AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

Existing shellfish breeding systems, such as those using plastic bags suspended from support tables, are not suitable for varying weather conditions, particularly during winter with large waves and swell, and summer with weaker waves, as they fail to adapt the orientation of the bags to optimize shellfish handling.

Method used

A pocket system with two orientations for fixing to a support table, featuring first and second fixing means and a buoy, allowing the pocket to be suspended vertically or horizontally based on weather conditions, with a buoy that can be removed for different positions, ensuring effective shellfish handling in varying conditions.

Benefits of technology

The system effectively adapts to different weather conditions by allowing vertical or horizontal suspension, enhancing shellfish handling in both winter and summer by simulating strong sea currents in summer and natural shaking in winter, thus improving shellfish care.

Description

Title of the invention: POCKET SYSTEM FOR CONTAINING SHELLFISH Technical field

[0001] The present invention relates to a pocket system comprising a pocket intended to contain shellfish, such as oysters, and means for ensuring the attachment of the pocket to a support table. The invention also relates to a support table equipped with at least one such pocket system. STATE OF THE PRIOR ART

[0002] Currently, the farming of certain shellfish, in particular oysters, is carried out in bags, generally made of plastic, which are suspended from a support table.

[0003] Such a pocket is equipped with fixing means such as flexible ties which are also fixed to the support table.

[0004] The pocket is then suspended from the support table and tossed by the water during the tides.

[0005] Although such an arrangement is generally satisfactory, it is not suitable for changes in weather, for example between winter, when waves and swell can be relatively large, and summer when waves and swell are generally smaller. Statement of the invention

[0006] An object of the present invention is to provide a pocket system comprising a pocket intended to contain shellfish, such as oysters, and fixing means which ensure the fixing of the pocket to a support table in two different orientations, thus making it possible to orient the pocket in two directions depending, for example, on the season or the expected waves and swell.

[0007] For this purpose, a pocket system is proposed comprising:

[0008] - a pocket intended to contain shells comprising two opposite faces and connected to each other at four parallel joining edges two by two,

[0009] - first fixing means fixed to the pocket at a joining edge,

[0010] - second fixing means fixed to the pocket at one of the two faces, where the first fixing means and the second fixing means are intended to be fixed to a fixing bar of a support table, and

[0011] - a buoy removably attached to the pocket along the opposite joining edge and parallel to the joining edge carrying the first fixing means.

[0012] Advantageously, the pocket takes the form of a rectangular parallelepiped and the two faces are connected to each other by four other faces forming the joining edges.

[0013] The invention also proposes a support table comprising a fixing bar which is horizontal and a pocket system according to one of the preceding variants, where the pocket is fixed to the fixing bar by the first fixing means or the second fixing means. Brief description of the drawings

[0014] The above-mentioned features of the invention, as well as others, will appear more clearly on reading the following description of an exemplary embodiment, said description being made in relation to the attached drawings, among which:

[0015] [Fig-1] is a perspective view of a pocket system according to the invention,

[0016] [Fig.2] is a perspective view of a support table with a pocket system according to the invention in a first position of use, and

[0017] [Fig.3] is a perspective view of a support table with a pocket system according to the invention in a second position of use.

[0018] DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF EMBODIMENTS

[0019] [Fig.l] shows a pocket system 100 comprising a pocket 102 intended to contain shellfish, in particular oysters, first fixing means 104a and second fixing means 104b which are fixed to the pocket 102 and which are provided to allow the pocket 102 to be fixed to a support table.

[0020] [Fig. 2] shows a pocket system 100 fixed to a support table 50 in a first position of use in which the first fixing means 104a are attached to the support table 50 by links 52 such as flexible links.

[0021] [Fig. 3] shows a pocket system 100 attached to a support table 50 in a second position of use in which the second attachment means 104a are attached to the support table 50 by ties 52 such as flexible ties. The pocket 102 is made of mesh.

[0022] The support table 50 here comprises a frame 54 which rests on the ground by means of feet 56 and which comprises at least one fixing bar 58 which is horizontal and to which the links 52 are attached.

[0023] The pocket 102 comprises two opposite faces 106a-b connected to each other at four parallel joining edges in pairs.

[0024] In the embodiment of the invention presented here, the pocket 102 takes the form of a rectangular parallelepiped and the two faces 106a-b are connected to each other by four other faces 106c-f forming the joining edges.

[0025] The first fixing means 104a are fixed to the pocket 102 at a joining edge, here the face 106d. In the embodiment of the invention presented in [Fig.l], the first fixing means 104a take the form of two loops distributed along the joining edge.

[0026] The second fixing means 104b are fixed to the pocket 102 at one of the two faces, here the face 106a. In the embodiment of the invention presented in [Fig.l], the second fixing means 104b take the form of two V-shaped profiles distributed along the face 106a.

[0027] As shown in [Fig.2], the pocket 102 is fixed to the fixing bar 58 of the support table 50 by the first fixing means 104a, by the links 52, and the pocket 102 is thus suspended vertically by one of these edges, while as shown in [Fig.3], the pocket 102 is fixed to the fixing bar 58 of the support table 50 by the second fixing means 104b by the links 52, and the pocket 102 is thus suspended horizontally by one of these faces 106a.

[0028] The pocket system 100 also comprises a buoy 108 which is therefore an element floating in the water and which is fixed to the pocket 102 along the joining edge opposite and parallel to the joining edge carrying the first fixing means 104a.

[0029] Thus, when the pocket 102 is in the first position of use, the buoy 108 is oriented towards the ground, when the water rises, the buoy 108 begins to float and raises the pocket 102, which makes it possible to shake the shellfish. Such an arrangement is particularly advantageous in summer, when the waves and swell are reduced, because the buoy 108 makes it possible to artificially shake the pocket 102 and the shellfish, as if the sea currents were strong.

[0030] The second position of use is more particularly suited to winter, when the waves and swell are significant, and the pocket 102 and the shells are therefore naturally shaken.

[0031] The buoy 108 is fixed to the pocket 102 in a removable manner to allow its removal in the second position of use. The fixing of the buoy 108 is carried out by any suitable securing means, such as clamps. A fixing is said to be removable when the buoy 108 and the pocket 102 can be separated from each other without destroying either the buoy 108 or the pocket 102.

[0032] In the embodiment of the invention presented here, the buoy 108 is fixed at the face 106f opposite the face 106d.
