Abstract

The present invention relates to a sports boot (1; 1'), of the type comprising a shell (3; 3') and a cuff (5; 5') both made of a substantially rigid plastic material, and having a tightening system (10) for tightening said shell and said cuff onto the user's foot and ankle, or releasing said shell and said cuff from the user's foot and ankle. According to the invention, said tightening system (10) comprises one or more traction cables (11; 11a, 11b), first guide elements (13) arranged at the shell, second guide elements (15) arranged at the cuff, and a single tensioning mechanism (17) suitable to control the tensioning or releasing of said one or more traction cables. Thanks to the provision of a single tensioning mechanism, the user can advantageously act on a single actuating device to simultaneously tighten or release both the shell and the cuff of the boot according to the invention.
