Description

[0001] With the increasing introduction of driverless subways, platform screen doors are being installed at stations. When trains stop at a station, they open both the train doors and the platform screen doors to allow passengers to board and alight. However, some existing trains in subway networks only have a unidirectional communication system from the track to the train, meaning that without additional equipment, the information required to open the doors cannot be transmitted.

[0002] For retrofitting trains, there are complex, radio-based add-on systems that can be installed in the trains and set up trackside to enable control functions. Disadvantages of existing solutions include the high cost per train, the weight of the components to be installed on the train, and the interference with the existing train logic.

[0003] The present invention deals with the problem of how to provide a system with a return channel for communication to open a door in a simple and safe manner.

[0004] The object of the invention is to provide a transmitting device, a receiving device, a system and a method which enables the retrofitting of (subway) lines for a driverless (subway) train in a simple, safe manner and with little impact on the weight of the subway or train.

[0005] Regardless of the grammatical gender of a particular term, persons with male, female or other gender identities are included.

[0006] The problem is solved according to the invention by a transmitting device according to claim 1, a receiving device according to claim 4, a system according to claim 5 and a method according to claim 6.

[0007] The invention relates to a transmitting device for sending a train door parameter, comprising a switching unit configured for acquiring the train door parameter. The transmitting device further comprises an RFID transponder sensor unit connected to the switching unit, which is configured for transmitting the train door parameter to at least one RFID transponder. The transmitting device also includes the RFID transponder, which is configured for storing and transmitting the train door parameter.

[0008] The invention can be applied particularly in the field of driverless subways. Furthermore, the invention can also be applied to other types of trains, for example regional or long-distance trains.

[0009] The abbreviation RFID refers to a technology for identification using electromagnetic waves. This involves a transmitter-receiver system, which in this invention comprises a transmitter and a reader. The technology is specifically designed for automatic and contactless identification and localization.

[0010] The RFID system consists of an RFID transponder, located on or inside the object (here: train), which contains a unique identifier, and an RFID reader with an RFID antenna for reading this identifier. The connection is established primarily through alternating magnetic fields generated by the RFID reader or the RFID antenna via high-frequency radio waves. This allows data to be transmitted and, if necessary, the transponder to be powered. The RFID reader may include software that controls the actual reading process and RFID middleware with interfaces to other IT systems.

[0011] The train door parameter can preferably include a switching state of the train door. The train door parameter can, in particular additionally, include an individual train-specific parameter. The individual train-specific parameter can be a train number. The train door parameter can, in particular additionally, include several individual train-specific parameters. The transmitting device can be configured to transmit a plurality of train door parameters. The transmitting device can send one or more train door parameters.

[0012] The RFID transponder can be designed to store the train door parameter in a changeable or unchangeable way.

[0013] According to one aspect of the invention, the RFID transponder is designed to be semi-active or passive.

[0014] According to one aspect of the invention, the RFID transponder has a transmission frequency of 860 to 870 MHz.

[0015] The invention further relates to a receiving device for receiving a train door parameter, comprising at least one RFID antenna configured for receiving the train door parameter. The receiving device further comprises an RFID reading unit configured for reading the train door parameter and forwarding the train door parameter to a programmable logic controller (PLC). The receiving device further comprises the programmable logic controller, which includes processing logic for plausibility checking the train door parameter and which is configured for forwarding the plausibility-checked train door parameter to a platform screen door control unit. The platform screen door control unit is configured to output a control signal for opening or closing the platform screen door.

[0016] The invention further relates to a system comprising a transmitting device and a receiving device according to the invention.

[0017] The system is characterized by the fact that it requires only one device on the train side to tap into the signal for the driver's controls, namely the switching state. Furthermore, commercially available RFID components can be used, which transmit this signal to an RFID antenna or multiple RFID antennas along the track to a processing computer solution, in particular a programmable logic controller (PLC). After evaluation, the PLC then sends the commands or control signals to the platform door control system, thereby triggering the release or opening of the platform door.

[0018] The system consists of train-side and trackside components: RFID transponders (also called RFID tags) are installed on the train side, which can transmit two switching states via the air interface. These switching states are detected and adopted from the "Release" (F) and "Open" (Ö) commands issued by the driver when the train stops at a station to open the doors.

[0019] This information, or train door parameter, can be continuously transmitted to the RFID antenna located in the track bed and then forwarded to the RFID reader. The RFID reader can send the information, or train door parameter, via a data interface to a programmable logic controller (PLC), where processing logic checks the plausibility of the received data, particularly the train door parameter. If the data, or train door parameter, is received correctly and a release or opening is pending, this information can be passed on to the platform door controller or platform door control unit via an interface, which then opens the platform doors.

[0020] Data acquisition only begins when a train enters the station: the signal box, based on track occupancy, reports the train's arrival to the programmable logic controller (PLC). The PLC then activates the RFID reader, enabling it to receive data, particularly train door parameters. Once the train is in the stopping position, communication with the RFID tags or transponders begins and continues for the entire duration of the stop. Information or switching states triggered by the driver are intercepted via switching devices or a switching unit, fed to the RFID tags or transponders, and continuously transmitted in real time, ensuring that changes in switching states are detected immediately. The PLC continuously checks the plausibility of the data and the train door parameters for consistency. To prevent data buffering and the processing of outdated data or train door parameters, the programmable logic controller (PLC) and RFID reader are time-synchronized, and only telegrams with a plausible timestamp are processed. Depending on the switching state, valid and plausible data or train door parameters are then passed on to the platform door controller or control unit. At the end of the passenger exchange period, triggered by the driver's closing command, the opening and release information is revoked, causing the PLC to return to its initial state and the platform door controller or control unit, thus closing the platform doors.

[0021] The system can be built with appropriate safety technology for railway applications: The programmable logic controller evaluates wired antivalent input messages from the signal box and forwards commands, in particular based on the train door parameter, in wired antivalent form to the platform door controller or platform door control unit.

[0022] To increase the system's robustness, components such as RFID transponders and / or RFID antennas can be used redundantly. Each end of the train can be equipped with, for example, four tags or RFID transponders to maintain functionality even if communication with individual tags or RFID transponders is lost. Each tag or RFID transponder can carry individual train-specific parameters to ensure unambiguous identification of the train (via the train number), the driver's cab side, and the access side. The RFID antennas, which are primarily located in the track bed, can also be redundant to ensure continued operation in the event of a failure (e.g., a broken cable).

[0023] Through a complex processing algorithm, the system can advantageously derive the necessary commands from the train door parameter and forward them to the door control or platform door control unit, based on minimal input data (release or opening on the train side) and track occupancy information from the interlocking system on the land side.

[0024] The invention further relates to a method for releasing and / or opening and / or closing platform doors comprising the steps of tapping, transmitting, sending, receiving the train door parameter, reading, first forwarding, checking, second forwarding and releasing and / or opening and / or closing.

[0025] In the sampling step, a train door parameter is sampled using a switching unit, wherein the train door parameter includes a switching state in relation to an opening state of the train door.

[0026] In the transmission step, the train door parameter is transmitted to at least one RFID transponder via an RFID transponder sensor connection connected to the switching unit.

[0027] In the sending step, the train door parameter is sent via the transponder to at least one RFID antenna.

[0028] In the receiving step, the train door parameter is received via the RFID antenna.

[0029] In the reading step, the train door parameter is read using an RFID reading unit, and in the first forwarding step, the train door parameter is forwarded to a programmable logic controller.

[0030] In the verification step, the train door parameter is checked for plausibility using processing logic included in the programmable logic controller.

[0031] If the train door parameter is plausible, in the second forwarding step the train door parameter is forwarded to a platform door control unit.

[0032] In the step of releasing and / or opening and / or closing the platform door, the platform door is released and / or opened and / or closed based on the train door parameter. Preferably, in the step of releasing, opening, or closing the platform door, the platform door is released, opened, or closed based on the train door parameter. In particular, in the release step, the platform door can be released based on the train door parameter. In particular, in the opening step, the platform door can be opened based on the train door parameter. In particular, in the closing step, the platform door can be closed based on the train door parameter.

[0033] According to one aspect of the invention, the method further comprises the steps of receiving an entry signal and switching. In the receiving step, an entry signal from a train is received by means of the programmable logic controller (PLC), wherein the entry signal was transmitted, in particular, by a signal box. Triggered by the received entry signal, the RFID reading unit is switched to a receive-ready operating state by means of the programmable logic controller in the switching step.

[0034] According to one aspect of the invention, the method further comprises the step of continuous communication between the at least one RFID transponder and the at least one RFID antenna as soon as a train is in the stopping area.

[0035] According to one aspect of the invention, the plausibility check verifies the consistency of the continuously received train door parameters.

[0036] The plausibility check can also include a topological perspective: a release opening towards the side facing away from the platform may preferably not result in the platform doors opening at all. In particular, the direction-related opening information can be compared with the train-specific information, for example, how the train is physically positioned at the track (where is driver's cab 1 and where is driver's cab 2), where the expected platform side is, and whether the release or opening is also given for this side.

[0037] To perform a plausibility check, a minimum number of reporting tags or RFID transponders are required. The information from these tags, particularly the train door parameters, is compared against each other. This comparison can preferably be performed from both ends of the carriage to ensure the train is completely at the station. If tags or RFID transponders report from only one end of the carriage, at least two must be present for the releasing or opening side. If one tag or RFID transponder reports from each end of the carriage, only one tag or RFID transponder is required for the releasing or opening side.

[0038] Furthermore, a train identification step can be included in the procedure. The train can be identified by its train number. The train number can be included as an individual, train-specific parameter within the train door parameter. Based on a majority decision, the train can be identified, and only its information, in particular the train door parameter or the majority of train door parameters, can be considered valid for this station stop. The majority decision can be made based on a comparison of the number of telegrams containing a first train number and those containing a second train number. In particular, more telegrams from the train, for example, with the first train number, on the relevant track, encompassing the platform doors to be controlled, can be received than telegrams from another train, for example, with the second train number, on the adjacent track.

[0039] This can advantageously prevent crosstalk, especially between adjacent tracks, when both are occupied by trains.

[0040] According to one aspect of the invention, the programmable logic controller and the RFID reading unit are time-synchronized.

[0041] According to one aspect of the invention, the programmable logic controller only processes train door parameters with a plausible timestamp.

[0042] According to one aspect of the invention, only a valid and plausible train door parameter is passed from the programmable logic controller to the platform door control unit.

[0043] According to one aspect of the invention, the train door parameter includes the switching state of releasing a train door and / or opening a train door.

[0044] According to one aspect of the invention, the train door parameter further comprises an individual train-specific train parameter.

[0045] According to one aspect of the invention, triggered by a closing command to the train door, the opening and release information is withdrawn, so that the programmable logic controller outputs the basic state to the platform door control unit, so that the platform doors are closed.

[0046] Exemplary embodiments of the invention are explained in more detail below with reference to the drawings. These show: FIG 1 schematically a representation of a train with the system according to the invention in a first embodiment; FIG 2 schematically a representation of a train with the system according to the invention in a second embodiment; FIG 3 schematically a representation of a train with the system according to the invention in a third embodiment; and FIG 4 A schematic representation of the method according to the invention.

[0047] The Figs. 1 to 3Figure 17 shows exemplary embodiments of a system according to the invention, comprising a transmitter 17 and a receiver 18. The transmitter 17 for sending a train door parameter has a switching unit 10, 11, 14, which is configured to capture the train door parameter. The transmitter 17 further comprises an RFID transponder sensor unit 15 connected to the switching unit 10, 11, 14, which is configured to transmit the train door parameter to at least one RFID transponder 2. The transmitter 17 also includes the RFID transponder 2, which is configured to store and transmit the train door parameter.

[0048] The train door parameter preferably includes a switching state of the train door. The train door parameter can, in particular additionally, include an individual train-specific parameter. The individual train-specific parameter can be a train number. The train door parameter can, in particular additionally, include several individual train-specific parameters. The transmitting device 17 can be configured to transmit a plurality of train door parameters. The transmitting device 17 can send one or more train door parameters.

[0049] The RFID transponder 2 can be configured to store the train door parameter in a modifiable or static manner. The RFID transponder 2 is semi-active or passive. The RFID transponder 2 has a transmission frequency of 860 to 870 MHz.

[0050] The receiving device 18 for receiving a train door parameter has at least one RFID antenna 3, which is configured to receive the train door parameter. The receiving device 18 also has an RFID reading unit 4, which is configured to read the train door parameter and forward it to a programmable logic controller (PLC). The receiving device 18 further includes the programmable logic controller 5, which comprises processing logic for plausibility checking the train door parameter and which is configured to forward the plausibility-checked train door parameter to a platform screen door control unit 7. The platform screen door control unit 7 is configured to output a control signal for opening or closing the platform screen door 8.

[0051] The system is characterized by the fact that it requires only one device on the train side for signal acquisition from the driver's controls, namely the switching state. Furthermore, commercially available RFID components can be used, which transmit this signal to an RFID antenna 3 or several RFID antennas 3 along the track to a processing computer solution, in particular a programmable logic controller (PLC) 5. After evaluation, the PLC then sends the commands or control instructions to the door control or platform screen door control unit 7 of the platform screen door, thereby enabling the release or opening of the platform screen door 8.

[0052] The system consists of train-side and trackside components: RFID transponders (also known as RFID tags) are installed on the train side, which can transmit two switching states via the wireless interface. These switching states are detected and adopted from the "Release" (F) and "Open" (Ö) commands issued by the driver when the train stops at a station to open the doors.

[0053] This information, or train door parameter, can be continuously transmitted to the RFID antenna 3 located in the track bed and then forwarded to the RFID reader 4. The RFID reader 4 can send the information, or train door parameter, via a data interface to a programmable logic controller (PLC), where processing logic checks the plausibility of the received data, particularly the train door parameter. If the data, or train door parameter, is received correctly and a release or opening is pending, this information can be passed on to the platform door controller 7 via an interface, which in turn opens the platform doors 8.

[0054] Data acquisition only begins when a train 1 enters the station: signal box 6, based on the track occupancy of the station track, reports the arrival of train 1 to the programmable logic controller (PLC) 5. The PLC 5 then switches the RFID reader 4 to an operating state, enabling it to receive data, particularly train door parameters. When train 1 is in the area of the stopping position, in this case platform 12, communication with the RFID tags or RFID transponders 2 begins and continues for the entire duration of the stop. The information or switching state triggered by the driver is accessed via switching devices or a switching unit 10, 11, 14, fed to the RFID tags or RFID transponders 2, and transmitted continuously in real time, so that changes in the switching state are detected immediately. The programmable logic controller (PLC) 5 continuously checks the plausibility of the data and the train door parameters for consistency. To prevent data buffering and thus the processing of outdated data or train door parameters, the PLC 5 and the RFID reader 4 are time-synchronized, and only telegrams with a plausible timestamp are processed. The RFID reader 4 is connected to the PLC 5 via a LAN connection. Depending on the switching state, valid and plausible data and train door parameters are transmitted to the platform door controller or platform door control unit 7. At the end of the passenger exchange time, triggered by the driver's closing command, the opening and release information is revoked, so that the PLC 5 switches to the platform door controller or platform door control unit 7.- Control unit 7 returns to the default state, and thus the platform doors 8 are closed.

[0055] The system is built with appropriate safety technology for railway applications: The programmable logic controller (PLC) 5 evaluates wired antivalent input signals from the interlocking unit 40 and forwards commands, particularly based on the train door parameter, in wired antivalent form to the platform door controller or platform door control unit 7. Adjacent platforms 13 can also have programmable logic controllers 51, 52. The programmable logic controllers 5, 51, 52 can be interconnected via a local area network (LAN) and / or fiber optic cable 54. The information from the programmable logic controllers 5, 51, 52 can be connected to a diagnostic interface computer 52 for signal evaluation and verification.

[0056] To increase the system's robustness, components such as RFID transponders 2 and / or RFID antennas 3 can be used redundantly. Each train end can be equipped with, for example, 4 tags or RFID transponders 2 each – as shown in Fig. 2 shown – equipped to maintain functionality in the event of communication loss with individual tags or RFID transponders 2. Each tag or RFID transponder 2 can carry individual train-specific parameters to support unambiguous assignment to the train 1 (via the train number) to the driver's cab side and the opening side. The RFID antennas 3, which are located particularly in the track bed, can also be redundantly designed to remain operational in the event of failure (cable break), cf. Fig. 2 . In Fig. 2 Track 55 is also shown.

[0057] Through a complex processing algorithm, the system can advantageously derive the necessary commands from the train door parameter and forward them to the door control or platform door control unit 7, based on minimal input data (train-side release or opening) and on the land-side from signal box 6 of the track occupancy.

[0058] The Fig. 1Figure 1 shows an exemplary embodiment of the system according to the invention. The train 1 comprises wheels 9. The train 1 includes switching units 10 for detecting the train door parameter "release" and switching units 11 for detecting the train door parameter "open," which are each configured, for example, at least once in the front and at the rear of the train 1. The switching units 10 and 11 are each connected to an RFID transponder 2. RFID antennas 3 are arranged in the track bed and are connected to the RFID reading unit 4. The programmable logic controller (PLC) 5 is connected to the interlocking system 6 and the RFID reading unit 4. The programmable logic controller (PLC) 5 is also connected to the platform screen door control unit 7 for controlling the platform screen door 8.

[0059] The Fig. 2Figure 1 shows a top view of train 1 on track 55, which is located at platform 12. Track 55, belonging to the adjacent platform 13, is also shown. At least one RFID antenna 3 can be arranged in the track bed between track 55 at each end of the train. Preferably, several RFID antennas 3 can be arranged (additionally shown as dashed boxes). The RFID reading units 4 are located at platforms 12 and 13, respectively. For example, train 1 includes four RFID D transponders 2 at each end.

[0060] The Fig. 3In addition to switching units 10 and 11, switching units 14 are also shown for tapping the train door closing parameter. Switching units 10, 11, and 14 are connected to RFID transponder sensor units 15, which in turn are connected to RFID transponders 2. The transmitter 17 is located on the train side. The receiver 18 is located on the track side. A power supply unit 16 powers the RFID reader 4. The information stored on the RFID transponders 2 can be read by the RFID reader 4 (indicated by the double arrow in the figure). The interlocking unit 40 and the platform door control unit 7 are connected to the programmable logic controller (PLC) 5. The PLC 5 can be connected to PLCs 51 and 52 on adjacent platforms via a local area network (LAN) and / or fiber optic cable 54.A diagnostic coupling computer 53 is connected to the programmable logic controllers 5, 51, 52 via a local network (LAN) and / or fiber optic cable 54.

[0061] The Fig. 4 Figure 1 shows an exemplary embodiment of the inventive method 20 for releasing and / or opening and / or closing 29 of platform screen doors, comprising the steps of tapping 21, transmitting 22, sending 23, receiving the train door parameter 24, reading 25, first forwarding 26, checking 27, second forwarding 28 and releasing and / or opening and / or closing 29.

[0062] In step 21 of the sampling process, a train door parameter is sampled using a switching unit, wherein the train door parameter includes a switching state in relation to an opening state of the train door.

[0063] In step 22 of the transmission, the train door parameter is transmitted to at least one RFID transponder via an RFID transponder sensor connection connected to the switching unit.

[0064] In step 23 of the transmission process, the train door parameter is sent via the transponder to at least one RFID antenna.

[0065] In step 24 of receiving, the train door parameter is received via the RFID antenna.

[0066] In step 25, the train door parameter is read using an RFID reading unit, and in step 26, the train door parameter is forwarded to a programmable logic controller.

[0067] In step 27 of the check, the train door parameter is checked for plausibility using a processing logic included in the programmable logic controller.

[0068] If the train door parameter is plausible, in step 28 the train door parameter is forwarded to a platform door control unit.

[0069] In step 29, the platform door is released, opened, or closed based on the train door parameter. Preferably, in step 29, the platform door is released, opened, or closed based on the train door parameter. In particular, in step 29, the platform door can be released based on the train door parameter. In particular, in step 29, the platform door can be opened based on the train door parameter. In particular, in step 29, the platform door can be opened based on the train door parameter. In particular, in step 29, the platform door can be closed based on the train door parameter.

[0070] The method 20 according to the invention can further comprise the steps of receiving an entry signal 30 and switching 31. In the receiving step 30, an entry signal of a train is received by means of the programmable logic controller (PLC), wherein the entry signal was transmitted, in particular, by a signal box. Triggered by the received entry signal, in the switching step 31 the RFID reading unit is switched into a receive-ready operating state by means of the programmable logic controller.

[0071] The inventive method 20 can further include the step of continuous communication between the at least one RFID transponder and the at least one RFID antenna as soon as a train is in the stopping area.

[0072] The plausibility check verifies the consistency of the continuously received train door parameters. This check can also include a topological perspective: a release signal indicating opening towards the side away from the platform might preferentially prevent the platform doors from opening. In particular, the direction-related opening information can be compared with train-specific information, such as the train's physical position on the track (where are driver's cab 1 and driver's cab 2 located), the expected platform side, and whether the release signal or opening signal is also given for that side.

[0073] To perform a plausibility check, a minimum number of reporting tags or RFID transponders are required.

[0074] Furthermore, a step of train identification can be included in procedure 20.

[0075] The programmable logic controller (PLC) and the RFID reader are time-synchronized. The PLC only processes train door parameters with a plausible timestamp. Only a valid and plausible train door parameter is passed from the PLC to the platform screen door control unit.

[0076] The train door parameter includes the switching state of releasing and / or opening a train door. The train door parameter can also include an individual train-specific parameter.

[0077] Triggered by a closing command to the train door, the opening and release information is withdrawn, so that the programmable logic controller outputs the default state to the platform door control unit, causing the platform doors to close.

[0078] Although the invention has been illustrated in detail by the preferred embodiment, the invention is not limited by the disclosed examples and other variations can be derived by the person skilled in the art without leaving the scope of protection of the invention. Reference symbol list

Method (20) for releasing and / or opening and / or closing platform doors comprising the following steps: - Retrieving (21) a train door parameter by means of a switching unit, wherein the train door parameter comprises a switching state in relation to an opening state of the train door; - Transmitting (22) the train door parameter by means of an RFID transponder sensor connection connected to the switching unit to at least one RFID transponder; - Sending (23) the train door parameter by means of the transponder to at least one RFID antenna; - Receiving (24) the train door parameter by means of the RFID antenna; - Reading (25) the train door parameter by means of an RFID reading unit and first forwarding (26) the train door parameter to a programmable logic controller; - Checking (27) the train door parameter for plausibility by means of a processing logic included in the programmable logic controller; - if the train door parameter is plausible, second forwarding (28) of the train door parameter to a platform door control unit, - releasing and / or opening and / or closing (29) the platform door based on the train door parameter.

7. Method according to claim 6, further comprising the steps: - Receiving (30) an entry signal of a train by means of the programmable logic controller, wherein the entry signal was in particular sent from a signal box, - Triggered by the received entry signal, switching (31) the RFID reading unit into a receive-ready operating state by means of the programmable logic controller.

8. Method according to one of claims 6 to 7, further comprising the step: - continuous communication of the at least one RFID transponder with the at least one RFID antenna as soon as a train is in the stopping area.

9. Method according to any one of claims 6 to 8, wherein the plausibility check verifies the consistency of the continuously received train door parameters.

10. Method according to any one of claims 6 to 9, wherein the programmable logic controller and the RFID reading unit are time-synchronized.

11. Method according to claim 10, wherein the programmable logic controller only processes train door parameters with a plausible timestamp.

12. Method according to one of claims 6 to 11, wherein only one valid and plausible train door parameter is forwarded from the programmable logic controller to the platform door control unit.

13. Method according to any one of claims 6 to 12, wherein the train door parameter comprises the switching state of releasing a train door and / or opening a train door.

14. Method according to any one of claims 6 to 13, wherein the train door parameter further comprises an individual train-specific train parameter.

15. Method according to one of claims 6 to 14, wherein, triggered by a closing command to the train door, the opening and release information is withdrawn, so that the programmable logic controller outputs the basic state to the platform door control unit, so that the platform doors are closed.
