Description

Title of the invention: SHUTTER-FRAME ASSEMBLY AND VEHICLE COMPRISING SUCH AN ASSEMBLY

[0001] The present invention relates to the general field of motor vehicle bodywork elements, and more particularly to bodywork elements which form a shutter-frame assembly for a motor vehicle.

[0002] Indeed, a motor vehicle generally comprises several openings, flaps, or doors, mounted movably by means of hinges allowing openings provided in the vehicle to be closed or not. For example, for a vehicle trunk, the rear flap or tailgate of the vehicle is a hinged door or a sliding door which allows access to the trunk of the vehicle.

[0003] In the closed position, the edge of the tailgate comes into contact with the bodywork elements which form a frame for the trunk access opening, said edge, for example a flat area, coming to bear on a seal mounted around the entire perimeter of said trunk opening frame.

[0004] More particularly, the tailgate or flap comprises a stop, for example clipped directly into a plastic upright of the flap, which is configured to cooperate with a complementary shape and / or a structure arranged in a bodywork element of the frame. This type of stop makes it possible in particular to maintain the position of the flap after its closure and to preserve the alignment of the flap relative to the various bodywork elements (improving in particular the perceived quality). Such a stop also makes it possible to prevent the tailgate or flap from damaging the bodywork elements, for example the lights or the bumper, in particular when the flap or tailgate is closed too violently.

[0005] However, in the case of a tailgate, or flap, made of plastic material, the support zone of the trunk entry seal, the width of the stop and the production constraints of the flap upright, which is also a lining part of the plastic flap (therefore bonding zone and minimum clearance angle for demolding), imply a minimum width / thickness for positioning a stop and its complementary zone on the bodywork elements forming the frame.

[0006] Unfortunately, this minimum width of the plastic flap uprights therefore implies a reduction in the width of the trunk entrance opening. Whereas for the comfort of the vehicle owner, it is preferable to have the largest possible trunk entrance width.

[0007] The present invention thus proposes to remedy at least one of the aforementioned drawbacks by proposing a new type of shutter-frame assembly for a vehicle. automobile, several bodywork elements forming a frame, said shutter being configured to be mounted movably on the motor vehicle and to cooperate with said frame, said shutter comprising: - a structural element, or structural lining; - an interior trim which at least partially covers said structural element; - at least one stop, on the one hand, fixed to the interior trim, and on the other hand, configured to come, in the closed position of the shutter, to bear against a bodywork element of said frame; characterized in that said interior trim has a (transverse) projection oriented away from said flap, at least one stop being fixed opposite said projection.

[0008] Such an arrangement makes it possible to position the shutter stop as close as possible to the edge of the interior trim of the shutter and therefore to offset the area on which the stop comes to bear against the bodywork element of said frame, thus optimizing the width of the access opening delimited by the frame, for example an access opening to a trunk.

[0009] According to a possible characteristic, the interior trim comprises at least two walls: a first wall substantially parallel to the mean plane of main extension of the shutter and a second wall substantially orthogonal to the mean plane of main extension of the shutter, said projection extending said first wall. Said projection can be easily arranged in a wall of the interior trim, this by adding to the tooling, allowing the manufacture of said interior trim, a shim having a lateral movement during the manufacturing process. The addition of such a shim in the tooling is inexpensive and quite simple to implement, moreover, the production of said projection can be carried out with a shim already existing in the tooling and having an additional function.

[0010] According to another possible characteristic, the first and second walls are connected to each other at a junction point, said projection extending from the junction of the first and second walls.

[0011] According to another possible characteristic, the interior trim comprises an opening in which said stop is fixed. It is advantageous to have a stop attached to the interior trim so that it can be adapted to the motor vehicle, for example depending on the weight and / or dimensions of the flap on which the stop is fixed.

[0012] According to another possible characteristic, said stop is fixed to the first wall and is located less than 8 mm from the junction between the first and second walls of the interior trim (and therefore from the projection).

[0013] According to another possible characteristic, said interior trim of the shutter is in one piece. The interior trim is advantageously a single piece, reducing its manufacturing cost, said projection thus being integral with said interior trim.

[0014] According to another possible characteristic, the bodywork element(s) forming a frame comprise a body rebate in which a support zone for said stop is provided.

[0015] According to another possible characteristic, said assembly comprises a seal, said at least one stop being located, in the closed position of the shutter, between said seal and the projection of the interior trim.

[0016] According to another possible characteristic, said flap is a tailgate. The assembly according to the invention finds a particularly advantageous application in the context of a rear flap, or tailgate, which closes the access opening to the trunk of a motor vehicle.

[0017] The invention also relates to a motor vehicle, for example thermal, hybrid or electric, characterized in that said vehicle comprises a shutter-frame assembly as defined above.

[0018] The invention will be better understood, and other aims, details, characteristics and advantages thereof will appear more clearly during the following description of a particular embodiment of the invention, given solely for illustrative and non-limiting purposes, with reference to the appended drawings, in which: - [Fig.l] illustrates a schematic, partial, top and perspective view of a shutter-frame assembly according to the invention; - [Fig.2] is a schematic, partial and enlarged view of the whole of [Fig.l] - [Fig.3] is a schematic, partial, enlarged and sectional view of the whole of [[Fig.l]].

[0019] In the following description, the term "comprise" is synonymous with "include" and is not limiting in that it allows the presence of other elements in the vehicle, or the structure to which it relates. It is understood that the term "comprise" includes the terms "consist of". Furthermore, it will be noted that in the different figures, the same references designate identical or similar elements.

[0020] In the present application, it will be noted that "substantially parallel" means a direction deviating by at most 20°, or even by at most 10° or by at most 5° from a parallel direction. It will also be noted that "substantially orthogonal" means a direction deviating by at most 20°, or even by at most 10° or by at most 5° from an angle of a value of 90°.

[0021] [Fig.l] thus illustrates a schematic, partial, top and perspective view of a 1 shutter-frame assembly intended to be mounted or integrated into a motor vehicle, for example electric, thermal or hybrid.

[0022] Said assembly 1 thus comprises at least one flap 3 and one or more bodywork elements 5 forming a frame 7 (very partially illustrated), a frame configured to accommodate, in the closed position of the flap 3, at least one edge 3a of the flap 3.

[0023] In the embodiment presently described, the flap 3 or opening is a motor vehicle tailgate, that is to say a rear flap providing access to the trunk (not shown) of said vehicle, but the flap 3 according to the invention can be any opening of a motor vehicle, such as a side door.

[0024] Said flap or tailgate 3 is thus configured to be mounted movably on a motor vehicle, in particular on the bodywork element(s) 5, such as the roof or the rear pillars, etc., and to cooperate, at least the edges 3a of said tailgate 3, with the frame 7 delimited by at least one bodywork element 5.

[0025] The tailgate 3 can therefore take two extreme positions: an open position in which the frame 7 delimits an access opening to the trunk of the vehicle and a closed position in which the tailgate 3 comes to bear against the frame 7 and closes said access opening to the trunk.

[0026] [Fig. 2] is a schematic, partial, enlarged and perspective view of an area of the flap of [Fig. 1] which comprises a stop 11 configured to come, in the closed position of the tailgate 3, into abutment against at least one bodywork element 5 forming the frame 7.

[0027] It will be noted that the figures and the present description describe more particularly the right side of a tailgate 3, and the associated stop 11, of the motor vehicle, but the present description can be applied mutatis mutandis to an equivalent structure on the left side of the tailgate 3 of the vehicle. Thus, the tailgate 3 advantageously comprises at least two stops 11, one stop 11 on each side of the tailgate 3 of the vehicle.

[0028] The bodywork element(s) 5 generally comprise a structural element and an external skin (not shown), as well as a bodywork rebate 9 (more particularly visible in [Fig. 3]), generally metallic, which is configured to form the frame 7 intended to accommodate and cooperate with the edges, for example lateral, of the tailgate 3.

[0029] Furthermore, the assembly 1 comprises a sealing gasket 10 mounted on the body rebate 9, and which is configured to come, in the closed position of the tailgate 3, to bear against a part of said tailgate 3, preventing water from infiltrating through the joint between the flap 3 and the frame 7.

[0030] [Fig. 3] is, for its part, a schematic, partial and sectional view of the assembly 1 according to the invention, and more particularly of the stop 11 and of the zone of the frame 7 configured to accommodate said stop 11.

[0031] Said flap or tailgate 3 further comprises: - a structural element (not visible), also referred to as a structural lining, an element which can also contribute to the aesthetic appearance of the tailgate 3; - an interior trim 13, which at least partially covers said structural element and which is intended to define, in the assembled position and when the tailgate 3 is in the closed position, at least partially the face facing the interior of the vehicle (interior trim generally carrying all the technical elements necessary for the operation of the flap 3); - an external skin 15, more particularly visible in [Fig.l], which at least partially covers said structural element and which is, in the closed position, (at least in part) the external face visible, from the outside of the vehicle, of the tailgate 3.

[0032] The outer skin 15 is for example a stamped metal sheet and / or a plastic plate. The interior trim 13 is, for its part, generally a single piece made of textile fibers and / or plastic. The interior trim 13 is an element which contributes, among other things, to the rigidity of the flap 3, to the sound insulation of the vehicle, and also to the quality perceived by the user of the vehicle.

[0033] The interior trim 13 is generally an elongated and hollow part formed of several walls 13a and 13b delimiting a substantially polygonal shape, such as a parallelepiped.

[0034] Thus, the interior trim 13 comprises at least two walls: a first wall 13a substantially parallel to the mean plane of main extension of the tailgate 3 (or of the interior trim 13) and a second wall 13b substantially orthogonal to the mean plane of main extension of the tailgate 3 (or of the interior trim 13). The first and second walls 13a and 13b meet at a junction point 13c. It will also be noted that said two walls 13a and 13b at least partially delimit an edge of the interior trim 13.

[0035] Said interior trim 13 also comprises a projection 17 or protrusion which is oriented away from said tailgate 3. Said projection 17 is arranged at the edge 3a of the tailgate 3a, and advantageously in or on said first wall 13a. Said projection 17 thus extends the first wall 13a and therefore extends substantially in the main extension plane of said first wall 13a (therefore substantially orthogonally to the second wall 13b). Furthermore, said projection 17 is advantageously made of the same material as said interior trim 13.

[0036] Said projection 17 or protuberance has a partially rounded shape, for example substantially discoidal, and extends away from the junction 13c between the first 13a and second 13b walls of the interior trim 13.

[0037] In addition, said interior trim 13 comprises an opening 13c arranged in the first wall 13a in which the stop 11 is fixed, for example by clipping. Indeed, the stop 11 comprises sealing lips 11a and clips 11b (or clipping means). The stop is thus fixed to the tailgate 3 via the opening 13d of the interior trim 13 and the clips 11b, advantageously by the mechanical cooperation of the clips 11b with the opening 13d. The sealing lips 11a are then in contact with the first wall 13a of the interior trim 13, thus preventing water from infiltrating through the opening 13d.

[0038] Said opening 13d, and by extension said stop 11, is located opposite said projection 17, and close to the edge of the interior trim 13, and preferably less than 8 mm from the junction 13c between the first and second walls 13a and 13b, and preferably less than 6 mm from the junction 13c between the first and second walls 13a and 13b.

[0039] It will be noted that the interior trim 13 may also comprise metal reinforcements 13d to locally reinforce or stiffen certain areas of the walls 13a and 13b, in particular the areas close to the opening 13d.

[0040] Thus, in the closed position, the stop 11 of the tailgate comes to bear against a stop zone arranged in the rebate 9 of the bodywork element 5, while the seal 10 comes to bear against the first wall 13a of the interior trim 13, the stop 11 being located, in the closed position, between the seal 10 and the junction 13c (but also the projection 17).
