A media device and a method for outputting data stored in a wireless terminal to an external device through the media device are provided. The media device includes a radio frequency (RF) unit for communicating with the wireless terminal; a power supply unit for controlling power of the external device; a control unit for performing control operations for decoding data transmitted from the wireless terminal according to a command transmitted from the wireless terminal and transmitting the decoded data to the external device; and an output unit for transmitting the decoded data to the external device. The method includes powering the media device and the external device when the wireless terminal transmits a power-on command; searching for information relating to reproduction, which is attached to a reproduction command, and responding to the reproduction command when the wireless terminal transmits the reproduction command; and decoding data received from the wireless terminal and outputting the decoded data to the external device when a response to the reproduction command is performed.

A toilet water measuring and flow control system, including leak and overflow detection and prevention elements. The system has inlet and outlet flow sensors operably connected to inlet and outlet control valves and to water level sensors to measure and control water flow to and from the toilet. Water level sensors held in a toilet tank are connected to the system to control the volume of water fed to the toilet tank and passing through the outlet. The toilet tank may be provided with a movable reservoir to more accurately control the amount of water held in the tank and exiting the tank upon flushing.

A apparatus and method for estimating a channel condition of a forward link by a mobile station in a mobile communication system including the mobile station and a base station for performing an operation of transmitting/receiving data using a plurality of subcarriers having mutual orthogonality. The method comprises measuring carrier-to-interference ratio (C/I) values of the subcarriers using a signal received from the base station; determining from the received signal a subcarrier for transmitting feedback information in a given coherence bandwidth; generating feedback information to be transmitted over the determined subcarrier; and transmitting the generated feedback information to the base station as information for estimating a channel condition of the forward link.

Water leak detecting or overflow devices for a toilet may be inserted into or formed integrally with the toilet. The devices include at least one water leak sensor assembly mounted in a position in a toilet tank so as to detect the rise and fall of the water level in the toilet tank and an overflow detector in a toilet bowl. If the water level rises and falls a predetermined number of times, or if water continues to flow to the toilet longer than a measured increment of time, a microprocessor operates a normally-open valve and shuts off flow of water to the toilet tank. The devices also include a second sensor, whereby if a flapper remains open or water reaches a level where it might overflow the bowl or tank and stays there for a predetermined period of time, the microprocessor will also shut off flow to the toilet.

A flush toilet that uses a prescribed amount of cleansing water stored in a cleansing water tank to cleanse the toilet and discharge waste is disclosed. The flush toilet includes a bowl having a waste receiving surface, an overhanging rim and a shelf, a drainage channel whose inlet is connected to the bottom of the bowl for discharging waste, a first water spouting section for spouting cleansing water onto the shelf of the bowl to form a vortex; a second water spouting section for spouting cleansing water onto shelf of the bowl in the same direction as the swirling direction of the vortex, a first water channel for supplying cleansing water from the cleansing water tank to the first water spouting section, and a second water channel for supplying cleansing water from the cleansing water tank to the second water spouting section.

The present invention provides a method of operating a flushing system for efficient waste removal from and cleaning of a toilet bowl. In the disclosed method, a flushing system is provided that includes a pumping means having each of a rim diverter means and a jet diverter means in fluid communication therewith; a sensor means; a control means; a switching means; and a spray means. Activation of the switching means initiates at least a single flush schedule that comprises the steps of initiating operation of the pumping means; opening the jet diverter means for delivery of water to a jet delivery means in fluid communication therewith; subsequently closing the jet diverter means and simultaneously opening the rim diverter means; and directing water from the rim diverter means to a toilet rim in fluid communication therewith for terminal delivery of the water through the spray means.

A siphonic gravity-powered toilet is provided that is a rimless toilet and includes a toilet bowl assembly having a body and an inlet for receiving fluid. The toilet bowl has an interior bowl surface with an upper peripheral portion configured to have a shelf formed therein below an upper peripheral edge of the toilet bowl. The rimless toilet includes a jet having a jet inlet, an outlet and at least one jet channel. A manifold is included which is configured so that fluid entering an inlet of the toilet bowl assembly divides into a portion that enters the inlet of the direct-fed jet and a portion that enters an interior area of the toilet bowl. At least one toilet bowl inlet port is positioned at an upper rear portion of the toilet bowl. The at least one inlet port is configured to receive fluid from the manifold into the interior area of the toilet bowl such that at least a portion of the fluid travels along the shelf of the toilet bowl prior to passing into a lower portion of the toilet bowl.

A siphonic, gravity-powered toilet bowl assembly having a toilet bowl, which includes a bowl inlet in fluid communication with a source of fluid; a rim around an upper perimeter of the bowl defining a rim channel, having an inlet port in fluid communication with the bowl inlet and at least one outlet port; a bowl outlet in fluid communication with a sewage outlet; a direct-fed jet having an inlet port in fluid communication with the bowl inlet for receiving fluid and the bowl outlet for discharging fluid; and a control unit arranged in communication with the bowl inlet for controlling flow from the source of fluid passing through the bowl inlet into the inlet ports of the rim channel and the direct-fed jet, having a first extending rear portion and a second rim channel end portion, wherein the rear portion may extend at least partially into the bowl inlet.

A facial image photographed by a digital camera is downloaded to a PC. When a facial image correction program starts, a correction window and a correction item selection window open on a monitor. When a user opens the facial image in the correction window, a pixel extraction circuit extracts pixels representing a skin area, an eye area, a teeth area, and a hair area from the facial image. Correction items to be performed are determined in the correction item selection window. A cursor position detection circuit detects the position of a cursor in the correction window. When the cursor is in one of the areas, a facial image correction circuit judges whether the correction item corresponding to the area is selected. If the corresponding correction item is selected, the facial image correction circuit subjects a pixel pointed by the cursor to predetermined correction processing.

The present disclosure generally relates to improved water closet flanges and methods for installing such water closet flanges. In one exemplary embodiment, an improved water closet flange apparatus includes a flexible conduit portion (i.e. sleeve) and an integral membrane element sealing the top opening of the flexible sleeve. The membrane element is made of flexible materials such that the membrane element may be removed without breaking into pieces. In one embodiment, the integral membrane element includes indented portions to facilitate its removal. In another embodiment, the flange apparatus includes an outer flange connected to the flexible sleeve. Related methods for installing the disclosed flange apparatus between plumbing fixture discharges and waste drainpipes are also described.

A flushable cover for a plunger with a layer of a flushable paper material and a layer of a film soluble in cold water. The cover is constructed to maintain integrity during use of the plunger, but at the same time being capable of being broken down in water.

A full coverage fluidic oscillator (2) includes a fluidic circuit member preferably having an oscillation inducing internal chamber, at least one inlet (8) or source of fluid under pressure, at least a pair of output nozzles (14, 16) connected to the source of fluid for projecting at least first and second impinging fluid jets into free space, where the first and second impinging jets collide or impinge upon one another at a selected jet angle to generate a substantially omni-directional sheet jet having selected thickness. The first and second jets are aimed at a pre-selected intersection point in free space where impingement is to occur. The sheet jet's thickness Δy is determined by the time-varying path or oscillation of each of the first and second impinging jets. The first and second impinging jets can be made to oscillate or pulsate by use of vortex generating amplifier structures (68, 70, 72, 149) within the internal chamber's fluid flow paths.

A solution for cleaning and/or sterilizing one or more surfaces in a bathroom is provided. The sterilization can be performed using ultraviolet sources, which can emit ultraviolet radiation directed onto the surface(s). The cleaning can be performed using a fluid, such as water, that is flowed over the surface(s). The surface(s) can include at least a seat of a toilet and/or other surfaces associated with the toilet.

A decorative cap and nut for securing a toilet base to a floor includes a top substantially disc-shaped member having an upper disc surface and a lower disc surface. The diameter of said disc-shaped member is substantially greater than the thickness thereof so as to lie substantially flush with the toilet base. A coaxial cylindrically shaped stem extends vertically downwardly from the top and is connected to the lower disc surface. The stem includes an internal thread adapted to be threaded onto a floor bolt that extends upwardly through an aperture in the toilet base. A slot in the upper disc surface can be engaged by a tool for rotating the top and an O-ring located on the under disc surface seals the disc-shaped member to the upper surface of the toilet base. A plug fits within the slot to hide the same. The stem and top can be integrally formed in a single piece or can be made of more than one piece joined together.
