Description

Title of the invention: Set of flush buttons for a toilet bowl installation

[0001] The proposed solution relates to the field of sanitary devices, in particular, a set of flush buttons integrated into a toilet bowl installation.

[0002] An invention patent RU2771679 discloses a flush button assembly of a toilet bowl installation, the assembly comprises a support frame having a rear surface that faces a mounting surface and a front surface that faces a user; at least one spring button that is rotatably mounted in the support frame; means for mounting the support frame on the mounting surface, the means comprise magnets and magnetizable elements corresponding thereto, some of the elements are mounted on the rear surface of the support frame, while other elements can be mounted on the mounting surface and can be adjusted with an offset therefrom by means of a threaded element.

[0003] According to the information provided in the patent, the knob and the frame are mounted so as to be flush with a wall in which the assembly is integrated. However, this adjustment of the assembly configuration is rather complex, since the magnetizable elements are essentially plates made of a magnetic material having an opening for the threaded element and are not fixed to the latter in any way, except by extension through said opening.

[0004] Therefore, an objective of the claimed utility model is to provide such a flush button assembly of a toilet bowl installation having a structural design that would simplify an adjustment procedure of mounting the frame with the button so as to be flush with a front surface of a finishing covering that faces a user, as well as make the adjustment more smooth.

[0005] The object is achieved by developing a set of flush buttons of a toilet bowl installation, the set comprises a support frame having a rear surface which faces a mounting surface and a front surface which faces a user; at least one spring button which is rotatably mounted in the support frame; means for mounting the support frame on the mounting surface, the means comprise magnets and magnetizable elements corresponding thereto, some of the elements are mounted on the rear surface of the support frame, while other elements can be mounted on the mounting surface and can be adjusted with an offset therefrom by means of a threaded element; where each mounting means of the support frame can be mounted on the mounting surface and is mounted on a separate base and is spring loaded.

[0006] Therefore, each of the mounting means of the support frame that can be mounted on the mounting surface is a magnet or a magnetizable element, i.e. an element that can be attracted by magnets, having an opening for the threaded element, however, unlike the prototype, it is spring-loaded, which ensures smooth and precise adjustment of the frame mounting with the knob or knobs during untwisting and twisting of the threaded element. At the same time, the bases allow the threaded elements to be fixed thereon, for example by means of a nut, as well as the magnets or magnetizable elements and the springs, i.e. to assemble a single structure and mount this structure on the mounting surface partially under the tile.

[0007] Ideally, the magnetizable elements are mounted on the rear surface of the support frame, while the magnets are mounted on the separate bases.

[0008] In another embodiment, the magnets are mounted on the rear surface of the support frame, while the magnetizable elements are mounted on the separate bases.

[0009] In a preferable embodiment of the claimed utility model, the support frame is rectangular, while the means for mounting the support frame to the mounting surface are mounted in its corners.

[0010] In another embodiment, the support frame is circular, while the means for mounting the support frame to the mounting surface are mounted along its circumference at equal intervals.

[0011] It is evident that, regardless of which mounting means are mounted on the support frame and which are mounted on the separate bases, the bases are mounted so that they correspond to the positions of the mounting means on the frame.

[0012] Preferably, the base has a mounting area under the finish covering. Therefore, the base can be fixed in required locations, for example, in corners of the opening for mounting the button assembly, if it is rectangular.

[0013] Ideally, the front surface of the frame and the knobs are coated with the finishing coating. In addition, the finishing coating is usually a ceramic tile that is an extension of an image of a surrounding coating. Therefore, the frame with the knob does not come out of the overall appearance of the wall. The corresponding areas described above of the bases are mounted under the coating. Most often, the finishing coating is the ceramic tile that is generally used to cover the surfaces of bathrooms.

[0014] In general, the claimed assembly comprises at least one threaded rod (in other words, a pusher) for connecting the button to a flush valve and a guide means having an opening for said rod. Said guide means is mounted in the opening for mounting the frame with the button so that its opening coincides with the opening of the installation itself in order to allow the rod to extend to the flush valve.

[0015] Preferably, the guide means comprises a first part having openings for attachment to adjacent bases with the mounting means of the support frame by means of a threaded connection, while said adjacent bases have openings which correspond to said openings; and at least one second part having an opening, the second part being movable in a vertical direction on the first part. The possibility of the vertical movement in turn allows the second part of the guide means and, consequently, the openings therein to be located so that they coincide with the aforementioned opening of the installation in order to allow the rod to extend to the flush valve.

[0016] Ideally, a rear surface of the button is provided with a slot for receiving one end of the rod. Therefore, the latter, when the claimed assembly is mounted, is screwed by means of the thread to the flush valve, extends through the opening of the installation, then it extends through the opening of the second part of the guide means and is inserted, with its second end, into the aforementioned slot of the button.

[0017] Preferably, the threaded rod comprises a mark which identifies a length of the portion of the rod which should extend beyond the opening of the second part of the guide means towards the knob. This mark allows said portion of the rod to be quickly adapted to the slot on the knob at a required length, as well as to place the rods at equal distances, if there is more than one rod.

[0018] The assembly may comprise at least one cylindrical guide which is rigidly fixed to the rear surface of the support frame on which the spring button is mounted. Consequently, the possibility of rotation of the button is ensured by said guide, while the elements which bias the button by spring ensure its return to its initial position after it has been pushed.

[0019] Preferably, the cylindrical guide is arranged horizontally or vertically, which will affect the direction of rotation of the knobs. However, of course, there are other options for arranging the cylindrical guide(s).

[0020] Furthermore, in a preferable embodiment of the utility model, the button is equipped with at least one gland seal on the side which is opposite the cylindrical guide. This gland seal is necessary to reduce or eliminate any noise that occurs when the button springs back after being pushed by the user.

[0021] It is clear that the button assembly is generally adapted to operate with a dual flush valve, i.e. a valve of a type that allows two different quantities of water to be alternately flushed from the toilet bowl (completely flushing and partially flushing the water contained in the toilet bowl) by means of two actuating mechanisms, thus, the assembly comprises two buttons that are coupled to corresponding actuating elements of the flush valve by means of the corresponding threaded rods. However, any other embodiment may be implemented provided that it does not contradict the claims of the present utility model.

[0022] As indicated in the claims and the description, the means for mounting the support frame on the mounting surface comprise the magnets and the magnetizable elements corresponding thereto. Therefore, it is provided that there may be at least two magnets and at least two magnetizable elements, but they may be provided in a larger quantity, and this depends on a shape of the support frame. This configuration makes it possible to benefit from the advantages of the utility model, i.e. to adjust the mounting of the frame with the knob or knobs smoothly and accurately during untwisting and twisting of the threaded element.

[0023] Bolts, screws, screw nails, etc. can be used as threaded elements.

[0024] The structure of the flush button of the toilet bowl installation is to be explained by the following drawings.

[0029] [Fig.5] illustrates a schematic view of the mounting surface with the bases mounted with the support frame mounting means according to [Fig.2] and 3.

[0030] [Fig.l] shows a schematic view of a flush button assembly of a toilet bowl installation (i.e. its surface that faces a mounting surface during mounting) according to one of the preferable embodiments of the claimed utility model. Said assembly comprises a rectangular support frame 1 having a rear surface 2 that faces a mounting surface and a front surface that faces a user, two spring buttons 3 that are rotatably mounted in the support frame. The assembly comprises a horizontally arranged cylindrical guide 4 that is rigidly fixed on the rear surface of the support frame, on which the spring buttons 3 are mounted, and that facilitates the above-described rotation of the buttons 3. The spring nature of the buttons 3 is ensured by elements 5 that bring them back after the user has pressed the buttons 3.The buttons 3 are equipped with gland seals 6 on the side which is opposite the cylindrical guide 4, the gland seals are necessary to reduce or eliminate any noise occurring when the buttons 3 spring back after being pushed by the user. The support frame 1 is equipped with means for mounting the support frame to the mounting surface which are in the form of magnetizable elements 7 which are mounted in its corners. These elements 7 are in the form of circular plates of stainless steel. Furthermore, each button 3 is provided with a slot 8 for receiving one end of a threaded rod (not shown in this figure) in order to connect the button 3 to a flush valve.

[0031] [Fig.2] shows a schematic view of the mounting means of the support frame 1 in the form of a magnet 9 which is mounted on a separate base 10 and is spring-loaded by means of a spring 11 and fixed to the base 10 by means of a threaded element 12. The base 10 has an area 13 for its mounting under the finishing coating.

[0032] For the rectangular support frame 1 which is shown in the figures in this specific exemplary embodiment of the utility model, the shown shape of the base 10 is preferably used for mounting in the upper left corner of the opening in the finishing covering. The reverse base 10 will be used correspondingly in the upper right corner of this opening.

[0033] For the lower corners of the opening in the finishing coating, it is preferable to use the base 10 and its inverse variant which have an additional opening 14 as illustrated in [Fig.3]. The purpose of said opening 14 should be explained in more detail with reference to [Fig.4]. All other elements which coincide with the elements in [Fig.2] have the corresponding references.

[0034] [Fig.4] shows a schematic view of threaded rods 15 for connecting the buttons 3 to the flush valve and of a guide means 16 for said rods 15. Said guide means 16 comprises a first part 17 having openings 18 for attachment to the adjacent bases 10 on both sides, the bases are mounted in the lower corners of the opening in the finishing coating, by means of a threaded connection to the corresponding openings 14 of said bases which are illustrated in [Fig.3]. In addition, the guide means 16 comprises a second part 19 having two openings 20, the second part is mounted so that it is movable on the first part 17 in a vertical direction. The possibility of vertical movement makes it possible to locate the second part 19 of the guide means 16 and, consequently, the openings 20 therein so that they coincide with the openings of the installation in order to allow the rods 15 to extend to the flush valve.

[0035] [Fig.5] illustrates a schematic view of the mounting surface with the bases mounted 10 with the magnets 9 according to [Fig.2] and 3. It can be seen that the areas 13 of the bases 10 are mounted under the finishing covering in the form of a ceramic tile 21. A position 22 designates openings in the installation which allow the rods 15 to extend to the flush valve.

[0036] The utility model can be mounted and operated as follows.

[0037] An opening that corresponds to the size of the support frame 1 is previously made in the finishing covering such as the ceramic tile 21. Said opening can give access to the toilet bowl installation. The bases 10 with the spring magnets 9, in particular, the areas 13 of the bases 10, which are mounted thereon by means of the threaded elements 12, are mounted in the upper corners of said opening under the ceramic tile 21, according to [Fig. 2], the bases 10 with the spring magnets 9, in particular, the areas 13 of the bases 10, which are mounted thereon by means of the threaded elements 12, are mounted in the lower corners of said opening under the ceramic tile 21, according to [Fig. 3].The first part 17 of the guide means 16 is connected to the lower bases 10 on both sides by means of the openings 14 of said bases 10 and the openings 18 of said first part 17 of the guide means 16 by means of the threaded connection. The second part 19 of the guide means 16 is positioned so that its openings 20 coincide with the openings 22 of the installation. The rods 15 extend through said centered openings 20 and 22 to the flush valve and are screwed up to a certain mark which is provided on said rods (the mark is not shown in Fig.). The support frame 1 is mounted in the opening of the ceramic tile 21 so that the slots 8 of the buttons 3 receive the free ends of the corresponding rods 15. Furthermore, the magnets 9 and the magnetizable elements 7 corresponding to them are arranged so as to be opposite each other, thus ensuring their mutual attraction. The arrangement of the support frame 1 with the buttons 3 so as to be flush with the ceramic tile 21 around the opening provided therein is evaluated. If . the condition for such an arrangement is not met, the support frame 1 is removed by applying a force which is slightly greater than the attractive force of the magnets 9 and the magnetizable elements 7. Then, all or part of the threaded elements 12 on the bases 10 are untwisted or twisted, and during this operation, the spring 11 provides the required spring biasing of the magnet 9. The last actions are repeated until the necessary effect is obtained, and the effect is a precise arrangement of the frame 1 so as to be flush with a coating surface.

[0038] It is clear that these figures and the description of the assembly operation are provided only as an example and that they can be modified in any way without departing from the spirit of the claimed utility model.

[0039] Therefore, the flush button assembly of the toilet bowl installation is provided, the assembly has the structural design that can simplify the adjustment procedure of mounting the frame with the button so as to be flush with the front surface of the finish covering that faces the user, as well as make the adjustment more smoothly.
