding device. The individual components of the storage carrier insert can be packaged and delivered separately. Furthermore, such storage carrier inserts can also be retrofitted to existing storage racks. The particular advantage of the separate packaging is that the transport volume for transport from the factory to the assembled storage rack is significantly reduced. A further advantage is that the components can be coated with an antistatic varnish.

[0010] The storage goods carrier has, in particular, a frame wall that borders a base of the storage goods carrier. The frame wall is raised relative to the base so that stored goods do not slip off the storage goods carrier. Likewise, the raised frame wall makes it possible to delimit the end of the side wall profile from the frame wall when arranged in the storage goods carrier. Delimiting means that the end of the side wall does not necessarily rest directly against the frame wall, but in one possible embodiment is spaced from the frame wall. For example, the end of the side wall profile can be delimited by an attachment that can be attached to the base plate.

[0011] The first coupling element and the second coupling element are understood to mean, for example, means that enable a detachable connection. A detachable connection is, for example, a plug connection, which in particular has a fastening lug and is described in more detail below.

[0012] The side wall profile serves, for example, to subdivide a storage area of the storage goods carrier. In a further embodiment, the side wall profile serves to support stored goods, for example, elongated stored goods, which are supported by the wall section. The base section is connected to the wall section. It is preferred that the base section and the wall section be formed as one piece. It is also advantageous that the base section is arranged at a right angle to the wall section.

[0013] The foot section advantageously rests flat on the base plate. This enables a stable and rigid attachment of the side wall profile.

[0014] Advantageously, the second coupling element comprises a recess. The first coupling element can have a fastening lug protruding from the base plate, which is designed to be guided through the recess and connected, in particular plugged, to the second coupling element. The first and second coupling elements thus configured form a detachable and, in particular, positive-locking connection.

[0015] The fastening lug has, in particular, a horizontal section arranged relative to the base plate and a vertical section. In the connected state, the horizontal section of the fastening lug projects beyond a portion of the foot section. The edge region of the recess preferably rests against a vertical section of the fastening lug. In this case, the fastening lug engages behind the edge region of the recess. In a further preferred embodiment, the horizontal section of the fastening lug is longer than a distance between the end of the side wall profile and the frame wall when the storage carrier insert is arranged in the storage carrier. Consequently, the side wall profile cannot become detached from the detachable connection when the storage carrier insert is arranged in the storage carrier.

[0016] Advantageously, the second coupling element has a plurality of spaced-apart fastening lugs. These fastening lugs prevent the sidewall profile from twisting and also further strengthen the fastening.

[0017] Advantageously, the fastening lugs assigned to a first sidewall profile have a first orientation, and the fastening lugs assigned to a second sidewall profile have a second orientation opposite the first orientation. The sidewall profiles are, in particular, spaced apart from one another and arranged parallel to one another. This opposite arrangement additionally fixes the base plate when arranged in the load carrier. Furthermore, the maximum permissible distance between the frame wall and the end of the sidewall profile, or the length of the horizontal section of the fastening lugs, is halved. A further advantageous effect is that the variance in the sidewall profile is reduced.

[0018] The wall section advantageously has a support area for supporting roll-shaped stored goods, such as SMD rolls. Two oppositely arranged side wall profiles are preferably provided for this purpose. The support areas of the two side wall profiles preferably protrude in opposite directions at an obtuse angle to the respective wall section. The roll-shaped stored goods can then rest on the support areas and are carried on the storage goods carrier. In a further alternative embodiment, the support area can also be designed to accommodate other types of attachment frames, which are suitable, for example, for carrying fabric rolls or other stored goods.

[0019] Advantageously, the sidewall profile has slots into which a divider can be inserted. This allows the storage area on a storage goods carrier to be further subdivided. The divider is, for example, a flat plate that forms an additional wall surface. The divider is arranged at a right angle to the wall section of the sidewall profile.

[0020] A further aspect of the invention relates to a storage goods carrier having a storage goods carrier insert as described above.

[0021] In one possible design of the storage carrier, the base of the storage carrier also forms the base plate of the storage carrier insert. However, in this case, the frame wall must be connected to the base of the storage carrier after the side wall profile has been connected. Since the storage carriers are usually pre-assembled, it is more practical for the storage carrier insert to be a separate unit from the storage carrier, as described above.

[0022] In an advantageous embodiment, the storage carrier has a base and a frame wall surrounding the base. The side wall profile, in particular the end of the side wall profile, is delimited by the frame wall when arranged in the storage carrier. This embodiment has the advantage that no additional attachments are required to fix the side wall profile to the base plate. The storage carrier insert thus advantageously consists of a base plate and at least one side wall profile.

[0023] In an advantageous embodiment, the width of the floor, the length of the base plate, and the length of the side wall profile are the same. This results in the storage carrier insert being flush with the storage carrier. In particular, the distance between the frame wall and the side wall profile is thus reduced to a minimum. Permissible manufacturing tolerances are preferably defined such that a distance between the frame wall of the storage carrier and the side wall profile is smaller than a length of the horizontal section of the fastening lug. A further aspect of the invention relates to a storage rack comprising at least one storage carrier insert or a storage carrier as described above.

[0024] The invention is explained in more detail below using advantageous embodiments, which are schematically illustrated in the drawings. The combinations of features shown as examples in the embodiments can be supplemented or reduced by additional features depending on the specific application, if these can be omitted for the respective application. [0033] Fig. 9 shows a cross section along the line BB of Fig. 2.

[0034] Fig. 1 shows the schematic structure of an automatic storage rack 100 designed as a vertical lift. The storage rack 100 has a first rack tower 108, a second rack tower 110, and a transport shaft 112 for an automatic transport device 104 arranged between the two rack towers 108, 110. The storage rack 100 is enclosed by a housing 101.

[0035] Each of the rack towers 108, 110 contains a plurality of stacked storage locations 102 for accommodating storage goods carriers 50. Storage goods, such as small parts, can be stored on the storage goods carriers 50. For storing the storage goods carriers 50 in the individual storage locations 102, the rack towers 108, 110 have side walls 109, 111 with pairs of opposing support supports 113 to form a storage location 102. The side walls 109, 111, made of sheet steel, are each welded to uprights, preferably using projection welding. The support supports 113 are integrated into the respective side wall 109, 111 and pressed into them in a meandering shape. This ensures a comparatively rigid design of the side walls 109, 111. The support supports 113 are evenly distributed one above the other across the entire side wall 109, 111.

[0036] The storage rack 100 has an access opening 106. The access opening 106 is arranged in the first rack tower 108, so that the side walls 109 laterally delimit the access opening 106. The access opening 106 allows the stored goods to be placed on or removed from the storage goods carriers 50. This process is also referred to as picking. Furthermore, the storage goods carriers 50 can be added to or removed from the access opening 106.

[0037] Fig. 2 and Fig. 3 show various views of the storage goods carrier 50 with a storage goods carrier insert 10 according to the invention arranged in the storage goods carrier 50. The storage goods carrier insert 10 has a base plate 12 and at least one side wall profile 20. In the embodiment shown in Fig. 2, the storage goods carrier insert 10 has a total of four side wall profiles 20.

[0038] The side wall profile 20 has a wall section 22 and a base section 24. The wall section 22 and the base section 24 are formed as a single piece. The side wall profile 20 is preferably made from a metal sheet with a constant wall thickness. In the illustrated embodiment of the side wall profile 20, the wall section 22 has a support area 23. The support area 23 is arranged at an obtuse angle to the wall section 22. A fold 25 is provided at the projecting end of the support area 23 by bending over the end of the sheet metal. The fold 25 can also be arranged at the end of the wall section 22 and serves to avoid a sharp edge. The support area 23 serves to provide a support for rolled storage goods so that the rolled storage goods can be carried on the storage goods carrier 50.For this purpose, a pair of side wall profiles 20 is preferably provided, the support area 23 of which is arranged projecting in opposite directions relative to the respective wall section 22.

[0039] Fig. 4 shows a storage goods carrier insert 10, which is included in section A in Fig. 2, but without the storage goods carrier 50 shown in Fig. 2. The storage goods carrier insert 10 has a base plate 12 and at least one side wall profile 20

[0040] The sidewall profile 20 is shown in Fig. 5, Fig. 6, and Fig. 7 in individual representation. The sidewall profile 20 extends over a length L-20. In the embodiments shown in Fig. 5 to Fig. 7, only three sections of a sidewall profile 20 are shown. This is indicated in the figures by two interruptions. However, the sidewall profile 20 shown is formed in one piece and does not have any such interruptions.

[0041] A plurality of slots 29 are provided in the wall section 22 and the support section 23. The slots 29 are arranged parallel to one another and evenly distributed over the length L-20 of the side wall profile 20. A divider 30 can be inserted into the slots 29. Due to the plurality of slots 29, the divider 30 can be arranged at any location along the length of the side wall profile 20. The divider 30 serves to further subdivide the storage carrier 50 perpendicular to the side wall profile 20.

[0042] In Fig. 7, the foot section 24 is shown with three recesses 28. However, the design is not limited to three recesses 28. An edge region 28r of the recess 28 is located around the recess 28. The recess 28 and a region of the foot section 24 adjacent to the recess 28 form a second coupling element 26 in the illustrated design.

[0043] The base plate 12 is shown in a plan view in Fig. 8. The base plate 12 has a plurality of projecting fastening lugs 16 which form a first coupling element 14. A horizontal section 16w and a vertical section 16s are provided on each fastening lug 16. The horizontal section 16w is arranged parallel to and spaced from the base plate 12. The vertical section 16s connects the base plate 12 to the horizontal section 16w and can also have an oblique course, as shown in Fig. 9. The distance between the horizontal section 16w and the base plate 12 preferably corresponds to the wall thickness of the foot section 24 of the side wall profile 20. The fastening lug 16 is connected integrally to the base plate 12. For this purpose, a U-shaped cutout is cut into the base plate 12, in particular lasered, and deformed into the fastening nose 16 by means of forming.Cutting and forming can be done in one manufacturing process step.

[0044] Furthermore, the fastening lug 16 can have an orientation 17a, 17b. The orientation 17a, 17b is defined by the vertical section 16s relative to the horizontal section 16w along an extension along the length L-12 of the base plate 12 and is illustrated in Fig. 8 by an arrow. The arrow points from the vertical section 16s toward the horizontal section 16w.

[0045] As shown in Fig. 8, the topmost row of fastening tabs 16a is arranged in the first orientation 17a, and the lower row of fastening tabs 16b is arranged in the second orientation 17b. The first orientation 17a is opposite to the second orientation 17b. Subsequent rows of fastening tabs 16 each have an alternating orientation.

[0046] Fig. 9 shows a cross-section through a first coupling element 14 connected to a second coupling element 26. To establish the connection, the recess 28 of the foot section 24 is placed onto the fastening lug 16. Subsequently, the side wall profile 20 with the recess 28 is displaced in the opposite direction to the orientation 17a, 17b indicated by an arrow in Fig. 8, until the edge region 28r of the recess 28 rests against the vertical section 16s of the fastening lug 16. As a result, the horizontal section 16w overlaps the edge region 28r.

[0047] The assembled storage carrier insert 10 is then inserted into a storage carrier 50. Because the length L-12 of the base plate 12, the length L-20 of the side wall profile 20, and the width B-52 of the base 52 of the storage carrier 50 are equal, the connection between the first coupling element 14 and the second coupling element 26 cannot become loose. This is because the side wall 20 rests against the frame wall 54 protruding from the base 52 of the storage carrier 50.

[0048] The assembled storage carrier insert 10 is easy to manufacture with the proposed connection and can be installed without the need for additional tools, such as puncturing pliers. A particularly advantageous feature is that the storage carrier insert 10 can be assembled by hand and ensures a stable connection when installed in the storage carrier 50.
