Circulatory assistance is provided in a non-invasive procedure safely and effectively using a microprocessor of an external counter pulsation device programmed to control the actuation of any or all of a plurality of valves, each of which is mounted on and in fluid communication with one of a plurality of individual inflatable bladders disposed in pockets within cuffs encasing the calves, thighs, buttocks, abdomen and/or chest of a person and an optional valve in fluid communication with the person's airway, in any desired sequence or order, toward the heart or toward the feet, either during diastole or systole, at desired inception times during the cardiac cycle, for selected durations and at chosen pressures, for treating a variety of cardiac, non-cardiac and circulatory conditions.

The present invention relates to a system and garment that incorporates sensors that can be used for measuring or monitoring pressure or forces in feet, the stumps of limbs of an amputee that are fitted with prosthetic devices, or any other parts of the body that are subject to forces such as the buttock while seated or when external pressure inducing devices are employed, such as for example, pressure bandages. A supporting structure for a chair, the supporting structure is a seat, a back support or a headrest. A nylon mesh is fixed on the annular upper surface of an inwardly projecting flange of the frame, and then the plastic-injection-molded engaging layer is integrally formed on the exterior surface of the frame, enabling the mesh to be firmly fixed on the frame. A valuables security-enhancing wrap-around apparel, comprising a wrap-around garment body made of flexible clothing material and having fastening means for releasably attaching the apparel securely around a wearer's waist, having a size and shape which when fastened to a wearer's waist substantially conceals and aesthetically covers portions of the wearer's hips, buttocks, upper legs and lower stomach, and comprising a rear apparel portion which extends downwardly in a freely-suspended manner past the wearer's buttocks to define an optimum or maximum concealed three-dimensional (3D) volume proximate to a rear upper region of the wearer's legs. A contoured seat generally includes a seat surface for supporting the thighs and buttocks of a sitter and a back surface for supporting the lower back of a sitter. An equestrian riding garment includes a pair of pants of elastic material having inner leg expanses and a butt expanse of durable material affixed to corresponding regions thereof, the inner leg and butt expanses being made of real or faux leather that is perforated to increase air permeability and to promote friction with a saddle. A buttock lift support extends a lift band from each of a pair of elastic leg bands to a waistband so as to wrap around the buttocks of the wearer and exert an upward pressure thereon. A temperature controlling seat cover with a first flexible mesh fabric layer, an open cell flexible foam layer, a second flexible mesh fabric layer and a flexible binding strip.
