Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: AUTOMATA WINDING SYSTEM Technical field
[0001] The present invention relates to the sector of mechanical systems integrating automated devices. More specifically, it applies to the winding mechanisms of mechanical automatons. State of the art State of the art
[0002] In the field of automated machines, or "automatons," artistic crafts such as luxury watchmaking demonstrate exceptional technical mastery. These mechanisms transform precious stones and rare materials into animated works of art.
[0003] When this watchmaking skill is applied to art, it produces living sculptures that amaze. While some of these pieces are electrically powered for uninterrupted animation, others use a manual winding mechanism, giving it a timeless essence. This winding is generally carried out via a crank or a key.
[0004] These keys or cranks, being detachable, ensure that only their owner can activate the automaton. But these pieces of art, often seen as unique collector's items, risk remaining inactive if the key is lost.
[0005] A common approach to solving this problem is to create duplicate keys to anticipate possible loss. However, even these copies can be lost. A straightforward solution is to attach a fixed key to the mechanical device. While this method eliminates the risk of loss, it alters the magic of the mechanism because the key is always visible. Thus, anyone could guess how to operate the automaton.
[0006] The present invention aims to remedy or at least to alleviate the problems mentioned.
[0007] Another object of this invention is to develop a winding system which remains both attached to the automaton and hidden until its use.
[0008] Other objects, features, and benefits of this invention will be more clearly defined in the detailed description and illustrations which follow. It should be noted that other advantages may be incorporated therein. Summary
[0009] To achieve this objective, according to one embodiment, a mechanical automaton is provided comprising a manual control member and a mechanical animation system, the manual control member comprising a gripping element attached to the automaton and configured so that its rotation in a main direction relative to the frame of the automaton causes the reassembly of the animation mechanism, in a first configuration, the manual control member is integrated inside the mechanical automaton so that it is not manually accessible, the mechanical automaton comprises a locking device configured to allow the release in translation of the gripping element in the main direction, from the inside to the outside of the mechanical automaton, so as to tilt the mechanical automaton from the first configuration to a second configuration in which the gripping element is manually accessible.
[0010] Indeed, this configuration offers an innovative technical solution which combines the reliability of a key attached to an integrated mechanism.
[0011] Without the present invention, mechanical automatons would either be constantly exposed to the loss of a key or would lack the possibility of a hidden winding mechanism.
[0012] This would result in a reduction in the functional reliability of these parts, since the loss or misuse of an external key can compromise the mechanical integrity of the machine.
[0013] Thus, the present invention makes it possible to optimize user interaction by making the reassembly process more reliable and secure.
[0014] In order to reduce the risks associated with the manipulation or loss of a detachable key, the skilled person would, at best, have considered a more conventional solution, such as duplicating keys or integrating a complex lock. He would not have intuitively designed a mechanism that integrates both security and a hidden configuration.
[0015] Therefore, the present invention provides a technically advanced approach, making it possible to eliminate common complications and improve the reliability of interaction with the automaton.
[0016] According to one embodiment, the invention comprises a method for reassembling a mechanical automaton comprising a manual control member and a mechanical animation system, the manual control member comprising a gripping element attached to the automaton and configured so that its rotation in a main direction relative to the frame of the automaton causes the reassembly of the animation mechanism, in a first configuration, the manual control member is integrated inside the mechanical automaton so that it is not manually accessible, the mechanical automaton comprises a locking device configured to allow the release in translation of the gripping element in the main direction, from the inside to the outside of the mechanical automaton, so as to tilt the mechanical automaton from the first configuration to a second configuration in which the gripping element is manually accessible, the method comprising the following steps: - unlocking the unlocking device; - extraction by translation along the main direction of the gripping element from the mechanical automaton; - rotation of the gripping element in the main direction until the mechanical automaton is reassembled.
[0017] Another aspect relates to a box comprising the mechanical automaton, the box comprising a first upper wall configured to be driven in rotation along the main axis, the first wall being advantageously configured to serve as a cover of the box. Brief description of the figures

[0022] The drawings are given by way of example and are not limiting of the invention. They constitute schematic representations of principle intended to facilitate the understanding of the invention and are not necessarily on the scale of practical applications. Detailed Description
[0023] Before commencing a detailed review of embodiments of the invention, optional features are set out below which may optionally be used in combination or alternatively.
[0024] According to one example, the locking device has a first cooperation element and the manual control member comprises a first complementary cooperation element, the first cooperation element and the first complementary cooperation element being configured to cooperate in contact with each other in order to maintain the mechanical automaton in the first configuration.
[0025] This ensures stable and reliable fixing of the automaton in the first configuration.
[0026] Indeed, by using two complementary elements which cooperate in contact, the automaton is held in the main direction in a secure manner, avoiding any unwanted movement.
[0027] According to one example, the locking device comprises a first locking ring comprising the first cooperation element and holding the automaton in the first configuration, the locking ring being configured to be driven in rotation in the main direction from a first angular closing position to a first angular opening position in order to cause the system to tilt from the first configuration to the second configuration.
[0028] This allows for a smooth and controlled transition between the two configurations.
[0029] Indeed, by rotating the ring, the user can easily and intuitively switch the automaton from one configuration to another, while guaranteeing secure locking in each position.
[0030] According to one example, the locking device comprises a second locking ring having a second cooperation element, the manual control member comprises a second complementary cooperation element, the second cooperation element and the second complementary cooperation element being configured to cooperate in contact with each other in order to maintain the mechanical automaton in the first configuration, the second locking ring being configured to be manually driven in rotation in the main direction from a second angular closing position to a second angular opening position in order to cause the system to tilt from the first configuration to the second configuration.
[0031] This allows the user to be provided with several locking and unlocking options.
[0032] Indeed, with two locking rings, the security of the machine is reinforced as is its reliability over time, thus increasing the versatility of the machine.
[0033] According to one example, the locking device comprises an elastic element 28 configured to be compressed in the first configuration and to be released in the second configuration so as to allow the mechanical expulsion of the gripping element from the inside to the outside of the machine.
[0034] This allows automated ejection of the gripping element as soon as all of the cooperation elements are in the angular opening position.
[0035] In fact, the elastic element serves as a spring, which facilitates the handling of the gripping element without additional effort on the part of the user.
[0036] According to one example, the locking device is contained in a cylindrical envelope whose diameter is less than 60 mm, preferably less than or equal to 50 mm.
[0037] This allows for compact and discreet integration of the device within the automaton.
[0038] Indeed, by confining the device in a small envelope, the aesthetics and ergonomics of the automaton are preserved, while offering a robust locking solution.
[0039] According to one example, the locking ring and the first upper wall form a part which is integral in rotation around the main axis.
[0040] This allows perfect synchronization between the ring and the wall during rotation. This also allows easy handling of the ring for the user who only has to manipulate the rotating wall in the main direction Xi6.
[0041] Indeed, by being integral, the ring and the upper wall move together, guaranteeing a coordinated movement and avoiding any potential shift.
[0042] According to one example, the box comprises a second upper wall and an additional locking ring such that the additional locking ring and the second upper wall form a part which is integral in rotation around the main axis.
[0043] This allows modular expansion of the automaton's functionality.
[0044] Indeed, by adding an additional locking ring and a second wall, the user benefits from more configuration and functionality options, thus enriching the user experience.
[0045] The term "gripping element" means the manually accessible portion which allows the mechanism to be wound manually; it may advantageously be a handle, a lever, a latch or a key.
[0046] By "manual winding of the mechanism" or other equivalent formulations, we mean the winding of the mechanism using one hand, preferably without tools.
[0047] It is specified that, in the context of the present invention, the terms “on”, “overcomes”, “covers”, “underlying”, “opposite” and their equivalents do not necessarily mean “in contact with”.
[0048] In the following description, unless otherwise indicated, when reference is made to absolute position qualifiers, such as the terms "front", "back", "top", "bottom", "left", "right", etc., or relative position qualifiers, such as the terms "above", "below", "upper", "lower", etc., or to orientation qualifiers, such as the terms "horizontal", "vertical", "lateral", etc., reference is made to the orientation of the corresponding figures, with the retention device placed in its operating configuration. operation.
[0049] An element located "perpendicular to" or "in line with" another element means that these two elements are both located on the same line perpendicular to a plane in which a lower or upper face of an element mainly extends.
[0050] The terms "substantially", "approximately", "of the order of" mean "approximately to within 10%, preferably to within 5%" or, with regard to an angular orientation, "to within 10°". "Thus, a direction substantially normal to a plane means a direction having an angle of 90+10° relative to the plane.
[0051] In the remainder of the description, the term “on” does not necessarily mean “directly on”. Thus, when it is indicated that a part or member A is supported “on” a part or member B, this does not mean that the parts or members A and B are necessarily in direct contact with each other. These parts or members A and B may be either in direct contact or be supported on each other by means of one or more other parts. The same applies to other expressions such as, for example, the expression “A acts on B”, which may mean “A acts directly on B” or “A acts on B by means of one or more other parts”.
[0052] In the present patent application, when it is indicated that two parts are distinct, this means that these parts are separate. They are: - positioned at a distance from each other, and / or - movable relative to each other and / or - integral with each other by being fixed by added elements, this fixing being removable or not.
[0053] A single-piece unit cannot therefore be made up of two separate parts.
[0054] The term “first configuration” will be understood to mean the locked configuration or locking configuration in which the gripping element 16 is not manually accessible. That is to say that manual winding of the automaton is impossible.
[0055] The second configuration will be understood to mean the unlocked configuration or unlocking configuration in which the gripping element 16 is manually accessible. That is to say that manual winding of the automaton is possible.
[0056] FUNCTIONAL APPROACH
[0057] According to a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the mechanical automaton 10 is configured to allow the activation of a mechanical animation system 14. The mechanical animation system 14 is activated by winding a manual control member 12 along a main direction X16. Winding the automaton 10 advantageously allows the actuation of a mechanism 141 which may comprise gears or any other mechanical system making it possible to animate elements of the mechanical system. decorative and / or ornamental according to predefined degrees of freedom. This could be translational movement or rotational movements or even combined rotational and translational movement.
[0058] According to another preferred embodiment, the mechanical automaton 10 is configured so that it can be wound manually by a user 2. The mechanical automaton 10 comprises a locking device 20 which retains a manual control member 12 inside the frame 11 of the automaton 10 so that the manual control member 12 is only accessible in an unlocked configuration.
[0059] According to a particular embodiment, the locking device 20 is configured to alternate between a locked configuration in which the gripping element 16 is not accessible and an unlocked configuration in which the gripping element 16 is manually accessible in order to allow the mechanics of the automaton 10 to be reassembled.
[0060] The locking device 20 preferably comprises at least one manually accessible ring 26 configured so as to allow the release in translation of the gripping element 16 in order to make this element outside the frame 11 of the automaton and thus manually accessible to the user 2. Thus, the actuation of this ring allows the selective switching of the system between the two configurations.
[0061] Advantageously, in the locked configuration, the locking device 20 holds the gripping element 16 at least partially inside the frame 11 of the automaton and preferably entirely inside the frame 11.
[0062] Advantageously, it is not possible to reassemble the automaton in the locked configuration.
[0063] Preferably, in the unlocked configuration, the gripping element 16 projects relative to the frame 11, thus allowing easier gripping for the user 2.
[0064] According to a particular embodiment, the automaton 10 is configured so that the first locking ring 26 is respectively in an angular opening position so as to allow at least partial extraction of the gripping element 16 outside the frame 11.
[0065] According to a particular embodiment, the locking device 20 comprises a first ring 26 and a second ring 30 which are configured so as to be able to be driven in rotation in the main direction XI6. This rotational drive allows unlocking of the manual control member 12 when the unlocking ring 26 and the second unlocking ring 30 are respectively in their angular opening positions so as to allow at least partial extraction of the gripping element 16 outside the frame 11.
[0066] According to a complementary embodiment, the automaton 10 comprises a third unlocking ring 38. Advantageously, the third unlocking ring 38 is integral with the first wall 40 of the box 36. The locking device 20 is configured so that the fourth unlocking ring 39 is in an angular opening position to allow the extraction of the gripping element 16 from the frame 11.
[0067] According to another embodiment, the automaton 10 is configured so that the fourth unlocking ring 39 is in an angular opening position allowing the extraction of the gripping element 16 from the frame 11. The fourth unlocking ring 39 is advantageously secured to the second wall 50 of the box 36.
[0068] According to a particular embodiment, the first upper wall 40 and the second upper wall 50 are respectively integral in rotation along the main direction Xi6 with a first ring and a second ring. Preferably, the first upper wall 40 and the second upper wall 50 respectively support a first and a second mechanical animation system 14. The mechanical automaton 10 can then be configured so that the rotational drive of the shaft 13 having a thread successively drives the first mechanical animation system 14 then the second mechanical animation system 14 as a function of the translational advancement of the threaded shaft 13 along the main direction Xi6. In other words, the shaft 13 successively and / or simultaneously drives the two mechanical animation systems distributed on either side of the shaft 13.Preferably, at least the first ring and preferably the two rings respectively surround a first intermediate mechanism and a second intermediate mechanism. Preferably, these intermediate mechanisms are gear elements configured to transmit the mechanical movement of the shaft 13 to the mechanical animation systems 14. Preferably, the intermediate mechanisms are configured to be driven in rotation relative to the first and second rings and in a direction orthogonal to the main direction Xi6.
[0069] The first ring is advantageously configured to accommodate a gear so as to allow the actuation of the first animation mechanism secured to the first upper wall 40.
[0070] The second ring is advantageously configured to be crossed by a gear so as to allow the actuation of the second animation mechanism secured to the second upper wall 50.
[0071] STRUCTURAL APPROACH
[0072] Preferably, the mechanical automaton 10 comprises a combination of carefully arranged mechanical components. These components are configured so as to offer a harmonious experience to the user 2 while ensuring the robustness and reliability of the mechanism.
[0073] According to one example, the mechanical animation system 14 is configured to be driven into motion by activating the winding of the mechanism. The precision of the components allows synchronization between the elements that make up the mechanical animation system 14, thus optimizing the fluidity of the movement.
[0074] ELEMENTS OF COOPERATION
[0075] Advantageously, the locking device 20 comprises a first cooperation element 22. The manual control member 12, comprising a first complementary cooperation element 24. These last two elements being configured so as to cooperate in contact with each other, thus maintaining the mechanical automaton 10 in the locked configuration. Advantageously, the first cooperation element 22 may be a projecting element configured to retain the complementary cooperation element 24 which may then be a groove or an opening. Alternatively, the first cooperation element 22 may be a groove or an opening configured to retain the complementary cooperation element 24 which may then be a projecting element.
[0076] According to one example, the first cooperation element 22 is carried by the first locking ring 26. This ring 26 is configured to be driven in rotation in the main direction XI6, passing from a first angular closing position to a first angular opening position. This movement induces the system to tilt from the first configuration to the second configuration.
[0077] Advantageously, the gripping element 16 and at least one ring, preferably a plurality of rings, are configured to be driven in rotation along the same central axis, parallel to the main direction XI6.
[0078] According to another example, the locking device 20 also comprises a second locking ring 30. Advantageously, the second locking ring 30 comprises a second cooperation element 32, and the manual control member 12 comprises a second complementary cooperation element 34. These elements are configured to cooperate with each other, thus maintaining the mechanical automaton 10 in the first configuration. The second locking ring 30 is also configured to be manually driven in rotation in the main direction XI6, thus allowing selective passage from a second angular closing position to a second angular opening position.
[0079] According to a further example, the locking device 20 comprises an elastic element 28, which is configured to be compressed in the first configuration and released in the second. This action allows the mechanical expulsion of the gripping element 16 from the inside to the outside of the automaton 10. This elastic element 28 is advantageously a helical spring, preferably made of metal.
[0080] Preferably, the rings, in particular the first locking ring 26 and the second locking ring 30, comprise cooperation elements which, when stressed, make it possible to engage or disengage the locking mechanism. Once the desired configuration is reached, the rings 26, 30 remain in position.
[0081] The locking device is distinguished in particular by the presence of a gripping element advantageously mounted on a shaft 13.
[0082] According to one example, the gripping element 12 is configured to ensure the rotational guidance of the shaft 13 during the mechanical winding phases.
[0083] Preferably, to accentuate the precision and fluidity of the rotary movement, the shaft is judiciously placed in pivot connection with the frame 11 of the automaton 12. This connection is achieved using guide elements 15, which may possibly be plain bearings or, according to another example, ball bearings.
[0084] Advantageously, the shaft 13 comprises an external thread, preferably associated with a winding spring 27. The winding spring 27 is configured so as to allow the mechanism to be wound by a helical connection. Advantageously, this arrangement optimizes the transmission of force while guaranteeing increased durability of the mechanism.
[0085] The gripping system 12 is preferably included in an envelope having a shape of revolution, thus providing ergonomics within the automaton. The cylindrical shape can be preferred, because it allows a uniform distribution of stresses and ease of integration into complex mechanisms.
[0086] Preferably, the gripping system 12 is inscribed in a cylindrical envelope whose axis of revolution is collinear with the central axis of rotation. Advantageously, the diameter of the cylindrical envelope is identical to the external diameter of the rings.
[0087] MATERIALS
[0088] According to one example, the mechanical automaton 10 is made from high-quality materials. Materials such as stainless steel, brass, or other alloys are configured to provide high durability and corrosion resistance. The elastic element 28 may be made from specific rubbers or polymers or also from metal alloys.
[0089] METHOD
[0090] The method of reassembling the mechanical automaton 10 can follow a series of methodological steps: - unlocking the unlocking device, in fact, this step is essential to ensure the adequate preparation of the machine for the extraction of the gripping element. extraction of the gripping element 16, thus the gripping element 16 translates out of the main structure of the mechanical automaton 10 along a central axis extending in the direction XI6. The specificity of this translation along the central axis guarantees precise maneuvering, thus minimizing the risk of disturbance of adjacent mechanisms. rotation of the gripping element 16 in the direction X16: The rotation of the gripping element 16 in the direction X16 makes it possible to activate the winding mechanism of the mechanical automaton 10.
[0091] Indeed, the rotation specified along said axis allows optimal energy transmission within the mechanism, guaranteeing maximum mechanical performance and increased durability.
[0092] Thus, the adoption of this series of steps, within the framework of the reassembly method, ensures efficient integration of the gripping element 16 within the mechanical automaton 10, while preserving the structural and functional integrity of the assembly.
[0093] Preferably, the gripping element 16 is configured to be extracted from the frame 11 by at least 5 mm, preferably at least 10 mm, preferably at least 20 mm, preferably at least 30 mm in the main direction Xi6.
[0094] Preferably, the automaton takes the form of a notebook which in a closed configuration is included in a parallelepiped with a thickness of less than 10 cm and / or a width of less than 16 cm and / or a height of less than 23 cm.
[0095] Preferably, the automaton takes the form of a notebook which in a closed configuration is included in a parallelepiped with a thickness less than or equal to 5 cm and / or a width less than 11 cm and / or a height less than 18.5 cm.
[0096] Preferably, although described specifically, other configurations are possible, such as alternative locking devices or different gripping elements, in accordance with the main objective of the invention.
[0097] The present invention is not limited to the examples previously described. Many other variant embodiments are possible, for example by combining previously described characteristics, without departing from the scope of the invention.
