AI Technical Summary
Existing connected doorbell systems require the collection and storage of personal data for both residents and visitors, which raises privacy concerns.
A method that uses a QR Code or NFC label with a building identifier at the entrance, combined with a dedicated smartphone application and an intelligent agent, to establish communication between visitors and residents without storing personal data.
Enables secure and privacy-focused communication between visitors and residents by using identifiers that do not involve personal data storage, enhancing user privacy while maintaining functional doorbell-like communication.
Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: Connected Doorbell Without Personal Data Technical field
[0001] The present invention relates to a device enabling two people to be connected via their respective terminals (smartphone, tablet, computer, etc.) using an identification system affixed to the entrance of a building and an intelligent agent. State of the prior art
[0002] In the field of connected doorbells, we know, for example, from patent FR 3057124 B1 that the use of a QR code or an NFC chip affixed to the entrance of a building makes it possible to establish communication between two smartphones / terminals.
[0003] However, the above method has the disadvantage of requiring the collection and storage of personal data concerning both the holder and the visitor. Statement of the invention
[0004] The present invention relates to a method consisting of establishing communication between a visitor and a resident via their respective smartphone / terminal using an identifier affixed to the entrance of a building in the form of a QR Code or an NFC label while avoiding any storage of personal data, this method comprising the following steps: a. Affixing at the entrance of a building a label or plaque containing a building identifier (“BI”) in the form of a QR Code or an NFC chip. b. Each resident of the building downloads a dedicated application onto their smartphone / terminal. c. Each resident launches their dedicated application and thus triggers an internet session between their smartphone / terminal and an intelligent agent which assigns an identifier (“IR”) to their smartphone / terminal. d. Each resident scans / reads the IB identifier with the dedicated application and indicates the designation of the part of the building where he / she resides (“IBR”). e. For each resident, the dedicated application communicates the IR-IBR pair to the intelligent agent via the internet. f. The intelligent agent records for each resident the link between the IR and IBR identifiers. g. A visitor arrives at the building entrance and scans / reads the IB ID with their smartphone / terminal. h. The visitor's smartphone / terminal transmits the IB identifier to the intelligent agent via an internet session. i. The visitor chooses an IBR from a list provided by the intelligent agent. j. The intelligent agent brings the chosen IBR closer to the IR, which allows it to establish communication between the visitor's smartphone / terminal and that of the resident. Industrial application
[0005] The device will mainly be used as a complement or replacement for a doorbell, an intercom or a videophone with the ability to contact the resident wherever they are when the visitor arrives.
Claims
Claims
1. Method for establishing communication between a resident and a visitor via a resident smartphone / terminal and a visitor smartphone / terminal characterized in that the residents register their smartphone / terminal with an intelligent agent by scanning / reading an identifier (QR code or NFC chip) and where the visitor by scanning / reading the same identifier (QR code or NFC chip) is prompted to choose a resident and trigger the establishment by the intelligent agent of communication between the resident and the visitor without use of personal data.
2. Method according to claim 1 characterized in that the intelligent agent manages the call priority between residents having designated the same part of the building. In the event of no response from the first resident, the call is redirected to the next and so on.
3. Method according to claim 1 characterized in that in the event of no response by one or more residents, the intelligent agent enters into communication with the visitor and offers them various actions, in particular leaving a message (text, image, video, sound, etc.) or possibly transferring the call to a call center.
4. Method according to claim 3 characterized in that the intelligent agent sends alerts via the dedicated application to residents called unsuccessfully and communicates to these residents the messages left by the visitor.
5. Method according to claim 1 characterized in that if the building is a single-family house the device operates in a simplified mode where the residents do not have to indicate the designation of a part of the building and where the visitor does not need to choose such a part.
