[0001] Accessory, handpiece, interface device and cleaning device

[0002] The invention relates to an accessory for a handpiece of a cleaning device, in particular for a handpiece of a spray extraction device, which accessory comprises an accessory coupling section which is designed for detachable connection to the handpiece of the cleaning device.

[0003] The invention relates to a handpiece for a cleaning device, in particular in the form of a spray extraction device, which handpiece is connected or connectable to an accessory part, in particular a nozzle attachment, to form a suction nozzle device.

[0004] Furthermore, the invention relates to an interface device for a cleaning device system, in particular for a cleaning device system comprising a spray extraction device, which interface device is designed to connect a handpiece and an accessory part of the cleaning device system, wherein the interface device comprises a handpiece coupling section encompassed by the handpiece and an accessory coupling section encompassed by the accessory part, wherein the handpiece coupling section and the accessory coupling section are designed to be detachably connected to one another.

[0005] The present invention relates to a nozzle attachment in the form of an accessory which is connected or connectable to a handpiece of a cleaning device, in particular a spray extraction device, wherein the nozzle attachment comprises a nozzle suction channel with a proximal suction channel end and a distal suction channel end, wherein the nozzle attachment comprises an accessory coupling section on the proximal side which is designed for detachable connection to the handpiece of the cleaning device, wherein the distal suction channel end comprises a suction channel inlet for introducing a suction flow during operation of the nozzle attachment, wherein a suction chamber extends from the suction channel inlet in the proximal direction towards the accessory coupling section.

[0006] Furthermore, the invention relates to a suction nozzle device for a cleaning device, in particular for a spray extraction device, which suction nozzle device comprises a handpiece and at least one accessory part, in particular a nozzle attachment.

[0007] Furthermore, the invention relates to a cleaning hose for a cleaning device, in particular for a spray extraction device, wherein the cleaning hose comprises a hose suction channel with a first and a second hose suction channel end and a hose fluid channel with a first and a second hose fluid channel end, wherein the first hose suction channel end and the first hose fluid channel end are connected or connectable to a handpiece.

[0008] Furthermore, the invention relates to a cleaning device, in particular in the form of a spray extraction device, comprising a suction device, a conveying device, a suction connection and a cleaning fluid connection, wherein the suction device is fluidly connected to the suction connection and wherein the conveying device is fluidly connected to the cleaning fluid connection, wherein the cleaning device further comprises a cleaning hose connected or connectable to both the suction connection and the cleaning fluid connection.

[0009] Furthermore, the invention relates to a cleaning device system comprising a cleaning device, in particular in the form of a spray extraction device, comprising a suction device, a conveying device, a suction connection and a cleaning fluid connection, wherein the suction device is fluidly connected to the suction connection and wherein the conveying device is fluidly connected to the cleaning fluid connection, wherein the cleaning device further comprises a cleaning hose that is connected or connectable to both the suction connection and the cleaning fluid connection, wherein the cleaning device system further comprises a handpiece, an accessory and an interface device, wherein the handpiece is connected or connectable to the cleaning hose and wherein the interface device is designed to connect the handpiece and the accessory.

[0010] Handpieces of the type described above are known in a variety of forms, in particular from the unpublished German patent application 10 2022 111 008.7. The handpieces described therein can be coupled with various accessories, in particular, for wet cleaning floor surfaces and objects. In particular, the handpieces can be coupled with known nozzle attachments and used with cleaning devices in the form of spray extraction devices. These enable wet cleaning of a surface to be cleaned by applying a cleaning fluid to the surface to be cleaned. A dirty water solution comprising the applied cleaning fluid and the collected dirt is then drawn in and sucked away through the suction channel inlet in the nozzle attachment.

[0011] A particular problem with the use of accessories, handpieces and interface devices of the type described above is that they allow the coupling of handpieces and accessories that should not be used together.

[0012] It is therefore an object of the present invention, in particular, to improve an accessory, a handpiece, an interface device, a nozzle attachment, a suction nozzle device, a cleaning hose, a cleaning device and a cleaning device system of the type described above in such a way that safe use of the same is enabled.

[0013] This object is achieved according to the invention in an accessory for a handpiece of the type described above in that the accessory coupling section comprises an accessory coupling device for force-fitting and / or form-fitting engagement with a handpiece coupling device of the handpiece in a coupling position.

[0014] Developing an accessory in the proposed manner thus enables a user to easily change accessories depending on the cleaning task. If, for example, the handpiece is permanently connected to a cleaning hose, the user can exchange accessories as desired. In particular, the accessory coupling device and the handpiece coupling device can be connected to one another without tools. The accessory coupling device and the handpiece coupling device can, in particular, form an interface device of a cleaning device system, which is intended, in particular, to ensure that only approved accessories can be connected to the handpiece. In this way, incorrect operation and, in particular, damage to components of the cleaning device system, in particular the cleaning device or the handpiece, can be reliably prevented.

[0015] Preferably, the accessory is designed in the form of one of the nozzle attachments described above. The accessory has the advantages already described above in connection with preferred embodiments of nozzle attachments.

[0016] It is advantageous if the accessory is designed in the form of an extension tube. Such an extension tube can, in particular, be designed such that it can be coupled to the handpiece on the one hand and to another accessory on the other. This allows the user to clean a surface in the most ergonomic way possible.

[0017] It is advantageous if the extension tube comprises an extension tube coupling section on the distal side, which is configured to correspond to the accessory coupling section or corresponds or substantially corresponds to the handpiece coupling section. Such an extension tube coupling section enables, in particular, the extension tube to be connected to other accessories on the distal side in a force-fitting and / or form-fitting manner, as described above or will be described further below.

[0018] It is advantageous if the accessory coupling section comprises an accessory suction channel interface element and an accessory fluid channel interface element, if the accessory suction channel interface element is fluidly connected to a handpiece suction channel interface element in the coupling position, and if the accessory fluid channel interface element is fluidly connected to a handpiece fluid channel interface element in the coupling position. This configuration makes it possible, in particular, to conduct a cleaning fluid from the handpiece to the accessory and, in the opposite direction, a suction flow from the accessory to the handpiece. Thus, a coupling of two separate media channels can be realized.

[0019] To enable easy coupling between the handpiece and the accessory, it is advantageous if the accessory suction channel interface element tapers conically in the distal direction, defining a hollow cone. This allows for a positive connection with a corresponding conical handpiece suction channel interface element.

[0020] To enable a fluid-tight connection between the handpiece and the accessory, it is advantageous if a sealing surface facing in the proximal direction is formed on the distal side of the accessory suction channel interface element, which carries a sealing element acting in the proximal direction. This allows, in particular, a suction channel to be designed to be fluid-tight at the transition from the accessory to the handpiece.

[0021] Furthermore, it is advantageous if the accessory suction channel interface element defines a longitudinal axis of the accessory suction channel interface and if guide ribs extend parallel to and pointing toward the longitudinal axis of the accessory suction channel interface element from an inner wall of the accessory suction channel interface element. For example, a handpiece suction channel interface element that tapers conically in the distal direction can be reliably inserted into the accessory suction channel interface element without excessive jamming. Furthermore, the guide ribs can also minimize wear on the interacting components.

[0022] In order to enable a defined coupling between the accessory and the handpiece, it is advantageous if the accessory coupling section defines an accessory end surface pointing in the proximal direction.

[0023] Preferably, the accessory end surface defines an end surface plane that runs transversely, in particular perpendicularly, to the longitudinal axis of the accessory suction channel interface. This enables a simple and reliable coupling between the accessory and the handpiece.

[0024] Furthermore, it is advantageous if a longitudinal groove extending parallel to the longitudinal axis of the accessory suction channel interface is formed on the accessory suction channel interface element, and if the longitudinal groove is open in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the accessory suction channel interface. This longitudinal groove can, in particular, be used to engage with a corresponding projection on the handpiece. It is also advantageous because it can minimize the use of material on the accessory part. The longitudinal groove is preferably designed such that a groove base separates the accessory suction channel from the accessory fluid channel.

[0025] To achieve optimal coupling between the accessory and the handpiece, it is advantageous if the accessory coupling device comprises at least one accessory coupling element, which engages with at least one corresponding handpiece coupling element of the handpiece coupling device in the coupling position. In particular, the at least one accessory coupling element, in conjunction with the at least one handpiece coupling element, can absorb forces acting on the interface elements, i.e., the accessory suction channel interface element and the accessory fluid channel interface element, on the one hand, and the handpiece suction channel interface element and the handpiece fluid channel interface element, on the other. Thus, forces acting during cleaning can be optimally absorbed to prevent unwanted damage to the interface elements. In addition, the accessory coupling elements and the handpiece coupling elements can also be used to implement coding so that only certain accessories approved by a manufacturer can be coupled with a handpiece of the manufacturer.

[0026] The at least one accessory coupling element can be easily formed in the form of a coupling recess. For example, the coupling recess can be formed in the form of an opening in the accessory part.

[0027] It is advantageous if the coupling recess is designed in the form of a blind hole. This allows the accessory coupling element to serve, in particular, to limit the movement of the accessory and the handpiece toward each other.

[0028] Preferably, the coupling recess tapers conically in cross-section in the distal direction. This allows for centering when the accessory and handpiece are brought together.

[0029] In order to be able to design the interface device as compactly as possible, it is advantageous if the at least one accessory coupling element is arranged or formed in the region between the accessory suction channel interface element and the accessory fluid channel interface element.

[0030] To further improve the stability of a connection between the accessory part and the handpiece, it is advantageous if the accessory coupling device comprises two accessory coupling elements that are arranged or configured symmetrically with respect to a plane of symmetry of the accessory part. It is advantageous if the at least one accessory coupling element defines an accessory coupling element longitudinal axis that runs transversely, in particular perpendicularly, to the accessory end face. This makes it easier, in particular, to engage the at least one accessory coupling element and the at least one handpiece coupling element. In particular, tilting of the same during engagement can be avoided.

[0031] To ensure that all components of the accessory and handpiece can mesh together without jamming, it is advantageous if the longitudinal axis of the accessory suction channel interface runs parallel to the longitudinal axis of the accessory coupling element. If the accessory and handpiece are aligned accordingly, the interface elements and the coupling elements of the accessory and handpiece can be easily and securely engaged.

[0032] Furthermore, it is advantageous if the accessory fluid channel interface element defines an accessory fluid channel interface longitudinal axis that runs transversely, in particular perpendicularly, to the accessory end surface. In this way, it is particularly possible to engage the handpiece fluid channel interface with the accessory fluid channel interface by a movement parallel to the accessory fluid channel interface longitudinal axis.

[0033] It is advantageous if the accessory fluid channel interface element is designed in the form of a connection recess for a fluid connection protruding from the handpiece. The fluid connection can, in particular, be pin-shaped and carry one or more sealing elements in order to be able to seal the fluid connection fluid-tight relative to the connection recess.

[0034] Preferably, the connection recess comprises a connection recess section that is rotationally asymmetrical with respect to the accessory fluid channel interface longitudinal axis. This configuration allows for further coding of the interface device. Furthermore, it can be used for defined positioning of the handpiece and accessory part during engagement.

[0035] The connection recess section can be easily formed if it has a flat section surface extending parallel to and facing the longitudinal axis of the accessory fluid channel interface. Such a section surface can also be used, in particular, as an anti-twist device. For example, such a connection recess can also be used in an accessory that does not include an accessory fluid channel, i.e., in an accessory that is designed purely as a suction nozzle, for example.

[0036] The design of the accessory can be further simplified if the section surface extends perpendicular to the plane of symmetry.

[0037] It is advantageous if the accessory coupling device includes a locking device to secure the coupling position. The locking device thus serves, in particular, to prevent the accessory and the handpiece from accidentally detaching from the coupling position.

[0038] The securing device can be designed in a simple manner if it comprises cooperating first and second securing elements, if the first and second securing elements are arranged or formed on the one hand on the accessory part and on the handpiece, and if the first and second securing elements are engaged in a securing position to prevent movement of the accessory part and the handpiece away from one another starting from the coupling position and are disengaged in a release position to enable movement of the accessory part and the handpiece away from one another starting from the coupling position. It is advantageous if the first and second securing elements are movable relative to one another in a securing direction transversely, in particular perpendicularly, to the longitudinal axis of the accessory suction channel interface in order to transfer the securing device from the securing position to the release position. This design, in particular, makes it possible to design the securing device so that it acts in a direction that is linearly oriented independently of the longitudinal axis of the accessory suction channel interface. This allows the accessory and the handpiece to be reliably secured to one another.

[0039] It is advantageous if the first and second securing elements are designed in the form of a securing projection and a securing receptacle that engages with the securing projection in the securing position. These securing elements can be formed in a simple manner.

[0040] For handling the accessory, it is advantageous if the securing projection is movably arranged on the accessory and can be moved from a basic position, in which the securing device assumes the securing position and the securing projection projects into the accessory suction channel interface element, out of the accessory suction channel interface element against the action of a prestressing element to transfer the securing device into the unlocking position, in which the securing projection assumes a deflected position deflected from the basic position and releases the accessory suction channel interface element. To remove the accessory from the handpiece, therefore, only the securing projection needs to be moved from its basic position into the deflected deflected position. The accessory and the handpiece can then be pulled apart.

[0041] Preferably, the securing projection is pivotably mounted on the accessory part about a pivot axis extending transversely, in particular perpendicularly, to the longitudinal axis of the accessory suction channel interface. The securing projection can thus be arranged, for example, on or at an actuating rocker. A user can actuate this rocker by pivoting it about the pivot axis against the action of a prestressing element, whereby the securing projection then releases the accessory suction channel interface element and can also be disengaged from the securing recess.

[0042] It is advantageous if the securing projection has a distally facing retaining surface and a proximally facing sliding surface. This design, in particular, enables the securing projection to be automatically transferred from the home position to the deflected position when the accessory and handpiece are brought together. The retaining surface designed as proposed can prevent the accessory from being pulled off the handpiece in the distal direction when the securing device assumes the locking position.

[0043] The object stated at the outset is achieved according to the invention in a nozzle attachment of the type described at the outset in that the suction channel inlet is designed in the shape of a slot, that the suction chamber is delimited by a suction chamber underside, a suction chamber top side and a suction chamber wall connecting the suction chamber underside and the suction chamber top side, and that the suction chamber is designed in particular to form a laminar or substantially laminar flow of a suction stream from the suction channel inlet to the accessory coupling section.

[0044] The specially designed suction chamber, in conjunction with the suction channel inlet, enables the formation of a laminar or essentially laminar flow of the suction stream through the nozzle attachment. The more laminar the flow, the lower the energy loss in the area of the nozzle attachment. This allows for better cleaning results with the same electrical power, or a comparable cleaning result to that of conventional devices with lower electrical power consumption. A slot-shaped suction channel inlet also enables good airflow along the entire length of the suction channel inlet. To ensure effective cleaning of flat floor surfaces, it is advantageous for an inlet slot defined by the suction channel inlet to be designed to run in a straight line.

[0045] It is advantageous if the suction chamber wall comprises two suction chamber sections extending proximally from the suction channel inlet, facing each other, which run parallel or substantially parallel to each other directly at the suction channel inlet. In particular, they can enclose an angle ranging from approximately 170° to approximately 190°, and in particular, the angle can be within a range of approximately 175° to approximately 185°. This configuration of the suction chamber wall sections, starting from the suction channel inlet, allows for a substantially laminar flow through the suction channel inlet and then also further through the suction chamber.

[0046] According to a further preferred embodiment, the distance between the suction chamber wall sections facing each other can decrease, in particular continuously, in the proximal direction from the suction channel inlet. This configuration makes it possible, in particular, to convert the contour of the suction channel inlet to a particularly circular cross-sectional contour, in order to ultimately guide the suction flow through a hose suction channel of a cleaning hose with a circular or substantially circular cross-section to the cleaning device.

[0047] Preferably, the suction chamber wall distance decreases non-linearly, starting from the suction channel inlet in a suction channel inlet section. This can be achieved in particular by the suction chamber wall sections in the region of the suction channel inlet section extending in a proximal direction towards one another. Furthermore, it is advantageous if a constriction section extending in the proximal direction adjoins the suction channel inlet section on the proximal side and if the suction chamber wall distance decreases linearly in the constriction section. Such a nozzle attachment can then have a substantially triangular contour, particularly in the constriction section. However, this contour does not extend as far as the suction channel inlet, since the suction chamber wall distance decreases non-linearly rather than linearly in the suction channel inlet section. The special design of the constriction section can in particular prevent turbulent flow from developing in the suction chamber.

[0048] It is advantageous if the suction chamber wall sections delimiting the constriction section enclose a constriction angle that lies in a range of approximately 70° to approximately 110°. In particular, it can be in a range of approximately 80° to approximately 90°. This allows the nozzle attachment to be designed simply and compactly.

[0049] It is advantageous if the suction chamber wall forms an angle with the suction chamber underside that is less than 90°. In particular, this angle can range between approximately 85° and approximately 60°. Such a configuration makes it possible, in particular, to create a type of dovetail connection between the suction chamber top and the suction chamber underside if the suction chamber top is encompassed by a cover that can be coupled to the suction chamber underside. This particularly improves the stability of the nozzle attachment by, for example, positively engaging the suction chamber underside and the suction chamber top with one another.

[0050] It is advantageous if the nozzle attachment comprises a nozzle attachment main part and a cover, if the nozzle attachment main part defines the suction chamber underside and if the cover defines the suction chamber top side. In particular, the cover and the nozzle attachment main part can be designed to be detachably connectable to one another. This enables, in particular, easy cleaning of the nozzle attachment, in particular its suction chamber, by removing the cover from the nozzle attachment main part.

[0051] The nozzle attachment can be formed from essentially two parts if the main nozzle attachment part encompasses the suction chamber wall. This can then be designed, in particular, to protrude from the main nozzle attachment part in a flange-like manner.

[0052] The production of the nozzle attachment can be further simplified by designing the suction chamber wall and the nozzle attachment main part as a single piece, particularly monolithic. For example, they can be manufactured from a plastic material by injection molding.

[0053] It is advantageous if the cover has two cover wall sections adapted to the suction chamber wall, in particular extending from the suction channel inlet to the accessory coupling section, which, in the operating position, lie flat against the suction chamber wall. In particular, the cover wall sections can be used to couple the cover to the main nozzle attachment part, particularly in a form-fitting manner, if the suction chamber wall sections are angled or slanted relative to the suction chamber underside, as described above.

[0054] To enable optimal connection of the cover to the main nozzle attachment part, it is advantageous if the cover has an outwardly projecting cover edge pointing away from the suction chamber, which, in the operating position, rests flatly on a suction chamber wall edge pointing toward the top of the suction chamber. In particular, this allows an outer contour of the nozzle attachment to be formed without significant recesses in an area where the cover and the main nozzle attachment part engage with each other.

[0055] Preferably, the cover edge protrudes from the cover wall sections, pointing away from the suction chamber. This allows the suction chamber wall edge of the suction chamber to be easily concealed by the cover edge of the cover.

[0056] It is advantageous if the nozzle attachment includes a connecting device for force-fitting and / or positive-locking the cover and the nozzle attachment body in an operating position. This design, as already mentioned, allows the cover to be separated from the nozzle attachment body, for example, for cleaning the nozzle attachment, and then reconnected to clean a surface using the nozzle attachment in conjunction with a cleaning device.

[0057] The nozzle attachment main part and the cover can be connected to each other in a simple manner if the connecting device is designed in the form of a locking or snap-in connection device.

[0058] Advantageously, the connecting device comprises cooperating first and second connecting elements, which are arranged or formed on the one hand on the main nozzle attachment part and on the other hand on the cover. These can engage with each other in a force-locking and / or positive-locking manner, particularly in the operating position.

[0059] The nozzle attachment can be easily formed if the first and second connecting elements are designed as interacting connecting projections and connecting receptacles. For example, these connecting elements can be arranged or formed on interacting surfaces or components of the nozzle attachment main body and the cover.

[0060] It is advantageous if at least one of the connecting elements is arranged or formed on the suction chamber wall. Thus, the at least one connecting element can be formed, in particular, integrally on the main nozzle attachment part, which further improves the stability of the nozzle attachment. Furthermore, it is advantageous if the connecting elements on the suction chamber wall are designed to cooperate with corresponding connecting elements on the cover wall sections. For example, these can serve to secure the cover to the main nozzle attachment part in such a way that it cannot fall off the main nozzle attachment part of its own accord in the distal direction.

[0061] To secure the cover to the main nozzle attachment part as efficiently and simply as possible, it is advantageous if the connecting elements on the suction chamber wall and on the cover wall sections define longitudinal connection directions that extend transversely, in particular perpendicularly, to the underside of the suction chamber. Thus, the interacting connecting elements can, in particular, prevent movement of the cover relative to the main nozzle attachment part in the direction of the suction channel inlet.

[0062] The connecting device can be easily configured if the connection receptacle is designed in the form of a connecting groove and if a corresponding connecting projection is designed in the form of a connecting flange. This allows the interacting connecting elements to engage with each other in a form-fitting manner in the operating position of the nozzle attachment.

[0063] It is advantageous if a boundary surface of the connecting groove is formed by a bottom surface of the suction chamber underside that bounds the suction chamber, and if the connecting flange is designed to protrude from a cover wall section edge of the cover wall section and away from the suction chamber. Such a configuration enables, in particular, securing the cover to the nozzle attachment main part in such a way that the cover is prevented from being lifted off the nozzle attachment main part in a direction from the suction chamber underside toward the suction chamber top.According to a further preferred embodiment, it can be provided that a cross-sectional shape of the suction chamber changes in the proximal direction starting from the suction channel inlet and that a size of a cross-sectional area defined by the suction chamber is the same or substantially the same regardless of the cross-sectional shape and corresponds or substantially corresponds to a suction channel inlet cross-sectional area defined by the suction channel inlet. In other words, the proposed development makes it possible to form a suction flow originating from the suction channel inlet, which flows toward a proximal end of the nozzle attachment, wherein the suction chamber cross-sectional area remains constant or essentially constant, even if its shape changes, for example, from an elongated, narrow rectangular inlet slot forming the suction channel inlet to a circular cross-sectional outlet of the suction chamber at a proximal end thereof. Because the suction chamber cross-sectional area remains constant or essentially constant despite the changing cross-sectional shape, a laminar or essentially laminar flow of a suction flow through the nozzle attachment can be achieved.

[0064] It is advantageous if the nozzle attachment comprises at least one spacer element, which is arranged or configured in the region of the suction channel inlet to keep the upper side of the suction chamber and the lower side of the suction chamber spaced apart from one another. This can, in particular, prevent forces acting on the lower side of the suction chamber or the upper side of the suction chamber when a suction flow passes through the nozzle attachment from causing the suction channel inlet to deform, in particular to become smaller. The spacer elements prevent a change in the distance from occurring here.

[0065] The nozzle attachment can be easily configured if the at least one spacer element is arranged or formed on the underside of the suction chamber or the top of the suction chamber. It is particularly advantageous to arrange the at least one spacer element on the cover. This allows for a substantially protrusion-free underside of the suction chamber on the main part of the nozzle attachment, which can be easily cleaned.

[0066] Especially with very wide nozzle attachments, it is advantageous to provide several spacers. This allows the suction chamber bottom and top to be reliably kept at a specified distance from each other across the entire length of the suction channel inlet.

[0067] To avoid unduly impeding the flow of dirty water through the suction channel inlet, it is advantageous if the at least one spacer element is arranged or designed to be set back from the suction channel inlet in the proximal direction. This prevents the at least one spacer element from becoming undesirably caught on deep-pile carpets or the like, for example.

[0068] According to a further preferred embodiment, it can be provided that a distance between the underside of the suction chamber and the upper side of the suction chamber defines a suction chamber height and that the suction chamber height increases in the proximal direction starting from the suction channel inlet. In particular, it can increase linearly or non-linearly. This configuration makes it possible, in particular, to easily compensate for a suction chamber wall distance that decreases in the proximal direction in order to nevertheless keep the suction chamber cross-sectional area defined by the suction chamber the same or essentially the same. If the suction chamber becomes narrower by a suction chamber wall distance becoming smaller, the suction chamber height is conversely increased in the proximal direction in order to keep the suction chamber cross-sectional area constant, regardless of the distance of the respective suction chamber cross-sectional area from the suction channel inlet.

[0069] The nozzle attachment can be easily formed if the upper surface of the suction chamber is flat or substantially flat. Furthermore, it is advantageous if the lower surface of the suction chamber is flat or substantially flat. In particular, the suction chamber height can increase linearly or substantially linearly in the proximal direction, starting from the suction channel inlet.

[0070] In particular, to ensure that a suction chamber cross-sectional area is constant or essentially the same, regardless of the cross-sectional shape of the suction chamber, starting from the suction channel inlet in the proximal direction, it is advantageous if the suction chamber underside has a suction chamber recess. The suction chamber recess can, in particular, be shaped such that any changes in the suction chamber cross-sectional area can be compensated for, taking into account a changing suction chamber wall distance and / or a changing suction chamber height.

[0071] Preferably, the suction chamber recess is formed in the region of the constriction section. In this region, the distance from the suction chamber wall, as well as the suction chamber height, preferably change linearly.

[0072] It is advantageous if the suction chamber recess is drop-shaped, in particular with rounded transitions to the suction chamber underside, and has a recess width that increases in the proximal direction from a distal end of the suction chamber recess. This allows, in particular, a smooth transition from a rectangular cross-sectional shape starting from the suction channel inlet to a circular cross-sectional shape at the proximal end of the suction chamber to be achieved without affecting the suction flow, in particular its laminarity.

[0073] Preferably, the recess width has a maximum between the distal recess end and the accessory coupling section and decreases from the maximum in the proximal direction. This makes it possible, in particular, to design the suction chamber recess such that its depth increases in the proximal direction. Thus, the suction chamber cross-sectional area can be kept essentially constant over the entire extension of the suction chamber.

[0074] The suction chamber cross-sectional area can be easily kept constant if the suction chamber depth increases in relation to the suction chamber bottom in a proximal direction, starting from the distal end of the recess. In particular, it can increase up to the accessory coupling section. In this way, changes in the suction chamber cross-sectional area caused by changing suction chamber wall distances and / or a changing suction chamber height can be easily compensated to keep the suction chamber cross-sectional area constant.

[0075] The nozzle attachment can be easily designed if it is mirror-symmetrical to a mirror plane that runs perpendicular to the top or bottom of the suction chamber. The mirror plane thus forms a plane of symmetry for the nozzle attachment.

[0076] To ensure that flat surfaces can be cleaned effectively with the nozzle attachment, it is advantageous if the suction channel inlet defines a suction channel inlet plane. This plane can be inclined relative to planes defined by the bottom or top of the suction chamber. Depending on the relative inclination of these components, the ergonomics of the nozzle attachment can be improved.

[0077] Furthermore, it is advantageous if the nozzle attachment comprises lateral spray protection walls, which are arranged or designed to protrude from the underside of the suction chamber. This configuration is particularly advantageous if the nozzle attachment has a fluid outlet for applying a cleaning fluid to the surface to be cleaned. The spray protection walls thus prevent, in particular, the lateral application of cleaning fluid next to the nozzle attachment. Cleaning fluid can thus be applied to the surface to be cleaned precisely in the area over which the nozzle attachment with the suction channel inlet can then be moved in order to collect the applied cleaning fluid with dirt on the surface to be cleaned as a dirty water solution.

[0078] Advantageously, the spray shields extend proximally from the suction channel inlet plane. The spray shields thus provide optimal support for the nozzle attachment on the surface to be cleaned, not only through the suction channel inlet, but also through the distal edges of the spray shields, which are located in the suction channel inlet plane.

[0079] It is advantageous if the height of the spray protection walls decreases in relation to the suction chamber bottom, starting from the suction channel inlet in a proximal direction. This makes it possible, in particular, to create a nozzle attachment that is as compact as possible, with spray protection walls only where they are actually needed to prevent wetting of an area adjacent to the nozzle attachment that is not directly to be cleaned.

[0080] For the stability of the nozzle attachment, it is particularly advantageous if at least one stabilizing projection is arranged or formed on the underside of the suction chamber, protruding away from the suction chamber, extending transversely, in particular perpendicularly, to a plane of symmetry of the nozzle attachment. The plane of symmetry can, in particular, be the aforementioned mirror plane.

[0081] In order to make it more difficult or even completely prevent deformation of the spray protection walls during operation of the nozzle attachment, it is advantageous if the stabilizing projection runs parallel to the suction channel inlet and connects the spray protection walls to one another.

[0082] To enable, in particular, wet cleaning of a surface to be cleaned with the nozzle attachment, it is advantageous if the nozzle attachment comprises a nozzle fluid channel that is fluidically separated from the nozzle suction channel and has a proximal nozzle fluid channel end and a distal nozzle fluid channel end, wherein a fluid outlet for discharging a cleaning fluid is arranged or formed at the distal nozzle fluid channel end. Thus, cleaning fluid can be discharged, in particular, from the fluid outlet to moisten the surface to be cleaned. The cleaning fluid can then be drawn into the suction chamber through the suction channel inlet with the collected dirt as a dirt liquor.

[0083] For ease of use when cleaning the surface to be cleaned, it is advantageous if the fluid outlet is located or configured below the underside of the suction chamber, in the area of the transition from the suction chamber to the accessory coupling section. In particular, the fluid outlet is open in the distal direction. This allows the surface to be cleaned to be easily moistened. To vacuum away the dirty water, the user simply needs to pull the nozzle attachment toward them, so that the suction channel inlet is moved over the moistened surface.

[0084] Preferably, the fluid outlet is set back proximally from the suction channel inlet. This prevents cleaning fluid from being sprayed onto the underside of the suction chamber.

[0085] To ensure the cleaning fluid is applied as evenly as possible and to avoid excessive localized wetting, it is advantageous for the fluid outlet to include a nozzle. In particular, the nozzle can be a spray nozzle or similar.

[0086] The nozzle attachment can be adapted in particular to special cleaning tasks if the nozzle is designed as a separate component and can be detachably connected to the distal end of the nozzle fluid channel. In particular, it can be designed so that it can be screwed to the distal end of the nozzle fluid channel. This allows the nozzle to be replaced if necessary. Furthermore, it can also be made of a different material than, for example, the main part of the nozzle attachment or the cover of the nozzle attachment. In particular, the nozzle can be made of a metallic material. It is advantageous if the fluid outlet defines a free fluid outlet cross-section, if the suction channel inlet defines a free suction channel inlet cross-section, and if a ratio of cross-sectional areas defined by the fluid outlet cross-section and the suction channel inlet cross-section lies in a range from approximately 1 / 100 to approximately 1 / 20.In particular, the ratio can range from approximately 1 / 100 to approximately 1 / 50. This reliably prevents excessive wetting of the surface to be cleaned.

[0087] According to a further preferred embodiment, the accessory coupling section can comprise an accessory fluid channel, in particular in the form of a nozzle fluid channel, which is fluidly connected to the fluid outlet and comprises a fluid channel inlet open in the proximal direction. Thus, the nozzle attachment can be designed, in particular, as a nozzle attachment for a spray extraction device. The nozzle attachment can then be used to apply a cleaning fluid and simultaneously absorb a dirty solution.

[0088] It is advantageous if the accessory coupling section comprises an accessory suction channel, in particular in the form of the nozzle suction channel, which is fluidly connected to the suction chamber and comprises a suction channel outlet open in the proximal direction. This configuration makes it possible, in particular, to couple the nozzle attachment to a suction channel that is fluidly connected to a suction device of a cleaning device.

[0089] The object stated at the outset is further achieved according to the invention in a handpiece of the type described at the outset in that the handpiece comprises a handpiece coupling section for detachable connection to the accessory part.

[0090] The proposed refinement, in particular, allows a handpiece to be selectively coupled with different accessories. This allows the most suitable accessory to be used for each cleaning task.

[0091] It is advantageous if the handpiece coupling section comprises a handpiece coupling device for force-fitting and / or positive engagement with the accessory coupling device in the coupling position. The handpiece coupling device allows the handpiece and accessory part to be reliably connected to one another by force-fitting and / or positive engagement with the accessory coupling device in the coupling position.

[0092] It is advantageous if the handpiece coupling section comprises a handpiece suction channel interface element and a handpiece fluid channel interface element, if the handpiece suction channel interface element is fluidly connected to an accessory suction channel interface element in the coupling position, and if the handpiece fluid channel interface element is fluidly connected to an accessory fluid channel interface element in the coupling position. Configuring a handpiece in this way makes it possible, in particular, to guide two media channels through the handpiece, namely a fluid channel and a suction channel, in order, on the one hand, to conduct a cleaning fluid in the distal direction to the accessory part and, on the other hand, to direct a suction flow from the accessory part through the handpiece to a cleaning device, for example, into a dirt collection container thereof.

[0093] The handpiece can be designed in a simple manner if the handpiece suction channel interface element tapers conically in the distal direction and defines a conical tube section. In particular, good mechanical coupling can be achieved in conjunction with a hollow cone on the accessory part, which forms the accessory suction channel interface element of the accessory part. The conical design also makes it possible, in particular, to clamp the interacting interface elements in the coupling position in order to realize the most mechanically stable connection possible between the handpiece and the accessory part. Furthermore, it is advantageous if an edge surface pointing in the distal direction is formed on the distal side of the handpiece suction channel interface element, which edge surface interacts in the coupling position with a sealing element acting in the proximal direction on the accessory suction channel interface element. This allows a fluid-tight coupling of the handpiece and accessory part to be achieved in the area of a suction channel.

[0094] The design of the handpiece can be further simplified if the handpiece coupling section defines a handpiece end surface facing distally. In particular, this end surface can be designed to lie flat against a corresponding accessory end surface in the coupling position.

[0095] Preferably, the handpiece element surface defines an end surface plane that runs transversely, in particular perpendicularly, to a handpiece suction channel interface longitudinal axis. This makes it possible, in particular, to design the handpiece suction channel interface so that it protrudes from the handpiece in a defined manner, namely from the handpiece end surface.

[0096] It is advantageous if the handpiece coupling device comprises at least one handpiece coupling element, which engages with at least one corresponding accessory coupling element of the accessory coupling device in the coupling position. As already mentioned in connection with the accessory part, this makes it possible to enable a particularly mechanically stable connection between the handpiece and the accessory part in the coupling position.

[0097] The handpiece can be easily configured if the at least one handpiece coupling element is designed in the form of a coupling projection. It is advantageous if the coupling projection tapers conically in cross-section in the distal direction. It can then be positively engaged, in particular, with a corresponding hollow-conical coupling recess on the accessory part in order to effectively prevent transverse movement between the handpiece and the accessory part.

[0098] Furthermore, it is advantageous if a peripheral edge protrudes from a distally facing end surface of the coupling projection. This edge can serve, in particular, as a stop surface to limit the insertion depth in the accessory.

[0099] It is advantageous if the at least one handpiece coupling element is arranged or formed in the area between the handpiece suction channel interface element and the handpiece fluid channel interface element. This allows the handpiece to be designed particularly compactly.

[0100] Preferably, the handpiece coupling device comprises two handpiece coupling elements that are arranged or configured symmetrically with respect to a plane of symmetry of the handpiece. The two handpiece coupling elements can, for example, be engaged with corresponding accessory coupling elements in the coupling position to improve the mechanical connection between the handpiece and the accessory.

[0101] It is advantageous if the at least one handpiece coupling element defines a handpiece coupling element longitudinal axis that runs transversely, in particular perpendicularly, to the handpiece end face. Thus, a coupling between the handpiece and the accessory can be easily achieved if the handpiece and the accessory are moved toward each other in the direction of the handpiece coupling element longitudinal axis.

[0102] Advantageously, the handpiece suction channel interface longitudinal axis runs parallel to the handpiece coupling element longitudinal axis. This makes it possible, in particular, to engage the handpiece suction channel interface with the accessory suction channel interface, on the one hand, and the at least one handpiece coupling element with the at least one accessory coupling element, without tilting.

[0103] Furthermore, it is advantageous if the handpiece fluid channel interface element defines a handpiece fluid channel interface longitudinal axis that runs transversely, in particular perpendicularly, to the handpiece end face. In particular, the handpiece fluid channel interface longitudinal axis can run parallel to the handpiece coupling element longitudinal axis to enable simple, jam-free engagement of the interface elements and the coupling elements of the interface device.

[0104] According to a further preferred embodiment, the handpiece fluid channel interface element can be designed in the form of a fluid connection protruding from the handpiece end surface for insertion into a corresponding connection recess of the accessory coupling section. In particular, one or more sealing elements can be arranged or formed on the fluid connection in order to be able to seal the fluid connection relative to the connection recess.

[0105] It is advantageous if the fluid connection comprises a fluid connection section that is rotationally asymmetrical with respect to the longitudinal axis of the handpiece fluid channel interface. This can be used, in particular, as an anti-twist device when the handpiece and the accessory are coupled together. The fluid connection section can, in particular, be designed to correspond to the connection recess section on the accessory, so that a positive connection of the two elements is possible, especially in this case.

[0106] To enable simple anti-twisting in the area of the fluid connection, it is advantageous if the fluid connection section has a flat guide surface extending parallel to the longitudinal axis of the handpiece fluid channel interface and pointing away from it. This guide surface can, particularly in the coupling position, rest against the section surface of the connection recess section of the accessory part, thus preventing rotation of the handpiece and accessory part, particularly around the longitudinal axis of the handpiece fluid channel interface.

[0107] The design of the handpiece can be further simplified if the guide surface extends perpendicular to the plane of symmetry.

[0108] Furthermore, it is advantageous if the handpiece coupling device comprises a locking device for securing the coupling position. This prevents, in particular, the handpiece and the accessory from becoming undesirably detached from one another when they assume the coupling position.

[0109] The securing device can be easily implemented if it comprises cooperating first and second securing elements, if the first and second securing elements are arranged or formed on the one hand on the accessory and on the handpiece, and if the first and second securing elements are engaged in a securing position to prevent the accessory and the handpiece from moving away from one another starting from the coupling position, and are disengaged in a releasing position to allow the accessory and the handpiece to move away from one another starting from the coupling position. In other words, the handpiece and the accessory can be secured in the coupling position, i.e., cannot be released from one another, if the cooperating first and second securing elements are engaged, so that the securing device assumes the securing position.

[0110] Preferably, the first and second securing elements are movable relative to one another in a direction transverse, in particular perpendicular, to the longitudinal axis of the handpiece suction channel interface for transferring the securing device from the securing position to the unlocking position. A relative movement can, in particular, provide for one of the two securing elements to be movable, for example, on the handpiece or on the accessory. It is also conceivable for both securing elements, on the one hand on the handpiece and on the other hand on the accessory, to be movable relative to the handpiece and the accessory.

[0111] Furthermore, it is advantageous if the first and second securing elements are designed in the form of a securing projection and a securing receptacle that engages with the securing projection in the securing position. A securing receptacle can be easily implemented. It can be formed either on the accessory or on the handpiece.

[0112] Advantageously, the safety receptacle is formed on the handpiece. For example, the handpiece suction channel interface element can be designed such that it can be inserted into the accessory suction channel interface element. The safety projection can then be movably arranged on the accessory, in particular on an outer side of the accessory, so that it can be easily actuated by a user.

[0113] Advantageously, the safety receptacle on the handpiece suction channel interface element is open in the radial direction, pointing away from the longitudinal axis of the handpiece suction channel interface. This allows for a simple design of the safety receptacle. Furthermore, it can be formed, in particular, as a recess or blind hole on the handpiece suction channel interface element, thereby avoiding an undesired perforation on the handpiece suction channel interface element, which could lead to undefined leakage of air.

[0114] Furthermore, it is advantageous if the securing receptacle has a retaining surface on the distal side facing in the proximal direction. For example, a securing projection can engage in the securing receptacle such that its retaining surface rests against the retaining surface in the securing position, thereby preventing movement of the accessory in the distal direction away from the handpiece. To enable reliable securing of the handpiece in the coupling position, the retaining surface defines an undercut.

[0115] The object stated at the outset is further achieved according to the invention in a handpiece of the type described at the outset in that the handpiece comprises a handpiece suction channel and a handpiece fluid channel, in that the handpiece suction channel and the handpiece fluid channel extend from a distal handpiece end, in particular a handpiece coupling section, to a proximal handpiece end.

[0116] Such a handpiece can be used, in particular, in conjunction with a cleaning device in the form of a spray extraction device. Thus, on the one hand, a suction flow can be directed through the handpiece, namely through the handpiece suction channel, and, on the other hand, a cleaning fluid can be directed through the handpiece fluid channel, in particular from a cleaning device to a fluid outlet on an accessory.

[0117] Handling a cleaning device, in particular a spray extraction device, is improved for a user in particular by a valve device arranged or configured on the handpiece for opening and closing the handpiece fluid channel. Thus, a user can guide the handpiece and an accessory, for example, arranged on or coupled to it, with one hand to clean a surface to be cleaned. Furthermore, they can also specifically control the discharge of cleaning fluid, namely by actuating the valve device. For example, this valve device can be configured to be actuated with a finger of a hand holding the handpiece.

[0118] It is advantageous if the valve device comprises a valve member and an actuating member, if the valve member is movably mounted in the handpiece fluid channel and closes the handpiece fluid channel in a closed position and at least partially releases the handpiece fluid channel in an open position, if the actuating member is designed to interact with the valve member and is movable, against the action of a prestressing element, from a basic position in which the valve member assumes the closed position into an actuating position in which the valve member assumes the open position. Such a valve device easily enables a user to open the handpiece fluid channel to allow a flow of cleaning fluid through the handpiece, or to close the handpiece fluid channel to prevent the discharge of cleaning fluid. The preloading element, for example, a compression or tension spring, makes it possible to design the valve device in such a way that the actuating element automatically assumes its home position when not actuated. This ensures that the handpiece fluid channel is always closed when the actuating element is not actuated. To discharge fluid, the user must then precisely move the actuating element from the home position to the actuated position.

[0119] In order to achieve a particularly good seal of the handpiece fluid channel in the closed position, it is advantageous if the pre-tensioning element interacts directly with the valve member and keeps it under pre-tension in the closed position.

[0120] It is advantageous if the valve member defines a valve member axis and is movable parallel to it, if the actuating member defines an actuating axis and is arranged or configured to be movable parallel to it, and if the valve member axis and the actuating axis run transversely to each other. In this way, the actuating member can be arranged practically anywhere on the handpiece, ensuring ergonomic handling of the handpiece regardless of the orientation of the valve member axis on the handpiece.

[0121] It is advantageous if the actuating member and the valve member have interacting active surfaces that slide against each other when the valve device is moved from the closed position to the open position. This allows for force redirection, particularly when the valve member axis and the actuating axis run transversely to each other. For example, the active surfaces can form beveled or rounded surfaces on the valve member or actuating member relative to the aforementioned axes.

[0122] The handpiece preferably comprises a holding device for holding the valve device in the open position. Such a holding device allows the user to work comfortably with the handpiece, as they do not have to constantly keep the actuating element activated for continuous fluid discharge. For this purpose, they can use the holding device, which can specifically and permanently hold the valve device in the open position.

[0123] The holding device can be designed in a simple manner if it comprises a holding element that can be moved from a release position, in which the actuating member can be automatically transferred from the actuating position to the home position by the action of the prestressing element, into a holding position in which it holds the actuating member in the actuating position and prevents it from moving back to the home position. For continuous discharge of cleaning fluid, the holding element only needs to be moved from the release position to the holding position. It then holds the actuating member in the actuating position, so that it does not need to be continuously actuated by a user.

[0124] The handpiece can be designed in a simple and compact manner if the holding element is movably mounted on the handpiece suction channel. This prevents direct force from the holding element, especially during movement, onto the valve device.

[0125] It is advantageous if the holding element defines a holding axis that runs transversely, in particular perpendicularly, to the longitudinal axis of the handpiece suction channel interface and is mounted so that it can be displaced parallel to the holding axis. For example, it can be easily configured to indicate to a user whether it is in the release position or the holding position. Depending on the position it assumes, it can protrude slightly laterally beyond the handpiece, for example, to the left or right, so that it is immediately recognizable whether or not a cleaning fluid is being dispensed with the handpiece.

[0126] Preferably, the holding axis runs transversely, in particular perpendicularly, to the actuating axis. This configuration enables a simple interaction between the holding element and the actuating member to enable the desired functionality of the holding device. In particular, movements in linearly independent directions, for example, in directions perpendicular to each other, can thus be easily mutually prevented by the holding element and the actuating member.

[0127] To enable the holding element to be easily actuated, for example, by moving it parallel to the holding axis, it is advantageous for the holding element to have actuating surfaces facing away from one another. In particular, these can run perpendicular or substantially perpendicular to the holding axis.

[0128] Advantageously, the holding device is designed such that the holding element can only be moved from the release position to the holding position when the actuating member assumes the actuating position. This design thus prevents unintentional actuation of the valve device by actuating the holding element. A user must therefore first actively activate the valve device by actuating the actuating member, moving it from the home position to the actuating position. Only then, i.e., in the actuating position, is movement of the holding element relative to the handpiece possible. This prevents unintentional misoperation by a user.

[0129] Furthermore, it is advantageous if the holding device is designed to interact with the valve device in such a way that the valve device automatically transitions from the open position to the closed position when the holding element is moved from the holding position to the release position. Thus, if the holding device is activated and holds the valve device in the open position, the discharge of cleaning fluid can only be stopped by moving the holding device from the holding position to the release position. The preloading element then forces the actuating element directly or indirectly back from the actuating position to the home position, thereby closing the handpiece fluid channel.

[0130] The advantageous functionality of the holding device can be realized in a simple manner in particular in that the holding element comprises at least one holding body, that the actuating member comprises at least one blocking body, that the holding body comprises a first holding body surface and a second holding body surface, that the blocking body comprises a first blocking body surface and a second blocking body surface, that the first holding body surface and the first blocking body surface point in the direction of the holding axis and in the release position, when the actuating member assumes the basic position, abut one another and block a movement of the holding element parallel to the holding axis, and when the second holding body surface and the second blocking body surface point in the direction of the actuating axis and in the holding position abut one another to block a movement of the actuating member parallel to the actuating axis. The blocking body and the holding body can in particular be designed in the form of correspondingly shaped projections on the holding element or on the actuating member, in particular also delimiting receiving grooves on the holding element and on the actuating member. For the function of the holding device, it is particularly advantageous if the interacting holding body and blocking body surfaces do not all point in the direction of a single axis, but rather in pairs, as indicated, in axial directions running transversely to one another. Through these linearly independent axial directions, i.e. the alignment of the valve member axis and the actuating axis in a mathematically linearly independent manner, the desired functionality of the holding device can be realized in a simple manner. In order to be able to design the handpiece as stable as possible, it is advantageous if the holding element comprises two holding bodies and if the actuating member comprises two blocking bodies.

[0131] In particular, to be able to spatially separate the retaining element from the actuating member sufficiently to prevent unintentional incorrect actuation of the actuating member or the retaining element, it is advantageous if the at least one blocking body is arranged or configured to protrude from the actuating member in the direction of the valve member axis toward the retaining element. Thus, the interaction between the retaining element and the actuating member can take place at an end of the actuating member pointing toward the retaining element.

[0132] Easy assembly of the handpiece is made possible if the holding element and the actuating element are mounted on the handpiece so that they can move independently of each other. The holding element is therefore not mounted on the actuating element in a mechanically movable manner, but rather independently of it on the handpiece. Moving the actuating element does not necessarily change the position of the holding element relative to the handpiece.

[0133] The handpiece can be designed particularly compactly if the actuating element is movably mounted on the handpiece fluid channel. In particular, suitable guides can be provided on the handpiece fluid channel for this purpose.

[0134] According to a further preferred embodiment, it can be provided that the handpiece is angled and defines a distal and a proximal handpiece section if the distal handpiece section defines a distal handpiece longitudinal axis, if the proximal handpiece section defines a proximal handpiece longitudinal axis and if the distal and the proximal handpiece longitudinal axis enclose a handpiece angle which has a value in a range of approximately 90° to approximately 150°, in particular a value in a range of approximately 110° to approximately 130°. Such an angled design of the handpiece makes it possible, in particular, to design it in the manner of a pistol. This enables ergonomic handling of a cleaning system. The proximal handpiece section can be held by a user, for example, parallel to a surface to be cleaned. The distal handpiece section then extends diagonally forward at the respective handpiece angle toward the surface to be cleaned. This allows the user to optimally view any accessory coupled to the handpiece. Preferably, the proximal longitudinal axis of the handpiece runs parallel to the suction channel inlet plane of a nozzle attachment described above, which forms an accessory that can be coupled to the handpiece. This allows the nozzle attachment and the handpiece to be reliably moved parallel to the floor surface to be cleaned.

[0135] Advantageously, the proximal longitudinal axis of the handpiece runs parallel to the valve member axis. This allows for a compact design of the handpiece, as the valve member can be arranged so that it can move within the handpiece fluid channel parallel to the valve member axis.

[0136] It is ergonomically advantageous if the distal handpiece longitudinal axis runs parallel to the actuation axis.

[0137] To prevent unintentional activation of the holding device, it is advantageous if the holding axis runs transversely, particularly perpendicularly, to the distal and proximal longitudinal axes of the handpiece. This means that the user must specifically actuate the holding element to activate the holding device, as it can be moved in a completely different direction than the actuating element.

[0138] For ergonomically advantageous actuation of the valve device, it is advantageous if the actuating element has an actuating element surface that runs parallel to the proximal longitudinal axis of the handpiece. This also allows the handpiece to be designed as compactly as possible.

[0139] Furthermore, to create the most compact handpiece possible, it is advantageous if a distal section of the handpiece fluid channel is positioned between the actuating member and the holding element. This distal section can, in particular, run parallel to the distal longitudinal axis of the handpiece. Thus, the handpiece fluid channel is also angled at the handpiece. This also applies to the handpiece suction channel if the handpiece is angled.

[0140] It is advantageous if the handpiece fluid channel interface element is positioned between an actuating projection of the actuating member and the handpiece suction channel interface element. This arrangement enables particularly close spatial proximity between the valve device and the handpiece fluid channel interface element. This allows for a minimal residual volume in the handpiece fluid channel when the valve device is moved from the open position to the closed position.

[0141] The object stated at the outset is further achieved according to the invention in a handpiece of the type described at the outset in that the handpiece is connected or connectable to a cleaning hose on the proximal side, that the cleaning hose comprises a hose suction channel with a first and a second hose suction channel end and a hose fluid channel with a first and a second hose fluid channel end, that the first hose suction channel end is fluidly connected or connectable to the handpiece suction channel and that the first hose fluid channel end is fluidly connected or connectable to the handpiece fluid channel.Such a design enables a user, in particular, to couple the handpiece to a cleaning device via the cleaning hose in order to then be able to clean a surface to be cleaned in the desired manner, either dry, merely by vacuuming away dirt, or wet, by applying cleaning fluid to the surface to be cleaned and then vacuuming it away with the cleaning device in the manner described.

[0143] Advantageously, the handpiece and the accessory are detachably connected to each other. This allows the suction nozzle device to be adapted to a specific cleaning task by coupling the optimally suited accessory to the handpiece.

[0144] The object stated at the outset is further achieved according to the invention in a cleaning hose of the type described at the outset in that the handpiece is designed in the form of one of the handpieces described above.

[0145] Developing a cleaning hose in the manner proposed then has the advantages already described above in connection with preferred embodiments of handpieces.

[0146] It is advantageous if the second hose suction channel end is or can be fluidly connected to a suction connection of the cleaning device, and if the second hose fluid channel end is or can be fluidly connected to a fluid connection of the cleaning device. This configuration makes it possible, in particular, to use the cleaning hose in conjunction with a spray extraction device to both moisten a surface to be cleaned and to vacuum a dirty solution from the surface to be cleaned.

[0147] The object stated at the outset is further achieved according to the invention in a cleaning device of the type described at the outset in that the cleaning hose is designed in the form of one of the cleaning hoses described above.

[0150] Such an interface device makes it possible, in particular, to mechanically couple a handpiece and an accessory in a defined and safe manner.

[0151] It is advantageous if the handpiece is designed in the form of one of the handpieces described above. The interface device then has the advantages already described above in connection with preferred embodiments of handpieces.

[0152] Furthermore, it is advantageous if the accessory is designed in the form of one of the accessories described above. The interface device then has the advantages already described above in connection with preferred embodiments of handpieces.

The cleaning device system then has the advantages already described above in connection with preferred embodiments of interface devices.

The suction device 16 is fluidly connected to a suction connection 20 on the housing 14. The conveying device 18 is fluidly connected to a cleaning fluid connection 22 on the housing 14. A cleaning fluid container 24 is arranged in the housing 14 and is designed to hold a cleaning fluid, for example water. The cleaning fluid container 24 is fluidly connected to the conveying device 18 in a manner not shown, so that cleaning fluid can be conveyed from the cleaning fluid container 24 to the cleaning fluid connection 22 by means of the conveying device 18.

[0183] The housing 14 also accommodates a dirty water container 26, which is fluidly connected to the suction device 16. The suction device 16 is designed to convey a dirty water container from the suction connection 20 into the dirty water container 26.

[0184] The cleaning device 10 further comprises a cleaning hose 28, which is connected or connectable to both the suction port 20 and the cleaning fluid port 22. The cleaning hose 28 comprises a hose suction channel 30 with a first hose suction channel end 32 and a second hose suction channel end 34. The cleaning hose 28 further comprises a hose fluid channel 36 with a first hose fluid channel end 38 and a second hose fluid channel end 40.

[0185] The cleaning hose 28 comprises an outer suction hose 42, which surrounds or defines the hose suction channel 30. The hose fluid channel 36 is defined by a fluid hose 44, which is guided through the suction hose 42 and thus through the hose suction channel 30.

[0186] The cleaning device 10 further comprises a suction nozzle device 46 with a handpiece 48 and a nozzle attachment 50.

[0187] A valve device 52 is arranged on the handpiece 48 for opening or closing a handpiece fluid channel 54. A handpiece suction channel 56 also extends through the handpiece 48. A proximal end of the handpiece fluid channel 54 is fluidly connected or connectable to the first hose fluid channel end 38. A proximal end of the handpiece suction channel 56 is connected or connectable to the first hose suction channel end 32.

[0188] The handpiece 48 and the nozzle attachment 50 are either permanently connected to each other or alternatively designed to be detachably connected.

[0189] In embodiments, the nozzle attachment 50 is arranged or designed on the handpiece 48 either so as to be rotatable or non-rotatable.

[0190] The cleaning hose 28 is designed such that the second hose suction channel end 34 is fluidly connectable or connected to the suction connection 20 of the cleaning device 10 and that the second hose fluid channel end 40 is fluidly connectable or connected to the cleaning fluid connection 22 of the cleaning device 10.

[0191] The cleaning device 10, shown schematically in Figure 1, can be operated independently of the mains. A rechargeable battery 58 is provided for this purpose. It supplies all electrical components of the cleaning device 10 with electrical energy.

[0192] Alternatively or additionally, a mains connection device can also be provided on the cleaning device 10.

[0193] The nozzle attachment 50 forms an accessory part 58, which is designed to be detachably connected to the handpiece 48 of the cleaning device 10. An exemplary embodiment of a nozzle attachment 50 is explained in more detail below in conjunction with Figures 13 to 20.

[0194] The nozzle attachment 50 comprises a nozzle suction channel 60 with a proximal suction channel end 62 and a distal suction channel end 64. The nozzle attachment 50 comprises, on the proximal side, an accessory coupling portion 66 which is designed for releasable connection to the handpiece 48 of the cleaning device 10.

[0195] The distal suction channel end 64 includes a suction channel inlet 68 for introducing a suction flow during operation of the nozzle attachment 50.

[0196] A suction chamber 70 extends proximally from the suction channel inlet 68 to the accessory coupling section 66.

[0197] The suction channel inlet 68 is slot-shaped. The suction chamber 70 is defined by a suction chamber bottom 72, a suction chamber top 74, and a suction chamber wall 76 connecting the suction chamber bottom 72 and the suction chamber top 74.

[0198] The suction chamber 70 is preferably configured to enable the formation of a laminar or substantially laminar flow of a suction stream from the suction channel inlet 68 to the accessory coupling section 66.

[0199] The suction channel inlet 68 is designed in the form of an inlet slot 78 and runs in a straight line.

[0200] The suction chamber wall comprises two suction chamber wall sections 80 which extend towards one another in the proximal direction, starting from the suction channel inlet 68. As can be clearly seen in Figure 20, the suction chamber wall sections 80 run parallel or essentially parallel to one another directly at the suction channel inlet 68. They therefore enclose an angle 82 which has a value in a range from approximately 170° to approximately 190°. In particular, the angle 82 has a value in the range from approximately 175° to approximately 185°. In the exemplary embodiment illustrated in the figures, the angle 82 is approximately 180°. A suction chamber wall distance 84 of the suction chamber wall sections 80 of the suction chamber wall 76 which face one another decreases in the proximal direction, starting from the suction channel inlet 68. Figure 20 schematically shows two suction chamber wall distances 84 at different distances from the suction channel inlet 68.

[0201] The suction chamber wall 76 is curved in the proximal direction from the suction channel inlet 68 toward a plane of symmetry 86 of the nozzle attachment. In this area, a suction channel inlet section 88 is defined, in which the suction chamber wall distance 84 decreases nonlinearly.

[0202] Adjoining the suction channel inlet section 88 on the proximal side is a constriction section 90 extending in the proximal direction. In the constriction section 90, the suction chamber wall distance 84 decreases linearly. This is due to the fact that in the constriction section 90, the suction chamber wall sections 80 are designed to extend linearly. In the constriction section 90, the suction chamber wall sections 80 enclose a constriction angle 92, which is in a range from approximately 70° to approximately 100°. In particular, the constriction angle 92 can be in a range from approximately 80° to approximately 90°. In the exemplary embodiment illustrated in the figures, the constriction angle is approximately 80°.

[0203] The suction chamber wall 76 forms a wall angle 94 with the suction chamber underside 72, which is less than 90°. In particular, the wall angle 94 lies in a range between approximately 85° and approximately 60°. In the exemplary embodiment illustrated in the figures, the wall angle is approximately 70°.

[0204] The nozzle attachment 50 includes a nozzle attachment main part 96 and a cover 98. The nozzle attachment main part 96 defines the suction chamber bottom 72. The cover 98 defines the suction chamber top 74.

[0205] The nozzle attachment main part 96 encompasses the suction chamber wall 76. The nozzle attachment main part 96 and the suction chamber wall 76 are formed as a single piece, namely monolithic. Like the cover 98, they are formed from a plastic by injection molding.

[0206] The cover 98 comprises two cover wall sections 100 adapted to the suction chamber wall 76 and extending from the suction channel inlet 68 to the accessory coupling section 66. In the operating position of the nozzle attachment 50, the cover wall sections 100 lie flat against the suction chamber wall 76, specifically on its inner side, which points in the direction of the suction chamber 70.

[0207] The cover 98 has a cover edge 102 that projects outwardly away from the suction chamber 70 and, in the operating position, rests flatly on a suction chamber wall edge 104 that points toward the suction chamber top side 74. The cover edge 102 projects from the cover wall sections 100, pointing away from the suction chamber 70.

[0208] The nozzle attachment 50 further comprises a connecting device 106 for non-positively and / or positively connecting the cover 98 and the nozzle attachment main part 96 in the operating position.

[0209] The connecting device 106 is designed in the form of a locking or snap-in connection device 108.

[0210] The connecting device 106 comprises cooperating first and second connecting elements 110 and 112, which are arranged or formed on the one hand on the nozzle attachment main part 96 and on the other hand on the cover 98. The first and second connecting elements 110 and 112 are designed in the form of cooperating connecting projections 114 and connecting receptacles 116. One of the connecting elements 112 is formed on the suction chamber wall 76. It defines a connecting receptacle 116 in the form of a connecting groove 118. A corresponding connecting projection 114 is formed in the form of a connecting flange 120 on the cover 98. A boundary surface of the connecting groove 118 is formed by an underside surface 122 of the suction chamber underside 72, which underside delimits the suction chamber 70. The connecting flange 120 is formed protruding from a cover wall section edge 124 of the cover wall section 100 and pointing away from the suction chamber 70.

[0211] Further connecting elements 110 and 112 are formed by two studs 126 extending perpendicularly from the suction chamber underside 72 in the direction of the cover edge 102 and arranged on the suction chamber wall 76 in the region of the suction channel inlet section 88. These studs are formed to correspond to two recesses on the cover wall sections 100, specifically starting from the cover wall section edge 124.

[0212] The suction chamber wall sections 80 which are inclined relative to the suction chamber underside 72 also result in a dovetail-like connection between the cover 98, namely the cover wall sections 100 positioned on both sides of the suction chamber 70, and the suction chamber wall sections 80, against which the cover wall sections lie flat.

[0213] To connect the cover 98 to the nozzle attachment main part 96, the cover 98 is placed with the cover wall section edge 124 onto the suction chamber underside 72 and moved in the proximal direction. When the cover 98 is pushed in far enough, the connecting flanges 120 engage in the connecting grooves 118. In the final position, i.e., when the cover edge 102 covers the suction chamber wall edge 104 on all sides, the studs 126 of the nozzle attachment main part 96 engage in the recesses 128. To remove the cover 98, it simply needs to be pushed out in the distal direction, overcoming the locking action between the studs 126 and the recesses 128.

[0214] The knobs 126 and the recesses 128 define connecting longitudinal directions 130 which, as described, extend transversely, in particular perpendicularly, to the suction chamber underside 72.

[0215] The nozzle attachment 50 is designed such that the cross-sectional shape of the suction chamber 70 changes in the proximal direction, starting from the suction channel inlet 68. However, the size of a suction chamber cross-sectional area defined by the suction chamber 70 is the same or substantially the same regardless of the cross-sectional shape. It corresponds to, or is substantially the same as, a suction channel inlet cross-sectional area defined by the suction channel inlet 68. This will be explained in more detail below.

[0216] The nozzle attachment 50 comprises at least one spacer element 132. In the exemplary embodiment illustrated in the figures, three spacer elements 132 are provided. They are arranged or formed in the region of the suction channel inlet 68 and serve the purpose of keeping the suction chamber top side 74 and the suction chamber bottom side 72 spaced apart from each other.

[0217] The three spacer elements 132 shown in the exemplary embodiment are arranged or formed on the suction chamber upper side 74. Alternatively, they can also be arranged or formed on the suction chamber lower side 72. As clearly visible in Figure 14, the spacer elements 132 are arranged or formed set back from the suction channel inlet 68 in the proximal direction.

[0218] A suction chamber height 134 is defined by a distance between the suction chamber bottom side 72 and the suction chamber top side 74. As can be clearly seen in Figure 14, the suction chamber height 134 increases in the proximal direction starting from the suction channel inlet 68. In the illustrated embodiment, it is particularly clearly visible in Figure 14 that the suction chamber height 134 increases linearly over almost the entire length of the suction chamber 70. The reason for this is the flat or essentially flat design of the suction chamber bottom side 72 and the suction chamber top side 74.

[0219] In order to ensure that the suction chamber cross-sectional area remains constant regardless of the cross-sectional shape of the suction chamber 70, and thus regardless of the distance from the suction channel inlet 68, a suction chamber recess 136 is formed on the suction chamber top side 72, specifically in the region of the constriction section 90. A distal recess end 138 lies approximately in the transition region between the suction channel inlet section 88 and the constriction section 90.

[0220] The suction chamber recess 136 is essentially drop-shaped with rounded transitions 140 to the suction chamber underside 72.

[0221] The suction chamber recess 136 defines a recess width 142 parallel to a suction channel inlet plane 14 defined by the suction channel inlet 68. As schematically shown in Figure 16, the recess width 142 initially increases from the distal recess end 138 in the proximal direction up to a maximum 146. From the maximum 146, the recess width 142 decreases again in the proximal direction up to the accessory coupling section 66.

[0222] A suction chamber depth 148, which is defined by the suction chamber recess 136 relative to the suction chamber underside 72 or the underside surface 122, increases from the distal recess end 138 in the proximal direction, in particular up to the accessory coupling section 66, as can be clearly seen in Figure 14.

[0223] The nozzle attachment 50 is designed to be mirror-symmetrical to a mirror plane 150, which defines the plane of symmetry 86. The mirror plane 150 runs perpendicular to the suction chamber top side 74 and the suction chamber bottom side 72.

[0224] Lateral spray protection walls 152 are formed on the nozzle attachment 50. They protrude from the suction chamber bottom 72 and extend the suction chamber wall sections 80.

[0225] The spray protection walls 152 extend in the proximal direction from the suction channel outlet plane 144. A spray protection wall height 154 of the spray protection walls 152 decreases in the proximal direction from the suction channel inlet 68 relative to the suction chamber underside 72 or relative to an edge 156 of the spray protection walls 152, which faces away from the suction chamber 70.

[0226] Furthermore, a stabilizing projection 158 is arranged or formed on the suction chamber underside 72, protruding away from the suction chamber 70. It extends transversely, namely perpendicularly, to the plane of symmetry 86 of the nozzle attachment 50. The stabilizing projection 158 also runs parallel to the suction channel inlet 68 and connects the spray protection walls 152 to one another. It is set back somewhat further in the proximal direction relative to the suction channel inlet 68 than the spacer elements 132.

[0227] The nozzle attachment 50 is designed for use in conjunction with a spray extraction device 12, as explained above. For this purpose, the nozzle attachment 50 comprises a nozzle fluid channel 160, which is fluidically separated from the nozzle suction channel 60 and has a proximal nozzle fluid channel end 162 and a distal nozzle fluid channel end 164. A fluid outlet 166 for discharging a cleaning fluid is arranged or formed at the distal nozzle fluid channel end 164.

[0228] The fluid outlet 166 is positioned below the suction chamber bottom 72 in the region of a transition from the suction chamber 70 to the accessory coupling section 66. Furthermore, the fluid outlet 166 is significantly recessed in the proximal direction relative to the suction channel inlet 68.

[0229] The fluid outlet 166 comprises a nozzle 168. It is designed as a separate component and can be detachably connected to the distal nozzle fluid channel end 164. For example, the nozzle 168 can be screwed to the distal nozzle fluid channel end 164. A sealing ring 170 is arranged at the distal nozzle fluid channel end 164 to seal the nozzle fluid channel 160 relative to the nozzle 168.

[0230] In the embodiment illustrated in the figures, the fluid outlet 166 defines a free fluid outlet cross-section. The suction channel inlet 68 defines a free suction channel inlet cross-section. The ratio of the cross-sectional areas defined by the fluid outlet cross-section and the suction channel inlet cross-section is in a range from approximately 1 / 100 to approximately 1 / 20. In the embodiment illustrated in the figures, the ratio is in a range from approximately 1 / 100 to approximately 1 / 50.

[0231] The accessory coupling section 66 includes an accessory fluid channel 172. In the embodiment illustrated in the figures, it is defined by the nozzle fluid channel 166. Thus, the accessory fluid channel 172 is fluidly connected to the fluid outlet 166. The accessory fluid channel 172 is open in the proximal direction and defines a fluid channel inlet 174.

[0232] The accessory coupling section 66 further defines an accessory suction channel 176. In the embodiment illustrated in the figures, this is designed in the form of the nozzle suction channel 60. Thus, the accessory suction channel 176 is fluidly connected to the suction chamber 70. The accessory suction channel 176 is open in the proximal direction and defines a suction channel outlet 178.

[0233] Accessories 58 such as the nozzle attachment 50 have an accessory coupling section 66, as described. They enable coupling to the handpiece 48, which is included in the cleaning device 10 or a cleaning device system 180. The accessory coupling section 66 also forms part of an interface device 182 of the cleaning device system 180.

[0234] The interface device 182 further includes a handpiece coupling portion 184 encompassed by the handpiece 48.

[0235] The handpiece coupling section 184 and the accessory coupling section 66 are designed to be releasably connected to one another. To enable this, the handpiece coupling section 184 comprises a handpiece coupling device 186. The accessory coupling section 66 comprises an accessory coupling device 188. In a coupling position in which the handpiece 48 and the accessory part 58 are engaged, the handpiece coupling device 186 and the accessory coupling device 188 are also non-positively and / or positively engaged with one another.

[0236] The handpiece coupling section 184 can be formed on any handpiece 48. The structure of the handpiece 48 can vary as explained. Further embodiments of handpieces 48 are explained below.

[0237] Furthermore, different embodiments of accessories 58 are described below.

[0238] If the handpieces 48 and the accessories 58 are configured with components of the interface device 182, they can be interchanged as desired. For example, instead of the nozzle attachment 50, an upholstery nozzle 190, as schematically illustrated in Figure 26, or a crevice nozzle 192, as schematically illustrated in Figure 27, can be coupled to the handpiece 48. These two accessories 58 each have an accessory coupling section 66 with an accessory coupling device 188 on the proximal side. Another embodiment of an accessory 58 is schematically illustrated in Figures 23 and 24, specifically in the form of an extension tube 194.

[0239] The extension tube 194 includes an extension tube coupling portion 196 on the distal side, which is configured to correspond to the accessory coupling portion 66. It essentially corresponds to the handpiece coupling portion 184 with the handpiece coupling device 186.

[0240] As schematically illustrated in Figure 25, the extension tube 194 can be coupled proximally to the accessory coupling portion 66 in a force-fitting and form-fitting manner with the handpiece coupling portion 184 of the handpiece 48. On the distal side, the design of the extension tube coupling portion 196 enables coupling with an accessory coupling portion 66 of an accessory 58, for example, the nozzle attachment 50.

[0241] As explained, other accessories 58 not shown in the figures can also be coupled to the handpiece 58, provided they have an accessory coupling section 66 that is designed to correspond to the handpiece coupling section 184.

[0242] The design of the interface device 182 is explained in more detail below in connection with Figures 21 to 27.

[0243] The accessory coupling portion 66 includes an accessory suction channel interface element 198 and an accessory fluid channel interface element 200.

[0244] The handpiece 48 includes a handpiece suction channel interface element 202 and a handpiece fluid channel interface element 204.

[0245] In the coupling position, the accessory suction channel interface element 198 is fluidly connected to the handpiece suction channel interface element 202. The accessory fluid channel interface element 200 is fluidly connected to the handpiece fluid channel interface element 204 in the coupling position.

[0246] The accessory suction channel interface element 198 tapers conically in the distal direction and defines a hollow cone 206. On the distal side, a sealing surface 208 pointing in the proximal direction is formed on the accessory suction channel interface element 198 as an annular surface, which carries an effective sealing element 210 projecting in the proximal direction.

[0247] The accessory suction channel interface element 198 defines an accessory suction channel interface longitudinal axis 212. A plurality of guide ribs 216 extending parallel to the accessory suction channel interface longitudinal axis 212 extend from an inner wall 214 of the accessory suction channel interface element 198. They serve to guide the handpiece suction channel interface element 202 during insertion into the hollow cone 206.

[0248] The accessory coupling portion 66 further defines a proximal-facing accessory end surface 218. It defines an end surface plane 220 which is transverse, namely perpendicular, to the accessory suction channel interface longitudinal axis 198.

[0249] Furthermore, a longitudinal groove 222 is formed on the accessory suction channel interface element 198, which extends parallel to the accessory suction channel interface longitudinal axis 212. The longitudinal groove 222 is open in the direction of the accessory suction channel interface longitudinal axis 212.

[0250] The accessory coupling device 188 comprises two accessory coupling elements 224 which engage with corresponding handpiece coupling elements 226 of the handpiece coupling device 186 in the coupling position.

[0251] The accessory coupling elements 224 are designed in the form of coupling recesses 228. The coupling recesses 228 form blind holes 230. The coupling recesses 228 taper conically in cross-section in the distal direction.

[0252] As can be clearly seen in Figure 21, the accessory coupling elements 224 are arranged or formed in the area between the accessory suction channel interface element 198 and the accessory fluid channel interface element 200. The two accessory coupling elements 224 are arranged or formed symmetrically with respect to the plane of symmetry 86 of the accessory part 58.

[0253] The accessory coupling elements 224 each define an accessory coupling element longitudinal axis 232. This axis runs transversely, namely perpendicularly, to the accessory end surface 218. Furthermore, it runs parallel to the accessory suction channel interface longitudinal axis 212.

[0254] The accessory fluid channel interface element 200 defines an accessory fluid channel interface longitudinal axis 234 which is transverse, namely perpendicular, to the accessory end surface 218.

[0255] The accessory fluid channel interface element 200 is designed in the form of a connection recess 236 for a fluid connection 238 protruding from the handpiece 48.

[0256] The connection recess 236 comprises a connection recess section 240 that is rotationally asymmetrical with respect to the accessory fluid channel interface longitudinal axis 234. The connection recess section 240 has a flat section surface 242 extending parallel to and facing the accessory fluid channel interface longitudinal axis 234. This section surface runs perpendicular to the plane of symmetry 86.

[0257] The accessory coupling device 188 includes a securing device 244 for securing the handpiece 48 and the accessory 58 in the coupling position. The securing device 244 includes cooperating first and second securing elements 246 and 248. The first securing element 246 is arranged or formed on the accessory 58, and the second securing element 248 is arranged or formed on the handpiece 48.

[0258] The first and second securing elements 246 and 248 are engaged with each other in a securing position, as schematically illustrated in Figure 14, and serve to prevent movement of the accessory 58 and the handpiece 48 away from each other starting from the coupling position. In a releasing position, the first and second securing elements 246 and 248 are disengaged, thus enabling movement of the accessory 58 and the handpiece 48 away from each other starting from the coupling position.

[0259] The first and second securing elements 246 and 248 are movable relative to one another in a securing direction 250, symbolized in Figure 14 by an arrow, namely transversely, in particular perpendicularly, to the accessory suction channel interface longitudinal axis 212, in order to transfer the securing device 244 from the securing position to the unlocking position.

[0260] The first securing element 246 is designed in the form of a securing projection 252, the second securing element 248 in the form of a securing receptacle 254. In the securing position, the securing projection 252 engages with the securing receptacle 254 as shown in Figure 14.

[0261] The securing projection 252 is movably mounted on the accessory part 58. It is integrally formed with a rocker element 256, which is pivotably mounted on the accessory part 58 about a pivot axis 258. The pivot axis 258 runs transversely, namely perpendicularly, to the accessory suction channel interface longitudinal axis 212.

[0262] The rocker element 256 is held by a prestressing element 260 in a basic position, in which the securing device 244 assumes the securing position. In this securing position, the securing projection 252 projects into the accessory suction channel interface element 198. By exerting an actuating force on an actuating region 262 of the rocker element 256, on which three ribs 264 are arranged parallel to one another, the rocker element 256 can be pivoted about the pivot axis 258 with the actuating region 262 in the direction of the accessory suction channel interface longitudinal axis 212. In this process, the prestressing element 260, which is designed in the form of a compression spring 266, is compressed. As a result of this described pivoting movement, the securing projection 252 releases the accessory suction channel interface element 198 and is also moved out of the securing receptacle 254 in the securing direction 250.The securing projection 252 thus assumes a deflected position deflected from the basic position and, as mentioned, releases the accessory suction channel interface element 198.

[0263] A distally directed retaining surface 268 and a proximal-directed sliding surface 270 are formed on the securing projection 252. The securing receptacle 254 has a proximal-directed receiving retaining surface 272 on the distal side. It defines an undercut into which the securing projection 252, which points somewhat distally, engages and rests with the retaining surface 268 against the receiving retaining surface 272 in the securing position.

[0264] The handpiece coupling section 184 with the handpiece coupling device 186 is explained in more detail below.

[0265] The handpiece suction channel interface element 202 tapers conically in the distal direction and forms a conical tube portion 274. The tube portion 274 is configured to be inserted into the hollow cone 206.

[0266] On the handpiece suction channel interface element 202, a distally facing edge surface 276 is formed, which in the coupling position cooperates with the sealing element 210 arranged on the accessory suction channel interface element 198 in order to seal the handpiece 48 and the accessory part 58 from one another in this area.

[0267] The handpiece coupling portion 184 further defines a distally facing handpiece end surface 278. This defines an end surface plane 280 which extends transversely, namely perpendicularly, to a handpiece suction channel interface longitudinal axis 282.

[0268] As already described, the handpiece coupling device 186 comprises two handpiece coupling elements 226, which engage with the accessory coupling elements 224 of the accessory coupling device 188 in the coupling position. The handpiece coupling elements 226 are designed as coupling projections 284, which taper conically in cross-section in the distal direction. Thus, they can be inserted into the conical blind holes 230 with a positive fit.

[0269] A distally facing peripheral edge 288 projects from a distally facing end surface 286 of each coupling projection 284.

[0270] The handpiece coupling elements 226 are arranged or formed in a region between the handpiece suction channel interface element 202 and the handpiece fluid channel interface element 204. The two handpiece coupling elements 226 are arranged or formed symmetrically with respect to the plane of symmetry 86 of the handpiece 48. The two handpiece coupling elements 226 each define a handpiece coupling element longitudinal axis 290, which extends transversely, in particular perpendicularly, to the handpiece end surface 278. It also runs parallel to the handpiece suction channel interface longitudinal axis 282.

[0271] The handpiece fluid channel interface element 204 defines a handpiece fluid channel interface longitudinal axis 292 that extends transversely, namely perpendicularly, to the handpiece end surface 278. The fluid port 238 is configured to protrude from the handpiece end surface 278 for insertion into the corresponding port recess 236 on the accessory part 58.

[0272] The fluid connection 238 comprises a fluid connection section 294 that is rotationally asymmetrical with respect to the handpiece fluid channel interface longitudinal axis 292. This defines a flat guide surface 296 that extends parallel to the handpiece fluid channel interface longitudinal axis 292 and points away from it. The guide surface 296 extends perpendicular to the plane of symmetry 86. In the coupling position, the guide surface 296 rests against the section surface 242.

[0273] As already explained, a securing device 244 is included in the interface device 182 to secure the handpiece 48 and the accessory 58 in the coupled position. As explained, the securing receptacle 254 is formed on the handpiece 48, specifically in a wall of the tubular section 274 as a blind-hole-like recess. It forms a second securing element 248.

[0274] The handpiece 48 is explained in more detail below, in particular the valve device 52 which it comprises.

[0275] The handpiece 48 comprises a handpiece suction channel 56 and a handpiece fluid channel 54. The handpiece suction channel 56 and the handpiece fluid channel 54 extend from a distal handpiece end 298, in particular from the handpiece coupling section 184, to a proximal handpiece end 300, which is connected or connectable to the cleaning hose 28.

[0276] The valve device 52 on the handpiece 48 is designed to open and close the handpiece fluid channel 54. The valve device 52 comprises a valve member 302 and an actuating member 304. The valve member 302 is movably held in the handpiece fluid channel 54 and defines a valve member axis 306. The valve member 302 is movable parallel to the valve member axis 306. In a closed position, the valve member 302 closes the handpiece fluid channel 54, as shown by way of example in Figure 9. One end 308 of the valve member 302 rests against a valve seat 310, which points in the proximal direction. A sealing element 312 is arranged at the end 308 in order to seal the end 308 relative to the valve seat 310 in the closed position.

[0277] In an open position, the valve member 302, as schematically shown in Figure 10, at least partially releases the handpiece fluid channel 54 so that the cleaning fluid can flow through the handpiece fluid channel 54 from the cleaning device 10 in the distal direction to the handpiece fluid channel interface element 204.

[0278] The actuating member 304 is designed to cooperate with the valve member 302 and is movable from a basic position, as shown in Figure 9, in which the valve member 302 assumes the closed position, against the action of a prestressing element 314, into an actuating position in which the valve member 302 assumes the open position. The prestressing element 314 is in the form of a compression spring 316 arranged in the handpiece fluid channel 54. The compression spring 316 bears directly against a proximal end 318 of the valve member 302 and holds it in a basic position in the closed position, preferably under prestress.

[0279] The actuating member 304 defines an actuating axis 320 and is arranged or configured to be movable parallel thereto. The valve member axis 306 and the actuating axis 320 extend transversely to each other, as can be clearly seen in Figure 10.

[0280] The actuating member 304 has a hemispherical active surface 322 that protrudes toward the valve member 302. Formed on the valve member 304 is an inclined surface 324 that is inclined relative to the valve member axis 306 toward the active surface 322. The inclined surface 324 forms an active surface 326 of the valve member 302.

[0281] If the actuating member 304 is moved in the direction of the valve member 302 parallel to the actuating axis 320, the active surface 322 slides on the inclined surface 324 and leads to a forced movement of the valve member 302 in the direction of the valve member axis 306, specifically in the proximal direction, whereby the valve device 52 can be transferred from the closed position to the open position.

[0282] If an actuating force acting on the actuating member 304 is removed, the preloading element 314 forces the valve member 302 back to the closed position. The inclined surface 324 causes the actuating member 304 to move back to its home position. The preloading element 314 thus also acts on the actuating member 304, indirectly.

[0283] As previously described, the valve device 52 requires continuous actuation of the actuating member 304 to hold the valve device 52 in the open position. This is undesirable for a user who wishes to continuously dispense cleaning fluid during cleaning, as they must constantly keep the actuating member 304 actuated, counteracting the biasing element 314. To facilitate handling of the handpiece 48, a holding device 328 is provided on the handpiece to hold the valve device 52 in the open position.

[0284] The holding device 328 comprises a holding element 330, which is movable from a release position, in which the actuating member 304 can be automatically transferred from the actuating position to the home position by the action of the prestressing element 314, into a holding position. In the holding position, the holding element 330 holds the actuating member 304 in the actuating position and prevents it from moving back to the home position. The holding element 330 is movably mounted on the outside of the handpiece suction channel 65. It defines a holding axis 332, which runs transversely, namely perpendicularly, to the handpiece suction channel interface longitudinal axis 282. The holding element 330 is displaceable back and forth parallel to the holding axis 332. The holding axis 332 also runs transversely, namely perpendicularly, to the actuating axis 320.

[0285] Two actuating surfaces 334 and 336 facing away from each other are formed on the holding element 330. As schematically illustrated in Figure 11, the holding element 330 can be displaced as a result of the application of a force to the actuating surface 334. The actuating surface 334, which initially protrudes laterally from the handpiece 48, is thereby displaced toward the plane of symmetry 86, and the actuating surface 336 moves away from the plane of symmetry 86. However, this movement is not readily possible, as will be explained below.

[0286] The holding device 328 is designed such that the holding element 330 can only be moved from the release position into the holding position when the actuating member 304 assumes the actuating position. Figure 11 schematically shows the release position, in which the actuating surface 334 is positioned further away from the plane of symmetry 86 than the actuating surface 334. Figure 12 schematically shows the holding position, in which the holding element 330 holds the actuating member 304 in the actuating position.

[0287] Two holding bodies 338 are formed on the holding element 330. Two blocking bodies 340 are formed on the actuating member 304.

[0288] The holding body 338 comprises a first holding body surface 342 and a second holding body surface 344. The blocking body 340 comprises a first blocking body surface 346 and a second blocking body surface 348. As clearly visible in Figure 11, the first holding body surface 342 and the first blocking body surface 346 point toward each other in the direction of the holding axis 332. In the release position, i.e., as shown in Figure 11, when the actuating member 304 assumes the home position, they abut one another or essentially abut one another. As shown in Figure 6, they block a movement of the holding element 330 parallel to the holding axis 332 when an actuating force is exerted on the actuating surface 334.

[0289] The second holding body surface 344 and the second blocking body surface 348 face toward each other in the direction of the actuating axis 320. In the holding position, they abut one another to block a movement of the actuating member 304 parallel to the actuating axis 320 from the actuating position back to the home position. This holding position is schematically illustrated in particular in Figures 8, 10, and 12.

[0290] The two blocking bodies 340 protrude from the actuating member 304 in the direction of the valve member axis 306 towards the holding element 330.

[0291] The holding element 330 and the actuating member 304 are movably mounted independently of each other on the handpiece 48. The actuating member 304 is movably mounted externally on the handpiece fluid channel 54.

[0292] As already noted, Figure 6 shows the basic position of the actuating member 304. The first holding body surface 342 and the first blocking body surface 346 abut one another and prevent movement of the holding element 330 in the direction of the holding axis 332. To enable this movement, the actuating member 304 must first be subjected to an actuating force and moved from the basic position to the actuating position. This intermediate position is schematically illustrated in Figure 7. The two blocking bodies 340 of the actuating member 304 are now offset relative to the holding bodies 338 in the direction of the valve member axis 306 and allow a displacement path for the holding bodies 338 in the direction of the holding axis 332.By displacing the holding element 330 as a result of exerting an actuating force on the actuating surface 334, the holding bodies 338 are displaced in the direction of the holding axis 332 such that—as schematically illustrated in Figure 8—the second holding body surface 344 and the second blocking body surface 348 are opposite one another. If the actuating force 350, symbolically represented by an arrow in Figure 7, is now removed, the holding element 330 with the two holding bodies 338 holds the blocking bodies 340 in the deflected position and thus the actuating member 304 in the actuating position. A user therefore does not have to continuously apply an actuating force 350 to the actuating member 304 in order to hold the valve device 52 in the open position.

[0293] The handpiece 48 is angled and has a pistol-like shape. It defines a distal handpiece section 352 and a proximal handpiece section 354. The distal handpiece section 352 defines a distal handpiece longitudinal axis 356. The proximal handpiece section 354 defines a proximal handpiece longitudinal axis 358. The distal and proximal handpiece longitudinal axes 356 and 358 enclose a handpiece angle 360, which has a value in a range of approximately 90° to 150°. In particular, the value of the handpiece angle 360 is in a range of approximately 110° to approximately 130°. In the exemplary embodiment illustrated in the figures, the handpiece angle 360 is approximately 120°.

[0294] The proximal handpiece longitudinal axis 358 runs parallel to the valve member axis 306. The distal handpiece longitudinal axis 356 runs parallel to the actuation axis 320.

[0295] The holding axis 332 runs transversely, namely perpendicularly, to both the distal and proximal handpiece longitudinal axes 356 and 358. For ergonomic handling of the handpiece 48, the actuating member 304 includes an actuating member surface 362. This surface runs parallel to the proximal handpiece longitudinal axis 358.

[0296] The valve device 52 is further arranged on the handpiece 48 such that a distal portion 364 of the handpiece fluid channel 54 is positioned between the actuating member 304 and the holding element 330.

[0297] The handpiece fluid channel interface element 204 is positioned between an actuating projection 366, which defines the actuating surface 362, the actuating member 304, and the handpiece suction channel interface element 202.

[0298] As already explained, the handpiece 48 is connected or connectable to a cleaning hose 28 on the proximal side. The connection of the cleaning hose 28 to the handpiece 48 has already been explained in more detail above in connection with Figure 2.

[0299] With a cleaning device 10 as described above, a user can quickly and easily clean the surface to be cleaned. In particular, the user can apply a cleaning fluid to the surface to be cleaned and then vacuum the resulting dirty water, i.e., cleaning fluid with absorbed dirt, from the surface to be cleaned.
