Technical field
[0001] The present invention belongs to the technical field of structures used for the construction of temporary gateways, of the type specially used in public events, such as sports or entertainment, to regulate the flow of people entering or leaving restricted areas.
[0002] More specifically, the present invention relates to modular pedestrian gateways, which can be assembled with a variable number of pedestrian gateways and which, in certain configurations, can also include one or more row preselectors, i.e., devices designed to convey the public to the access gateway in an orderly manner, avoiding excessive pressure on the first in the row and by the latter on the access control system.Present status of the art
[0003] Various devices for making pedestrian gateways, equipped or not with a row preselector, have long been known. Current regulations stipulate that, in order to prevent the channeling of spectators from gravitating directly to the access gateway, the flow of the row must be diverted at a 90° angle at least once. In addition, the gateways in general, and row preselectors in particular, must not move relative to the ground; their upper portion must be rounded to perform the specific functions of both a handrail and a crowd-containment element. The passage space between two preselectors must be sufficient for one person, typically at least 60 cm, and the single element must allow the spectator in the row, to leave it in case of an emergency, by passing under the handrail. The preselectors must withstand a load of 0.8 KN / ml at a height of 1.10 m above floor level.
[0004] It is well known that pedestrian gateways must take into account the fact that the flow of spectator passing is often very high, because it is concentrated in a short period of time; moreover, spectators are often in an agitated state. In addition, the total number of pedestrian passageways must be calculated according to the characteristics of the specific event, taking into account the number of people who will have to cross the fencing in a given time frame.
[0005] Known type solutions are mainly fixed, built with structures stably anchored to the ground. They are rather expensive structures, the construction of which takes a long time and is often subject to prior obtaining a specific permit from the public administration.
[0006] At present, standard-type anti-panic barriers, empirically joined together, are normally used to build temporary gateways, with a very questionable end result, both in terms of efficiency and safety.
[0007] Known type of pedestrian gateways formed by two side barriers and a central dais accessible via inclined ramps are described, for example, in JP 2018127801 and in IT 10202000008938.Objects and summary of the invention
[0008] The objective of the present invention is to create a temporary pedestrian gateway, possibly including row preselectors, of a modular type to adapt to the different flows of people of various events, which does not require either a stable fixation to the ground or permanent changes to the state of the places, but at the same time, complies with the regulations on the matter.
[0009] A further objective of the present invention is to provide a temporary modular pedestrian gateway that is simple and quick to install by assembling the different components without the need to employ bolts, or other similar means of joining that require the use of specific tools.
[0010] Yet another objective of the present invention is to provide a modular pedestrian gateway whose components are easy to store and transport and which, at least in part, are already in the ordinary equipment of companies involved in temporarily fencing off spaces, normally intended for other uses, that have been chosen to host events with large attendance.
[0011] Not least objective of the present invention is to provide a modular type pedestrian gateway, whose overall dimensions can be easily adapted to the needs of the individual event and which, if necessary, can be configured to include one or more queue preselectors or which can include turnstiles or other.
[0012] These and other objectives, which will become clear to the person skilled in the art from reading this text, are achieved by means of a modular pedestrian gateway comprising a plurality of components shown in the drawings to which reference is made below.
[0013] In particular, the pedestrian gateway subject of the present invention includes at least two modular, anti-panic type barriers (1), for example, such as those described in EP3676450, each of which includes a platform (11) whose outer edge is in contact with the ground and on whose inner edge a parapet (12) is erected.
[0014] In a preferred embodiment of the barriers, the upper portion of the parapet (12) is closed by a first fixed partition, while the lower portion is closed by a second movable partition hinged on top according to a horizontal axis coincident with the lower edge of the first partition, so that when two barriers are brought together for transport and storage, the second movable partition of the first barrier can rotate to accommodate the lower portion of the second barrier, thus allowing the parapets to be brought together.
[0015] According to an advantageous embodiment, at least one fulcrum element (13) protrudes from the lower portion of the parapet, to which at least one wheel (14) is rotationally connected, with its axis of rotation parallel to the inner edge of the platform. Thanks to the presence of the wheels, these barriers can be moved easily; in addition, their conformation makes it possible to stack them so as to reduce the space occupied for transport and storage.
[0016] The two barriers are opposed to each other, with the platforms facing each other so that their front portion is reversibly engaged in a central dais (2) with which the platforms form a single base. The latter, in order to avoid the formation of steps and consequent risk of stumbling, is complemented by two ramps (3), one for entry and one for exit, which engage in the short sides in the central dais.
[0017] A central parapet (21) rises in correspondence with the longitudinal centerline of the central dais, said parapet, in association respectively with the parapet of each of the two barriers, defines two parallel pedestrian passages.
[0018] The sides of the gateway are completed with two additional outer barriers, one on each side; preferably the same as those used to create the inner corridor; the platforms of the two outer barriers face outward from the gateway.
[0019] Thanks to this original solution, a multiple gateway can be easily built by progressively placing a further gateway side by side with those already set up, as better shown in the attached drawings. The space that remains open between the pair of barriers that constitute the side of the gateway is made inaccessible by means of two curved screens (4) that have means of engagement suitable for engaging with those provided on the sides of the barriers.

[0023] The embodiment shown in Fig. 1 includes the following elements: a central dais (2) conformed as a rectangle whose major sides are oriented longitudinally, that is, in the direction of crossing the gateway, and whose edges have horizontal means of engagement; a parapet (21) that rises longitudinally above the central dais by means of means of engagement defined on the extrados of the dais; a first pair of barriers (1) arranged longitudinally, each barrier including a platform (11) facing toward the inside of the gateway and with the front edges of the respective platforms of both barriers reversibly connected with the longitudinal edges of the dais (2); two ramps (3) whose inner edges are respectively reversibly connected with the transversal edges of the dais (2); a second pair of barriers (1) arranged longitudinally, each of which is opposed to one of the barriers of the first pair, the barriers of the second pair having the platforms facing toward the outside of the gateway; four curved screens (4) the vertical edges of each of which are reversibly connected to the vertical edges of the two barriers forming one of the sides of the gateway; two elongated lids (5) each of which closes from above the space between the two barriers that form one of the sides of the gateway and whose ends engage with the inner surface of the curved screens (4).

Claims
1. A modular pedestrian gateway comprising: - a central dais (2) shaped as a rectangle, the longer sides of which are oriented longitudinally, that is in the direction of crossing the gateway, and the edges of which have horizontal means of engagement; - a first pair of barriers (1) configured to be arranged longitudinally, each barrier comprising a platform (11) facing toward the inside of the gateway, with the front edges of the respective platforms of both barriers configured to be reversibly connected to the longitudinal edges of the dais (2); - two ramps (3) whose inner edges are respectively configured to be reversibly connected with the transversal edges of the dais (2); characterized in that it comprises: - a second pair of barriers configured to be arranged in a longitudinal direction, each of which is opposed to one of the barriers of said first pair, the barriers of said second pair being configured to be arranged with the platforms facing the outside of the gateway, so that each barrier of said second pair cooperates with the corresponding barrier of said first pair to form one of the two outer sidewalls of the gateway; - four curved screens (4), the vertical edges of each of which are configured to be reversibly connected to the vertical edges of the two barriers forming one of the sidewalls of the gateway; - two elongated lids (5) each of which closes from above the space between the two barriers forming one of the sides of the opening, the ends of said elongated lids engaging reversibly with the internal surface of said curved screens (4).
2. A gateway as per claim 1 above characterized in that it comprises a parapet (21) rising longitudinally above said central dais by means of engagement means on the extrados of the dais.
3. A gateway as per claim 1 above characterized in that it comprises at least one row separator (24) that rises transversally above the central dais by means of engagement means on the extrados of the dais.
4. A gateway according to one of the preceding claims characterized in that each of said barriers (1) comprises at least one tergal fulcrum (13) to which at least one wheel (14) is configured to be rotationally connected, according to a horizontal axis.
5. A gateway according to one of the preceding claims characterized in that each of said barriers (1) comprises a parapet (12) whose vertical edges comprise reversible means of connection with the parapets of other barriers.
6. A gateway as per claim 5 above characterized in that said reversible means of connection are of the male (15) or female (16) type.
7. A gateway according to one of the preceding claims 5 or 6 characterized in that the vertical edges of said curved screens (4) comprise reversible means of connection suitable for engaging with the corresponding means of connection present along the vertical edges of said parapets (12) of said barriers (1).

A gateway according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the front edges of said platforms (11) comprise tubular elements (19) and in that said horizontal engagement means present at the longitudinal edges of said central dais (2) are shaped as semi-cylindrical cradles (22) suitable for accommodating within themselves at least a portion of said tubular elements (19).

A gateway according to one of the preceding claims characterized in that the inner edges of said ramps (3) comprise tubular elements (31) and in that said horizontally engaged means, present at the transversal edges of said central dais (2), are shaped as semi-cylindrical cradles (23) suitable for accommodating within themselves at least a portion of said tubular elements (31).
