Description

Title of the invention: MOTOR VEHICLE FLOOR WITH VISUAL MARKING FOR SEALING CORD Technical field

[0001] The present invention relates to the field of motor vehicles, more particularly the field of the structure of motor vehicles. Prior art

[0002] Motor vehicle platforms comprising a tray for traction electric energy accumulators, commonly referred to as a battery tray, have a passenger compartment floor fixed to the side members and form a cavity for receiving the traction batteries, said cavity being conventionally configured to be entirely covered by said battery tray. Such a design makes it possible to optimize the volumetric density of the batteries, ensuring an increase in energy density and cost reductions.

[0003] Conventionally, when assembling motor vehicles comprising this type of platform, a sealing gasket is generally placed on the floor prior to the installation of the battery tray, so as to ensure the sealing of the underbody preventing the passage of water from the outside into the passenger compartment.

[0004] However, the installation of the sealing joints may be subject to precision problems, which may lead to defects and non-conformities of the assemblies. These problems may be linked to contamination of the battery receiving cavity and / or to an excess of deposited cord, which may cause overflow onto elements of the structure of the motor vehicle.

[0005] Document CN 216969800 U discloses a motor vehicle chassis comprising a floor receiving traction batteries arranged in a hollow part formed in a corresponding cover, the latter comprising a sealing gasket intended to be sandwiched between an edge of the cover and the floor.

[0006] However, the solution proposed by the document does not prevent incorrect installation of the seal on the battery cover. Indeed, the proposal presented in the document does not effectively address the problem of incorrect installation of the seal on the floors, thus leaving risks of non-conformity in the assembly of motor vehicles. Statement of the invention

[0007] The present invention aims to overcome at least one of the drawbacks of the aforementioned state of the art. More particularly, the invention aims to offer a simple and economical solution to ensure correct application of the sealing bead, guaranteeing the conformity of motor vehicle assemblies.

[0008] To this end, the invention relates to a passenger compartment floor for a motor vehicle, comprising: - a peripheral strip intended to receive a sealing cord and a tray for electrical traction energy accumulators, so as to form with said floor a cavity for receiving said traction energy accumulators; remarkable in that said peripheral strip of the floor comprises at least one peripheral marking notch configured to transversely delimit the sealing bead between an outer edge of the floor and a perimeter of a receiving area of the tray on said peripheral strip, said perimeter being contained inside said outer edge of the floor.

[0009] According to one embodiment, the at least one peripheral marking notch comprises a linear shape extending substantially parallel to the outer edge of the floor and over a length equal to at least 100 mm.

[0010] According to one embodiment, the at least one peripheral marking notch comprises several linear notches distributed uniformly along an entire periphery of said floor.

[0011] According to one embodiment, the at least one peripheral marking notch comprises a transverse width equal to at least 0.5 mm and at most 1.5 mm.

[0012] According to one embodiment, the at least one peripheral marking notch comprises a depth presented from an external face of the peripheral strip, which is between 0.2 mm and 1 mm.

[0013] According to one embodiment, the at least one peripheral marking notch is transversely arranged at least 2 mm from the perimeter of the receiving area of the tray, and at most 8 mm from said perimeter.

[0014] The invention also relates to a motor vehicle comprising: - a chassis comprising two side members extending longitudinally on either side of a passenger compartment floor; and - a tray for electric traction energy accumulators, mounted on the passenger compartment floor and forming with said floor a cavity for receiving said traction energy accumulators; and - a sealing bead arranged on a peripheral strip of the floor, remarkable in that said floor is according to the invention, and the at least one peripheral marking notch transversely delimits the sealing bead between the outer edge of the floor and an outer edge of the tray which is contained inside said outer edge of the floor.

[0015] Advantageously, the at least one peripheral marking notch ensures lateral delimitation of the sealing bead between the outer edge of the floor and the outer edge of the tray, over the entire periphery of the floor.

[0016] The invention also relates to a method of assembling a motor vehicle, comprising the following steps: - assembly of a passenger compartment floor and two side members on either side of said passenger compartment floor; - installation of a tray for electric traction energy accumulators on the passenger compartment floor; remarkable in that the motor vehicle is according to the invention, said method further comprises a step of positioning the sealing cord on the peripheral strip of the floor, prior to the step of mounting the tray on said floor.

[0017] According to one embodiment, the positioning of the sealing bead is carried out directly between the outer edge of the floor and the at least one peripheral marking notch, said at least one peripheral marking notch visually indicating a delimitation of a space of the peripheral strip of the floor for receiving the sealing bead.

[0018] According to one embodiment, the assembly of the floor to the side members comprises welding said floor to the side members, and the mounting of the tray on the floor comprises screwing said tray to the floor and the side members.

[0019] The measures of the invention are advantageous in that the peripheral marking notches arranged directly in line with the peripheral strip of the floor constitute a marking serving as a positioning indication for precise application of the sealing bead, so as to avoid encroaching on the receiving area of the battery tray at the peripheral strip.

[0020] In addition, the use of peripheral marking notches also proves beneficial in facilitating the verification of the absence of contamination in the battery tray reception area. This helps to ensure proper assembly of the motor vehicle, making it possible to improve the quality of said assembly, and this, at a lower cost. Brief description of the drawings

[0025] [Fig.l] represents an exploded and perspective view during an assembly of a tray 4 for electric traction energy accumulators, commonly designated as battery tray 4, to a floor 6 of the passenger compartment of a motor vehicle 2 according to the invention.

[0026] The motor vehicle 2 is an electrically powered vehicle, in which the floor 6 comprises a hollow internal part forming with the battery tray 4 a cavity 5 for receiving the traction energy accumulators, said floor 6 advantageously serves as a cover for the battery tray 4, this is a design commonly designated by the English name: “Cell to Body”.

[0027] The motor vehicle 2 comprises a chassis 3 comprising two side members 8 extending longitudinally on either side of the floor 6. Preferably, the floor 6 is fixed by welding to the two side members 8, as well as to a front part 3.1 and to a rear part 3.2 of the chassis 3.

[0028] Advantageously, the present invention proposes a method of assembling the motor vehicle 2, comprising positioning a sealing bead (visible in [Fig. 3] and 4) in line with a peripheral strip 6.1 of the floor 6, and this, prior to mounting the tray 4 on said floor 6.

[0029] Advantageously, the positioning of the sealing bead on the peripheral strip 6.1 is ensured precisely and without overflow towards the cavity 5 or outside the outer edge 6.2 of the floor 6. Such precision is ensured by means of at least one peripheral marking notch, the shape and position of which will be detailed later in this description.

[0030] [Fig.2] represents a perspective view of the floor 6 of the motor vehicle 2 of [Fig.l], comprising at least one peripheral marking notch 10 intended to provide a visual delimitation for receiving a sealing bead on the peripheral strip 6.1.

[0031] Preferably, the at least one peripheral marking notch 10 comprises several notches 10 distributed uniformly along an entire periphery of the floor. 6, and which are more preferably identical. Each notch 10 comprises a linear shape extending substantially parallel to the outer edge 6.2 of the floor 6.

[0032] Alternatively, the floor 6 may comprise only one notch 10 which extends in line with the strip 6.1 and over the entire periphery of said floor 6.

[0033] Each linear notch 10 can be made by grooving (with removal of material) on the floor 6 or directly formed with said floor. Preferably, the notch 10 is directly formed with the floor by stamping.

[0034] It can be seen that the peripheral strip 6.1 comprises a plurality of orifices 12, these are preferably nuts 12 for fixing the tray to the floor 6, said nuts 12 being directly welded to the chassis 3 of the motor vehicle 2.

[0035] The dotted oval frame surrounding one of the notches 10 of the peripheral strip 6.1 corresponds to the enlarged portion visible in [Fig.3].

[0036] With reference to [Fig.3], it can be seen that the notch 10 is arranged between the outer edge 6.2 of the floor 6 and a perimeter 4.2 of a receiving zone 4.1 of the battery tray on the peripheral strip 6.1.

[0037] The receiving zone 4.1 (represented by dotted lines) allows the battery tray to be docked before it is screwed to the floor 6. The perimeter 4.2 of said receiving zone 4.1 is intended to be directly aligned with an outer edge of the tray (edge 4.3 visible in [Fig.4]), after said tray has been mounted on the floor 6.

[0038] Each of the pluralities of notches 10 extends parallel to the edge 6.2 and along a length equal, preferably, to at least 100 mm, and more preferably to approximately 150 mm.

[0039] Preferably, each peripheral marking notch 10 comprises a transverse width e equal to at least 0.5 mm and at most 1.5 mm. The notch 10 also comprises a depth presented from an external face of the peripheral strip 6.1 and in a vertical direction of the motor vehicle, which is between 0.2 mm and 1 mm.

[0040] More preferably, each notch 10 has a depth of 0.3 mm and a width e of 1 mm, and is arranged close to the perimeter 4.2 of the receiving zone 4.1, with a distance E between the notch 10 and the perimeter 4.2, equal to at least 2 mm and at most 8 mm of said perimeter, and even more preferably equal to approximately 3 to 5 mm.

[0041] The set of peripheral marking notches 10 constitutes a single visual marking over the entire periphery of the floor 6 making it possible to indicate the limit not to be exceeded for the application of the sealing bead, so that said bead is correctly positioned and without overflowing towards the receiving zone 4.1 of the battery tray. The notches 10 then make it possible to verify the non-pollution of said zone of reception 4.1 intended to receive the battery tray.

[0042] [Fig.4] represents a perspective view of the battery tray 4 mounted by screwing onto the peripheral strip 6.1 of the floor 6.

[0043] The sealing cord 14 is arranged on the peripheral strip 6.1 while being delimited transversely by the peripheral marking notches 10.

[0044] Advantageously, the set of notches 10 makes it possible to transversely delimit the sealing bead 14 between the outer edge 6.2 of the floor 6 and the outer edge 4.3 of the tray 4 which is preferably contained inside said outer edge 6.2 of the floor 6.

[0045] The sealing bead 14 may correspond to a prefabricated sealing joint (for example, by molding) and deposited when said bead 14 is put into position. Preferably, the sealing bead 14 is in the form of a composition (for example, silicone polymer) applied progressively over the entire peripheral strip 6.1 prior to mounting the tray 4 on the floor 6.

[0046] The operation of placing the sealing bead 14 is preferably manual, carried out by an operator. Alternatively, the placing of the sealing bead 14 can also be automated by means of a robot. In this configuration, the notches 10 can make it possible to improve the precision of the robot's guidance when placing the bead 14.

[0047] Advantageously, the present invention makes it possible, thanks to the peripheral marking notches 10, to guarantee a screw-mounted assembly of the battery tray 4 on the floor 6 which is compliant, with the sealing bead 14 strictly arranged on the peripheral strip 6.1, while being laterally distant from the outer edge 4.3 of the battery tray 4.
