Abstract
Description
[0001] The present invention relates to a dishwasher comprising a rail.
[0002] In dishwashers, the kitchen items are placed into the washing tub to be cleaned. The washing tubs are usually manufactured from metal. The placement is performed by means of the racks in the washing tub. The racks are generally detachably attached to the washing tub. There are various methods for attaching the racks into the washing tub. Usually, the rack rails are placed on the wheels on the washing tub wall so as to enable the rack to move forward and backward. However, the racks are attached to a rail and the rails are fixed to the washing tub wall since it facilitates the movement of the rack and it is safer. Telescopic rails are also commonly used to provide ease of use. The rails are mounted between two cylindrical members while being attached to the side walls of the washing tub. Thus, by means of the movement of the rails between the cylindrical members and the movement of the rack on the rail, the rack is enabled to be pulled outward from the washing tub. This ensures more efficient use of the rack by the user. However, when the user pulls the rack outward too quickly or too far from the washing tub, problems such as the rack detaching from the rail or the rail detaching from the cylindrical members may occur. Therefore, the use of a rail lid on the end of the rail is known. The rails are mounted onto the washing tub, and then the rail lid is attached to prevent the rails from detaching from the cylindrical members. However, this complicates assembly and slows down production. Moreover, mounting the rail lid in a non-removable manner causes dirt to accumulate thereon over time.
[0003] In the state of the art International Patent Application No. WO2013110598, a dishwasher comprising a rail lid is disclosed.
[0004] The aim of the present invention is the realization of a dishwasher comprising a rail lid with facilitated assembly.
[0005] The dishwasher realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention, explicated in the first claim and the respective claims thereof, comprises a body; a washing tub which is disposed in the body and wherein the washing process is performed; at least one rail which is mounted to the washing tub walls; at least one rack which is attached to the rails; at least two rails which are provided on opposite sides of the rack; and at least two holders which are provided on the walls of the washing tub and onto which the rails are mounted. The holders are mounted on the walls of the washing tub. The holders may have a cylindrical shape or be rotating member so as to allow the rail to slide thereon. By being passed through the holders, the rails are secured so as to slidably move. The rack wheels are passed inside the rails so as to enable the rack to move into the washing tub and out of the washing tub. By means of the lateral openings and the fixing opening which are provided on the rail, the rail can be mounted onto the holder.
[0006] The dishwasher of the present invention comprises a rail lid which is attached on the end of the rail. The rail lid has two side arms and one central upright member so as to form an m-shape. Lateral claws, which are mounted into the lateral openings, are provided on the side arms. On the central upright member, a fixing claw is provided, which is fitted into the fixing opening. The rail lid is mounted onto the rail by means of the fixing claw.
[0007] In an embodiment of the present invention, the dishwasher comprises the first position wherein the two opposing lateral claws flex inward from the lateral openings toward the center of the rail, and a second position wherein the lateral claws are fully seated in the lateral openings.
[0008] In an embodiment of the present invention, the dishwasher comprises the rail lid which shifts into the first position while passing over the holders and returns to the second position after passing over the holders. When the lateral claws are in the first position, the rail lid passes over the holders, and after passing, returns to the second position. Thus, the rail lid is first attached onto the rail, and then mounted together with the rail onto the holder so as to lock in place.
[0009] In an embodiment of the present invention, the dishwasher comprises the lateral claw having a form inclined in a single direction. The lateral claws are inclined in the direction wherein the rail is pushed onto the holder, and have a flat surface in the opposite direction. Thus, as the rail moves over the holder, the inclined shape enables the lateral claws to shift into the first position. Thanks to the flat surface, the rail cannot detach from the holder in the reverse direction after passing over the holder.
[0010] In an embodiment of the present invention, the dishwasher comprises the rail lid which is enabled to be detached from the rail when the lateral claws and the fixing claw are pushed through the openings. Thus, the user can remove and wash the rail lid.
[0011] By means of the present invention, a dishwasher is realized, comprising a rail having a rail lid which provides ease of assembly and use.
