Description

Smart Commodity Cash & Exchange MethodTechnical Field

[0001] This invention relates to the Fintech, specifically addressing the improvement of liquidity for physical precious commodities. This involves facilitating their conversion into any FIAT Currency or Goods. The patent document additionally describes the composition, combination, and arrangement of the invention, as well as its utilization methods. The objective is to enhance performance and competitiveness in the payment instruments market. Background Art

[0002] Trading commodities can be physical, where commodities are delivered and stored in a physical state, or it can be financial, where trading occurs with commodity derivatives such as futures or options. Other trading options include exchange-traded funds (ETFs) or companies focused on the extraction and sale of commodities. Additionally, there is also private trading. When it comes to trading physical commodities in small quantities, it can be done through these common methods like Jewelry Stores, Numismatics, Mints, Online Retailers, Auction Houses, etc. Current Market Price of the Commodity: The price at which bullion is purchased can depend on the current market price of Gold, Palladium, Platinum...etc. This price may vary depending on fluctuations in the commodity market. Condition and Value of the Bullion: Dealers may also consider the condition and value of the bullion being returned. Small bars (up to 50 grams) are packaged in regular plastic, which can lead to wear and tear during handling. As a result, they are not intended for frequent or repeated buying / selling processes. Should the bar or bar package become damaged or experience a decrease in value due to various reasons, this could potentially impact the repurchase price.

[0003] Conclusion: An issue linked with numerous prior art precious physical commodities in small quantities is their restricted (and intricate) liquidity. Consequently, many commodities in prior art are confined to being sold in the location of purchase or in places with rapidly decreasing value, or involving a complex buyback process.Summary

[0004] Accordingly, there is a need for an alternative product and method. The aforementioned points have certain limitations and drawbacks. The purpose of this invention is to address them, and they are as follows:

[0005] The objective of the present invention is to achieve the same level of liquidity as traditional currencies (any currency in any country worldwide), and gain acceptance by financial institutions as well as individuals.

[0006] Technical design ensuring 100% preservation of the precious commodity's condition throughout the utilization of the invention.

[0007] Simple and quick conversion of the commodity into FIAT currency, from any location, with minimal exchange rate difference.

[0008] Daily widespread use of commodities for exchanging into FIAT currency (or making purchases).

[0009] When not in use, the value of the commodities does not decrease, offering protection against inflation, unlike traditional currencies.

[0010] Commodities fully under the owner's control.

[0011] Standardized execution

[0012] Fast Buyback

[0013] Completely commonplace daily usage, such as payments using mobile phones, cards, cryptocurrencies, or cash.

[0014] Accessibility and expansion of less common commodities, such as diamonds.

[0015] Automated redemption of commodities, for example, through ATMs (ATM - Automated Teller Machine).Disclosure of Invention

[0016] The purpose of this application is an invention related to a Product & Method concerning valuable commodities that aims to increase their liquidity, i.e., improve (=make easier) their exchangeability for FIAT currency (or goods). It involves an asset / transaction system that includes a valuable physical Commodity, an NFC Chip with an Antenna, a durable Casing, Encapsulation, Encoding, and a corresponding Application that determines the value based on the current market price. Furthermore, it provides a detailed description of the invention, including the Materials andComponents used, the Method of Use, Coding, and the expected advantages over existing solutions in commodity trading.Brief Description of Drawings:

[0017] Further features of the invention, its nature, and various advantages will become more apparent from the following detailed description of the preferred embodiments and the accompanying drawings.

[0019] Figure 2 depicts an alternative embodiment of the invention in the form of a Payment card. (Smart Commodity Cash (SCC100') as Card)

[0020] Figure 3 illustrates the method of exchanging the invention (SCC 100 / 100') for FIAT Currency.

[0021] Figure 4 demonstrates the method of exchanging the invention (SCC 100 / 100') for Goods.

[0022] Figure 5 illustrates the principle of Encoding (for SCC 100 / 100').Detailed description of best mode for carrying out of the invention

[0023] Although the present invention SCC can take on various embodiments, the illustrations show two fundamental configurations (in the form of a coin and a Payment card). Both embodiments have been chosen to showcase one of the most well-considered modes for the invention. However, these illustrated embodiments are provided purely for example purposes and should not be seen as limiting the interpretation of the scope defined by the appended claims. Additional images provide schematic illustrations of the usage method and the encoding principle.

[0024] Referring to Fig.l, which illustrates one example embodiment of SCC 100 in a coin shape and size, the diameter range of the embodiments is 20-50mm.

[0025] SCC 100 contains a primary component, which is a precious commodity (1), and this constitutes the main value of the invention.

[0026] Ideal materials include precious metals like gold, platinum, palladium, or diamonds, whose prices are traceable on various exchanges such as NYSE, LBMA, TOCOM, SGE, MCX, DGCX, ABX, NYDEX, BDB, DDC, IDE...). Therefore, it's possible to convert the commodity's price used in the invention (based on its quantity and quality) according to the current market price.

[0027] However, the aforementioned does not exclude the use of precious materials that are limited (or absent) on exchanges, such as ruthenium, rhodium, osmium, and other valuable minerals (painite), gemstones, minerals, and compounds (or even small collectible items).

[0028] The Case (2) (2x) serves to protect the internal parts of the invention, such as the commodity (1), NFC Chip (NFC = Near Field Communication / Chip = Integrated Circuit - IC) (7), data written in characters, back up code, antenna, tamper tag and hologram.

[0029] The case (2) must also ensure the protection of electronic data stored in the NFC chip.

[0030] The case (2) must withstand frequent usage, meaning it must be resistant to damage, such as scratches or breakage.

[0031] The case (2) must be capable of transmitting NFC signal.

[0032] For perfect protection of the internal parts of the invention, the case (2) must allow for dustproof / waterproof capabilities, ensuring that the commodity and the chip remain in an undamaged state throughout the entire lifespan of the invention.

[0033] Preferably, the case (2) should be transparent, allowing the commodity to be visible and enabling the reading of various symbols inside the invention.

[0034] The case (2) must be made from a material that is compatible with the technology of connecting both parts of the casings.

[0035] The case (2) may also carry a Back-Up code - indicated from the inside.

[0036] Protective film (3) - serves to enhance the casing's resistance against damage such as scratching or cracking in the event of the invention being dropped on the ground. The protective film helps increase the lifespan during frequent use of the invention.

[0037] Hologram label (4) with openings for quick optical authentication of product authenticity and securing the commodity and NFC chip in place.

[0038] The holographic label (4) has a recess for the commodity (1), where the commodity is inserted. This is done to ensure that the commodity remains in a 100% undamaged state, meaning it is not contaminated or compromised in any way through other methods of positioning, such as adhering to the case. If a transparent case is used, the commodity is visible from both sides of the invention (SCC100).

[0039] The holographic label (4) is attached (adhered) to the case and also serves for attaching other components, such as the NFC chip (7), external antenna (8), and tamper tag (9).

[0040] The holographic label (4) is further utilized as a space for providing information about the invention, such as commodity description (40) - type of commodity, its quality, purity, weight, manufacturer, serial number, the name of the certifying company, etc. However, these pieces of information can also be indicated on the commodity (1).

[0041] The holographic label (4) can also bear a backup code

[0042] During assembly, the gasket ring (5) serves to define the distance between both sides of the case, preventing the NFC chip, commodity, and antenna from being compressed during the joining of the case components, such as adhesive application and usage.

[0043] It also serves to define the gap that will need to be filled with suitable technology connecting material.

[0044] The gasket ring (5) also prevents the joining material from penetrating into the interior of the invention.

[0045] Sealing / Assembly (Seal / Assy) (6) - to protect the internal parts of the invention - serves for a firm and dustproof connection of both case parts, e.g., according to IP67 / IEC60529. Suitable technology must be considered based on the properties of the case material (2) and the gasket ring (5). Additionally, care must be taken to prevent any thermal or other damage to the commodity (1), NFC chip (7), data stored in the chip, antenna (8), tamper tag (9), hologram label (4) with inscriptions, readability of the back-up code (10), and other internal components of the invention during the joining process.

[0046] Conversely, the connection (6) and sealing must also be designed such that in case of emergency - during forced access to the invention - the commodity can be removed without damage, leading to the impairment of the other components of the invention, rendering it non-functional. Refer to the tamper tag and NFC communication interruption.

[0047] It's also possible to design it such that the seal (6) protrudes beyond the outline of the invention, thereby increasing its resistance to damage, for instance, in case of a fall.

[0048] NFC chip (7) (with integrated antenna). The NFC chip constitutes the 'smart' component of the invention and is a crucial part alongside the commodity. Its specification should comply with the standards used in banking according to ISO 14443 / ISO 18092.

[0049] All relevant information about the invention is encoded in the NFC chip according to coding (200). This includes commodity specification - weight, purity, clarity, color, grade, shape, producer, company-issued certificate; packaging - manufacturer and packaging type; and the embodiment of the invention - the technological method of assembly, manufacturer. Consequently, the value of the invention can be divided into two groups: net value and gross value. The net value of the invention is the commodity's value based on the current market value (45) per quantity and quality used in the invention. The gross value is increased by the costs associated with manufacturing - that is, costs for other components such as the case, NFC chip, hologram, antenna, tag, and the production (assembly) costs of the invention.

[0050] The encoded SCC (100) is simultaneously recorded in the SCC network (80).

[0051] The NFC chip (7) also contains a randomly generated authentication code - PIN (Personal Identification Number), to ensure only authorized usage of the invention.

[0052] The NFC chip (7) must allow for encrypted encoding of information to ensure the security of data exchange between the invention and the NFC reader, as well as data transmission between the invention, NFC reader, and application. Encryption must follow recognized standards for security, such as PCI DSS and AES (Advanced Encryption Standard), as per the standards used in banking.

[0053] If the chip (7) includes an integrated antenna, it must not overlap with the commodity, especially if the commodity is electromagnetically sensitive.

[0054] When using the invention SCC 100, the NFC reader (24 / 25 / 26) must be capable of reading all the aforementioned information from the NFC chip (7) (according to ISO 14443 / ISO 18092 standards).

[0055] Optional - External Antenna (8). In the event that there is a need to enhance the NFC signal transmission, such as ensuring signal transmission over a longer distance, an external antenna can be connected to the NFC chip. The external antenna must be positioned in a way that it does not interfere with the commodity, i.e., it should notdisrupt the signal. Therefore, it is necessary that it does not overlap with the commodity, especially if the commodity is electromagnetic.

[0056] Optional - The Tamper Tag (9) is designed to disable the invention in case of damage or attempted unauthorized access. It serves as a deterrent against counterfeiting. The Tamper Tag is linked to the NFC chip, which ceases to function if the Tamper Tag is tampered with (the circuit is broken).

[0057] Back-up numerical code (10) provided in case of NFC transmission failure. In the event that NFC transmission between the invention and the NFC reader fails for any reason, it is possible to use the backup code indicated on the invention. The code is generated by associating it with the code (200) and is a 16-19 digit code (equivalent to PAN - Primary Account Number), as per ISO 7812.

[0058] The backup code (10) can be indicated on a holographic label or applied using suitable technologies on the inner part of the case, ensuring it remains readable and indelible.

[0059] A (eg.4-digit) PIN authentication (22) is part of the invention, serving solely for authorized usage

[0060] The name of the used commodity is specified (written) on the SCC 100 (40)

[0061] SCC 100 can be equipped with an additional closable capsule for even greater protection.

[0062] Fig.2 illustrates an alternative embodiment of the invention (SCC 100') in the form of a Payment card

[0063] In the second embodiment, the main principles remain similar, so only a basic description and differences are provided in the following:

[0064] The case shape (2') is in the form of a Payment card, with identical dimensions and tolerances as specified in relevant standards for payment cards (ISO 7810).

[0065] The commodity (1) may or may not be visible, as the casing (2) must possess specific properties of strength and flexibility. In addition to materials for SCC 100, it's possible to use other materials such as steel, aluminum, or titanium.

[0066] The chip (7') utilizes a contact area and its position as in traditional banking cards, allowing data transmission to occur not only through NFC contactless but also through contact. This can be used for contact transactions at POS / mPOS terminals and ATMs

[0067] In the area where the antenna (8) (internally integrated or external) is located, electromagnetic materials must not be used within the casing to prevent interference with NFC signal transmission.

[0068] In this configuration, the hologram (4') serves solely for quick optical authentication of the authenticity of the invention

[0069] (9) Optional - Tamper Tag

[0070] Back-up - numerical code (10') in case of NFC transmission failure, along with its indelible implementation.

[0071] The name of the used commodity is specified (written) on the SCC 100' (40)

[0072] The present invention relates, in its second aspect, to a method for use.

[0073] This is why a further description of using SCC 100 (or alternative SCC 100') is provided for exchange into FIAT currency

[0074] An analogy, when different currencies are exchanged for other currencies at a bank. The same principle applies.

[0075] Fig.3 presents a schematic diagram illustrating the exchange of SCC for FIAT CURRENCY, allowing for the utilization of both SCC embodiments (100 / 100'). The exchange process involves the interaction of SCC 100 / 100', NFC data exchange (21) between the SCC and NFC readers (24 / 25 / 26), the utilization of a Corresponding Application (28) capable of decoding (200) the information stored within the SCC, and access to the SCC Network (80) where the SCC is registered.
