Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: DEVICE FOR MOUNTING AN ACCESSORY ON A DETACHABLE CARRIER ELEMENT BY PRESSING THE ACCESSORY Technical field of the invention
[0001] The invention relates to a device for detachably mounting an accessory on a carrier element, in particular of a motor vehicle, comprising
[0002] - a first mounting bracket intended to be fixed to one of the accessory or the carrier element, and a second mounting bracket, one body of which is intended to be fixed to the other of the accessory or the carrier element, and which is intended to be fitted with the first mounting bracket in a first fitting direction, the second mounting bracket comprising:
[0003] - at least one member for locking the mounting supports in the nested position which is mounted mobile in the body;
[0004] - a pusher for actuating the locking member which is mounted to move in the body between an inactive position in which the locking member is free to occupy its locked state and an active position in which the locking member is controlled in its unlocked state. Technical background
[0005] There are many so-called nomadic accessories which can be attached or detached at will in the passenger compartment of a motor vehicle. These accessories are thus intended to be mounted in a detachable manner on a load-bearing element of the vehicle, for example a dashboard, an armrest, a door or a seat of the motor vehicle.
[0006] Among these accessories, we can cite, as non-limiting examples, telephone holders, pouches, room fragrance diffusers, cup holders, etc.
[0007] In addition to their aesthetic appearance, these accessories must be easy to use. In particular, it must be possible to detach these accessories easily and reattach them according to the needs of the driver or passengers.
[0008] In addition, these accessories must comply with current regulations. In particular, these accessories must be firmly attached to a load-bearing element of the vehicle so that they do not become detached when the vehicle is subjected to an impact. The accessory could, in fact, strike a passenger.
[0009] However, the accessory must also be able to detach automatically in the event of accidental impact between a passenger and the accessory to reduce the risk of injuries.
[0010] To reconcile these two regulatory obligations, the accessory must be able to detach easily in a preferred direction and sense, for example vertically downwards, under the effect of a first force for example greater than or equal to 60 N, while it must on the contrary remain firmly attached to the carrier element when it is stressed in the other directions under the effect of a second force higher relative to the first force, for example less than or equal to 500 N.
[0011] Detachable mounting devices are already known comprising a first male mounting support comprising a protrusion and a second female mounting support comprising a housing provided with a recess receiving the protrusion. One of the two mounting supports is fixed to the carrier element, while the other is fixed to the accessory.
[0012] The housing of the female mounting bracket includes locking means with the protrusion to allow the accessory to be releasably attached to the carrier element. In this position, the two mounting brackets are completely fixed relative to each other.
[0013] To detach the male mounting bracket from the female mounting bracket, the female mounting bracket has a button for actuating the locking means which is mounted on the side of a housing, outside the housing. The user pushes the button into the housing with his finger to unlock the locking means and thus allow the second mounting bracket to be detached from the first mounting bracket.
[0014] Such a detachable mounting device is easy to use because the user does not need tools to detach the accessory from its carrier element.
[0015] However, such a detachable mounting device does not allow the accessory to automatically detach in the event of an impact with a passenger, because the male and female mounting brackets are rigidly fixed to each other. It is indeed necessary to specifically actuate the button of the attachment device to unlock the locking means before the mounting brackets can be detached from each other. Summary of the invention
[0016] The invention proposes a device for detachably mounting an accessory on a carrier element, in particular of a motor vehicle, comprising

[0048] In the remainder of the description, elements having an identical structure or similar functions will be designated by the same reference.
[0049] In the remainder of the description, the following orientations will be adopted, without limitation:
[0050] - longitudinal “L” directed from back to front;
[0051] - vertical “V” directed from bottom to top;
[0052] - transverse “T” directed from left to right.
[0053] The vertical orientation “V” is used as a purely geometric reference without relation to the direction of Earth's gravity, unless explicitly stated otherwise.
[0054] The terms “upper” and “lower” as well as “top” and “bottom” will subsequently be used in relation to the vertical “V” orientation.
[0055] [Fig.l] shows an accessory 10 fixed in a detachable manner to a supporting element 12 of the passenger compartment of a motor vehicle.
[0056] According to a non-exhaustive and non-limiting list of examples, the accessory 10 may be a cup holder, a telephone holder, a room fragrance diffuser, etc.
[0057] According to another non-exhaustive and non-limiting list of examples, the support element 12 may be a dashboard, the rear of a seat back, a door trim, an armrest, etc.
[0058] The accessory 10 is attached to the carrier element 12 by means of a detachable mounting device 14 which comprises a first mounting support 16 shown in [Fig. 2], and a second mounting support 18 shown in Figures 3 and 4.
[0059] The first mounting bracket 16 is intended to be fixed to one of the accessory 10 or the carrier element 12, while the second mounting bracket 18 comprises a body 21 which is intended to be fixed to the other of the accessory 10 or the carrier element 12. In the example shown in the figures, the first mounting bracket 16 is intended to be fixed to the carrier element 12 and the body 21 of the second mounting bracket 18 is intended to be fixed to the accessory 10.
[0060] In a variant of the invention not shown, the first mounting support 16 is intended to be fixed to the accessory 10 and the body 21 of the second mounting support 18 is intended to be fixed to the carrier element 12.
[0061] The body 21 of the second support 18 is intended to be fitted with the first mounting support 16 in a first fitting direction “DI”, here longitudinal, in a forward-facing mounting direction as shown in [Fig. 5]. The first fitting direction “DI” is here directed orthogonally to the face of the carrier element 12 on which the first mounting support 16 is to be fixed.
[0062] As shown in [Fig. 3], the second mounting support 18 comprises at least one member 20 for locking the mounting supports 16, 18 in the nested position. Here, it comprises two locking members 20. Each locking member 20 is mounted movably in the body 21 of the second mounting support 18 between a locked state, as shown in [Fig. 8], towards which it is elastically returned, and an unlocked state, as shown in [Fig. 10].
[0063] The second locking support 18 further comprises a pusher 22 for actuating the locking member which is mounted to move in the body 21 between an inactive position towards which it is elastically returned and in which the member 20 locking member is free to occupy its locked state, as shown in Figures 3 and 7, and an active position in which it controls the locking member 20 in its unlocked state, as shown in [Fig.9].
[0064] To enable the accessory 10 to be automatically detached from its supporting element 12 in the event of an impact in a preferred direction and sense, the first mounting supports 16 and the body 21 of the second mounting support 18, when they are fitted and locked together by the locking members 20, as shown in [Fig. 12], are capable of sliding relative to each other in a second actuation direction “D2” against an elastic return force so that a fixed thrust face 24 of the first mounting support 16 pushes the actuation pusher 22 towards its active position during this sliding, as shown for example in FIGS. 13 and 14. The actuation direction “D2” corresponds to said preferred direction.
[0065] More particularly, the body 21 of the second mounting support 18 and the first mounting support 16 are slidably mounted between an attachment position, towards which they are elastically returned, and in which the actuating pusher 22 occupies its inactive position, and a detachment position in which the actuating pusher 22 occupies its active position.
[0066] The elastic return force of the actuating pusher 22 towards its inactive position has a determined value. It is for example of the order of 60 N. The weight of the accessory being much less than 6 kg, this value of 60 N is here sufficient to allow the accessory 10 to be supported without causing the pusher 22 to slide, and this, during all phases of vehicle rolling. This value is nevertheless sufficiently low so that the detachment of the accessory 10 from its support 12 remains easy and pleasant for the user.
[0067] The actuation direction “D2” is here orthogonal to the nesting direction “DI”. The actuation direction “D2” is here oriented vertically, as shown in [Fig.6]. The sliding of the body 21 of the second mounting support 18 relative to the first mounting support 16 is carried out from top to bottom.
[0068] Alternatively, the actuation direction “D2” may be inclined relative to the nesting direction “DI”.
[0069] Thus, by applying to the accessory 10 a force “F” directed in the actuation direction “D2” and downwards and with an intensity greater than the determined value, here 60 N, this causes the body 21 of the second mounting support 18 to slide relative to the first 16 mounting support, as shown in [Fig. 13]. In doing so, the actuating pusher 22 of the second actuating support 18 presses downwards on the actuating face 24. Thus, while the body 21 of the second mounting support 18 continues to slide in the direction “D2” of actuation, the actuation pusher 22 is retained by the thrust face 24.
[0070] This causes the actuating pusher 22 to slide in the actuating direction “D2” relative to the body 21 from the inactive position to the active position from bottom to top.
[0071] The thrust face 24 advantageously has a ramp shape inclined relative to the nesting direction “DI” so as to produce a disengagement force in the nesting direction “DI” but in a disassembly direction opposite to the assembly direction, here longitudinally towards the rear, under the effect of the force “F” which causes the assembly supports 16, 18 to slide relative to each other, as shown in [Fig. 14].
[0072] The detachable mounting device 14 thus advantageously makes it possible to cause the accessory to detach automatically when a force “F” is exerted on the latter in the actuation direction “D2” and downwards, with a force greater than a determined value. The determined value is, for example, 60 N to meet certain regulatory safety requirements.
[0073] Figures 2 to 14 show an embodiment of the invention of the detachable mounting device 14 without limitation.
[0074] As shown in [Fig.2], to enable it to be fixed, the first mounting support 16 here comprises a fixing plate 26 which extends in a transverse vertical plane. A front face of the fixing plate 26 is intended to be pressed against the carrier element 12. The fixing plate 26 can be fixed to the carrier element 12 by any known means, for example by gluing or by screwing. The fixing plate 26 here comprises fixing holes 28 intended to receive screws (not shown).
[0075] The first support 16 comprises a protrusion 30. The protrusion 30 here projects longitudinally towards the rear from a rear face of the fixing plate 26. The protrusion 30 is delimited vertically by an upper face, forming the thrust face 24, and by a lower face, called the stop face 32. The thrust face 24 is thus carried by the protrusion 30.
[0076] The abutment face 32 extends in a plane orthogonal to the vertical direction “V”. The thrust face 24 has a ramp shape inclined downward from front to rear.
[0077] The protuberance 30 is also delimited transversely by two sides 34, each of which is hollowed out with a vertically elongated lateral striker 36.
[0078] The first fixing support 16 is here made in a single piece, for example in metal or in rigid plastic material.
[0079] As shown in [Fig.3] and 4, the body 21 of the second mounting support 18 is formed by a shell made of two half-shells 21A, 21B fixed to each other. The two half-shells 21A, 21B are joined here via a transverse vertical joint plane. Thus, the body 21 comprises a front half-shell 21A and a rear half-shell 21B. An interior space is thus closed between the two half-shells 21A, 21B to receive the locking members 20 and various components of the second mounting support 18, as will be explained later.
[0080] The body 21 comprises a rear face 38 intended to be pressed against the accessory 10. An opposite front face 40 comprises a housing 42 in which the protuberance 30 is intended to be fitted in the first fitting direction “DI”. The housing 42 is delimited vertically by an upper face 44 and by a lower face 46. In addition, the housing 42 is delimited transversely by two side walls 48.
[0081] To allow the protuberance 30 to slide in the actuation direction “D2” relative to the body 21, the protuberance 30 is received in the housing 42 with a slight transverse clearance allowing its vertical guidance. Furthermore, the protuberance 30 is received in the housing 42 with sufficient clearance between the two upper and lower faces 44, 46 to allow its sliding travel between its attachment position and its detachment position.
[0082] The body 21 is intended to be fixed to the accessory 10 by any known means, for example by gluing or by screwing. The body 21 is here intended to be fixed by screwing. For this purpose, it comprises a screwing orifice 47 which here passes through the bottom of the housing 42 and which is intended to receive a fixing screw.
[0083] Each locking member 20 is formed by a claw which is slidably mounted in the body 21 in a locking direction “D3” orthogonal to the nesting direction “DI” and to the actuation direction “D2”, as indicated in [Fig. 8]. The locking direction “D3” extends transversely here.
[0084] Each locking member 20 is here mounted to slide in the locking direction “D3” in the body 21 between:
[0085] - its locked state in which the locking member 20 extends in transverse projection versally in the housing 42 to be received in one of the associated lateral catches 36 of the protrusion 30 when the latter is fitted into the housing 42, as shown in [Fig.8]; and
[0086] - its unlocked state in which the locking member 20 is retracted transversely dirty outside the associated side latch 36 to allow the protrusion 30 to be disengaged, as shown in [Fig. 10].
[0087] The two claws forming the locking members 20 are mounted to slide coaxially in the locking direction “D3” between their locked state in which they are brought together transversely to each other to penetrate simultaneously into the two lateral catches 36 of the protuberance 30, and their depressed state. locked in which they are spread apart to be extracted from said lateral latches 36.
[0088] The catches 36 are in the form of grooves extending vertically so that the locking members 20 are received sliding in the actuation direction “D2” while blocking any movement in the fitting direction “DI”. This thus makes it possible to authorize the relative sliding of the body 21 with respect to the protuberance 30 when the protuberance 39 is fitted into the housing 42 and retained by the locking members 20 in their locked state.
[0089] The actuating pusher 22 and the locking members 20 are here formed from separate parts.
[0090] The actuating pusher 22 is here formed by the central part of an upper plate, notably visible in [Fig. 11], which is delimited downwards by a lower actuating face 50 which is intended to be in contact with the thrust face 24 of the protuberance 30. The actuating pusher 22 is arranged in the housing 42, as can be seen in [Fig. 3]. The transverse ends of the upper plate extend here on either side of the housing 42 by means of windows made in the side walls 48 of the housing 42.
[0091] The actuating pusher 22 is guided in sliding in the actuation direction “D2” by means of two vertical uprights 52 which extend on either side of the side walls 48 of the housing 42. The uprights 52 cooperate with the side walls 48 to guide the actuating pusher 22 in sliding. In addition, the actuating pusher 22 is also guided by cooperation with internal faces of the body 21 when the two half-shells 21A, 21B are assembled.
[0092] A lower plate 54 connects the two uprights 52. Thus, the actuating pusher 22 is part of a frame 56. The lower plate 54 has an upper face 58 arranged vertically opposite the actuating face 50 of the actuating pusher 22.
[0093] The sliding of the actuating pusher 22 is limited upwards by a stop 60 which is capable of coming into contact with an upper wall of the body 21. The sliding of the actuating pusher 22 is limited downwards by contact between the lower plate 54 and a lower wall of the body 21.
[0094] Advantageously, the elastic return force of the mounting supports 16, 18 towards their attachment position is produced by an elastic return member 62 of the actuating pusher 22. More precisely, the actuating pusher 22 is in permanent contact with the thrust face 24 of the protuberance between its attachment position and its detachment position. It is this permanent contact between the actuating pusher 22 and the thrust face 24 of the protuberance 30 which makes it possible to elastically return the body 21 of the second mounting support 18 into its attachment position relative to the first mounting support 16.
[0095] Advantageously, the locking members 20 and the actuating pusher 22 are here elastically returned, respectively in their locked state and in their inactive position, by a common elastic member 62 which is formed by a ring elastically flexible in its plane.
[0096] In other words, the ring has a constant perimeter but it delimits a shape that can vary when the ring is pinched between two diametrically opposed sections. In this case, the pinched sections move closer together while the lateral sections located on either side move apart. When the pinching pressure is released, the elastically flexible ring returns to its original shape.
[0097] For example, this is a ring made of an elastic material, such as plastic, an elastomer or metal. The ring is, for example, made of polyoxymethylene (POM) or polyamide 6 (PA6).
[0098] The ring forming the elastic member 62 can be completely closed, as is the case shown in the figures, or open, in particular when it is formed from a metallic material, for example steel.
[0099] The elastic member 62 also fulfills the function of transmitting the sliding movement of the actuating pusher 22 to the locking members 20.
[0100] The elastic member 62 comprises two lateral sections 62A which are received in a groove 64 of each locking member 20. The elastic member 62 is mounted prestressed in the actuation direction “D2” between a fixed face 66 of the body 21, formed here by the upper wall of the body 21, and the upper face of the lower plate 54 which is slidably secured to the actuation pusher 22, as shown in [Fig.7]. Thus, two lower and upper sections 62B are respectively in contact with the lower plate 54 and the upper wall of the body 21.
[0101] The sliding of the actuating pusher 22 towards its active position causes the elastic member 62 to be crushed against an elastic return force whose lower and upper sections 62N are brought together and whose lateral sections 62A are separated in the locking direction “D3” to control the sliding of the locking members 20 towards their unlocked position, as shown in [Fig.9].
[0102] The elastic return member 62 also comprises an angular indexing means relative to the body 21 in order to ensure that the lateral sections 62A are well received in the grooves 64 of the locking members 20. In the example shown in [Fig. 1 1], the ring forming the elastic return member 62 has a finger 62C which extends vertically upwards from the upper section 62B. The finger 62C is received in a notch 68 made in the upper wall 66 of the body 21.
[0103] When using the detachable mounting device 14, the body 21 is first fitted with the protrusion 30 along the first fitting direction “DI”. The locking members 20 advantageously have a beveled free end in order to allow them to slide automatically towards their unlocked state by contact with the protrusion 30 against the elastic return force exerted by the elastic return member 62 during the fitting operation. When the protrusion 30 is completely received in the housing 42, the body 21 is forced into its attachment position by the actuating pusher 22. The locking members 20 are then arranged opposite the catches 36 and they are elastically returned to their locked state by the elastic return force exerted by the elastic return member 62.
[0104] Thus, the protuberance 30 is fitted into the housing 42, as shown in [Fig. 12]. The lower face 46 of the housing 42 is clamped vertically against the stop face 32 of the protuberance 30 by the elastic return force exerted by the elastic return member 62 which presses the actuating pusher 22 against the thrust face 24. In other words, the protuberance 30 is clamped vertically between the actuating pusher 22 and the lower face of the housing 42.
[0105] The body 21 thus occupies its attachment position relative to the first mounting support 16. The actuating pusher 22 and the locking members 20 are held respectively in their attachment position and in their locked state by the elastic return member 62.
[0106] The locking members 20 thus retain the protuberance 30 in the housing 42 in the direction “DI” of fitting.
[0107] As shown in [Fig. 13], when a force “F” is applied in the downward actuation direction “D2” to the accessory 10 and / or to the body 21, the body 21 slides toward its detachment position relative to the protrusion 30, against the elastic return force exerted by the actuation pusher 22. The actuation pusher 22 is retained by the thrust face 24 of the protrusion 30.
[0108] During the sliding of the body 21, the assembly formed by the body 21 and the accessory thus slides downwards in the actuation direction “D2” relative to the assembly formed by the actuation pusher 22 and the protuberance 30, which remain fixed relative to the carrier element 12.
[0109] The ring forming the elastic return member 62 deforms by being pinched between the lower plate 54 and the upper wall 66 of the body 21. This causes a separation of the lateral sections 62A which cause the locking members 20 to slide in their stressed state.
[0110] As shown in [Fig. 14], during this sliding, the actuating pusher 22 presses on the thrust face 24 which is inclined. The pusher 22 actuating member therefore tends to slide longitudinally backwards. However, as long as the locking members 20 are received in the catches 36, they retain the housing 42 and the protrusion 30 in the engaged position. When the locking members 20 are in their unlocked state, nothing prevents the actuating pusher 22 from sliding on the thrust face 24. The force “F” therefore causes the two mounting supports 16, 18 to disengage when the body 21 reaches its detached position.
[0111] Thus, unlike existing detachable devices, the detachable mounting device 14 produced according to the teachings of the invention does not include a button capable of being pressed by a user's finger to carry out detachment. The user might therefore think that it is not possible to easily detach the accessory 10 from the carrier element 12.
[0112] To avoid this situation, the body 21 here has a projection 70 made on its external upper face. This projection 70 simulates the presence of a button in order to encourage the user to press on the body 21 in the actuation direction “D2” to detach the mounting supports 16, 18.
[0113] It is also possible to use a color code to encourage the user to press on this area.
[0114] In a variant of the invention not shown, it is also possible to arrange a projecting button integral in sliding with the actuating push button 22. Such a button could project outside the body 21 through a window provided for this purpose to allow a user to slide the actuating push button 22 via the button.
[0115] The detachable mounting device 14 produced according to the teachings of the invention is not limited to the example disclosed in the figures. Thus, it is also possible to provide individual elastic return members each associated with an associated locking member 20 and with the actuating pusher 22.
[0116] It is also possible to transmit the movement of the actuating pusher 22 to the locking members 20 by other means such as a cam system. For example by means of cams slidingly connected to the actuating pusher 22 and / or to the locking members 20.
[0117] It is also possible to provide locking members 20 and / or an actuating pusher 22 pivotally mounted relative to the body 21 to obtain the same effect as described previously.
