packet loss measurement during streaming, relating to the field of
packet loss measurement technology. The method includes: acquiring an alternating coloring period and acquiring an
extended time value; based on the
extended time value, advancing and / or delaying the
extended time value on the basis of the alternating coloring period to form a statistical time; acquiring service packets; and statistically analyzing the coloring markers in the service packets based on the alternating coloring period and the statistical time to obtain
packet loss measurement information. By enabling non-coloring measurement nodes to extend the alternating coloring period based on the extended time to form a statistical time, the time for
statistical analysis of service packets is widened. Furthermore, due to the alternating coloring and non-coloring of service packets, even with low
clock synchronization accuracy, it is possible to completely statistically analyze service packets within both the coloring and non-coloring periods. This helps reduce dependence on
clock synchronization accuracy while ensuring the reliability of the statistics, thus guaranteeing the quality and accuracy of packet loss measurement.
