Abstract
Description
[0001] The present invention relates to a quick-change device for coupling an attachment to a machine connected to the quick-change device, wherein the quick-change device comprises a housing with a receiving claw for receiving an element of the attachment; at least one locking bolt movable in a longitudinal direction of the quick-change device from an unlocking position retracted into the housing to a locking position extended out of the housing and back; a bridge holding the at least one locking bolt, extending in a transverse direction to the longitudinal direction of the quick-change device and movable in the longitudinal direction of the quick-change device by means of a hydraulic device of the quick-change device;and has at least one longitudinally extending spring or hydraulic element acting on at least one locking bolt across the bridge.
[0002] Quick-change attachment systems on construction machinery allow for the rapid exchange of various types of attachments. Examples of construction machinery include excavators, wheel loaders, and machines used in the construction and agricultural sectors. Attachments include buckets, hammers, asphalt and concrete milling machines, grapples, shovels, and similar tools.
[0003] The invention lies in the technical field of quick-coupling devices or quick-change devices, which enable a machine operator to quickly attach different tools or attachments to the machine and then work with them. Quick-change devices can be mechanical, semi-automatic, semi-hydraulic, or hydraulic. In particular, hydraulically operated quick-change devices allow attachments to be coupled and uncoupled from the machine without the need for direct action by the machine operator or other persons.
[0004] German patent application DE 10 2014 116 245 B4 discloses a quick-change device for a machine for attaching and detaching an implement. For this purpose, the quick-change device has a receiving claw with a receiving opening into which a receiving bolt of the implement is inserted. To securely hold the receiving bolt in the receiving claw, the known quick-change device has a locking device with locking bolts, which can be locked by the action of springs associated with the locking bolts. In the locked position, the locking bolts cover an area of a receiving opening of the quick-change device, into which the receiving bolt of the implement is inserted and secured in a receiving frame or adapter.
[0005] Furthermore, the known quick-change device has locking bolts on its side opposite the receiving claw, which are operatively connected to the locking device via a lever mechanism. The locking bolts are mounted on a hydraulically operated locking bridge of the quick-change device and can be moved between a locked and an unlocked position against the force of springs. The locking bolts are designed to engage in bores formed in a locking plate of the attachment. The springs serve as a safeguard against unintentional unlocking of the locking bolts.
[0006] With this quick-change device, when an attachment is mounted, it is first secured to the quick-change device using the locking bolts and then locked to the attachment itself using the locking bolts. This ensures that the quick-change device is unlocked before the locking bolts are removed to detach the attachment. With the known device, it cannot be ruled out that external forces acting on the locking bolts could lead to unintentional unlocking.
[0007] To solve this problem, German patent application DE 10 2020 127 481 B1 proposes a quick-change device with a locking flap, in which locking bolts are pushed out of the quick-change housing in the opposite direction to secure a mounting bolt of an attachment and locking bolts are pushed out to lock a locking component. The locking bolts are in contact with a first lever arm of a deflection lever via a locking bridge, and a second lever arm of the deflection lever is connected to a piston rod via a locking bridge through which the locking bolts are connected. The relative movement of the locking bridge and the bolt bridge is used to fold the locking flap, which pivots around a frame-mounted swivel joint, into and out of a locking position in order to positively lock the spring-loaded locking bolts against unintentional unlocking by external forces acting on the locking bolts in the direction of the bolt axes.
[0008] A disadvantage of the aforementioned quick-change devices is that external forces acting on the locking plate of the attachment can cause the locking bolts to move out of their locking position, which can cause the attachment to unintentionally detach and fall off.
[0009] The object of the invention is therefore to provide a quick-change device which overcomes the disadvantages of the prior art and ensures mechanical safety against the attachment falling out.
[0010] The problem is solved by a quick-change device for coupling an attachment to a machine connected to the quick-change device, wherein the quick-change device comprises a housing with a receiving claw for receiving an element of the attachment; at least one locking bolt movable in a longitudinal direction of the quick-change device from an unlocked position retracted into the housing to a locking position extended out of the housing and back again; a bridge holding the at least one locking bolt, extending in a transverse direction to the longitudinal direction of the quick-change device and movable in the longitudinal direction of the quick-change device by means of a hydraulic device of the quick-change device; and at least one spring or hydraulic element extending in the longitudinal direction and acting on the at least one locking bolt via the bridge.wherein the bridge has at least one guide element movable in the longitudinal direction of the quick-change device, wherein the bridge has a recess on at least one side of the guide element, and the quick-change device has at least one stop element oriented parallel or at an acute or obtuse angle to the longitudinal direction of the quick-change device, each pivotally suspended and receptable in the at least one recess of the bridge, with a locking stop for the at least one guide element of the bridge for limiting movement of the bridge in the direction of the receiving claw, and a pressure element movable in the longitudinal direction of the quick-change device for pushing away the at least one stop element against the spring force of at least one elastic element of the quick-change device acting at least partially in the transverse direction of the quick-change device.
[0011] The locking bolts of the quick-change device according to the invention enable the quick-change device to be locked to a locking plate of the attachment. For this purpose, the locking bolts are moved from the unlocked position to the locked position by means of the hydraulically operated bridge.
[0012] To unlock the quick-change device, the locking bolts are moved back through the bridge. At least one spring or hydraulic element acting on the bridge prevents the locking bolt from moving too far back towards the receiving claw and thus out of the locked position.
[0013] The quick-change device according to the invention features an additional safety device thanks to at least one stop element. These stop elements ensure that, even if an external mechanical force acts against the force of the at least one spring or hydraulic element on the at least one locking bolt, the at least one locking bolt maintains at least a minimum locking position in or on a locking element of the attachment. For example, if the at least one locking bolt is pressed inwards from the outside and the force of the at least one spring or hydraulic element is insufficient, the stop elements, which prevent further movement of the bridge and thus of the at least one locking bolt towards the receiving claw, will prevent unintentional unlocking of the quick-change device.
[0014] Therefore, even in the event of failure or breakage of at least one spring or hydraulic element, a high level of safety is ensured.
[0015] This occurs as follows: When an external mechanical force acts on the at least one locking bolt against the spring or restoring force of the at least one spring or hydraulic element, the at least one locking bolt and thus also the bridge on which the at least one locking bolt is held moves in a direction that is directed into the housing of the quick-change device, i.e. in the direction of the receiving claw.
[0016] The at least one guide element provided on the bridge moves in the longitudinal direction of the quick-change device alongside or on the at least one stop element until its movement is stopped by the at least one stop element.
[0017] The locking stop formed on the at least one stop element determines the position in which the bridge, and thus also the at least one locking bolt, cannot be moved further towards the receiving claw. This position is defined such that at least a minimal portion of the at least one locking bolt remains in or on the locking element, thus guaranteeing the locking until the at least one locking bolt is hydraulically moved through the bridge into the unlocked position. The at least one stop element mechanically limits the travel of the at least one locking bolt. Therefore, no additional valve, such as a brake lowering valve, check valve, or shut-off valve, is required for safety.
[0018] With the quick-change device according to the invention, at least a minimum of locking is always provided in the locked state by the at least one locking bolt.
[0019] The quick-change device according to the invention thus enables a purely mechanical safeguard against the attachment falling out unintentionally, even with larger tolerance variations in the dimensions of the attachment, for quick-change devices of different sizes.
[0020] If unlocking of the quick-change device according to the invention is desired, the at least one locking bolt is hydraulically moved through the bridge into the unlocked position. For this purpose, the piston rod with the pressure element is hydraulically extended towards the receiving claw of the quick-change device. The pressure element thereby pushes the at least one stop element against the elastic force of the at least one elastic element, which acts at least partially in the transverse direction of the quick-change device, out of the travel path of the at least one guide element of the bridge, so that the latter can move beyond or past the locking stop towards the receiving claw. In doing so, the at least one locking bolt is moved further into the housing until the locking mechanism is released.
[0021] In the quick-change device according to the invention, the piston rod can be part of a single or double acting hydraulic cylinder.
[0022] It is particularly practical if the at least one stop element has two V-shaped stop elements aligned with each other, the free ends of which are connected by the at least one elastic element, which have the locking stop mirror-symmetrically on their mutually facing inner sides and between which the at least one guide element of the bridge and the pressure element can be moved.
[0023] In this embodiment of the invention, the at least one elastic element forms an elastic coupling element for the stop elements. The two stop elements can be forced apart by inserting the pressure element against the elastic restoring force of the at least one elastic element, in order to allow the at least one guide element to continue moving towards the receiving claw until the at least one guide element is stopped at the end stops of the stop elements.
[0024] In an advantageous embodiment of the quick-change device according to the invention, the stop elements each have a projection having a ramp located on a travel path of the pressure element between their articulated suspension and the locking stop.
[0025] In this embodiment of the invention, during an unlocking process in which the locking bolts are moved from the locking position to the unlocking position, the pressure element travels along the ramps and pushes the stop elements apart against the elastic restoring force of the at least one elastic element so far that the at least one guide element of the bridge can be moved beyond the end stops.
[0026] Preferably, the pressure element is formed integrally with a piston rod arranged in a drive block of the quick-change device and driven by a hydraulic device of the quick-change device and / or mechanically. In this embodiment, the pressure element and the piston rod are designed as a single rotating part. This rotating part can advantageously be moved back and forth in the longitudinal direction of the quick-change device.
[0027] It is advantageous if the piston rod, with which the pressure element is moved, is arranged in a cylinder located in the drive block, in which it can be moved in the longitudinal direction with the hydraulic device of the quick-change device.
[0028] Alternatively, the piston rod that moves the pressure element can be moved mechanically within the drive block. This allows for a double safety mechanism for the quick-change device without hydraulics acting on the piston rod, relying solely on spring or hydraulic elements and at least one purely mechanical locking stop.
[0029] It is particularly advantageous if the pressure element has a cylindrical or disc shape. However, it can also be conical or designed as a rectangular block. In any case, it is beneficial if the pressure element has a larger diameter than the piston rod with which it is moved.
[0030] The stop elements can be pivotally mounted, for example, on a drive block of the quick-change device or on another component of the quick-change device. It has proven advantageous if the quick-change device has at least one connecting element accessible from the outside of the housing to release the stop elements and move the quick-change device into an emergency release position. This allows the locking bolts to be manually released, thereby also releasing the stop elements, so that a mounted attachment can be manually removed from the mounting claw.
[0031] It is particularly advantageous if the quick-change device has a claw element connected to the bridge and engaging with the locking bolts, which at least partially covers a safety device to prevent the attachment from falling out of the receiving claw. This provides additional security for the quick-change device against increased loads, such as impact loads.
[0032] According to a preferred aspect of the present invention, the quick-change device has an indicator pin which is fully retracted into the housing in the locking position and protrudes from the housing as soon as the at least one locking bolt has moved below a minimum locking dimension. This allows the machine operator to be clearly and easily informed when the locking bolts have been extended to the minimum locking dimension.
[0033] An advantageous aspect of the present invention provides that the quick-change device has at least one mechanically and / or hydraulically actuated valve for interrupting at least one oil supply to the hydraulic device of the quick-change device in the locking and / or unlocking position. This ensures, for example, that the indicator pin is only fully retracted into the housing once the quick-change device is completely inserted into a mounting frame of an attachment and contact with the contact element has thus been established.
[0034] Advantageously, the attachment is a soil cultivation implement, such as a bucket, hammer, milling machine, grapple, or shovel. This allows for quick and safe attachment and detachment of the implements to the machine without requiring immediate action from the operator or other personnel.
[0035] It is understood that the features mentioned above and those to be explained below can be used not only in the combinations given, but also in other combinations or on their own, without leaving the scope of the present invention.

[0037] They show: Fig. 1 a schematic representation of a quick-change device according to the invention in a locking position with a receiving claw for an element of an attachment, Fig. 2 a schematic representation of a quick-change device according to the invention in a locking position with locking bolts protruding from its housing, Fig. 3 a detailed view of stop elements and a bridge of a quick-change device according to the invention in a locking position, Fig. 4 a schematic representation of a quick-change device according to the invention in an unlocked position, and Fig. 5a schematic representation of another embodiment of a quick-change device according to the invention in an unlocked position.
[0038] The Figures 1 to 4 schematic representations of a quick-change device 1 for improved coupling of an attachment to a working machine connected to the quick-change device 1 are shown. Fig. 2 The quick-change device 1 shows Figure 1 in a locked position. Fig. 3 shows a detailed view of stop elements 10 and a bridge 5 of the quick-change device 1 in a locked position. Fig. 4 The quick-change device 1 is shown in an unlocked position. Fig. 5 Another embodiment of a quick-change device 1' according to the invention for improved coupling of an attachment to a working machine connected to the quick-change device 1' in an unlocking position is shown.
[0039] The quick-change device 1, 1' each has a housing 2 with a receiving claw 17 for receiving an element of an attachment (not shown in the figures), such as a mounting bolt. The attachment is, for example, a soil cultivation implement, a bucket, a hammer, a milling machine, a grapple, or a shovel. The receiving claw 17 is, for example, lockable.
[0040] The quick-change device 1, 1' each further comprises a pressure element 4 which is movable in a longitudinal direction L of the quick-change device 1 between an unlocking position and a locking position by means of a hydraulically and / or mechanically driven piston rod 3. In the Figure 5 In the quick-change device 1' shown, the pressure element 4 and the piston rod 3 are formed in one piece as a turned part.
[0041] The piston rod 3 is arranged in a drive block 8 of the quick-change device 1, 1'. The piston rod 3 can be moved in the longitudinal direction L within a cylinder by means of hydraulic control of the quick-change device 1, 1'.
[0042] Alternatively, the piston rod 3 can be mechanically movable within the housing 2 in the longitudinal direction L.
[0043] The quick-change device 1, 1' further comprises two locking bolts 7 arranged parallel to each other, projecting from the housing 2 in the locking position on one side of the housing 2 opposite the receiving claw 17. In other embodiments of the present invention, not shown, the quick-change device 1, 1' may also have only one locking bolt 7 or more than two locking bolts 7.
[0044] The locking bolts 7 are held on a bridge 5 and connected by the bridge 5. The bridge 5 has a guide element 20 that is movable in the longitudinal direction L. In the embodiment shown, the bridge 5 has recesses 12 on both sides of the guide element 20.
[0045] Two spring elements 6, arranged parallel to each other, act on the bridge 5 in the longitudinal direction L. This causes the locking bolts 7 to be subjected to the spring force of the spring elements 6 across the bridge 5. Alternatively, only one spring element 6 can be provided. An embodiment with three, four, or more spring elements 6 is also conceivable. Furthermore, a hydraulic element, such as a double-acting cylinder, can be used instead of each of the spring elements 6.
[0046] The locking bolts 7 serve to lock the quick-change device 1, 1' in a locking position in which the locking bolts 7 protrude, for example, into bores formed in a locking element not shown in the figures, such as a locking plate, of the attachment.
[0047] The locking bolts 7 are, for example, screwed or pinned to the bridge 5.
[0048] The quick-change device 1, 1' furthermore comprises at least one stop element 10. In the embodiments shown, the quick-change device 1, 1' has two stop elements 10 pivotally attached to a drive block 8 of the quick-change device 1, 1'. In the embodiments shown, the stop elements 10 are oriented relative to each other in a V-shape, wherein, as in Fig. 3It can be seen that the free ends of the stop elements 10 are closer together than the ends of the stop elements 10 mounted on the drive block 8. However, the stop elements 10 can also be aligned parallel to each other in the longitudinal direction L of the quick-change device 1, 1'.
[0049] The stop elements 10 can each be received in the recesses 12 formed on both sides of the guide element 20 of the bridge 5.
[0050] The stop elements 10 are coupled to each other at their free ends in a transverse direction Q of the quick-change device 1, 1', which extends transversely to the longitudinal direction L of the quick-change device 1, 1', by a spring element acting as an elastic element 9. Instead of a single spring element, several spring elements or another elastic element, such as at least one band made of an elastic material, may also be provided. In the embodiments shown, the at least one elastic element 9 pulls the stop elements 10 from the outside in, that is, towards each other.
[0051] The stop elements 10 can each, for example, have an L-shape or a C-shape. A hook shape for the stop elements 10 is also conceivable. Preferably, the stop elements 10 are mirror-symmetrical relative to each other.
[0052] In the illustrated embodiments, the stop elements 10 have a profile structure on their mutually oriented inner surfaces. This profile structure includes mutually oriented projections 19 at the free ends of the stop elements 10 and mutually oriented projections 18 in a central region of the inner surfaces. The ends of the projections 19 oriented towards the projections 18 each form a locking stop 13. The projections 18 each have a ramp for the pressure element 4 on their sides facing away from the projections 19 and towards the drive block 8.
[0053] It is also conceivable to have embodiments in which only one stop element 10 or more than two stop elements 10 are installed.
[0054] In the embodiment shown, the stop elements 10 have no profile on their outer surfaces facing away from each other.
[0055] The one connected to the piston rod 3 or - as in Figure 5 As shown, the pressure element 4, formed integrally with the piston rod 3, can move between the spring-loaded stop elements 10 and push them apart against the spring or restoring force of the elastic element 9. In the illustrated embodiments, the pressure element 4 first moves to the projections 18 and gradually pushes them apart by means of the ramp formed on each projection 18. In the illustrated embodiments, the stop elements 10 are pivoted outwards at their free ends and thereby pressed into the recesses 12 of the bridge 5 at their guide sections 21 located between the projections 18 and their end stops 13. This allows the guide element of the bridge 5 to be moved between the stop elements 10 in the area of the guide sections 21.
[0056] The piston rod 3 can then move the bridge 5 further, beyond the stop elements 10, until it is completely unlocked. The piston rod 3 is then in its end position. In the unlocked position, the two locking bolts 7 are fully retracted into the housing 2.
[0057] The present invention is particularly advantageous when the quick-change device 1, 1' is in the locked position and unlocking is not desired. In the locked position of the quick-change device 1, 1', no hydraulic pressure is applied to the piston rod 3. Accordingly, the piston rod 3 with the pressure element 4 does not extend in the locked position.
[0058] The locking mechanism is engaged when the locking bolts 7 are each inserted into a corresponding receiving opening of an attachment and are thus connected. The pressure is then applied to the locking bolts 7 purely mechanically via the two spring elements 6 or corresponding hydraulic elements.
[0059] In such a case, external pressure or force, such as from impacts, may act on the extended locking bolts 7. This causes the locking bolts 7 to be unintentionally pressed into the housing 2. In this case, the piston rod 3 with the pressure element 4 is not extended from the drive block 8. Accordingly, the pressure element 4 does not push the stop elements 10 apart. Instead, the stop elements 10 remain together due to the elastic element 9. As a result, the bridge 5 with the locking bolts 7 mounted on it only moves as far as the locking stops 13 of the stop elements 10. In this position, the locking bolts 7 still guarantee a minimum locking force, i.e., they still protrude a minimum amount from the rear of the housing 2, which ensures that the attachment cannot fall off.
[0060] To move the quick-change device 1, 1' into the unlocked position, it is hydraulically actuated, and hydraulic pressure is applied to the piston rod 3. The piston rod 3 moves the pressure element 4 between the stop elements 10, forcing them apart and pressing the guide element 20 of the bridge 5 between recesses 11 of the stop elements 10. The piston rod 3 then further pushes the pressure element 4 between projections 18 of the stop elements 10, forcing the two stop elements 10 apart. This allows the bridge 5, and thus the locking bolts 7, to be moved past the locking stops 13 of the stop elements 10 into an unlocked position. Locking is achieved solely by the two spring elements 6 or corresponding hydraulic elements.
[0061] The stop elements 10 and the hydraulic system of the quick-change device 1, 1' are completely separate from each other and the locking stop 13 is active and safe even in the event of a hydraulic leak or malfunction.
[0062] The quick-change device 1, 1' further comprises an indicator pin (not shown in the figures) which is fully retracted into the housing 2 in the locking position and protrudes from the housing 2 as soon as the locking bolts 7 have moved below a minimum locking dimension. For better visibility, the indicator pin is colored in a signal color, for example, red. The indicator pin is always clearly visible to the machine operator from the cab.
[0063] In an embodiment not shown, the quick-change device 1, 1' further comprises at least one mechanically and / or hydraulically actuated valve for interrupting at least one oil supply to the hydraulic device of the quick-change device 1, 1' in the locking position. For example, the at least one valve is arranged in a valve block and is actuated externally via a pin. Only when the quick-change device 1, 1' is fully inserted into a mounting frame of an attachment is a contact element actuated, whereupon the at least one valve mechanically releases the oil supply and the locking position of the quick-change device 1, 1' in the attachment is guaranteed to be assumed. The indicator pin is then fully retracted into the housing 2.
[0064] To move the quick-change device 1, 1' into the unlocking position, the machine operator hydraulically controls at least one valve.
[0065] The drive block 8 has either a single-acting hydraulic working cylinder or a double-acting hydraulic working cylinder.
[0066] The drive block 8 has at least one connecting element 16, accessible from the outside of the housing 2, through which the stop elements 10 are pivotally connected to the drive block 8. The stop elements 10 can be released using the connecting elements 16, and the quick-change device 1 can be moved into an emergency release position. For example, the connecting element 16 could be a screw or a pin.
[0067] In the event of damage to the quick-change device 1, which would result in the attachment no longer being able to be detached because the locking bolts 7 can no longer be moved and pressed into the housing 2, the quick-change device 1 can be moved into the unlocking position by means of the at least one connecting element 16. In this case, the at least one connecting element 16 can be easily released from the outside to release the two stop elements 10 and to allow the two locking bolts 7 to be manually pressed into the housing 2 in order to detach the attachment. This special release is called emergency release.
[0068] Furthermore, in the embodiments shown, the quick-change device 1, 1' has a claw element 14 connected to the bridge 5 and engaging with the locking bolts 7 above it, which at least partially covers a securing device 15 for securing the attachment against falling out of the receiving claw 17.
[0069] It is conceivable that the claw element 14 is screwed or pinned to the bridge 5. However, a one-piece cast and / or welded embodiment is also conceivable.
[0070] The bridge 5 has a guide element 20 which, when the stop elements 10 are pushed apart by the pressure element 4, can be moved between recesses 11 of the stop elements 10.
[0071] The pressure element 4 has a cylindrical or disc shape and can be moved against a projection 18 formed on each of the stop elements 10, so that the two stop elements 10 are held parallel or V-shaped to each other in the unlocking position.
[0072] It is also conceivable to have an embodiment in which the printing element 4 has a rectangular or triangular base. Reference symbol list:
