Device to combat cigarette butt littering

Abstract

A device to combat cigarette butt littering during outdoor festive events. It consists of an "Ecocup" (registered trademark) with a screw-on base (1), a cigarette butt receptacle (6) with a screw thread compatible with that of the "Ecocup" (registered trademark), featuring an opening for inserting the cigarette butts (5) and a locking mechanism (4). A strap (3), one end of which is attached to the receptacle and the other with an elastic band (2), can be attached to the "Ecocup" (registered trademark) to prevent the receptacle from falling when it is opened by unscrewing it, thus allowing the cigarette butts to be disposed of in the trash without the risk of them falling on the ground. This invention will therefore relieve the workload of cleaning staff at the end of events and, above all, protect the environment. Figure for the abbreviation: Fig. 1

Title of the invention: Device for combating the throwing of cigarette butts

[0001] The present invention relates to a device for combating the throwing of cigarette butts in nature.

[0002] In the context of an outdoor festive event, such as a music festival, smokers tend to throw their cigarette butts on the ground, especially when they are caught in the crowd during a concert and the bins are not accessible.

[0003] The device according to the invention makes it possible to overcome this drawback. Indeed, during outdoor festive events, such as music festivals, festival-goers are often equipped with "Ecocup" (registered trademark) to hydrate themselves. The objective of this invention is to integrate a temporary cigarette butt receptacle as an extension of the "Ecocup" (registered trademark) so that smokers no longer throw their cigarette butts on the ground and subsequently go and throw their butts in the bins, particularly at the end of a concert.

[0004] The device comprises an "Ecocup" (registered trademark) whose base is provided with a screw thread onto which a cigarette butt receptacle with a closing opening can be screwed, for inserting the cigarette butts. The cigarette butt receptacle can also be connected to the "Ecocup" (registered trademark) by a strap system followed by an elastic band to prevent the receptacle from falling when opening by unscrewing and thus to be able to throw the cigarette butts in the trash without risking them falling on the ground.

[0005] This invention will therefore help to combat the throwing of cigarette butts in nature, relieve the cleaning staff at the end of the festivities and, above all, preserve the environment.

A strap (3) one end of which is fixed to the receptacle and the other continued by an elastic band (2) which can be fixed to the “Ecocup” (registered trademark) to prevent the receptacle from falling when opening by unscrewing and thus to be able to throw the cigarette butts in the trash without risking them falling on the ground.

[Claim 1] Claims Device for combating the throwing of cigarette butts characterized in that it comprises an "Ecocup" (registered trademark) whose base is provided with a screw thread (1), a cigarette butt receptacle (6) provided with a screw thread compatible with that of the "Ecocup" (registered trademark) comprising an opening for introducing the cigarette butts (5) associated with a closing system (4), a strap (3) one end of which is fixed to the receptacle and the other continued by an elastic band (2) which can be fixed to the "Ecocup" (registered trademark) to prevent the receptacle from falling when opening by unscrewing and thus to be able to throw the cigarette butts in the trash without risking them falling on the ground.
