Description

[0001] The invention relates to a camping tent with a wall in which at least one window is formed.

[0002] This window, at least, serves to illuminate the interior of the camping tent and to offer people inside the tent the opportunity to see out of the tent and into the surrounding area.

[0003] Based on the prior art described above, the invention aims to provide a camping tent in whose wall at least one window is formed, in which privacy can be created in the interior of the camping tent for the persons inside without impairing the illumination of the interior of the camping tent by natural light, while furthermore allowing persons inside the camping tent to look out into the surroundings of the camping tent through the at least one window.

[0004] This problem is solved according to the invention by forming at least one window in the wall of the camping tent from a translucent film that is transparent in one direction and opaque in the other, and by integrating it into the wall in such a way that it is transparent from the inside of the camping tent and opaque from the outside. Through the at least one window designed according to the invention, the interior of the camping tent can be illuminated with natural light from the surroundings, allowing people inside the tent to see their surroundings while also providing them with privacy. Due to the opaque design of the at least one window from the outside, additional security is offered insofar as any valuables inside the camping tent are not visible from outside.Furthermore, in many cases it is possible to do without window coverings that would otherwise be required to cover at least one window.

[0005] According to an advantageous embodiment of the camping tent according to the invention, a silver layer is incorporated into the translucent foil, which is transparent on one side and opaque on the other. This reduces solar radiation entering the interior of the camping tent and consequently lowers the interior temperature. Furthermore, this protects items inside the camping tent from sun damage. Additionally, it reduces glare from direct sunlight, making activities such as working on computer screens more comfortable.

[0006] According to a further advantageous embodiment of the camping tent according to the invention, it has a wall in which at least one window is formed, which in turn is formed from an air- and light-permeable layer that is transparent in one direction and opaque in the other, and is incorporated into the wall in such a way that it is transparent from the inside out of the camping tent and opaque from the outside into the camping tent, wherein the air- and light-permeable layer that is transparent in one direction and opaque in the other is formed as a grid structure, which is coated on its outer side facing away from the interior of the camping tent with a reflective material in such a way that the grid structure is opaque from the outside and transparent from the inside. The grid structure, which naturally features numerous openings and serves as the location for at least one window, ensures adequate ventilation of the tent's interior at all times. Since the grid structure is coated with reflective material only on its outer surface, while its inner surface remains free of reflective material, the one-way transparency of the at least one window, from the inside out, is guaranteed.

[0007] A particularly practical embodiment of the camping tent according to the invention, which can be realized with comparatively little effort, is achieved when the grid structure of the air- and light-permeable, transparent on one side and opaque on the other side layer of the at least one window is coated on its outside with a layer of silver.

[0008] The reflective material or the silver layer can, for example, be sprayed onto the outside of the grid structure of at least one window in a simple manner.

[0009] The grid structure of at least one window itself can advantageously be designed as an insect screen.

[0010] The invention will now be explained in more detail with reference to embodiments and the drawing, the only features of which are Figure 1 A perspective view shows a camping tent designed according to the invention.

[0011] A in Fig. 1The camping tent 1 shown has a wall 2 by means of which the interior of the camping tent 1 is separated from the surroundings. Entrances 3, 4, which can be opened and closed, are formed in the wall 2 of the camping tent 1. Furthermore, in the illustrated embodiment of the camping tent 1, several windows 5 are provided in the wall 2. Natural light can enter the interior of the camping tent 1 through these windows 5. People inside the camping tent 1 can look out through the windows 5 into the surroundings.

[0012] Accordingly, window 5 is made of a translucent film. This translucent film is transparent on one side and opaque on the other. It is integrated into the wall 2 of the camping tent 1 in such a way that people inside the camping tent 1 can see out through the film or window 5 into the surroundings of the camping tent 1, whereas the opaque side of the film or window 5 facing the surroundings of the camping tent 1 ensures that people outside the camping tent 1 cannot see into the interior of the camping tent 1, thus guaranteeing privacy for those inside the camping tent 1.

[0013] A silver layer can be incorporated into the translucent film. This blocks UV radiation, thereby lowering the interior temperature of the tent and protecting items inside from sun damage. Glare from direct sunlight can be prevented or at least significantly reduced, making screen use more comfortable. Any valuables inside the tent are not visible from outside. In many cases, a window covering or similar device is unnecessary for the one-way opaque window.

[0014] In an alternative embodiment of the camping tent 1 according to the invention, the at least one window 5 is formed from an air- and light-permeable layer that is transparent in one direction and opaque in the other. The air- and light-permeable, transparent in one direction, and opaque layer of the window 5 is a grid structure, the outer surface of which, facing away from the interior of the camping tent 1, is coated with a reflective material, preferably a silver layer, such that the grid structure is opaque from the outside and transparent from the inside. The reflective material or the silver layer can be sprayed onto the outer surface of the grid structure. In particular, fly screens or insect screens can be used as the grid structure of the at least one window 5.
