Abstract

The invention relates to a haulm roller for a lifting unit, to be arranged at a front end of a sieve belt of the lifting unit, comprising an external surface which is intended for abutting the sieve belt and which, in a side view and in a non-loaded state of the haulm roller, has an at least approximately circular envelope and which has a central axis about which the surface is moved during operation, wherein the haulm roller comprises an elastically deformable support structure located between the surface and the central axis, owing to which structure the surface gives way towards the central axis when in the loaded state.
