Second-generation gutter system. The invention relates to a rainwater harvesting system installed at a height below the downspouts of the house's gutters (Fig. 1, abbreviated). The identical tanks, once assembled and fixed to the wall beneath the gutters, serve as a free water reserve. Description

Title of the invention: Device for collecting rainwater under the outlet of a downpipe.

[0001] Device for collecting rainwater in rectangular plastic tanks (5) (modules) installed under the downpipes of a house. A tap at the bottom of said downpipe allows the water stored in these tanks to be used ([Fig. 1]).

[0002] The device consists of a tank (5) with a capacity of 100 liters (L100 cm, H50 cm, D20 cm, dimensions not exhaustive). Depending on the needs and the desired length, the tanks (all identical) are joined together using sealing gaskets (3) and connecting sleeves (4) ([Fig. 3]), via the provided connection ports (1). Once the device is installed, the water flows through the modules, in a communicating system, with a slight slope created during installation, towards the downspout, to the access tap. The entire device is held along the entire length of the house, just below the gutters, by two rails (6) screwed parallel to the wall, onto which the modules are fixed using mounting brackets (7). This system allows for the collection of rainwater, particularly in homes without gardens.The water flow from the tap benefits from a certain pressure due to the device's elevated installation (water column principle). A garden hose can be attached to this tap for outdoor use.

1. Device for collecting rainwater under the outlet of a downpipe of the home, therefore at a height, characterized in that it consists of an assembly of tanks (modules) made of plastic material.

2. Device according to claim 1 characterized in that the water stored in the modules flows by gravity to a tap connected to a downpipe.

3. Device according to claim 1 and 2 characterized in that it allows, in case of overflow, the water to be evacuated through an upper orifice of 80 mm (1) via the gutter downpipe to the rainwater drainage network.

4. Device according to any one of the preceding claims characterized in that the tank (here referred to as module during assembly) has a capacity of 100 liters (L100 cm, H50 cm, D20 cm, dimensions not exhaustive).

Device according to any one of the preceding claims characterized in that pre-cuts for connection holes of 80 mm (1) are provided at each corner, on the four sides (right, left, top and bottom) of the tank, i.e. eight holes in total, which allows reversibility in the assembly of the modules, regardless of the direction of installation. 6. Device according to claims 4 and 5 characterized in that the tank has on each of its faces (front and rear) six orifices in which six 14 mm nuts (2) are inserted and fixed, arranged in two parallel lines, three near the upper edge and three near the lower edge (Fig 2).

7. Device according to any one of the preceding claims characterized in that the tanks are assembled together, using sealing gaskets (3) and connecting sleeves (4) via the pre-cut 80 mm orifices (1) provided for this purpose (Fig 3).

8. Device according to any one of the preceding claims characterized in that the device is held to the wall by two parallel rails fixed to the modules by the nuts provided for this purpose (Fig 3).

9. Device according to any one of the preceding claims characterized in that the device has on the face opposite to that fixed to the wall, with nuts allowing for the possible installation of a finishing cover, concealing the device once installed.
