Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: Accessory box for roller shutter installation, associated mounting subassembly and roller shutter installation
[0001] The present invention relates to an accessory box for installing a roller shutter, in particular a box for a protective fabric such as a mosquito net. The invention also relates to a mounting subassembly comprising such an accessory box, as well as a roller shutter installation comprising such a box or such a mounting subassembly.
[0002] In buildings whose exterior walls have openings receiving joinery such as a door or a window, these openings are generally equipped with a roller shutter installation, in order to prevent intrusions.
[0003] In general, the roller shutter screen is attached to a winding tube, which is housed in a receiving volume provided in the upper part of an opening. According to non-limiting examples, the receiving volume is delimited by a box of the roller shutter installation, or is provided directly in the wall, for example in a lintel, etc. The winding tube comprises two end bearings, which are each supported by a respective bracket, so that the winding tube is pivotally mounted, relative to the brackets, around a winding axis. The brackets are integral with the wall, generally fixed to other elements of the protection installation, in particular each fixed to a respective guide slide of the apron.
[0004] To improve comfort in the building, it is known to provide roller shutter installations with a protective canvas, which allows air to pass through while preventing, depending on the case, insects and / or solar rays and / or dust from entering the dwelling. The protective canvas is generally wound on a winding shaft, which is sometimes called a "winder". To protect the canvas from dirt and / or friction, it is known to place the protective canvas and the winder in a box, this box itself being received arranged in the casing of the roller shutter installation.
[0005] EP2821582A2 describes, for example, an insect-proof cloth received in such a box, the box being clipped onto the internal walls of the end caps delimiting the roller shutter box. Such a box is therefore not suitable for lintel mounting.
[0006] It is these problems that the invention more particularly intends to remedy, by proposing a box for a roller shutter installation accessory, the box being both easy to assemble and disassemble, regardless of the configuration of roller shutter installation.
[0007] To this end, the invention relates to a box for a roller shutter accessory, the box being configured to house an accessory, in particular a protective canvas, in which: - the box has an elongated shape along a main axis and comprises two opposite ends, each end providing a fixing portion, - each of the two fixing portions is configured to be respectively fixed to a support element chosen from: • a support bracket for a winding tube of a protective screen for the roller shutter installation, or • a guide flange for the protective screen.
[0008] Thanks to the invention, the box is configured to be fixed directly to the brackets supporting the roller shutter shaft, the brackets being secured to the masonry. The box can therefore be mounted - or dismantled - whatever the configuration of the protection installation, that is to say regardless of whether the roller shutter installation comprises a box, whether it is mounted as a lintel or as a half-lintel, etc. A length of the box is adjusted to the spacing of the brackets, and a position of the box is aligned with the brackets, so that when a protective fabric, in particular a mosquito net, is received in the box, the risks of blocking of this protective fabric during the movements of this protective fabric are reduced.
[0009] According to advantageous but not obligatory aspects of the invention, such a box may incorporate one or more of the following characteristics taken in isolation or in any technically admissible combination: - The box comprises a central portion in the form of a hollow cylinder which extends along the main axis and which provides two end openings, and two cheeks, which are each configured to be fixed to the central portion so as to close the two end openings, while the cheeks are each configured to be fixed to a respective support element of the roller shutter installation, the cheeks forming the fixing portions of the box. - The central portion comprises cells, which extend along the central portion parallel to the main axis, while the box also comprises fixing members, which are configured to cooperate with the cells so as to fix each cheek to the central portion. - The box is configured to receive: • a winding shaft, which comprises two opposite ends, each of the cheeks comprising an orifice configured to support one of the ends of the winding shaft such that the winding shaft is pivotally mounted relative to the housing about the main axis, • a protective canvas, in particular a mosquito net, configured to roll up or unroll around the shaft in a direction of rotation of the shaft,
[0010] while the central portion provides a longitudinal slot, which extends parallel to the main axis from one cheek to the other and which is configured to allow an unrolled portion of the protective canvas to pass through,
[0011] and that each of the cheeks comprises an alignment member, which is configured to cooperate with a guide slide of the unrolled portion of the protective fabric, so that one end of each guide slide is aligned with the longitudinal slot. - Each cheek has a guide tulip, which is provided on an internal side of the cheek in question and which is configured to guide an edge of the unrolled portion of the protective fabric in the guide slide associated with the cheek in question.
[0012] The invention also relates to a mounting subassembly, comprising: - the box as defined previously, - two support elements, the support elements being: • either two support brackets for a winding tube of a protective screen for the roller shutter installation, or • either two guide flanges for the protective screen,
[0013] while each of the two fixing portions of the box is fixed to a respective support element.
[0014] Advantageously: - The two support elements are arranged opposite each other and each comprise: • an anchoring zone, which is configured to be secured to a wall, and • a fixing area, which is configured to be fixed to one of the respective fixing portions of the box. - The support elements are brackets, while each bracket is provided in a plate, preferably made of metal, extends along a mean plane and comprises a peripheral edge, and each fixing portion comprises stop means, which are configured to cooperate with the peripheral edge of the corresponding bracket, so that a mean plane is aligned with the mean plane of the corresponding bracket when the fixing portion is fixed to the corresponding bracket.
[0015] The invention also relates to a roller shutter installation, comprising: - the mounting subassembly as described previously, the subassembly mounting being secured to a wall in which an opening is provided, each support element being secured to the wall and being located, above the opening, opposite the other support element, - a winding tube with two end bearings, each of the bearings being supported by a respective bracket, the winding tube being pivotally mounted relative to the brackets about a winding axis parallel to the main axis, and - a protective screen, in particular a roller shutter apron, which is attached to the winding tube and which is configured to wind or unwind around the winding tube, depending on the rotational movements of the tube around the winding axis.
[0016] Advantageously: - The roller shutter installation includes a protective fabric, including a mosquito net, and a winding shaft, - the winding shaft is housed in the box, an upper edge of the protective fabric being attached to the winding shaft, so that the protective fabric is able to be wound around the winding shaft, while a lower edge of the protective fabric protrudes through a longitudinal slot in the box.
[0017] The invention will be better understood, and other advantages thereof will appear more clearly in the light of the following description of an embodiment of an accessory box for roller shutter installation, of a mounting subassembly and of a roller shutter installation, in accordance with its principle, given solely by way of example and with reference to the appended drawings, in which:

[0024] - [Fig.7] [Fig.7] is a perspective view of certain parts of the subassembly of [Fig.3], illustrating a third stage of assembly of the mounting subassembly.
[0025] A roller shutter installation 10 is shown, in [Fig.l], in a configuration of use, in which the installation 10 is fixed to a wall 12. The wall 12 comprises an opening 14, represented by a parallelepiped in dot-and-dash lines, which is formed through the wall 12. The wall 12 and the opening 14 are not part of the installation 10 but serve to explain the context of use thereof.
[0026] In the illustrated example, the installation 10 is received in the opening 14. Alternatively, parts of the installation 10 protrude from the opening 14.
[0027] The installation 10 comprises two support elements, which are here two brackets 20, each bracket 20 being secured to the wall 12 and being located, above the opening 14, opposite the other bracket 20. The two brackets 20 delimit between them an interior side of the installation 10.
[0028] Each bracket 20 is formed in a plate, preferably metal, more preferably steel. The brackets 20 are for example manufactured by folding and / or cutting. Each bracket 20 extends along a mean plane P20. In the configuration of use, the mean planes P20 are parallel to each other and are orthogonal to the same winding axis A10 of the installation 10. The winding axis A10 is also a longitudinal axis of the installation 10. Each bracket 20 is delimited in its periphery by a peripheral edge 21, which is oriented centrifugally to the winding axis A10.
[0029] In the illustrated example, the winding axis A10 is assumed to be horizontal, while the wall 12 is assumed to be vertical. The present description is made with reference to the orientation of the various elements shown in the drawings, knowing that it may be otherwise in reality. By definition, a plane transverse to an axis is a plane orthogonal to this axis.
[0030] In the non-limiting example illustrated, each bracket 20 comprises an indentation 22, which is substantially centered on the winding axis A10 and which is bordered by rows of notches 24. The indentations 22 are each provided to receive an interface part, which is configured to support an end bearing of a tube 26 for winding a protective screen, so that the tube 26 is rotatable relative to each bracket 20 around the winding axis A10. The tube 26 is represented schematically, in dotted lines, by a cylinder of circular section centered on the winding axis A10. The interface parts of the brackets 20, the bearings end of the tube 26 and the protective screen are not shown. The protective screen of the roller shutter installation 10 is for example a roller shutter apron, formed of slats hinged together. In the use configuration, an upper edge of the protective screen is attached to the tube 26, so that the screen winds or unwinds around the tube 26, depending on the direction of rotation of the tube 26 around the winding axis A10, while a lower edge of the screen rises or falls, in front of the opening 14, more or less closing the opening 14. More generally, each bracket 20 comprises an imprint 22, which is configured to receive a rotation bearing of the winding tube 26.
[0031] Each bracket 20 comprises an anchoring zone 28, which is configured to be secured to the wall 12. With reference to Figures 2 and 3, the anchoring zone 28 is here produced by a recess, which is formed in the bracket 28 by cutting and / or folding and which is configured to receive a fixing lug 30 belonging to the installation 10. In the example illustrated, the fixing lug 30, partially visible in [Fig.2], is itself fixed to a main slide 32, the main slide 32 being fixed to the wall 12, for example by means of screws. In a variant not shown, each bracket 20 is secured to the wall 12 in another way, for example directly fixed to the wall 12, by means of fixing members such as screws.
[0032] Each main slide 32 is surmounted by a main tulip 33. The two main slides 32 and the corresponding main tulips 33 are mounted opposite each other, here in the opening 14, so as to guide the protective screen, when the protective screen rises or falls in front of the opening 14, according to a main guide plane P32. The main guide plane P32 is here a vertical plane and parallel to the winding axis A10.
[0033] Each bracket 20 also comprises a fixing zone 34, which is configured to be fixed to a box 50. The box 50 and the two brackets 20 belong to a mounting subassembly 100 of the installation 10. The mounting subassembly 100 is shown in [Fig. 3], in an assembled configuration, the other parts of the installation 10 being hidden. When the installation 10 is in use, the mounting subassembly 100 is secured to the wall 12.
[0034] The box 50 is now described. The box 50 is configured to house an accessory of the installation 10. In the non-limiting example illustrated, the box 50 is configured to house a protective fabric, in particular an anti-insect fabric such as a mosquito net, or a sun protection fabric, an anti-pollen fabric, a blackout fabric, etc. The protective fabric is not shown in the drawings.
[0035] The box 50 has an elongated shape along a main axis A50 and comprises two opposite ends, each end providing a fixing portion 52. Each of the two fixing portions 52 is configured to be respectively fixed to one of the two brackets 20.
[0036] The box 50 is advantageously formed of several parts, so as to facilitate its assembly to an existing roller shutter installation but not yet comprising a box of the type of the box 50, in particular when the brackets 20 are already in place, secured to the wall 12. The box 50 here comprises a central portion 54, which has the shape of a hollow cylinder extending along the main axis A50, the central portion 54 providing two end openings which are each closed by a cheek 56. In other words, the box 50 comprises two cheeks 56, which are each configured to be fixed to the central portion 54 so as to close the two end openings. The two cheeks 56 advantageously have a symmetrical shape with respect to each other, which is valid for one of the cheeks 56 being transposable to the other cheek 56.
[0037] In the illustrated example, the central portion 54 is formed of two parts, which include a fixed portion 54A, which is here fixed to the cheeks 56 by means of assembly members 57, and a cover 54B, which is here assembled to the rest of the box 50 by clipping. The assembly of the cover 54B to the fixed portion 54A is preferably reversible, so as to allow access to the interior of the box 50, for example during maintenance of the accessory received in the box 50. The assembly and disassembly of the cover 54B to the fixed portion 54A is preferably done by hand and without tools.
[0038] To facilitate the assembly of the enclosure 50, the central portion 54, in particular here the fixed portion 54A, includes recesses 55, which extend along the central portion 56 parallel to the main axis A50. The recesses 55 are provided here along the fixed portion 56A and thus contribute to the rigidity of the enclosure 50. The fasteners 57, here screws, are configured to cooperate with the recesses 55 so as to fix each side 56 to the central portion 54.
[0039] The central portion 54, in particular the fixed portion 54A of the central portion 54, is advantageously manufactured by extrusion. The central portion 54 is here made of aluminum. Thus, during the manufacture of the central portion 54, once the central portion 54 has been cut to the desired length, the cavities 55 are immediately available at the end of the central portion 54, regardless of the cut length of the central portion 54.
[0040] In the illustrated example, the fasteners 57 are screws, the recesses 55 also being called "recess screws". In an alternative not shown, the fasteners 57 are rivets, or staples, or equivalent.
[0041] Each of the cheeks 56 is configured to be fixed to a respective bracket 20, the cheeks 56 comprising the fixing portions 52 of the housing 50. Each cheek 56 has a sealing portion 58, which is substantially flat and extends along a mean plane P58. For each cheek 56, the associated sealing portion 58 has a face internal, which is oriented towards the other portion of obturation 58 and which defines an internal side of this cheek 56.
[0042] Advantageously, each fastening portion 52 includes stop means 52A, which are configured to cooperate with the peripheral edge 21 of the corresponding bracket 20, in particular by complementary shapes, so that the mid-plane P58 of the cheek 56 is aligned with the mid-plane P20 of the corresponding bracket 20 when the fastening portion 52 is fixed to the corresponding bracket 20. The mid-plane P58 of each cheek 56 is thus orthogonal to the winding axis A10. In other words, the main axis A50 is parallel to the winding axis A10.
[0043] With reference to Figure 5b), the stop means 52A comprise two faces 52B, which are orthogonal to the mean plane P58 of the cheek 56 and which together form a dihedral angle, and a third face, which is parallel to the mean plane P58, while the peripheral edge 21 of the bracket 20 provides a dihedral angle complementary to the stop means 52A. Positioning the cheek 56 relative to the corresponding bracket 20 is therefore quick and easy, the assembly of the cheek 56 to the bracket 20 being secured by means of a fastener 53, here a screw. In an alternative (not shown), each cheek 56 is assembled to the corresponding bracket 20 by clipping, riveting, or other equivalent means. The stop means 52A facilitate the positioning of the cheeks 56 relative to the brackets 20, which helps to ensure good geometry of the subassembly 100 when assembling the box 50 to the brackets 20, contributing to the proper functioning of the installation 10.
[0044] In the illustrated example, the sealing portion 58 has a square opening 59, which is used for mounting a winding shaft for a protective fabric, in particular a mosquito net. The winding shaft is not shown. The opening 59 is configured to support one end of the winding shaft, so that the winding shaft is pivotally mounted relative to the housing 50 around the main axis A50. One upper edge of the protective fabric is attached to the winding shaft, so that the protective fabric is configured to wind or unwind around the winding shaft, depending on the direction of rotation of the winding shaft. The shape of the opening 59 is not limiting and can, of course, be adapted according to the type of accessory received in the housing 50. In the variant not shown, the opening is absent.
[0045] When the cover 54B is assembled to the fixed portion 54A, the central portion 54 advantageously provides a longitudinal slot 60, which extends parallel to the main axis A50. When the enclosure 50 is assembled, the longitudinal slot 60 extends from one side 56 to the other. The longitudinal slot 60 is configured to allow the passage of an unrolled portion of the protective fabric.
[0046] Advantageously, the mounting subassembly 100 also includes two slides guide rails 62, which are arranged opposite each other and which define a guide plane P62 for the protective fabric. Each guide rail 62 is positioned parallel to a respective main rail 32, so that the guide plane P62 of the rails is thus parallel to the main guide plane P32 of the main rails 32. Preferably, each guide rail 62 is attached to the associated main rail 32, preferably fixed to the wall 12, for example by gluing or screwing or equivalent.
[0047] Each of the cheeks 52 includes an alignment member 64, here having a tooth-like shape, the alignment member 64 being configured to cooperate, in particular by complementary shapes, with one of the guide slides 32, so that one end of each guide slide 62 is aligned with the longitudinal slot 60. In the illustrated example, the alignment member 64 has a tooth-like shape, which is received in a complementary recess of the corresponding guide slide 32. In an alternative not shown, the alignment member 64 includes clipping means, or equivalent, for fixing the cheek 56 to the corresponding guide slide 62.
[0048] Advantageously, each cheek 56 also includes a guide tulip 66. In the illustrated example, each guide tulip 66 projects from the sealing portion 58 onto an inner side of the corresponding cheek 56. Each guide tulip 66 provides a passage 67. When the housing 50 is assembled, the passage 67 is aligned, along the main axis A50, with the longitudinal slot 60. For each cheek 56, the corresponding guide tulip 62 is thus configured to guide an edge of the unrolled portion of the protective fabric in the guide track 62 associated with that cheek 56, thereby reducing wear on the protective fabric during its movements. When the housing 50 receives a protective fabric, each guide tulip 56 is advantageously configured to cooperate with a lower end of the protective fabric, so as to form a stop preventing the protective fabric from rolling completely into the housing 50.The lower portion of the protective fabric remains guided in the guide rails 62, reducing the risk of the protective fabric becoming blocked.
[0049] An example of the assembly sequence of the box 50 to the rest of the roller shutter installation 10 is illustrated in figures 5 to 7.
[0050] With reference to [Fig. 5], the two brackets 20 are initially fixed to the wall 12, facing each other. Each side 56 is positioned on its corresponding bracket 20 by means of the stop means 52A and the peripheral edge 21 of the bracket 20. Each side 56 is then fixed to its corresponding bracket 20 by means of the associated fastener 53. Advantageously, the fastener 53 is installed from the inside of the installation 10. This makes it possible to use a tool, for example a screwdriver or a power drill, to install the fasteners. fixing 53.
[0051] The two cheeks 56 are then opposite each other, the main axis A50 being parallel to the winding axis A10.
[0052] With reference to [Fig.6], while the main portion 54 is cut to the desired length, and more particularly while the fixed portion 54A is cut to the desired length, the fixed portion 54A is assembled to the two cheeks 56, by means of the fixing members 57 received in the sockets 55.
[0053] With reference to [Fig. 7], each guide slide 52 is engaged on the associated alignment member 64, such that one end of this guide slide 52 coincides with the passage 67 of the corresponding guide tulip 66. Advantageously, each guide slide 62 is then fixed to the main slide 32 against which this guide slide 62 is positioned.
[0054] The cover 54B of the main portion 54 is placed on the fixed portion 54A, so as to close the box 50, while preserving the longitudinal slot 60. Of course, if necessary, the installer puts in place the accessory of his choice, for example a winding shaft and a protective cloth, before positioning the cover 54B on the fixed portion 54A.
[0055] In the illustrated example, the box 50 is fixed to the brackets 20 by means of the screws 53.
[0056] According to an alternative configuration not shown, the roller shutter installation 10 comprises, in addition to the two brackets 20 supporting the tube 26 at its ends, two guide flanges for the roller shutter curtain. These two guide flanges are fixed to the wall 12 and serve to guide a wound portion of the roller shutter screen around the winding tube 26. The guide flanges are arranged opposite each other between the two brackets 20. Each guide flange advantageously includes an anchoring zone by which it is fixed to the wall 12. This alternative configuration is found, for example, when the opening 14 has a width, measured parallel to the winding axis A10, that is substantially less than a length of the winding tube 26. In this alternative configuration, the 50 box is advantageously fixed to the guide flanges rather than to the 20 brackets.More specifically, each of the two fixing portions 52 is configured to be fixed to a respective guide flange. Each support element advantageously includes a fixing area, which is configured to be fixed to one of the respective fixing portions 52 of the housing 50.
[0057] More generally, the brackets 20 or the guide flanges are support elements for the installation 10, to which the enclosure 50 is attached. When the installation 10 does not include a guide flange, the enclosure 50 is attached to the brackets 20, whereas when the installation 10 includes both the brackets 20 and the guide flanges, the enclosure 50 is attached, depending on the configuration, either to the brackets 20 or to the guide flanges.
[0058] The embodiments and variants mentioned above can be combined with each other to generate new embodiments of the invention.
