A powered auxiliary toilet seat lift provides a U-shaped casement formed by two similar elongate side members interconnected by a forward end plate to fit about a toilet stool and support a toilet seat structure thereabove for vertical and forwardly and downwardly angulated motion. Each casement side member is peripherally defined to create an internal chamber carrying similar elongately spaced lateral pairs of forward and rearward compound jackscrews that pivotally interconnect with the toilet seat structure thereabove. Powering mechanism provides separate electric motors powering each jackscrew that are controlled by a computerized feedback type circuitry for manually selectable or pre-programed motion of the toilet seat structure.

In combination with a toilet, the invention provides a device for disinfecting a toilet bowl. The device includes a light source, a powering unit and a switch. The light source may be configured to emit an ultraviolet beam of light. The light source may be mounted on or within a surface of a toilet seat lid so that the ultraviolet beam of light is directed into a cavity of the toilet bowl when the toilet seat lid is disposed in a generally horizontal closed position for covering an opening of the toilet bowl. The systems include a collection bowl, defined as a generally bowl-shaped part extending downward from a toilet seat-shaped rim and having a collection port at the bottom of the collection bowl, a sample cup releasably coupleable to the collection port having a collection volume in communication with the collection bowl, a collection basket lined with a screen to collect solid and particulate matter, and a sample spatula to manipulate solid waste. The present invention comprises a disposable hygiene device with a toilet seat with a top and bottom surfaces, where the toilet seat folds for storage before or after use. A receptacle is attached to the bottom surface of the toilet seat. After use, an adhesive on the top surface of the toilet seat is exposed by the removal of a protective layer. The toilet seat may then be folded onto itself to seal the hygiene device for easy disposal.
