Abstract

The present invention relates to a steering column assembly (20), comprising: - a steering shaft (26) rotating about its longitudinal axis (AX); - a structural element (24) locked against rotation about the longitudinal axis; - an angular locking mechanism (40) ensuring cooperation between the structural element and the steering shaft to limit the rotation of the steering shaft, comprising: - first and second internal threads (52, 54), with opposite orientations and rotationally fixed to the steering shaft; - first and second nuts (44, 46), each having an external thread (60, 62) cooperating with one of the corresponding internal threads; - means forming a slide between the nuts and the steering shaft; - means for limiting the longitudinal travel of the nuts.
