Abstract

The present invention relates to a steering column assembly (20), comprising: - a column body (22); - a steering shaft (26) with longitudinal axis (AX), including two sections nested one inside the other, of which a first section (30) is free to rotate and fixed in longitudinal translation relative to the column body, and a second section (32) is rotationally coupled to the first section and movable in longitudinal translation; - an angular locking mechanism (40) for limiting the rotation of the steering shaft, comprising: - a lug (42) projecting radially from the first section; - a locking module (46), carried by the column body, comprising a locking member (48) having a portion for cooperation with the lug that is movable between a position in which it contacts the lug and a position in which it does not.
