[0002] Carrier vests are often used by personnel like soldiers or police for various purposes. Some carrier vests are configured to carry anti-ballistic plates, in addition to being configured for carrying additional equipment.
[0003] As the persons carrying such carrier vests are sometimes exposed to hazard, the carrier vests can be equipped with a rescue handle that facilitates moving of for instance an unconscious person by another person.
[0004] When the carrier vest is provided with such a rescue handle, it is an aim that the rescue handle is not prone to entanglement and thus hamper the action of the wearer. Another aim is that when the rescue handle is used, it should facilitate moving the user of the carrier vest.

[0012] According to a first aspect of the present invention, there is provided a carrier vest comprising a front carrier plate and a rear carrier plate. The rear carrier plate has a plurality of attachment apertures and intermediate plate sections arranged between adjacent attachment apertures. The rear carrier plate also has an outer surface and an inner surface. The carrier vest further has shoulder straps attached to the upper portions of the respective front and rear carrier plates. Furthermore, the carrier vest is provided with a rescue strap configured to be actuated from a storage mode to an application mode. The rescue strap is fixed to an upper portion of the rear carrier plate, at a respective first strap connection area and a second strap connection area that is laterally distanced from the first strap connection area. Whenin the storage mode, the rescue strap comprises two folded strap portions located at the inner surface of the rear carrier plate and extending downwards from the respective first and second strap connection areas to a respective lower fold.According to the invention, when in the application mode the folded strap portions are in a pulled-out state, such that the rescue strap extends in a non-folded configuration between the first and second strap connection areas.
[0013] According to a second aspect of the invention, there is provided a carrier vest comprising a front portion and a rear portion. The rear portion comprises a plurality of attachment interfaces, an outer surface, and an inner surface. Shoulder straps are attached to the upper portions of the respective front and rear portions. Moreover, the carrier vest comprises a rescue strap that is configured to be actuated from a storage mode to an application mode. The rescue strap is fixed to an upper portion of the rear portion, at a respective first strap connection area and a second strap connection area that is laterally distanced from the first strap connection area. In said storage mode, the rescue strap comprises two folded strap portions located at the inner surface of the rear portion or embedded within the rear portion and extending downwards from the respective first and second strap connection areas to a respective lower fold. Furthermore, in said application mode, the folded strap portions are in a pulled-out state, such that the rescue strap extends in a non-folded configuration between the first and second strap connection areas.

To contribute in maintaining the rescue strap 17 in the storage mode when not being used, the carrier vest 1 comprises a holding loop 29, through which the rescue strap 17 extends. The lower fold 17a of the rescue strap 17 can be arranged at the same position as the holding loop 29, or below.

Claims
Claims1 . A carrier vest (1 ) comprising- a front carrier plate (9) and a rear carrier plate (11 ), wherein the rear carrier plate comprises a plurality of attachment apertures (13) and intermediate plate sections (13a) arranged between adjacent attachment apertures (13), and further comprising an outer surface (11 a) and an inner surface (11 b);- shoulder straps (3) attached to the upper portions of the respective front and rear carrier plates (9, 11 );- a rescue strap (17) configured to be actuated from a storage mode to an application mode; wherein- the rescue strap (17) is fixed to an upper portion of the rear carrier plate (11 ), at a respective first strap connection area (19) and a second strap connection area (21 ) that is laterally distanced from the first strap connection area;- in said storage mode, the rescue strap comprises two folded strap portions (17c) located at the inner surface (11 b) of the rear carrier plate (11 ) and extending downwards from the respective first and second strap connection areas (19, 21 ) to a respective lower fold (17a);- in said application mode, the folded strap portions (17c) are in a pulled-out state, such that the rescue strap (17) extends in a non-folded configuration between the first and second strap connection areas (19, 21 ).
2. A carrier vest (1 ) comprising- a front portion (5) and a rear portion (7), wherein the rear portion comprises a plurality of attachment interfaces (13), an outer surface (11 a) and an inner surface (11 b);- shoulder straps (3) attached to the upper portions of the respective front and rear portions (5, 7);- a rescue strap (17) configured to be actuated from a storage mode to an application mode; wherein- the rescue strap (17) is fixed to an upper portion of the rear portion (7), at a respective first strap connection area (19) and a second strap connection area (21 ) that is laterally distanced from the first strap connection area;- in said storage mode, the rescue strap comprises two folded strap portions (17c) located at the inner surface (11 b) of the rear portion (7) or embedded within the rear portion (7) and extending downwards from the respective first and second strap connection areas (19, 21) to a respective lower fold (17a);- in said application mode, the folded strap portions (17c) are in a pulled-out state, such that the rescue strap (17) extends in a non-folded configuration between the first and second strap connection areas (19, 21 ).
3. A carrier vest (1 ) according to claim 1 or claim 2, characterized in that the first and second strap connection areas (19, 21 ) are arranged at an upper portion of the rear carrier plate (11 ) or the rear portion (7) of the carrier vest (1 ).
4. A carrier vest (1 ) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the folded strap portions (17c) constitute more than 60 % of the entire length of the rescue strap (17).
5. A carrier vest (1 ) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the respective folded strap portions (17c) has a length longer than 50 % of the vertical extension of the rear carrier plate (11 ) or the rear portion (7).
6. A carrier vest (1 ) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that in said storage mode, the rescue strap (17) comprises, below the respective first and second strap connection areas (19, 21), only one lower fold (17a).
7. A carrier vest (1 ) according to claim 1 , or according to claim 1 and any one of the claims 3 to 6, characterized in that the rescue strap (17) comprises, at each respective end of the rescue strap, a strap loop (17b) enclosing at least one intermediate plate section (13a).
8. A carrier vest (1 ) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it further comprises two respective holding loops (29), through which the respective folded strap portions (17a) extend when in the storage mode.
