Field of application

[0001] The present invention relates to modular footwear, according to the preamble of independent claim no. 1.

[0002] The footwear in question falls within the more general field of the production of clothing, such as shoes, boots, sandals, etc., used in particular to protect the foot and ensure comfort when walking.

[0003] More specifically, the footwear in question is intended to be advantageously modular, i.e. Provided with components that can be replaced even by unqualified personnel and without the use of tools.

[0012] In order to at least partially resolve the above-mentioned drawbacks, modular footwear is known in the footwear sector, in which the sole and the upper are joined together in a removable manner, for example by means of a zipper provided with a first part fixed to the edge of the sole and a second part, which can be coupled to the first part, fixed to the edge of the upper. Such a system therefore allows separating the sole and the upper and possibly replacing one of the two.

[0013] However, even this last type of footwear has proven to be not free from drawbacks in practice, mainly because the aforesaid zipper is not a fastening means which is sufficiently resistant to the continuous stresses and wear due to walking and can therefore break at any moment.

[0014] A further drawback is that this footwear is not particularly comfortable for the foot, as the zipper tends to stiffen it considerably.

[0015] Furthermore, this footwear does not solve all the previously mentioned drawbacks, as the zipper itself must necessarily be sewn or glued to the other components of the footwear.

[0017] In this situation, the problem underlying the present invention is therefore that of eliminating the problems of the above-mentioned prior art, by providing modular footwear which does not require the use of stitching and glue for assembly.

Claims

1. Modular footwear, which comprises: - a sole (2), extending between a lower face (21) intended, in use, to come into contact with the ground and an opposite upper face (22); and - an upper (3), mechanically connected to said sole (2) and arranged to at least partially cover said upper face (22); said modular footwear (1) being characterized in that it is further provided with connection means (4), placed with removable fastening between said upper (3) and said sole (2) and comprising: - at least one engagement element (5), which is mechanically connected to said sole (2), is arranged at least partially in projection from said sole (2) and is provided with an enlarged terminal portion (51); - at least a first connecting element (6), on which at least one through opening (61) is made, reversibly engaged by the enlarged terminal portion (51) of said engagement element (5) to removably retain said upper (3) on said sole (2); said first connecting element (6) also being removably connected to said upper (3).

2. Modular footwear according to claim 1, characterized in that at least one through hole (23) is made on said sole (2) and that said engagement element (5) comprises an elongated portion (52) arranged to pass through said through hole (23).

3. Modular footwear according to claim 2, characterized in that said elongated portion (52) has a length (L1) equal to the sum of the extension (L2) of said through hole (23) and the thickness (L3) of said first connecting element (6) engaged by said engagement element (5).

4. Modular footwear according to claim 2 or 3, characterized in that said engagement element (5) comprises two opposite enlarged terminal portions (51), between which said elongated portion (52) is interposed.

5. Modular footwear according to claim 4, characterized in that said enlarged terminal portions (51) have a dimension (L4) greater than the width (L5) of said through hole (23), so as to prevent the exit of said engagement element (5) from said through hole (23).

Modular footwear according to any of claims 3 to 5, characterized in that said engagement element (5) is provided with a first part (53), comprising one of said enlarged terminal portions (51) and at least a section of said elongated portion (52), and a second part (54), comprising the other of said enlarged terminal portions (51); said first part (53) and said second part (54) being removably fixed together.

7. Modular footwear according to claim 6, characterized in that the first part (53) and the second part (54) of said engagement element (5) are removably fixed together by means of pressure or snap fit engagement.

8. Modular footwear according to claim 6, characterized in that the first part (53) and the second part (54) of said engagement element (5) are removably fixed together by screwing.

Modular footwear according to any of claims 2 to 8, characterized in that said sole (2) extends along a prevalent development plane (P) and comprises an edge portion (24) extending in projection from a perimeter edge (25) of said sole (2) at least partially transversely with respect to said prevalent development plane (P); said through hole (23) being made at said edge portion (24).

10. Modular footwear according to claim 9, characterized in that said engagement element (5) extends along a development direction (S) parallel to the prevalent development plane (P) of said sole (2).

11. Modular footwear according to claim 1, characterized in that said engagement element (5) is made in a single body with said sole (2).

12. Modular footwear according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that said first connecting element (6) is made of flexible material and comprises at least one folding portion (62), defining an engagement slot (63) for the connection to said upper (3).

13. Modular footwear according to claim 12, characterized in that on said first connecting element (6) two through openings (61) are made, which are superimposed and engaged simultaneously by the enlarged terminal portion (51) of said engagement element (5).

14. Modular footwear according to claim 12 or 13, characterized in that said connection means (4) comprise several engagement elements (5) placed side by side; wherein on said first connecting element (6) several pairs of overlapping through openings (61) are made, each engaged by one corresponding said engagement element (5).
