AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

Existing breast reconstruction methods post-mastectomy, such as those described in WO2009023766 and the Brava process, require invasive procedures, prolonged use of rigid devices, and risk complications like edema and rejection, while lacking effective methods for post-surgical skin regeneration and elasticity improvement.

Method used

A paramedical device using transparent cones with integrated electrostimulation massagers that apply suction and rapid massage movements to stretch skin, followed by fat transfer, enhancing skin suppleness and elasticity without surgery, and allowing ambulatory use.

Benefits of technology

The device effectively stretches skin for fat grafting by creating a pocket without edema or rejection, promoting skin elasticity and blood circulation, enabling gradual breast reconstruction without invasive procedures.

Description

The present invention is a paramedical device intended for women who have undergone a mastectomy following breast cancer. Generally, it is placed on the breast under reconstruction and works under negative pressure, stretching the skin tissue outwards, thus creating a space which, ultimately, allows for the reception of a fat graft. The device consists of two transparent cones, made of polyethylene or plexiglass or any other suitable material, which exert suction on the breasts. Inside these two cones, placed on the breasts and supported by clothing, a silicone massager consists of simultaneously exerting more or less strong pressure, for a longer or shorter time, at specific tension points with the additional use of an appropriate cream. Instead of manual massages (10 to 15 movements per second), which are insufficient after a mastectomy, the use of this electrostimulation massager, which produces between 40 and 50 movements per second, allows the skin to regain suppleness and elasticity and improves blood circulation by deeper penetration of the waves into the skin. The massage lasts 3 or 4 hours, which can be repeated. The state of the art of breast reconstruction after mastectomy following breast cancer, such as that described above, is well known. Two examples can be cited: A patent WO2009023766 whose application was published on February 19, 2009 by the American company! Fiodesigninc, and the PCT / US2008073132 filed on August 14, 2008, priority date August 11, 2007, relating to the in vivo transport of silicone gel for use in breast reconstruction and augmentation and the Brava process invented by American Doctor Roger Khoury. The first consists of breast reconstruction using a prosthesis with the insertion of silicone gel into a shell several times. The second, called the Brava procedure, consists of a rigid, airtight dome, without prosthesis or skin graft, thanks to a silicone seal and connected to a manual vacuum pump, placed on the breast for twelve successive hours over fifteen days. The external expander creates an edema by gentle suction and stretches the skin, into which the fat removed by liposuction can be injected. The present invention does not require surgery except for fat transfer and can allow for ambulatory or non-ambulatory intervention without the possibility of rejection or edema. The cone is placed on the breast to be reconstructed, with the integrated electrostimulation massager. Thanks to the electrostimulation massager of the skin which softens it and thus little by little gives elasticity, this skin stretched from the breast by the suction of the cone forms an empty pocket. The surgeon then performs a "lipomodeyage" or fat transfer in order to fill the empty pocket with the fat taken from the patient. No rejection is possible. This procedure must be repeated until the breast size desired by the patient is obtained. The silent device, whether ambulatory or not, offers, if necessary, a vibrating massage throughout the day, at home or in a car... H comprises the following elements; a membrane, a massager consisting of a motor supplying electricity and an optionally rechargeable lithium battery, a hose connected to an external suction pump connected to ordinary electricity, and a valve closing the passage opening of the hose, made of materials to be determined, The rechargeable battery operates the motor if the patient is outside. If the patient is indoors, the battery is replaced by an external hose connected to a pump with a standard electrical outlet. A hole in the cone allows the hose to be removed. COMPONENTS 1.
